Title: TV Fixtures
Post by: filham on August 25, 2020, 12:09:26 PM
We now have available the full Premier League fixtures and dates.
The next step are the modified dates due to live TV matches.
When will these modifications be issued.

Can't wait to know how we are going to watch the Arsenal match.

From Daily Express yesterday ...

When will the Premier League TV fixtures be announced?

Rights to Premier League games are shared between Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime.

A statement read: "The Premier League has agreed with its UK broadcast partners to increase the number of matches shown live from 200 to 220 for the 2020/21 season only.

"Of the additional live fixtures, 12 will be shown on Sky Sports, six on BT Sport and two on Amazon Prime Video.

"The UK broadcast selections for the early match rounds will be confirmed next week."

Thanks, we have to wait until next week, bet we will be excluded as Arsenal had such a poor season and they will be concentrating on Liverpool, Man City Chelsea , Manu and Spurs.

Man City and Man Utd aren't playing in the first week. Looking at the fixture list I think there's a strong chance our game will be on the TV.

I recon the Leeds Liverpool game is the one they'll show

I am guessing the extra twenty games cover all the matches up until the anticipated return of live customers attending live games in October ... and so, fingers crossed etc., the opening two matches or so involving FFC should be covered.

As somewhat of a youngster I am curious:

Is there actually evidence to suggest showing 3pm matches drastically reduces attendances at lower league games?

I really struggle to see the logic in the"blackout" of 3pm games, and would love some info if anyone has any.
