Title: Reminds me of the Kit era
Post by: Brawn on January 03, 2020, 06:11:20 PM
In a word? Meh. We're doing an OK job and we have more to lose than we do to gain in the short term by removing Scott, just as we did when we removed Kit. Remember the mess that resulted in waiting 7 weeks for a new manager and then Slav didn't exactly pull up any trees in the rest of that season.

We're doing as well as Slavisa did in the first 6 months of his 1st full season which led to the play offs

You really think we will go the rest of the season unbeaten (lol)?

Slav operated for the first season and a half without a centre forward . When they finally got him one in Mitro we took off . Not sure what we are waiting for this time .

A defence that stops the opposition from scoring more goals than we do ? Must be so demoralising for Mitro and co.

He was also consistently undermined by management selling off key players (e.g. Malone) and not replacing them.  Parker has at least been dealt a reasonable hand and has no excuse for not doing measurably much better than Jokanovic, and convincingly so in terms of performance.

We were taking teams apart that first season under Slav . 5 against reading and Huddersfield . Beat Newcastle at home ( Smalls lucky) but destroyed them away . We battered Brighton home and away but somehow lost them both ( sidwell said the Brighton players always talked about those 2 games) . We also missed 8 pens that year that cost us so many points . We are no where near those levels with arguably better players .

we are not doing as well insofar as the team under slav looked the part and showed real progress, save forneeding better players . currently we look a bit clueless and going backwards
