COYW!!! ::scarf::
Early & Often!!
I forgot Cauley plays for Luton
I've been out of town for the last week or so. Where's Jedi?
Come on Fulham
Quote from: YankeeJim on September 16, 2023, 03:01:26 PMI've been out of town for the last week or so. Where's Jedi?
Injured on international duty
Castagne looking lively
ah, palhinha. glad he's back
Quote from: akf on September 16, 2023, 03:15:06 PMah, palhinha. glad he's back
He's playing a blinder !
Jimenez always seems to be one pace short of where he should be.
Time for our first goal
so close
Castagne looks decent getting forward ai far
Palhinha supreme no concerns about him while he's here
Jimi trying hard you can tell the team are trying to get him one today
Luton look awful
It's a matter of can we break them down and not do something stupid today
Iwobi is gonna run this lot ragged late on
Brighton 1 up at Manure
ho-hum tackle... ::wink::
would like the spirit of Brede to inspire Ream, he seems to be missing the penetrating pass.
Lucky not to be 1 down.
Hopefully that was a wake up call
Ream is consistantly missing great runs down the left from Castagne and others. Doesn't seem to have the measured ball in him today
80% possession and allowing shots at our end.......
"Fulhamish" about to happen.......?
Finding this parked bus hard to break through aren't we
God I hate being favourites
Every time tim! Pass to the bloody lb!
We've got zero goal threat. Maybe we should be playing Vini or Muniz instead.
probably fair to admit that this game the referee gods have chosen FFC to get the benefit of the decisions.
The only threat we seem to be having is through the set pieces

You just jinxed it... ::tongue::

West Ham beating City
Quote from: demeant0r on September 16, 2023, 03:37:20 PMWe've got zero goal threat. Maybe we should be playing Vini or Muniz instead.
I think the problem is further back
Were not creating anything for Jiminez
Castagne namely has made a number on great runs inside that could pick a lock but no ones spotting them
Never miss Jedi...until he's not on the pitch.

Castagne is doing fine he's just not getting the service his movement is begging for
Very poor Fulham....again!!
possession:
Fulham: 76.3%
Luton: 23.7%
Ream & Diop? 66%?
It's concerning that we're we struggling to score goals against Luton at home. Come on boys, kick it up notch!
Iwobi should inject some life into the squad.

Seems that the chemistry isnt there yet. Hopefully the halftime talk will expose those blind spots, encourage the ball out to the left a bit more.
Overall rather poor. Nothing created despite all the possession, and worryingly allowing them two clear cut chances past a sleeping back line
Way too slow in build up. Like watching parkerball today
Not switching flanks quick enough so no space.
Trying to play around 5 players down the right in traffic
Willian seems to have lost that little yard if spark so far.
We can't bring them out to get a yard of space so it's a tricky one really. Get 1 goal and I think we get a few but I'd like to see Iwobi get at them, Periera has been anonymous really so perhaps through the middle to link up with Jimi
70mins might be time to see if Muniz or Vini can summon up some magic
Not surprising that Luton will pick up their first points against us.
We couldn't score in a brothel at the moment.
Going to splash the cash in January but we're in grave danger.
No end product or dynamism whatsoever

Yup they'll watch that back on the tapes
I think there were like 5 opportunities to spot his run cutting that were all passed up
Infuriating to watch but theyll work it out if Robinson is out much longer hopefully
Apart from 2 mental switches from our defence we looked comfortable defensively. I appreciate that it's hard to score against what is basically a back 6 (or even a back 7), but we need to move the ball faster and try and be more direct. FBT for Castagne (to inject some pace and Castagne is on a yellow, thought Castagne did really well though), Iwobi for Wilson/Willian and Cairney for Reed needed early in the second half, if not straight from kick off.
Need a lift 2nd half, We knew Luton was always going to park the bus so we have to find a way to break them down. Maybe Iwobi brings a spark off the bench, we definitely need one!
At the moment is the fear they score first and really will just have enough not to concede against us. Sounds very dull and without anything approaching danger from us.
Silva clearly talking to the CBs telling them to move it quicker... Hopefully he's spotted what we have here
Kenny, wake up
Thankfully their attacking quality is no better than ours.
More of the same in the second half. They just strolled through us at the back.

