From Sky:

Silva explains Andersen, Pereira injuries
Fulham manager Marco Silva:
"Joa [Andersen] and Andreas [Pereira] have been so important for us. Joa is going to be out for longer, Andreas is going to come back stronger.
"Bit when other players are out, it's a chance for other players to step in. That's the case for Issa Diop, he's been so important in our group, whether that be starting or not starting."

Well obviously points would be a bonus but it has to be an all round much better performance today. If we only manage a twenty minute cameo appearance I can see us getting into difficulties throughout December what with Southampton getting high praise for nearly getting in right against Brighton.

I think Diop needs to bulk up a bit. He often times gets manhandles by much smaller opponents. He also loses concentration during dangerous situations and gives up easy passes. But he is good in the air on corner kicks.

If you have a VPN - you can set it to Australia and for 10 quid a month on Optus Sport you can get every PL game (also FA Cup, Pokal and European qualifiers) live and on demand, highlights etc.

The first 20 minutes is important to not concede.
We must take the sting out of the game, and settle down and relax.
The longer it is 0 0 the more confidence will emerge from the players.

We really need a striker.  Surely there's someone in the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 or Eredivisie knocking about?

On the plus side, I'm enjoying Sasa's corners.  Seem to be causing problems with nearly every one thus far

in basketball there is a difference between a defender moving in the way if an attacker vs a defender being set and the attacker charging into him.  that was a charge.

As per usual played some brilliant stuff and got in some brilliant positions but final shot or pass just not resulting in a goal. Frigging ridiculous save from Forster from Iwobi s shot after a brilliant move. We look very dangerous on the break. Surely a game for Adama second half.

Happy with that performance. Two,three completely self-inflicted chances for Spurs and a free-kick after the dive were Spurs' chances. We defended well and attacked really well too. Tete my MOTM so far, Raul should have done better in a few situations. Surprised it was Lukic who took over corner duties, but thought he put in a few decent balls as well.

Really disappointed to not be ahead in this game through first half.  I'm sorry, but if Jimenez is a "striker", then he has got to convert "striker chances".  Had several excellent chances.  Too bad on Iwobi's strike, hitting the crossbar.  Both teams a bit sloppy, certainly Spurs have given us some good chances.

We should be winning. Spurs will come out with more energy and I hope we don't regret missed chances. We are a decent striker away from being a very handy side.

Smith Rowe and Nelson not participating all that much, I'd bring Traore in to start second half.

FFC has had their chances, hope it doesn't come back to haunt.

0.94 XG to their 0.33 and most of theirs was us trying to gift them a goal with a stray pass. 18 touches on their box to their 8. Loads of corners as well. We've played really well and have been the better team but story of our season I'm afraid.  Have to start putting away more chances.

Yes, we look the better team so far, at least having the better chances.  But putting away those chances is absolutely the shortfall.  Jimenez has to convert those close in great opportunities.

Seems to be minimal contact to me. He caught him with his arm after sliding in  more so than he did with his feet. I'll look at it again after the game, but it didn't look that serious to me 🤷♂️

Quote from: FFC1987 on December 01, 2024, 02:53:16 PMJust seen 3 replays.....its a second yellow all day long. Slides in, doesn;t touch ball, takes out Son. I'd be interested in how that's not a yellow?
Seems to be minimal contact to me. He caught him with his arm after sliding in  more so than he did with his feet. I'll look at it again after the game, but it didn't look that serious to me 🤷♂️

You're correct in that its not serious, but if you dive in, on a yellow, and don't get the ball when the balls in transition is a final third area, its usually a yellow.

Not to worry! Where's Perry, Cairneys scored!

Why are Spurs players always diving? When there's no foul they dive, when there's minimal contact they oversell it. Embarassing...

Muniz, lets see. Loved Skysports describing Smith Rowe as a 'draft excluder' from that freekick

Don't think that's a red.

Looks accidental more than anything.

Appears to be worse than it actually is - no force, Cairney just kind of had his leg stuck there

I would want that to be a red if it was against us.

Cairney is off balance and trying to make a cynical foul and is very reckless. Could have really injured someone.

Joke. Ref is looking right at it and gives a yellow. Absolute farce.

Spurs players should be embarassed of themselves. Their diving today has been ridiculous. Yes, TC shouldn't have done that, but the contact wasn't that hard. Not a red for me. Yellow was the right decision.

Its a tough one....I don't actually know what Cairney was attempting.....You can;t rake the studs down the back of people though but its a strange one as teh contact was there but then he slips.....ugh. Karma for Lukic though I guess.

There's no force, it's a stupid tackle and the ref is 5 yards away from it. Personally I think it's a ridiculous decision, but if an opponent did that to one of our players I'd be calling for a red card as well.

Personally, I would put Adama on now, you can't sit back on this game, you're inviting trouble. But what do I know

Yeh, its a real shame as Muniz makes a terrible run based on Wilsons movement......tries to drag behind and wait but the angle was never on....he has to press the middle and gamble on that ball dropping where it eventually goes. Shame as that was amazing from Wilson.

Frustrating again, when he had his scoring streak last year a few of them were basically tap ins from those areas. Wonder why he hasn't learned.

Yes, it was the obvious run to make as well. I mean you play with him everyday int training, everyone knows he only has a left foot, it's the only pass he could make. Silly not to gamble

Exactly this. He makes the wrong run every time at the mo. That could only go where Wilson put it and if he attacks it we win. In his streak it was the opposite...right run every time. Shame cos his hold up was excellent when he came on.

Alas we seem to have a few players who continue to mess up in the same areas or haven't got better with some tactical basics. However had we played like this last week no way would that game finished as a home drubbing.

Surely Harry starts the next game after that great 30mins plus off the bench...

Really really need a striker. Jimenez had several very good chances but fluffed them all.
