PL club establish their interest in £78k-a-week United ace whom Reds are willing to offload
Almost one year after West Ham United failed in their attempts to sign the midfielder, Fulham are now hoping to hash out a deal for Scott McTominay, as per GiveMeSport.

Indeed, the Cottagers have established their interest in Manchester United's homegrown talent as Marco Silva, who recently came under consideration for the managerial role at Old Trafford, looks to bolster his options in the middle of the park.

United are open to sanctioning McTominay's exit in hopes of increasing INEOS' transfer funds for the window ahead. As he's a graduate of their academy, any fee the Reds recuperate will go down as a straight profit, therefore helping them to balance the books in compliance with the Profit and Sustainability regulations.

McTominay has been at United since the age of five
Erik ten Hag would likely prefer to keep one of his most trusted lieutenants, especially after the Scotsman provided 10 crucial goals for his boyhood club last season. However, there's an acceptance that the board must be ruthless with outgoings in the coming months if the manager wants to see his squad reinforced adequately.

McTominay, 27, is not a mainstay in the starting 11 and now ranks behind Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo. When Mason Mount is fit, he, too, could pip his counterpart to a starting role.

Exclusive: Fulham 'Exploring' Summer Deal for £40m Man Utd Star

Fulham have begun looking into a potential deal for Scott McTominay after boss Marco Silva has turned his attentions towards bolstering his midfield.
The Cottagers have been boosted in their pursuit as Manchester United are open to selling the Scotland international if their demands are met.
Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips has also been earmarked as a possible acquisition as Fulham continue assessing their options in the transfer market.

Fulham have upped the ante in their pursuit of Scott McTominay after boss Marco Silva has pinpointed the Manchester United star as a potential summer recruit as reinforcements are sought at Craven Cottage ahead of the fast-approaching new Premier League campaign, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

The Cottagers suffered a significant blow when Tosin Adarabioyo rubber-stamped his exit last month, thanks to sealing a move to west London neighbours Chelsea after snubbing several contract offers which were put on the table by vice-chairman and sporting director Tony Khan, but there is likely to be further activity ahead of the August 30 transfer deadline.

Portuguese tactician Silva, who has led Fulham to the Championship title as well as 65 wins over the course of 140 matches since his appointment in 2021, has been scouring the market for possible acquisitions as he aims to build on another season which saw his side steer clear of a relegation dogfight.

Cottagers Looking at Move for McTominay
Manchester United willing to sanction sale if demands are met
Fulham have started exploring whether a deal for McTominay would be possible in the coming weeks after Silva has turned his attentions towards bolstering his options in the middle of the park, according to GMS sources, but their interest comes after one of their London rivals failed to reach an agreement 12 months ago.

Manchester United were open to cashing in on the central midfielder if a £40million bid was lodged by West Ham United when they went in search of a replacement for Declan Rice, but a switch to the capital failed to materialise and he ended up remaining with his boyhood club for the 2023/24 campaign.

In a significant boost for Fulham, GMS sources have been informed that the Red Devils would still be willing to sell McTominay at the right price as they aim to fund an overhaul of their squad, but it has been made clear that a cut-price deal is not on the cards as Silva seeks competition for the likes of captain Tom Cairney.

          Scott McTominay     Tom Cairney

Although Manchester United are not interested in selling the Scotland international on the cheap, they do not find themselves in a strong negotiating position heading into the remainder of the summer transfer window as he has entered the final 12 months of his £60,000-per-week contract at Old Trafford.

GMS sources have been told that Fulham are still mulling over what price they are prepared to pay for McTominay, who has been described as 'perfect' by Red Devils teammate Diogo Dalot, but he is understood to be one of a number of options being looked at by Silva and the hierarchy.

Phillips Pinpointed as Additional Midfield Target
Silva assessing options amid Palhinha uncertainty
GMS sources have been told that Fulham are also assessing whether to make a move for Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips while there is ongoing uncertainty over whether Joao Palhinha will be among Silva's options by the time the Premier League campaign gets underway with a trip to Manchester United on August 16.

