Blimey, no wonder we are struggling for goals.
Can't help but feel we made that final goal much harder than it should have been.
Kamara and Cav burst upfield. Kamara does well and lays it on a plate for Cav from 10 yards out and he chooses to cut back inside and return the pass to Kanara. Sirrr but that ball should have been nestling in the net 10 secs earlier.
The reason for the post is to highlight the lack of confidence of some players in front of goal.
Delighted with 3 points. Not a great performance but we ground out the victory.
Hats off to Christie (didn't think I would be saying that) who had a strong game when he came on.
Agree with many that players look jaded.
Still not sure about the midfield balance but having seen all the options I'm now struggling to see the right selections .
7 out of final 10 games either at home or on tv. Would love to go into the Leeds game within 3pts of them.
Sense Leeds and WBA are the strongest teams.
Only Fulham fans could be whinging about scoring a goal by saying it should've been scored earlier by someone else. Perhaps look at it another way and think that it was impressive that he stayed calm and with 3/4 players closing him down, he laid the ball back to Kamara who was in a better position to finish?
Howitis, the only thing you left out was wanting to avoid the mighty Brentford in the playoffs. Lighten up?
Thought the Preston defenders were very quick to close things down. Full credit to Cav and Kamara. We scored a goal what's not to like !
There was a chance a shot by Cav could have been blocked or saved. Knockers would have gone for goal and likely skied it. Cav did the right thing.
Or we can look at it from the positive viewpoint that Cav had the poise to get the keeper to go to ground and commit and then laid it on a plate for AK to crush home. If you watch the pass back to AK the pace was perfect for him to crush it in stride.
Cheers and COYW!
It was an excellent goal in my opinion
Just glad he didn't play it back to Rodak.
Perhaps we should have a full investigation as to why Cav did not panic and kept a cool head in that position and had the foresight to look up and be unselfish and see that AK was in support and in a better position to finish the job and seal the points for Fulham.
Yes a full investigation as heads could roll.
Not a great performance? We didnt role Preston over and win 6-0 but we were very solid ,patient and in control apart fromt the first 15 minutes.Decent football at times was played as well. 2-0 job done despite loads of injury problems and the best balanced weve looked in midfield for along time .
The real problem for the OP is his dislike for AK and seeing him score spoilt his day I think.
Well, I think very highly of AK47, but it beats me why Cavaleiro received the ball in the first place. In on goal, pace to burn, back yourself. But all's well that ends well.

Just a rather sad post. We win two on the bounce with two clean sheets. We up the tempo and reduce the backwards & sideways stuff somewhat. We see TC returning to form and Christie comes off the bench to put in a MoM performance. So much has been good about the last two games (not perfect but good). And the OP has to come out with some highly dubious criticism of a fine break away goal. God give me strength!
Give us all strength Twig
And if Cav had missed or the keeper saved it he would be blasted for not passing. It was the correct decision as we scored and the ball back to AK meant he had a virtually empty goal to score in.

I know everyone else above my reply says you are wrong but the truth is, Cav really should have scored that, AK does brilliantly, Cav supporting him was also brilliant as it streches the defence, but score he should have
Only on FOF could you expect a bun fight between those 'so desperate to find fault' they'll find it somehow and those 'desperate for hope' who will criticise just anybody who doesn't share their view. The two goals that effectively won the last two games were very good goals and Kamara was instrumental in both of them. The overall performances were not of a team threatening to win the Championship, nowhere near, and there is still a lot of water to pass under the bridge. We come away with fourteen points from seven games in February knowing we should not have thrown points way against Millwall, Barnsley and Derby. That is my bottom line.
Did you not see the sprint he made to get up there or did you not recognise that AK was in a better position to score?
You may use the name of how it is but sometimes, it is not how you see it.
This whole thing reminds me of a goal AK scored at the putney end....cant remember who against tho......where he worked his nuts off to keep ball in play, put the defender on his arse and scored from a narrow angle...great goal.
The what do I see on here......he should have passed it.
I've watched the replay of yesterday's goal, I think Cav would have had to hit it first time and it was not quite in right position to do it, pass was level with him and not in front, so takes touch and then lays off.....what's the bloody issue?

Yep, really nice to see FFC score a transition goal, for a change. So few of them this year and last. Great speed with AK and Cav busting a gut to keep up. I did think Cav made many poor passes during the game, but he saved his last as a very good lay off that produced a goal. Glad it was AK and Cav. Had Mitro been in the mix, I doubt a goal would have been scored. (His lack of speed)
