Title: Big game tomorrow night
Post by: H4usuallysitting on December 28, 2020, 12:47:25 PM
Burnley v Sheffield United.... Sheffield in their last 2 games drew 1-1 at Brighton & lost 1-0 to Everton.... I'm hoping Sheffield get 3 points, then it'll be up to us to turn over Hotspuds

Unfortunately, I can only see a Burnley win.

Agree, a straightforward Burnley win. Maybe 1 or 2 nil.

Sheff U came close to drawing with Man U, and also to beating Brighton, being 1-0 up, then  nearly getting a winner in the closing stages, so i think this will be  a hard fought game.

Sheff will know they can't afford to lose this,  they have to keep Burnley firmly in the relegation fight to have any chance what so ever themselves.

Who cares? Fulham controls its own destiny.

I think Burnley will prove too strong for Shef.U and are likely to accumulate more points in the new year. We cannot continue to rely on West Brom and Burnley losing but must start to win our games.

Well I care, it's true we have to win our games, but it helps if the teams around us aren't getting results, Sheffield.UTD beating Burnley would be very helpful for us.

We don't if we carry on not picking up wins. I care

exactly that. We are already under pressure to win which will only get worse if we are cut adrift. I want 3 teams to lose every game to make our life easier.

Agree totally, as if teams around us are picking up results we could get cut adrift unless we start winning asap

While I think most fans do pay attention to other teams' results, you're right.  FFC needs to start winning some games and adding points to their total.  It's up to them if they want to remain in the Prem.  Can't rely on all the teams around us to continue to lose.  Some of these recent draws should have been wins with more clinical finishes.  FFC needs to show points while they're showing to be a better team on the pitch since the poor start.

When concern about other teams is displayed, it always makes me think of that person(s) as Kevin Chang...

I don't care about other teams, I just want Fulham to beat every team we play, even though that is not always going to be

Fulham Fulham Fulham Fulham, nothing more, nothing less

We are not relying on other teams results to define us and clearly we have to play our part in our own survival but where we are in the league we need all the help we can get.  I would have thought that was obvious.

Sounds like double-speak to me.  You say we don't rely on others, yet you say based on our standing that it's obvious we need help from others.

Bottom line is FFC does have to take matters in their own hands and do control their own destiny.  FFC has shown recently that we can compete even against the top clubs.  It's time to start adding points against all comers, especially mid and lower table sides.

Don't think it will be that straightforward for Burnley. I am predicting a draw.

Also I think Brighton and Arsenal will be a draw.

Leeds I think will beat WBA.

An FFC goal or 3 will help...

A dominant start to the game by Burnley but they've lost a player through injury already.