They've had 2 good chances to score and we've had none. That's not comfortable.
It's obvious to me that Jaoa will score our first
Get Iwobi and Vini on! Need to switch things up
Good ball from Castagne
Man City level, only had 21 shots so far with 9 on target, wish we could manage 1.
Think Cairney if fit could solve this low block
We are failing to create enough chances to get a breakthrough because our build ups are so slow and predictable like walking football.
Willian seems a step slower this year
Bring on Iwobi and Traore
can someone take the tape off of slow-mo?
Willian and Periera been poor
Time for a change wanna see what Iwobi can do here
Quote from: St Eve on September 16, 2023, 04:15:10 PMBring on Iwobi and Traore
Wish we could but Traore is not on the bench as far as I know.
Quote from: St Eve on September 16, 2023, 04:15:10 PMBring on Iwobi and Traore
Traore not on the bench sadly as agree he'd be ideal too
Brighton 2 up
would really like to see Jimenez get a goal and some confidence
Quote from: akf on September 16, 2023, 04:20:25 PMwould really like to see Jimenez get a goal and some confidence
but will have to wait...
Id been on Bassey for Ream as well, think we're only going t score from a set piece
We're too easy to play against
Vinny, can't believe it. ::scarf::
VINI!!!
VINI!!!
get in!
but see if they call it back for hand ball
Bam!!!
Yeeeeeeees
VINNNIIIEEEEEE
Vini!
I feel sorry for Vini after being pretty good last year and not had any chance this season
Vini!!! He's always in the right place
Vini it is!
should be able to get a second now theyve got to come out
Quote from: akf on September 16, 2023, 04:20:25 PMwould really like to see Jimenez get a goal and some confidence
Sadly I can't see he has anywhere near the quality needed. I realise the fact that he hasn't had service, but he needs to make some chances for himself.
We have woken up now.
Hopefully that makes them hungry...
great subs! different complexion to the team right now
Pereira should've taken a shot, is he alright?
Alex in a very fluid role right now liking it
Quote from: demeant0r on September 16, 2023, 04:27:55 PMPereira should've taken a shot, is he alright?
seemed to have the ball stuck under his feet.
Goals change games.
vini making a strong case for starting up top next time around
Vinny is playing very well. Great energy
Quote from: akf on September 16, 2023, 04:33:01 PMvini making a strong case for starting up top next time around
He seems like a much better back-to-goal type player
Brighton 3 up
It's like Pereira and Willian have never played together before
Quote from: demeant0r on September 16, 2023, 04:35:51 PMIt's like Pereira and Willian have never played together before
might not be playing much longer today, either...
I'd feel a lot better with a second
Spurs losing to Sheffield Utd
In other news Godo has an asst to his name at Wigan. 2 up against Cambridge.
nice pass, nice set up, unfortunate shot!
Iwobi looking like a good purchase so far, though it's only been 30 mins
nice ball through by tete! poor finish
ohhhhh
Should've been 2 nil
Shoulda finished the game there
Come on Vini, first time hit
Quote from: btffc on September 16, 2023, 04:14:39 PMWillian seems a step slower this year
Maybe carrying an injury? Which would also explain his lack of game time this season?
Not that impressed with Castagne so far
::wine:: 3 points
finally...
Quote from: St Eve on September 16, 2023, 04:50:18 PMNot that impressed with Castagne so far
It's his first appearance in his non natural position, give him a break
Well
Well take it
Not every team will play that deep, but not looking the most potent
3 precious points.
Quote from: St Eve on September 16, 2023, 04:50:18 PMNot that impressed with Castagne so far
Weird, I think he did pretty well and made alot of runs that weren't spotted.
Happy with both him and Iwobi's contributions
Happy for Vini, a little worried for Jimi. We keep it moving
A wins a win! ::scarf::

Agree, I thought he actually looked good.
Just about had the quality to see it over the line. My blood pressure can now drop back down to healthy levels. Iwobi did well for the most part but he makes me a bit nervous.
