No Tete whatsoever. The poor guy makes about one or two mistakes a season, but it's clearly pretty costly to do that when you're hardly playing and you make them in your one chance.

Aside from that, the team looks like one that has won home games comfortably this season, so we should (at the very least) be very competitive today.

Two strikers but only one defender on the bench, Marco can't be accused of not going for it.

Fulham have been in poor form the last two games, especially the defense giving up 6 goals. The boys need to step up their game today. A draw would be a great achievement. A win would be sensational. Hope they can at least hold their own against the Magpies.

TV commentators mentioned that Fulham have been much stronger from the left side (Willian and Robinson). It's been like this all season. A lot of this has come from the attacking style of Jedi Robinson. It would be great to get a score before half time.

But a bit unlucky there just now, just crowded out... Come.on Muniz get that goal

So much on top it's ridiculous that I'm getting worried! Krafth does nothing but fouling. If we go in at half time not leading by at least one goal I'll need to get the pills out.

It would be a travesty if Fulham don't get a result from this game. They have been so dominate, although Newcastle had some dangerous chances. I have a feeling Newcastle will be stronger in the second half.

Come on Fulham!

They have gone low block after the first 20 mins and yet again we can't break it down. Their keeper going down stuffed us as Howe changed it. How we didn't score first 20 mins I'll never know. Sick with frustration as we were brilliant first half of that half.

how many more chances does muniz need? i hope we carry on creating for him, one is sure to go in eventually, but as others have said newcastle will come into this.  maybe a bit more movement in the middle to help combine with the left side triangle instead of it resulting in a cross.

I of course have sympathy for Willock as a person, but no sympathy for Newcastle and their injury problems whatsoever. Disgusting cheats. Dubravka faked an injury two times and it killed off our momentum both times. Especially the first time when it was obvious it was a ploy to get a mini "time-out".

On our performance, we were mostly excellent, the only thing we missed were goals. Those early subs in the last match seemingly gave a kick up everyone's a** they definitely needed. Everyone is playing with maximum effort.

Special mentions to Willian, who, for me, was by far the best player on the pitch.

Post by: jayffc on April 06, 2024, 04:00:46 PM
We have played some absolutely beautiful football in this game, and under Silva generally.

Gutting to not be ahead. Goalkeeper definately seemed like he was breaking up our momentum and giving them a chance for a team talk.

Muniz was centimetres away from a couple of superb touches coming off that would have put him through on goal with incredible skill, twice. He has such quality in him.

Newcastle unlikely to be that poor again second half so really hoping we can put them to the sword. Traore around 60minutes to really run at them is probably a good shout.

Listening to GJ commentary and it sounds as if we have had most of the game by far and are playing some very good footbal. However the bottom line is that we have failed to score.
Be prepared for Newcastle sneaking the winner in the second half.

In the last 9 games versus Newcastle, Fulham have:

0 wins
3 draws
6 losses

But historically, they have been almost even (31 wins and 33 losses).

A win today would be deserved.

Lukic seems an odd change, perhaps it's for Joao?

Maybe push Cairney up for Periera and Lukic alongside Palhinha

Guess well find out

Wilsons been poor for me,

Traore promising,
not our day today. Deserved a point but threw it away sadly.

Felt like Taking Cairney off was a bloody stupid move from Marco to be honest. Would have just brought Traore on first and left it at that. Yet another game we could have picked up points in down the drain.

Ah well, lower mid table it is and hope for a big summer ahead.
