Title: Swansea City's Ryan Manning's red card
Post by: graham on March 18, 2022, 06:07:27 PM
Swansea City's Ryan Manning's red card against Fulham has been upheld following an appeal, meaning the defender will start a four-match ban.

The dismissal for a foul on Harry Wilson was the Irishman's second of the season, so the centre-back won't be available until the Swans' trip to Millwall next month.

Yeah, really doubted that the card would be recinded.  It was a harsh tackle on the ankle from behind.  Harry is lucky his ankle wasn't damaged during the tackle.

It was thuggery despite the apologists' efforts to make light of it.

Amazed that they decided to appeal, perhaps they wanted him suspended for 4 games 🤔😂

They should've added another game to the ban for the spurious appeal.

I'm glad it wasn't rescinded. It looked bad at the time to me and if you want to take tackles like that out of the game you have to make a strong stand
