I know us rose tinted Fulham fans get pretty outnumbered on here but my that felt good
Standing until it can't be mathematically accomplished. Why support otherwise?
I'm standing up in both ways.
Massive game v Burnley this week.... although tbf they are ALL massive....
COYW 👍⚽️⚽️😉
Genuinely in two minds now... invest some hope in the possibility that we stay up, with the likelihood that it will prolong the pain... or accept relegation despite a fantastic result and small chance it's the chance of something special...

Yep.
Then next game is massive. Absolutely massive.
Everyone wants the guys to stay up but it's look increasingly unlikely as the games kept coming and going and we didn't get any extra points past the usual. It was great to get the win, but we've won before and then gone back to drawing.
Today's game was a glimpse of the fight and tenacity we've be desperately in need of, players hassled and harried everton.
That being said though, we shouldn't get carried away and it would be naive to do, despite our dominant performance - we A) need to up it still to take away the issue of chance of us 'not getting the luck', B) need to seriously take into consideration the fact that Everton played a very long and tough game against tottenham and C) rested their two main CB's.
That's not to take away from the performance, we deserved the win and the team turned up - it's a relief to see us having won and also promising that Maja scored simple goals - but we need to move forward from this and make it count. We've got three big games coming up which if we continue to get wins can make a huge difference for us, but we can't let up after one win - we HAVE to keep up the aggression and keep converting our chances.
Fulham newcastle last game will be the decider
This has to be almost the perfect all round team performance. History was made today with our first League win at Everton and how could anybody have any doubts we couldn't do it. We actually played Everton off the park for 90 minutes.

I'd take that. I think we have their number. It's just a case of whether we can close that gap.

+1 Agree with all you've written
I will never ever stop believing.
We have a sliver of hope, but it's hope.
Up
Said ages ago it will go to the wire, still believe that, the Newcastle game could be our play off final!
Pick that team Scotty, play like that boys and Maja score the goals and we are standing all the way back up the league.

I have but one thing on my mind, more of the same please. We were magnificent against a team tipped for a European place on a ground we have never won a league match on.
This is cause for celebration, whose round is it 🍺
Believing till it's mathematically impossible always did always will

Exactly. We can still believe in our hearts, even if our heads tell us it's diminishing.

Funny how football effects people. Last match I walked away convinced we were down. Now, mid table....... :005:

My pleasure sir one large pint on its way 🍺
I am very pessimistic about this season, but a total believer this we will finish 17th in the Premier League within the next 3-4 years, and then kick in up the table. I believe we are on the right track, keep going.

Thank you for that announcement, I feel so much better for this extraordinary foresight and vision you possess.
I hope you watched the match tonight so easy on the eye witnessing Fulham out play Everton for 90 minutes, to appreciate the hard work Scott and the players put in to gain such a memorable victory, this was no ordinary win, it was a glorious victory of Epic Proportions.
Who knows if we can make up the gap especially with matches 2 or 3 per week. But it could be fun to watch

Mid table is a possibility but I will stick with my original prediction of 15th. COYW

2 to 3 games is perfect each week, if we win, Saturday just gone, Burnley, Newcastle and Palace probably not that concerned about us, fast forward 6 days to wins over Everton, Burnley and SU and all of a sudden they are dragged right back into it and we are flying.
If course, it can go the other way but momentum is key, if we get it, no stopping us.

+1, 1st morning I have woken up feeling positive in a long while, roll on Wednesday, move of the same Fulham please.
If I had to bet then it would be on relegation, so my head says we will go down. But of course I live in hope and it's performances like this that stoke those fires.

You should try it more often. Its far more fun.
There are pills you can take, so I understand.
Some lovely football and the deserved result was the outcome which has not always been the case. If you had been a neutral watching that (and not aware of our habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory) you'd have said that Fulham bossed the game from start to finish and never looked like taking anything but 3 points
It's going to be tough, very tough but we can do it and playing every game at this standard should be our benchmark. It was our home game against Everton (the second half performance) that acted as the springboard for some great form although we didn't capitalise with enough goals. Hopefully this time the Everton performance will prove to be a springboard with victories.
If we get an average of 1.5 points per game, we will stay up. Looking at the next 3 games (Burnley, Sheff Utd and Palace) we must go for all 9 points although I think anything of 5 or more keeps us on course. It was great to see BDR playing in the middle again which I think also made a difference.
Hopefully, we've turned a corner - COYW
I will remain standing and believing until the maths say no. 70 years since we won at Turf Moor.... 049:gif

You're right...the maths don't lie.
We can still become PL Champions by 10 clear points and only Brighton and Man City have lost fewer games than us out of the last 5 matches.
However, and please don't take this as being negative after last night's fantastic performance and result, but I feel Scott should hold a press conference to concede the league and make it clear to all that we're now focussing on achieving a Top 4 finish from now on 064.gif
