Title: Believing the hype
Post by: 70sPimlico on March 21, 2021, 09:11:40 PM
I've not really been on since Friday. Did a quick look and it doesn't appear to have been said.

After Liverpool and the subsequent stating of our defensive stats, something like least goals conceded bar Man City since turn of the year, did anyone get the feeling that Anderson and Tosin thought they had that extra yard/second and could dwell on the ball?

I really felt they took an extra touch in both games.

The two opponents you can't do that against are city and Leeds. I was so impressed with city in both how they closed the ball  down and the options available. It really was special. They were expert in dealing with what they are faced with every game.

The good news is that they now have a reality check and more importantly won't face a team as good as those two at dealing with it.

I agree with 70sPimlico to some degree yes, that is probably a fair point. I really think though, that we need to remember that the enemy also gets a vote. Meaning that in our last two games, we were up against the most in forms clubs in all of the land.
