Fulham 3 - 0 Brighton (Really need to keep a lid on Gros and Trossard). For chances created, they don't score enough goals.
We need to impose ourselves on them. At the moment, we don't have anyone to control the tempo of the game.
So at times it becomes a 'basketball' game.
Sorry about the thread title (read Arsenal), gremlins, told me to contact Admin.
Very difficult one to predict, Our small squad put in a shed load of effort yesterday and need to really be at the races for the game against Brighton. They are very well organised, keep going and hard to break down, the way they have started the season will only help their confidence. Saying that I think we can get all 3 points if we stick to our game and avoid silly mistakes, heart says 2-1 Fulham, head says I'll be happy with a draw.
This will be a real test. The first midweek game of the season with a squad as thin as ours, I think energy levels may be a problem.
The 11 that started v Arse gave it their all and I know they are pro sportsmen and certainly a lot fitter than in previous seasons, but it is a concern.
Brighton are playing v well and Potter is great coach. I think it will be a good game and am hoping for the 3 points but can see it being a 1-1 draw.

Why would it be a problem? We played two games a week all last season.
Fulham 2-0 Mitro both goals
A huge game. Will need to be at our best to win this, and I'll think we'll do it by the odd goal.
We will lose and the heavens will open and all the good that has been done will be forgotten and God will spite the unworthy and sayeth unto the fans blame Tony and the defence and the weak bench. The fans will stone those that sayeth it isn't the end of the season and darkness will settle upon the Earth.

😂😂 very good
Fulham 1 Brighton 1
Brighton have started the season in great form and will present us with a difficult match at the Cottage and with Spurs and Chelsea to follow we need a win to avoid the possibility of dropping into the relegation zone.
Why is it we always seem to meet teams when they hit their best form.
We took some hard knocks at Arsenal and there could be doubts about fitness in all positions.

Fulham 2-0 Mitro both goals
I agree with Cravenette, I think it's a challenge because in this division against the likes of Arsenal we have far less possession and do far more work defending and tracking back. Our squad is also thinner than last season. All in all I'd take a draw.
There are also 38 games in the season as opposed to 46 last season.
Feel so sorry for Marco.
Committed to playing exactly the same team on Tuesday due to having "no other option"
Squad remains Twiggy like.
Fancy a red card in this one for some reason. Know nothing of Brighton but just imagine they have 1 if not 2 big, ugly clogger type centre backs that Mitro will run ragged.

Brighton have a good team, there's no doubt about that. Still, they may be 3rd now but they will be closer to mid table by the end of the season, probably 6th at best. A draw at home against Brighton may be seen as a decent result right now but it won't keep us up. We need three points from games like this one.
The problem is of course that we have no attacking options on the bench.
Also, Ream has started this season brilliantly (FAR above my expectations) but I remember some talk last season about his stats dropping significantly when playing two games per week? He's been one of our best players this season but we can't afford to have any tired legs in our defence against Brighton. I trust our medical team will make the right decision.
This is our most important game so far this season IMO. It's the first game to give us a good indication where we stand. If we start picking up 3 points against teams expected to finish 6th-12th we're starting to look like a mid-table team. Lose or draw this one and we might be heading for another relegation fight.
I think our lack of depth may be a problem so soon after the Arsenal game. I have a bad feeling about this one... Hoping for a win of course!
I'm more confident of beating Chelsea at home than Brighton to be honest
Brighton are decent, think we'll lose a close game again
Just to add, they have only let one goal in. Still going for a Fulham win.
For those who are predicting a draw against Brighton, what then do you predict for the next two games against Spurs and Chelsie? so you are happy to settle for a point out of the next three games after a loss this week.
No no, we put up two good performances against Liverpool and Arsenal and could have stole three points from the first game. We cannot go into any home game expecting or settling for a point.
1-0 Brighton in my head.
1-0 Fulham in my heart. Mitrovic of course.
Our players put in a real shift yesterday. With Brighton only a few days away, I'm hoping our players have fully recovered and are ready for Brighton. This is where our thin squad might play against us. If we play like we have been since the start of the season then we should pick up points

There's a difference between predicting a draw and being happy with a draw. It's not as if our predictions will affect the result in any way whatsoever.
Bernd Leno to get his first clean sheet.
Players starting to gel well. Mitro can score consistently under Silva.
We will be at home. So, 3-0.

why do you think Chelsea will be harder than Brighton at this particular time, Brighton are higher in the table, they have just beaten Leeds who stuffed Chelsea. They have only conceded 1 goal and looked great against man utd and are full of confidence. I think this will be one of our hardest home games and I also have a feeling that someone might get sent off. Because I'm on a roll with the correct results I will go for a 2-1 win but would be happy with a point.
1-2 Brighton. Brighton are exactly where Fulham should aspire to be as a club and think they'll do enough.
Well I seem to remember many on this site a couple of weeks back saying Brentford will be one of our toughest home games after they stuffed Man U the week before. Many on here seem more that ready to believe in the winning abilities of our opponents before placing fate in their own team.
its one thing to say you hope our team will win, but its far better to express belief and confidence that they will win. Out of fours games so far, none was against a bottom table side yet, and two were against two of the biggest sides in the league - yet, Mitro scored in each of the games and all of our players performed like a team with belief and confidence.
2-1 to Fulham.
