Just another 15 points from 11 games (don't think we will be beaten on goal difference), well done tonight Fulham. At half time I was thinking a draw would be a good result, the sending off did help but then we went into overdrive. :wine:

Not thinking that way. I want a proper job done as far as finishing as best we can. Game by game, focus only on the next opponent. Keep clear water between the teams behind us. Use our players, discover what is best going forward as far as hopefully a return to the Premiership. Decide what positions need improving & sign the replacements early. Thanks & gratitude to the guys who are getting us ever so near. Keep them on as cover unless they just don't or can't cut it.
So pleased & happy as we stand. A clean & wholesome club with no "dirty money" links. What could be better?
COYW!!
Could be promoted before the next Home Game then ??!!!!
How about sealing it by winning up the road on April 2nd ???
Three wins would put us on 85 points
Huddersfield would have played 40 by then so if they were not on 66 ??
85 points has been enough on average over the last ten seasons (only one season req more).
90 points plus for the title please. 1949/2001/2022???
The way I see it is 85 points will see us up and 90 will see us as champions. So let's keep on motoring
So refreshing to have a manager that believes in attacking football, I still think Scott wouldn't have pushed his team forward like that.
It's not over until we are either
- 22 points ahead of third place with seven games to go OR
- 19 points ahead of third place with six games to go OR
- 16 points ahead of third place with five games to go OR
- 13 points ahead of third place with four games to go OR
- 10 points ahead of third place with three games to go OR
- 7 points ahead of third place with two games to go OR
- 4 points ahead of third place with one game to go OR
- 1 point ahead of third place with zero games to go
We are current 14 points ahead of third place with eleven games to go. If we maintain our current lead for seven games, we get promoted before four games to go. I would prefer to avoid needing points in our last three games against Bournemouth, Luton, and Sheffield because we could do a Leeds against those three.
Let's be honest low 80's is getting you promoted this season which we could have in 6 days time if we win our next 2 games. The 3 behind also still have to play each other

I think us playing this stretch of away games really plays into our hands. If we were at home everyone would shut shop, use the low block - which we struggle against - and hit us on the break. At home they have to make an effort to come at us and then its us on the break and we can rip the hearts out of many teams doing that.
We should be aiming to win the league, get more than 100 points, score more than 100 goals, and get Mitrovic to 40 goals
Call me greedy but I want 100+ goals, 100+ points, Mitro to break Whittingham's record, promotion to be secured at QPR; and the title secured at Bournemouth with a comprehensive victory that knocks Bournemouth out of the automatic spot and which ultimately results in Parker getting the sack. We literally may never see another season quite like this in our lifetimes; so drink it in and enjoy

If we manage that we could compare this to the promotion/championship winning side under Tigana.
Some beautiful football played under Silva as well.

A good table and so right, we really mustn't risk counting those chickens too early. However with our amazing goal difference I think at this stage a point could safely be deducted from the required points
No such thing as a dead certainty, but Fulham being promoted this year is as close as there is to 1 now.
Huddersfield next three matches..WBA away, Milwall (form team) away, Bournemouth home.
None of them easy.

We actually need 16 points to guarantee automatic promotion as things stand right now since Huddersfield can reach 92 points in the highly unlikely event they win their last 10 matches. 15 more points would only give us 91.
But I agree that mid-high 80s will see us promoted automatically this season.

Plus one! If that happened, I would absolutely do everyone's heads in talking about it, every time I've had 4 pints of lager!!

We should be aiming at reaching the international break with 82 points and 9 games to go. It would be nice by that stage that Huddersfield could be 62 points with seven games to go (i.e. maximum of 83 points) so that a win at QPR 100% completes the promotion. Alternatively going into the QPR game, we could be 76 points with three games in hand and Huddersfield are 74 points.
My point is we have to get the promotion in the bag as soon as possible, then we can sign up next years players as soon as possible. I am sure Anguissa and Cavalho will be more interested in reading contracts, once it is 100% we are playing in the premier league, something teams like Everton won't be able to say until the end of the season.

Thinking bigger and tempting fate to the full......we are confirmed champions and so enter the pitch at Bournemouth (4 games to go) through a guard of honour, with Mr Parker at its head.
A tough ask, but assisted if they continue their essentially mid-table form of recent months, meaning they won't have hit 80 points by kick-off time. Fun thought anyway.

My mistake, yes we need 16 more points though 12 will probably be enough.

I think it's best if we end the season (ie get promoted) as early as possible because no player can really relax until the job is done.
Once we are promoted we can give some game time to Gazza; Tete, Mawson, Kongolo, Bryan; Hector, Onamah, Hilton; Knockaert, Muniz, and Stansfield. Some of those have a future with us and others need to get in the shop window for the summer.
Target should be 33 points from here on. Keep winning because winning becomes a habit, a good habit, and once you get the flavour of winning you keep it ticking over and by doing that it will guarantee over and above 100 goals which always looks and feels good to achieve that target.
The earlier we achieve promotion the more time Fulham have to commence their preparation to accomplish signing their first or second choice targets in their mission to organise their preseason to be prepared in plenty of time for their assault on the English Premier League ( not Premiership, that's Rugby Union ).
Whether Fabio stays remains to be seen, if unfortunately he leaves, the more time Fulham have to replace him the more chance of getting an adequate replacement.
If and when we do achieve the target of promotion with games to go, we must try and keep on winning up to the last match, because that's what winners do.
Not sure i would want the surly Zambo back just because he appears to only want to play in the EPL. I would not want to accommodate him, he is clearly a fair weather player.
Not good for team spirit amongst the Fulham players who have spent the season rolling their sleeves up for each other sweating blood with fire in their bellies.
We want players who will stick together through thick and thin.
If we do get back into the EPL it is paramount we stay there this time not bounce up and down as that is expensive and destabilises the club, as Fulham need stability to build the foundation to achieve future glories.
By doing that we may be in a much stronger position financially as well as being a Premier League team to hold on to our Jewels coming through from the Academy.
Success in the right hands breeds success.
We should naturally attract the quality players we need but they have to be the right players with the right attitude and mental strength. Yes Attitude, Mental Strength, Grit and Resilience, especially in adversity.
No big time Charlie's, no players who don't punch their weight, no players with soft underbelly's.
The Premier League is unforgiving and any team with passengers will be taken to the cleaners as we have already witnessed.
However the next target is to win Saturday and reach the finishing line asap, to be given the opportunity to prepare and organise for next season.
If the club are serious about staying in the premiership next season and beyond, I would imagine our management are already identifying a list of possible players, maybe already sending out feelers to a few players through their footballing network. We all know clubs talk to agents and players long in advance of any official approach.
