Title: Our next four games
Post by: The Swan on October 11, 2021, 08:11:38 PM
How important are our next four games. Three games at home , only one away.
This is the time we do need to put four wins in a row.
Difficult games, Rangers and Cardiff at home, Forest away and then WBA at home.
These four games will be a good test for our manager and players.
Win these four and we will be in a good position near the top of the table.

At the moment can't see us getting more than 7 to 8 points. The International break will mean tired Players, Injuries etc etc etc. Hopefully Silva learned that only some of those should play against the Hahaha's.
One game at a time though.

Agree - one game at a time. These will be tough games.

The expectation of 4, almost 'must wins' - how I hate that phrase, though not actually used by the op -seems great, and  as if to drop any points at all would be a failure.

I hope we put in  good performances during these games, and get a decent outcome from them, that keeps us in the  promotion race.

It has to be one game at a time, do not look any further than that. Every match is important but the next match is the most important.

Those four games for a promotion team should not be looked upon as difficult but more like routine wins.
West Brom should be a challenge but being at home we should be favourites .

However our current form and inability to score goals mean we can only look forward to hard battles with the results on a knife edge.

Yes , one game at a time has to be the right attitude and right now we just have to wait to see who is fit and ready to go after the international break.

Next four games are HUGE!!!

Agree with others that FFC needs to take it one game at a time, but this grouping of games are really big and could impact chances of promotion, thru playoffs or autos.  Could define just what kind of club we have, top six/mid table/low table.

Best make it clear if you mean queue jumpers, high jumpers, horse jumpers or fleas as no doubt doubt Woolly has experience of each.

We need to stop blaming poor performances on International breaks

Last time it was the weather

Maybe we can blame it on the players socks

Bingo that!  And don't forget the old (and traditional) 'injury' excuses.  This is professional football at a high level and teams and players are formed to survive (or not) regardless of injuries, weather, difficulty of schedule, international beaks, or socks issues.

Enough of the 'excuses'..........

Nothing less than 10 points will suffice

Afraid I am already forming an excuse for not winning against QPR, Stefjo will have another blinder and our strikers will miss all of their chances.

QPR on offer at 9/2 which seem long odds to me. Hoping the curse of Craven Cottage strikes QPR again.

Agreed.  I note others might be 'happy' with less, and that's fine, if you don't care about promotion this season.......

70 points in our remaining 35 games should be enough to get us promoted...having gone off the boil a bit recently, 8 points in four games would keep us on track for a total of 90...

Well done lads, well done!!

We are now through 3 games of this 4 game batch post Coventry debacle.  Many here felt that during these four games FFC needed a minimum of 10 points to stay in the promotion conversation, especially the top two conversation.  Well, going into the 4th game all 9 points have been secured.  Great news!

Now, the question is, do we walk away with 9, 10, or 12 points?  Fingers crossed for the full 12!!!

As far as this division goes, we have a side full of big game players - as long as we aren't physically bullied by WBA (I don't think that we will be) then there is every chance we could batter them.

What a result today. One more game out of our difficult games. Lets really go for it against West Brom on Saturday.

The last three games just couldn't have gone better for us. A good clear week now to allow full preparation for the West Brom match.

This run has really set up what could be a crucial point of the season against West Brom..... if we were to beat the baggies it would put us four points clear of them entering November which on paper is probably our easiest month of fixtures on paper .

A win v West Brom would sure be sweet.  But don't hang your hat on ease of schedule following.  I've never been able to go along with that reasoning, but that's just me.  Nice run so far for FFC following the Coventry debacle, fingers crossed for three points this Saturday.

A very good run that makes us top promotion contenders. both our defense amd attack have done well, lets hopr the form continues.

Injuries, red cards and over confidence seem to be the biggest threats we face right now.

Just what I was hoping for. Four wins out of four difficult games.
