I am bemused how such a simple kick is impossible to accomplish by our players. I played RB & took all our corners & never hit the 1st defender. This was with a proper football & not the beach balls they use now.
I wouldn't let Mitrovic take any set pieces, no free kicks or pens, he's just not that good at them. And judging by cairneys reaction, mitro was meant to dummy the free kick. And as for corners, yes we suck at them big time
The maddening thing on top of the maddening thing is that no way was the Mitro/Cairney scenario a free kick in the first place. Had AK not gone down like he had been shot at he was through and even from ten rows back it was a scary sight to behold. He seemed to have a better touch today and who knows what might have happened.
I know the ref took some stick today but there were some very lightweight players on both sides at times today.
Another comment about what the opposition fans say was mirrored after Swansea when a group I was with half expected a hammering after thirty minutes and then went semi deranged over the penalty. In my humble etc it was not a penalty today.
Yes, the corner deliveries are mostly poor.
Mitro has consistently failed taking free kick shots on goal.
He's not perfect but of the front three I felt AK was the only one who regularly worried BC's defence.
