Shame we can't get a few kids into the squad. This game is a bust, keep-the-score down kind of thing. Raul, Broja, Ream and Tete really didn't need bench spots today.
Fulham usually "step up" their game against top teams.
Hopefully they can hang tight and pull a surprise against City. It will be really tough but Fulham when they are at their best, can beat anyone.
Come on Fulham, come on!
Shame... Thought we started really well.
didn't exactly cover ourselves in glory there. Oh well, the 11mins of hope was fun
Well so much for that. It's gonna be a long day for Fulham ::cry::
Oh no
What a horrible last home game for the season to have, time for a ::wine:: i think
We must hold our own for 20 mins do not concede further and do not chase the game.
If it goes pear shaped Silva had better bring on Toure earlier and cease being predictable, we cannot go through the middle, we have to use the wings.
He needs to be proactive not reactive.
As long as we give them a game.
We've played fairly well other than one beautifully worked goal.
Marco gone with the same tactics that we used against Arsenal with BDR as RWB.
38 minutes and not even a single shot attempt for Fulham.
Can't score if you don't ever shoot, Jeeze.
With City's high press, id stick the quickest players on the wing and up front and hoof it over the top
commentator thinks we've signed a new striker, Ricardo Muniz
Cant fault Muniz tbh, he's getting less than scraps right now but still fighting for every ball
Quote from: Nero on May 11, 2024, 01:10:29 PMWith City's high press, id stick the quickest players on the wing and up front and hoof it over the top
I am not sure that we have a quality hoofer. Ream maybe?
I would bring Traore on for BDR at half time
Every one of the City players knows how to protect the ball and they never look hurried by defenders. We, on the other hand, always look under pressure and hurried.
Still 0-1 is not a disaster. Yet!
Its in games like this against teams who have us under big pressure that Robinsons poor distribution makes it so much harder.
Decent half. I'd too bring on Traore for BDR and go for it. Maybe we'll fall apart defensively and lose convincingly or maybe we'll manage to get something from the game. We have nothing to lose so why not try and get something here?
Despite being down 0-1, Fulham have played well.
Manchester City are such a superior team, perhaps the best in the world right now. They are on a mission to win the league and the FA cup. Don't see anyone stopping them.
I hope Fulham can hold off Crystal Palace from jumping them in the standings. They seem ready to just end the season and go on summer break.
We have almost successfully denied them too many chances despite the pressure but we really have to hit the ball down the channels in the 2nd half. But we need to get Wilson & Traore on before the 70 min or its just coming straight back.
If we want to go for it. Adama for BDR at minimum and Broja for Muniz at the half. Just put our quickest players up front and try to play them behind.
TC and Traore on
We keep making poor passes to players already under pressure. It looks as though no-one feels confident on the ball so offloads it as soon as they can.
i can see one player who looks supremely confident on the ball and hes not wearing a blue shirt. the pace of the game is so slow re stoppages.
great move. should have been a goal
Best chnce we've had.
The flick by Muniz did not count as a shot attempt?
Ffs
Damn
That's really unlucky, that was a great tackle by Palhinha
::cry::
robinson committed and timed it wrong leading up to a free run on goal despit palhinhas risky challenge
Deja vue. We win 3-2
Damn City. They are just too strong, too many world class players.
They really should have won the Champions League.

Robinson is definitely the main culprit there imo.
The whole Fulham team admiring Paulhina's tackle, Foden in acres
Bassey is having a mare. Trying too hard?
Muniz battled hard and played well but does seem a bit tired. Hopefully Broja is up for it as well.
Oh well
Wasn't Akanji offside there? He made an attempt to play the ball?
Edit: nevermind, Traore keeps him on
How many charges oùtstanding for City? Over 100 isnt it? And yet the authorities sit on their hands.
Let's just try and score a goal.
Its last home game of the season, give us something to cheer.
The heads have gone, got to play for pride now.
Robinson has been very poor today. Bassey very poor by his standards. With two of our back 4 having poor games, this was bound to happen. Shame...
I know there the best but we are awful

Its because there are so many that it is taking so long. They need to collect evidence for them all. I don't know why they can't just take them one at a time.
Expecting a clean out this summer
Quote from: Texas White on May 11, 2024, 02:08:27 PMI know there the best but we are awful
the main difference is in the basic skill of taking a pass in their stride. They can and we can't! They also seem able to keep close control under pressure.
I think Willian should have stayed on. Was our most secure player on the ball and looked decent in other aspects of the game as well.

That's what happens when you have a team worth a billion
It's effective football, but not too interesting to watch. Unless you support City!
No shame in losing 0-3 (if we can see out time) to this lot it highlights several issues if we are to move forward next season.
Predictable! AAnd no Diop next two games?
Penalty and Diop off

Big if
Silly from Diop! Thought he was our best defender today otherwise.
Let's be honest, we were never going to play the spoiler. The score line was expected.
1 shot in 90 mins though. At home.

..against the strongest Premier League team of all time...
we have been abysmal since the international break and Marco doesn't seem to have any answers even with a fully fit squad to choose from.
I know we tried to play out from the back but we rarely beat their press. In this game I'd rather we had played it out long and quickly. I know it would have come back but they would have had to run as far as we did!

Not doubting that but we're better than that.

clearly not.
Hammering Spurs and beating Arsenal at home suggests we are. The players have really disappointed the last couple of months. Like we got safe so now seasons over.
Quote from: SerbianLad on May 11, 2024, 02:26:49 PMSilly from Diop!
Silly, but not surprising. I like Issa, but he makes a lot of dumb mistakes. 8 PK's conceded and 3 errors leading to goals in ~11500 PL minutes. For the sake of comparison, Tosin has one of each in ~6700 PL minutes.
Only one win for Fulham in their last eight games.
Crystal Palace have jumped ahead in the standings.
I still think Fulham are better than Bournemouth, who are in 10 place.
