Title: Fab and Neco
Post by: StuinSalop on February 02, 2022, 09:32:50 AM
Checked out the training vid on the offal and what stood out for me was the nice smile and fast work of Fab during the training drills.   Did not look in any way pissed off.  This is where good man management by Silver becomes very important.  Who know, even Tony Khan may have called him to reassure that things would work out fine.

Interesting to see Neco  looking sharp and running and messing about with Wilson.  Tete was involved as well which makes it clear to me his injury can't be too bad, probably not ready for full on games just yet but should be back soon.  Seri was also present and very involved.

So this is the squad that will do or die in the next 4 months, seriously good all round quality with a great coach.  We really should be very confident however I have supported Fulham too long to think anything will be simple.

He's missed out on a transfer, but that contract from Liverpool will get sorted out between now and the summer.

Fab won't throw his toys out of the pram. It's the perfect platform to impress Liverpool scouts for a few months, so he can be included in their senior squad from the first day.

Even more to play for him, he's got a club desperate for him - it's now an opportunity to show his class and maybe even increases his value a bit more.

Why would fab look unhappy., He will still go to liverpool and clearly has his sights set elsewhere.

Nothing has changed for him and the media are talking of a pre transfer window agreement. Which to me looks a bad thing that shouldn't be allowed.

Silva knew he was keeping a player that wants to leave until the end of the season so he has done nothing.

I think the situation is very poor and seems to be a feature of modern football where larger teams seeem to have free reign to destabilise lower rated clubs and there staff.

Which, to be fair is what we have done over the years as well. It's how the game is run nowadays

We should all be fully focused on the next 18 championship games and it is so good to hear that Carvalho is training with us and looking good. He is a key part of the team and should help secure a place in the Premier League for us.

If we win the league I can imagine the club offering him a big contract. I still think Fabio will still, just as I believed he wouldn't leave this window.

I think we'll be able to negotiate a 5 year deal for him with a £20m buy out clause. I think that's achievable

While I think Fab will be fine and professional as he has been the whole time I do wonder about people who ask " why wouldn't he be" He is a 19 year old kid who has just had a dream move to arguably the best team in the world under arguably the best manager in the world break down at the last minute because paperwork was a few minutes late... who knows how that will affect him, he could be thinking about getting inured etc etc

Fab was going to play for Fulham until the end of the season if the deal went through or not, this gives his agent more time to take wages with Liverpool with the hints of well Barxa, Madrid have also been in contact and are offering £XXX

Not having a dig but can we correct the thread title; Neco not Nico.

Nico was an influential part of the NY underground with the Velvet Underground, Andy Warhol etc. but she's no footballer!