Having endured a torrid loan spell with West Ham during the second half of the 2023/24 season, where he was limited to just 320 minutes of action and three starts, the former Leeds United man missed out on a place in England's squad for Euro 2024 and has found himself at a crossroads in his career.

It appears that Phillips has no future with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, who he joined in a £45million switch two years ago, and that has resulted in Fulham identifying the current transfer window as a potential opportunity to pounce and offer a route out of the Etihad Stadium.

GMS sources recently revealed that a move for the 28-year-old could be feasible as he is likely to be thinking about his next destination and more open-minded than other potential Craven Cottage arrivals as he is aware that he needs regular action if he wants to return to the international set-up.

Crystal Palace 'looking into' deal for Leeds United, Fulham and West Ham-linked defender
Crystal Palace are reportedly looking into the possibility of signing Leeds United-linked defender Ryan Sessegnon.

The 24-year-old is among the many players to have recently joined the free agent market, having left Tottenham Hotspur after five years. He was once considered among England's most exciting prospects, but Tottenham failed to unlock his potential after prising him from Fulham.

He has been linked with a return to Craven Cottage, while Leeds are also said to have checked on the former England youth international. West Ham United have reportedly enquired and according to reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon page, Palace are also keen.

A left-back by trade, Sessegnon can also operate as a wide midfielder or even as an out-and-out winger. He made 57 appearances for Tottenham, registering three goals and four assists.

Leeds have relied on Junior Firpo at left-back, although do not have a natural replacement for the Dominican Republic international if he is unavailable. Sam Byram has been deployed there but is more comfortable on the right side.

Jamie Shackleton can fill in at left-back, although there has been no confirmation he has signed a new contract at Elland Road. In fact, reports have suggested he is Sheffield United-bound.

Whites stalwart Liam Cooper is left-footed and has played at full-back before, although is also a player with question marks surrounding his future.

Man United ready to sell Scott McTominay as Premier League club shows interest
Manchester United are willing let Scott McTominay leave the club this summer if their demands are met.

According to GiveMeSport, the Red Devils midfielder is attracting interest from Fulham, who have decide to strengthen their centre midfield position.

Fulham boss Marco Silva wants a new midfielder this summer and he has identified the Scottish midfielder as his target.

The report has also mentioned Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips as one of the targets being eyed by Fulham as they consider their options in the market.

The Red Devils were considering selling McTominay to West Ham United last summer when the Hammers were looking for a Declan Rice replacement in the market.

However, the east Londoners fell short of Man United's asking price of £40million and McTominay remained at Old Trafford.

The midfielder spent most of the season on the bench as he was used mostly as a substitute by manager Erik ten Hag.

The situation will remain the same for McTominay at Man United as the Red Devils are expected to add more midfielders to the squad this summer which will take the Scotland international further down the pecking order.

The Red Devils will have to make a decision on the future of the midfielder soon as he has entered the final year of his contract at the club.

Move away from Man United will suit McTominay
If he is not sold this summer, he could leave the club as a free agent next summer, which would be a financial disaster for the Premier League giants.

McTominay can add physical presence, ability to make runs and goal scoring talent to the Fulham midfield, which their other target Phillips cannot add.

The Cottagers should move ahead with their interest and seal the signing of the versatile midfielder.

The move will suit the player as well as he will get regular playing time at Craven Cottage.

Pioli now favourite for Al-Ittihad job worth 15m per year
Former Milan coach Stefano Pioli and current Fulham boss Marco Silva are reportedly on the short-list to take over at Al-Ittihad, earning £15m per year.

The Italian is currently a free agent, having terminated his contract with the Rossoneri by mutual consent following a stay of almost five years in which he won the Scudetto.

According to Sky Sports UK, Pioli and Silva are the last two names on the short-list for Al-Ittihad.

Al-Ittihad want Pioli
The Saudi Pro League side fired Marcelo Gallardo after he got into a row with star striker Karim Benzema.

Pioli had already been mentioned by transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano as one of the candidates, but now seems to have made it to the final two.

His main contender is Marco Silva, who joined Fulham in 2021 and is under contract until June 2026.

