It just seems clear to me that these tactics are for a different set of players in a different situation. Our players in the main just shout out quick, attractive counter attacking on the floor with a mix of Reed, Arter or Kmac holding.
How our players have ended up in a team asked to play the tactics we end up playing, I find odd. What has happened to our midfielders dropping deep to collect the ball and pulling the opposition onto us to create space?
I have no problem with our virtually long ball game every now and then but.....Oh, whatever.
Huddesrfield went up and they were pretty drab, so, who knows but bloody hell this season just continues to feel so underwhelming.
If we were Blackburn, on the slide, slightly punching above our weight pushing for the last play off spot, these tactics would make sense.
Parkerball seems a good strategy for an average team, where other teams want to win, come at us and don't want the clock running down without scoring against us.
