Defenders just making awful decisions all game, once we're out of our own half it's okay but in our own half the whole team seems to have a brain fade and it's not even like we're being pressed that hard

Not sure whether to bother with the second half but I'd set this time aside and now have nothing else to do.
I hope we're going to get another TK video this evening talking about the quality of his defensive signings.
What does Lemina actually do?
We are missing the physicality of Anguissa...its so plain and obvious, awful omission and our DMs have struggled in his absence. That said...our defending has been useless because there has been ZERO cover out wide from Lookman and BDR.
They are running rampant out wide.
Men against boys, new defence still a shambles. Offensively we don't look bad BCR looking good and a threat. Not sure what Scott will do to change it maybe anguissa for lamina maybe a 3rd CB and switch to a 5.This could be a real pasting guys.
When are going to stop playing a dozen passes before we clear our zone?
They are pressing us and we persist.
Parker better make changes at the half.

We are playing with ten men, thanks to selection of Cav this team was appalling set up mentally and selection wise. Lookman not wide enough, free kicks shambolic, corners a waste, right back awful, Parker needs sacking this is Parks level mistakes. We are miles off today after being OK v West Ham.
Worse thing is looking so unprofessional. Agree with other posters what on earth does Parker do all week. They look like they have not played together since West Ham game.
Change it at half time we might steal a goal back and force a draw, otherwise we are losing 2 or 3 more. We are wide open on our right.Tete needs selecting or even Odoi. Just not tight on his man at all. So depressing, all this is avoidable by simple common sense and not playing with ten men.

I dont think the players are the problem...they've clearly been an upgrade the first few games we saw a massive difference... the system is a mess, constant 1 on 1or 1 on 2s in wide positions. Our wingers are so high up as we have no CF that they are having a field day moving the ball around I'm wide positions. That means our CB keeps getting drawn out wide to help and before you know it our defence is all over the place.
Also....BDR giving that ball away for their first goal was criminally poor and somewhat set the mood.
I blame it on the international break, the team selection and the fact that we are simply out of our depth in the PL.
Same mistakes, same issues. As Danny Murphy says, it's a managerial decision. Parker reminds me of Ray Wilkins, he expects players to play a certain way when, at this level, they are not good enough.

Awful subs, Cairney most creative player by a mile. Cav worst player along with Aina and Lemina. Any of those should have gone.
Frankly Everton were there for the taking today. Play Lookman wide, get crosses in, use his pace. We did it once.And scored.Play Anguissa from the start.He dominates.
Honestly this is basic stuff. Parker is clueless.

Start with Lookman left, RLC right and Mitro in the middle
Cairney in front of Ried/Lemina (either plays better with frank along side them) and Anguissa in the middle ... can only assume Frank was tired after travelling because his ommission today was criminal otherwise.
Even more frustrating to see that dominance late on...we have the players and the talent but first half our system was a joke. Our wing backs completely exposed and no adjustment during the half combat it.
I still hope he learns fast but a better manager does much more with this squad.

I've no idea whose decision it is to give Cav the penalty. The guy looks completely devoid of any confidence in terms of output. But yes, Parker, team selection all wrong and corrected only when the game was lost. Anyone with a few brain cells could see a midfield with Reed and Lemina isn't going to work. You either put Reid in AM and drop Cairney deeper with one of Lemina OR Reed. Honestly, I'm not calling for Parker out but how is this not obvious?

I'll hazard a guess and say it was against a lower championship team when we had ample possession and much better quality of player than the oppo.
I defended Cavaleiro last season because I thought he was quality at that level and better than Knockaert. But he never has, and never will, be able to regularly make an impact at this level. The fact he's still our 4th best forward shows how poor our summer recruitment was in that area.
