Think this kid will be a first team player not a regular but a good squad player.
I see he was booked after 7 minutes and subbed at 57. Does anyone know how well he played?
Doesn't seem to be getting rave reviews. But he got a runout at least.
Should be able to make it into the Canadian team on a regular basis if he keeps developing.

His booking was a rash tackle.
He made a couple of decent tackles and didn't disgrace himself.
Canada actually looked the better team and repeatedly opened up Uruguay like a can opener on a tin of tuna ( really).
Canada's first goal was acrobatic and class, but their lack of finishing meant that instead of being up by 4 they let Uruguay back in it in extra time and ultimately lost on penalties.
Youth, energy but nerves ultimately let them down
Unusually Uruguay kept their usual diving and niggling to an acceptable level.
All in all a team without stars ( some definitely will be in the future) made the world champions look very ordinary and tired.
Canada and our luc got very valuable experience and it will bode them well for the future.
Was the best CB for Canada in its first WC friendly. Most are penciling him in as a starter for game 1.
His last season was a crazy learning experience, playing regularly for one of the worst teams ever in the Belgian top flight.
Hope we have a plan to integrate him next year as he can Play CB/RB/LB.

Personally a few highlights of what I saw of him I would be very surprised if he is ready for a premier league campaign next season let alone a squad member. Not sure a big club in championship would take him on loan next season but think he needs to be playing at least to that standard of football in his development. His only 20/21 plenty of time on his side. You have got to be exceptional at that age to be playing regular in premiership.

Yup, feel much the same. Hoping he has a good enough showing at the world cup and that puts him in the window for a loan move to a newly promoted club in prem or championship side fighting for promotion.
