Earlier today while listening to Talk Sport, I heard George's wife Daphne speak on behalf of George about the passing of the Queen.
Wonderful words from Daphne but she mentioned that George is not well.
I know he has had long standing health issues and I do hope so very much that the club are aware and helping in whatever way they can.
Totally agree

Hear,Hear
Good luck George.
Best wishes to George, our own hero.
Best wishes George.
A real Fulham hero who is quiet and does not seek publicity in spite of that huge 1966 success with England.
Best wishes indeed.
Top Fulham legend, wish you well George.
Thinking of you George. I had the pleasure of meeting him and have a signed shirt. A great man
All thoughts and good wishes for your return to health George.
Spectator on the day he did his knee in ( v Liverpool?) but also lucky enough to have lunch with him at Craven Cottage on the day Bryan Ruiz made his debut.
Always been a hero of mine, never forget how proud I felt when George made the World Cup final team.
Good luck George and Daphne we are all thinking of you.

Hello Sir, Was it not in that game that while George was being attended to for the injury, a Liverpool fan ran on the pitch and attacked Les Barrett?
Get Well Soon Fulham Legend. 049:gif
George Cohen my boyhood hero, please get well soon
George Cohen. Lovely modest man - great player
Great player for the Club that injury prematurely ended. After Retirement not held in the same Esteem regarding FFC existence at CC.

George was in that first Fulham team that I watched regularly and began to support.
Can still see him in my mind's eye in that right back position, such a stylish player, one of a new breed of footballing full-backs, who could pass the ball, and attack up the wing, not just boot the ball up field, and recognised by Alf Ramsey as the sort of player he wanted for England - he didn't want any Prima -Donnas, just top team players, who would all contribute equally.
George came from a different era, of modest men, the types who would stand for ages signing the kids', of whom I was one, autographs: no airs and graces, but who certainly never received the fame or fortune that players get today. England's first, and still, only, World Cup winners who were hardly recognised by their country, and their clubs, it seems.
Even the great Bobby Moore ended his life in some penury, selling shirts out of the back of a van, and was once forced to pay admission to West Ham, the club he served so well, the story goes.
At least George has been recognised by Fulham and still has a role there and is now appreciated for his great contribution to the club and the game.
All the best George, hope your health improves.
I wish you good health George Cohen, a real genuine Fulham Legend in the true meaning of the word.
Great player for England and of course Fulham. But also a fantastic club ambassador. Wishing you all the best for a full recovery George.
Best wishes George and get well soon.
Get well soon George. As a teenager in men's local football, I switched to right back one game (thinking just try to do what George does). After the game, the team manager said he would not let me play any other position. After that, whenever I watched Fulham, I paid attention to George and his positioning.
He was a great player and never really replaced at Fulham.
Get well soon George... wishing him the very best.... absolute Gentleman x
Ambassador not so sure after his retirement.Got involved in trying to demolish CC thankfully we are still here and what could've been Plough Lane.

This isn't true, he never wanted to demolish Craven Cottage.
He also coached Fulham's youth team after he retired for a period of time, and hosted a lounge at Fulham for decades.
Worked with Ernie Clay and was looking for a alternative home for FFC which would've seen CC demolished. I'm pretty sure the favoured location at that time was a ground share at Plough Lane the then home of Wimbledon FC.Many years ago thankfully we are still at our unique and fantastic football ground.
It wasn't quite as you say Aj and there is no point in repeating it if nobody replies to you. I suggest you check out the history books before posting inappropriately. Lots of people worked wit Clay and they didn't all agree with him
George was vice captain in Englands 1966 team. Good luck George

The fact is, he's dedicated most of his life to the club. He was born around the corner and played for the club his entire career and captained the club for many years- despite big clubs wanting his signature he stayed. He was director of youth at Fulham when he retired and brought players like Les Strong through the club. He then returned and hosted a lounge at Fulham for decades.
It's also a fact that Fulham were in financial trouble at the time you're referring and people were looking for solutions, luckily MAF ended up coming along years later. Bottom line is he did nothing wrong and is Fulham through thick and thin

Thank you for this post.
George had a great career and was a fantastic player for Fulham in that there is no doubt.
Like some others George was in the 1st Fulham team I supported and is an Icon of the game given his winning of the World Cup in 1966. I was in the Johnny Haynes stand when George did his knee, trying to keep up with Peter Thompson of Liverpool. He tried to make comebacks but in those days they did not have the medical expertise of today. I have sat just along the row in the Riverside next to George and he is a real Gentleman.
I think George could be best described has a realist.