That situation could ultimately benefit the ex-Milan boss, who has to be the favourite for the position said to be worth a salary of £15m per year.

Fulham player's agent says transfer talks stalled – Director change an issue
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola today shares an update on the situation of Fulham striker Carlos Vinícius.

The 29-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is now back to the Whites, but could be involved in a new move very soon.

The story starts with the recent rumours that Atlético Mineiro are interested in signing Carlos Vinícius from Fulham. Nicola got in touch with the player's agent Flavio Ribeiro, who claimed that the Belo Horizonte side gave up on the signing since they changed leadership.

"We even opened negotiations with Atlético. But after Rodrigo Caetano left for the national team, there was no further contact," Flavio Ribeiro told Jorge Nicola.

Nicola then adds that Carlos Vinícius is currently more likely to sign for Grêmio or Palmeiras, with the clubs being the 'most interested' in the signing.

The striker's contract with Fulham runs until 2025, with an option for an extra year, and it's unclear if he'd have any chance to be in Marco Silva's squad for the coming season.

Carlos Vinícius is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €4m, and it'd be no surprise to see Brazilian sides trying to sign him on a loan with an option to buy.

Al-Ittihad 'add' Fulham boss Marco Silva to head coach shortlist
Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad have reportedly included Fulham boss Marco Silva on their managerial shortlist.

Al-Ittihad are currently without a permanent head coach following Marcelo Gallardo's departure at the end of last season.

Gallardo spent just over six months in the role after replacing current Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo in November 2023.

The Saudi Arabian club finished in a disappointing fifth place in their title defence despite having the likes of N'Golo Kante, Fabinho and Karim Benzema in their squad.

Al-Ittihad considering Silva in managerial search
According to Sky Sports News, Al-Ittihad have placed Silva on their managerial shortlist alongside former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli.

The report suggests that Al-Ittihad are willing to offer Silva a €18m (£15.27m) a year deal to make the switch to the Saudi Pro League.

The 46-year-old, who had offers from Saudi Arabian clubs last summer, is currently under contract until June 2026 after signing an extension in October.

Having spent the last years at Craven Cottage, it remains to be seen whether Silva would consider leaving the Premier League for a fresh challenge in Saudi Arabia.

Could Al-Ittihad turn to Pioli?
Even if Al-Ittihad make an official approach for Silva, they would have to agree a compensation package with Fulham to appoint the Portuguese as their new manager.

In contrast to Silva, Pioli is currently unattached and would only need to agree personal terms to become Gallardo's successor.

The 58-year-old is searching for his next job after leaving Italian giants AC Milan at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Pioli took over the reins at the San Siro in 2019, before he went on to lead the Rossoneri to the Serie A title in 2021-22.

After managing the likes of Lazio, Inter Milan, Fiorentina and AC Milan, Pioli could be presented with the chance to coach outside of Italy for the first time in his managerial career.

Fulham eager to seal summer deal for Scott McTominay with Man United open to selling him
Fulham are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Despite the club's struggles in the 2023/24 season, McTominay enjoyed the most productive campaign of his United career as he plundered an impressive 10 goals.

Since he broke into the team under Jose Mourinho, McTominay has primarily been a utility player but every manager who has come after the Portuguese coach has found the Scotland international useful. For large parts of last term, Erik ten Hag deployed him in an advanced position in the middle of the park, where he was free to make late runs into the box in search of goalscoring opportunities.

Last year, West Ham tabled a bid for McTominay, which United accepted. However, a switch to the Hammers never got over the line and he ended up staying at Old Trafford instead.

According to GIVEMESPORT, the Carrington academy graduate is attracting interest from the Premier League once again, this time from Marco Silva's Fulham.

The news outlet states, "Fulham have upped the ante in their pursuit of Scott McTominay after boss Marco Silva has pinpointed the Manchester United star as a potential summer recruit as reinforcements are sought at Craven Cottage ahead of the fast-approaching new Premier League campaign, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed."

"Fulham have started exploring whether a deal for McTominay would be possible in the coming weeks after Silva has turned his attentions towards bolstering his options in the middle of the park, according to GMS sources, but their interest comes after one of their London rivals failed to reach an agreement 12 months ago."

