Looks like the same crew. Very promising side but I cannot help feeling that if there was one game where Cairney should start then this is it.
COYW!!!
Oh dear! Baby pink shorts & socks!
Here we go then against Banana Skin United....
I hope not....
The big boss is here for an away game

Good to see.
Ugly unprofessional kits. Fulham look like they are wearing pajama's.
Hopefully they play better than what they look.
Need a bit more zip on the ball so far. They look organised at the mo. Need to play a bit quicker
Luton and Palace 1 up
Keep up the pressure boys.

As long as they don't go to sleep in them....
...It looks as if a beetroot was put in the wash with the kit ...
Sheffield United are really poor. We need to step up and take the 3 points
Is this ref going to give us anything today?!
Sheffield's number 11 would get an Olympic gold medal for diving.
Nearly every time he is challenged by a Fulham defender, he falls to the ground. How far will the ref allow simulation?
Quote from: Drewry66 on March 30, 2024, 03:31:52 PMIs this ref going to give us anything today?!
According to the commentary he hasn't put a foot wrong (?!)
God....its one thing watching your team losing most games, its another watching this football whilst losing every week. Sheffield really are one of, if not the worst team I've watched in the Prem.....
Muniz hit the post
Quote from: St Eve on March 30, 2024, 03:38:52 PMMuniz hit the post
Unlucky. Brilliant moves before that though.
The two week layoff has affected both teams.
I see NO quality from Sheffield. At this rate, a single goal from Fulham will get them 3 points.
So far so good but we are trying to walk the ball in.
Quote from: Grassy Noel on March 30, 2024, 02:05:07 PMLooks like the same crew. Very promising side but I cannot help feeling that if there was one game where Cairney should start then this is it.
silva just doesnt like him and couldnt wait to drop him when joao got suspended. shame cos i like watching him play more than anyone. the team can still perform without him so its no big loss when he doesnt play. just a shame for me.
That Willian touch... chef's kiss
they need to get out of second gear...
Fulham have nearly 73% possession. Sheffield seems content to just park the bus and get a 0=0 score.
Genuinely feel sorry for Sheffield United fans......Jesus this is painful.
Quote from: FFC1987 on March 30, 2024, 03:46:44 PMGenuinely feel sorry for Sheffield United fans......Jesus this is painful.
i was thinking the same. if I had to watch that every game... ::cry::
Got to raise it here. We really struggle against teams with a low block. They are packing the wide areas and Robinson hasn't managed to overlap once. Just way too slow when we come up against teams that sit deep. Defo a game for Cairney this. They look dangerous in the air and if we are not careful this could be the banana skin we have all feared. Got to raise it. Come on lads!!
Tough going this first half, SHU really clogging up the middle, difficult to get decent chances. FFC clearly the better team, gonna have to get creative to get that breakthrough. Maybe a chance from a set piece.
WHAT'S WITH THE UNIS???!!!??? YUCK! TERRIBLE!!!
Unless we make some absolutely horrific defensive mistake, I doubt we'll concede. Their only attack tactics seem to be to boot the ball as far as they can and hope their 2 attackers can outpace and outwit our 4 defenders. We need a bit more in attack, but I feel like we showed some nice moments already and it is tough to break down a team that's defending like this. If we score one, more will follow, I'm sure of it(unless we score an injury time winner (: ).

As I've said many times on here, too much possession is the kiss of death. It generally leads to too many bodies between forwards and the goal, restricting time to shoot. This has all the hallmarks of a smash and grab. Let's hope not. I'd like to see Wilson on soon.
No broja on the bench is interesting.
Wilson, Traore, TC on at 65 if needs be.
Wilson maybe on the left and Traore out wide right, TC for lukic to push more offensive
Gonna need some tika taka around the box to break em up which Harry and Tom do well
Quote from: jayffc on March 30, 2024, 03:57:05 PMNo broja on the bench is interesting.
He wasn't on the bench against Spurs either. I think Marco simply prefers Muniz and Raul.
Oh dear another 45 minutes without a Fulham goal and looking as if could continue this way for the 90 minutes.
Cairet and Wilson must be used on 60 minutes if we remain without a goal.
Muniz hit the post again

Well unlucky that header. I was up celebrating! Gutted
Great header by Muniz, tough break with woodwork. Lukic also great chance, but blocked. Keep pressing FFC!
Lukic missed a golden chance.
Sheffield would be a mid-table team in the Championship. They will be the first team relegated and will not return to the Premier League for a while.
We are trying to walk the ball into the net
Got to take one of these chances!!
OMG
nice giveaway
Look at us, ******* around with it at the back. Why the hell do we do that, ALL the time
What a joke
Tosin gave the ball away and gifted Sheffield an undeserved goal.
Fulham need to raise their urgency.