"In a significant boost for Fulham, GMS sources have been informed that the Red Devils would still be willing to sell McTominay at the right price as they aim to fund an overhaul of their squad, but it has been made clear that a cut-price deal is not on the cards as Silva seeks competition for the likes of captain Tom Cairney."

GMS add that Fulham are "still mulling" over the amount of money they're prepared to fork out to land the United star.

United are in a strong negotiating position because the club retain the option of triggering a 12-month extension clause on his contract even as he enters the final year of his terms.

McTominay is not the only alternative under consideration by Fulham.

Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips is also of interest to the Cottagers.

Former player backs Tottenham to sign this Premier League star who can fill the 'void' in the team

Alan Hutton backs Tottenham Hotspur to sign Fulham star Andreas Pereira
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham Hotspur News, ex-Spurs star Alan Hutton has backed Tottenham Hotspur to sign Fulham star Andreas Pereira to fill the void in the number 10 role at the club.

Now, before someone jumps the gun, Hutton did acknowledge the presence of James Maddison in the squad but pointed out the fact that the club were forced to deploy Dejan Kulusevski in that role when the former was injured for a significant chunk of the season.

Pereira has really made a name for himself playing for Fulham in recent season. Once upon a time on Manchester United's books, not many would have envisioned the talented playmaker to have a career like the one he is having.

The 28-year-old Brazilian is currently entering the prime years of his career and his football has been knocking down the doors of top clubs for quite some time now. Last season, he made 44 appearances for Fulham, scoring three goals and providing nine assists.

Whilst the numbers in itself might not be the most eye-catching there is, we must remember that these numbers are bound to improve when Pereira plays in a team that creates more chances like Tottenham.

Speaking about the playmaker and his role at Tottenham, here is what Alan Hutton had to say in an interesting observation

"I think Periera is a very good footballer. He had a really good season and him coming in would give you something a little bit different within there. You'd think there would be movement with the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, could he be leaving? Pape Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma, it was all kind of changing towards the end of the season so maybe he's just searching for something different. Maybe he could be that guy and he would be another experienced footballer coming into the ranks. I just feel that it is probably for further forward the pitch. I know they've got options but you saw when Maddison was out they struggled to get somebody to fill that void and of course, the other one will be the number nine situation and what they're going to do with that."

James Maddison move to Tottenham from Leicester City last summer and made a roaring start to the campaign. However, injuries meant he had to miss out on a few months of action and he struggled to make a similar impact upon his return.

Now that he is rested and ready for the new campaign, along with the hurt of being left out of England's Euros 2024 squad, Maddison will be keen to prove a point and make sure he recaptures the form he showed early last season.

Fulham mull McTominay move
Fulham are mulling an audacious summer move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to various reports this morning.

United are open to selling the Scottish international as he enters the final twelve months of his current Old Trafford contract – but have made clear to Fulham that a cut-price deal will not be considered. Fulham head coach Marco Silva is looking to bolster his midfield options with players who have experience of continental football, but McTominay's current employers are said to value the 27 year-old at around £40m.

McTominay, who has made 252 first-team appearances over eight seasons in United's first-team set-up, has won 52 caps for his country – scoring nine goals at senior level – and was a key part of Steve Clarke's side that qualified for the last two European Championship finals.

Silva set to snub Al-Ittihad interest
Marco Silva is set to snub Saudi Arabian interest for a second successive summer and stay in charge of Fulham.

Sky Sports News revealed earlier this afternoon that Silva features on a two-man shortlist for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, who are looking for a new manager after the departure of Marcelo Gallardo. Reports from Italy suggest that the former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli, who is currently unattached, is the favourite to become Al-Ittihad's new boss.

Al-Ittihad's salary offer is thought to be around half as lucrative as the two approaches that Silva turned down from Saudi Pro League sides last summer. Silva is said to be preparing for a third successive top flight season at Craven Cottage, having extended his contract until June 2026 last October, and wants to build on the progress he has made since his arrival in south west London.