Unbelievable. Shocking from Tosin. We are stuffed now. Anything but giving them the first goal. So frustrating our total lack of consistency. Arrrrgggg!!!
Blimey, fulhamish or what. Awful goal to concede.
FFS what a to$$er Tosin!
Complete stupidity. We could have plaged for 10 more hours and they wouldn't have scored unless we made a silly mistake like that. Lukic and Iwobi should have shot it earlier in regards to their chances. They overcomplicated it.
wake-up call for Fulham on line one...
FFS,words fail me. What a **** up from Tosin. Hopefully we'll wake up now..as we all know possession means nothing if there's no end product...
Plenty of time still but jesus that's unprofessional.
How we can be losing is mind blowing. We need to wake up and win this

I'm sorry, but that's on Leno. He can see the whole field and makes a horrible pass into Tosin's feet where he can do nothing with it.
BOOM
Joao!
JOAO!!!
Yeeeeeeeees
Get in!!!!! Come on now lads
Tosin's 3rd wayward pass of the match. The first two, intended for Bassey, were over hit and lucky to find Jedi (one in each half).
Diop's detractors, of which I'm not one, say he has mistakes in him. No less than Tosin for my mind.
Tosin can still **** off though

He's a good player but he always has these in him and exactly why he won't be getting in any top 6 team.

Nah, he chose the central pass when the easy pass was to his right. That's on Tosin.
Now let's not make the same mistake again!
SU needs to keep covering corners like that...
On the plus side, any of the clubs wanting Tosin on a free will probably have been put off by today so chances of us keeping him are going up by the minute
That's a sensible substition from Marco, as Sheffield are sh*t and Andreas can play as an 8 against them.
I thought our defending was bad......What on earth were Sheffield doing from that corner.....
It's a mystery to me how Solanke is still at Bournemouth?
McBurnie for gods sake.
Well ffs
::angry::
wtf
They're still getting relegated :slap:
Are we on the beach already?
WTF are our defenders doing?
never a foul
Absolute shambles since we scored. Gifted them two goals. Joke
How have we conceded twice to this lot? Usually hate disrespecting teams but they've conceded 5+ on multiple occasions this season and we're managing to lose!
Sheffield are now playing with belief they can win.
Fulham lackadaisical defense is giving the game away.
Sheffield number 11 (Olympic diver) is their best player and running rings around the Fulham defense.
FFS

what in the ever lovin ....
This is so embarrassing!
Lord almighty this is peak Fulhamish
What a joke
Got too cocky and loose
Very fulhamish result
Castagne too far off Hamer.
That's a red for McBurnie certainly if anyone is gone
Robinson is not good at defending the back post.
What an embarrassment
All highly predictable having beaten Man U and Spurs.
I have been disappointed with Iwobi and Tosin today in particular. Would've preferred to see Wilson come on earlier for Iwobi when it was clear he was having a bad day.
We've outclassed them all game, and they have been more clinical. All it takes.
God it's frustrating watching this team.
Blimey, what an embarrassment.
Quote from: St. Andrews White on March 30, 2024, 04:27:58 PMLord almighty this is peak Fulhamish
Yes but the term is starting to irritate somewhat. WTF were we thinking fannying around so much in the first half? This is just embarrassing now. Beyond disappointing and can't see us turning this around now.
Really arrogant performance.
Tosin and Iwobi have been very poor.
Why do we lose against lower sides? I'm afraid that Marco's tactics are not right for that kind of game.
We're very much that "joke team" this year
embarrassing

We were all over them and our defence have had multiple brain farts. How's that the managers fault tactics wise?

we lack the quality to break down a low block
This is Rubbish, we had all the ball the first half and did nothing with it, now were making bloody Sheffield look like prime Barca ::angry:: ::angry::
I'd love to know what percentage of the goals we've conceded under Marco have been a direct result from overplaying at the back
Fulham play terrible against relegation teams (look how bad they did against Burnley). Not sure what it is but they play down to the level of competition.
What a hairy result compared to the last game against Tottenham.
Is this on the manager (poor preparation)? Or did the 2 week layoff really impact the club that much? Marco has to look in the mirror.
Willian done nada really... No wilson?
Quote from: LittleErn on March 30, 2024, 04:32:35 PMWhy do we lose against lower sides? I'm afraid that Marco's tactics are not right for that kind of game.
We just seem to lower ourselves to their poor standard and give them confidence as the game goes on...just shocking. Thought Cairney should have started to give us some composure in midfield.

Not the defensive errors I grant you, but the failure to score after so much pressure suggests that he doesn't set them up to unlock a packed defence.

I have been saying it on a number of threads I am sorry to say, but if a locksmith like Cairney had been employed at the start of this game in particular then the Blades would have been unpicked and the game would be over. Not every game but this game. Ah well.
Horrible, arrogant performance.
This is beyond a joke
Embarrassing
So inconsistent.
How many goals are we just going to gift them on a plate. Just a joke of a performance this second half. How the F can we go from spurs to this. I give up
Pathetic defending all day today. Both Tosin and Bassey have been poor. Castagne as well. Robinson was okay, but worse than he has been recently. Iwobi really poor today.
needing VAR to save us from further embarrassment is even more embarrassing
Offside, but my god Fulham wake up
There had better be 10 mins of injury time here.

What a difference a bit of urgency makes!
This game is up for grabs. Sheffield are in shock mode and hoping to survive with a draw after almost leading 4-1.
A point for Fulham are well deserved. 3 points would be harsh.
It's the urgency that's changed this around. For so many years being let down by Fulham in these games... I feel such a clown for giving up on a chance to come back from 3-1 down. Shame on me. Evidently, this Marco team is just built differently.
Come on Adama, do your thing!
Muniz has improved so much on his hold up play now, uses his body to great advantage
Someone is going to get red here. If there's time.
That was a journey.........
Fulham did not quit. They kept fighting for a well deserved point.
Ill take a point, didnt deserve the maximum after letting them back in like that, but at least the boys lifted and got something out of the game, which is pleasing, but if we had played like that the whole game we surely wouldve gotten maximum points.
Can't believe we didn't win that with the time we had left after scoring that third. A brilliant come back but my god what a frustrating afternoon. Absolutely chucked away two points. This and Burnley has cost us Europe. So ridiculously frustrating
Did well to come back but we should never have been in that position. There needs to be some harsh words from Marco.
Not bad seeing as we gifted them two goals , and at one stage thought we were 4-1 down.
Absolutely bonkers. Marco will be raging. Expect a reaction v Forest.
I'm fuming we didn't beat this lot.
I'm really disappointed we failed to score in the 1st half and were so sloppy to let them score again and again.
But somehow I'm reasonably satisfied with a point all things considered!
At 3-1 I'm happy with a point. But at 0-0, I'm not.

I'm not sorry to miss out on Europe. We're not ready as a club. There have been a lot of sides in the past whose seasons were destroyed by the demands of all the extra games and travelling.
Simply not good enough. I was with those who felt this was a game where we needed Cairney rather than lui if to unlock the low block. But I didn't foresee the defensive howlers and there's not much the manager can do about that.

To be fair I tend to agree. One more season I think and qualifying next year after another year of squad building is probably best. Still frigging fuming that we have dropped 7 points against the of the most shocking sides the prem has seen however and every place higher is a lot of money so may have cost us a lot come season end.
Just a note in the chaos to Muniz. Actually a fairly quiet game first half but really came into it second half. Hit the post twice with two brilliant efforts and my god what a finish. 8 in 8. Even when he is quiet he looks like he is liable to score which is a great trait to have. Just looks pure predator and absolutely loving it.
