Title: England aside
Post by: perry geyton on July 14, 2024, 07:02:33 PM
We currently have half a team
JP ~ gone
Tosin - gone
BDR - gone
Willian - very doubtful ££££
Ream - not sure on his current situation
Tom - getting less and less game time
Robinson - out for a while, post surgery
Boa - also gone, I know he's not a player but was an important part of the puzzle maybe ?

one month left to sign players and get em to gel

Last thing we need is a bad start, Marco's definitely got his work cut out

One month left to sign players? It's open until August 30th. Willian will sign. We had this nonsense last season too.

In 33 days time we are away to Man United. Appreciate some signings will come late in the window but ideally we need at least two or three before 16 August.

We have the same thing every year. Remember we have to attack Tony Khan first and then blame him and his dad and then complain about the fact that any rumours are great but actual signings are rubbish. Long time to go yet.

The difference this year is that we are three regular starters down with the departure of Tosin, Palhinha and BDR. So joking aside we could do with some early signings couldn't we ?

Don't Panic the Squad for the first game is ok.

Iwobi       Muniz    Wilson
         Periera Reed
             Lukic
Robinson Bassey Diop Castagne
            Leno

Subs: Benda, Tete, Ream, Cairney, Traoré, Jimenez

Enough to start the season, but need a little more talent for the season.

We're allowed 9 players in the subs bench. So probably add in Stansfield, Harris and Mbabu.

Have a word with the players/clubs who we are negotiating with, maybe that will help.

Let me know which players and clubs you are talking about and maybe I'll do just as you suggest.

Very sorry, you are absolutely correct, I withdraw this comment (not being sarcastic).

I don't think we need to panic at all. At it stands we are only replacing one starter (Joao).  Although of course we do need a replacement for Tosin.

Is Robinson injured? I don't see any mention of that anywhere...

The club does seem to be actively pursuing targets in the required positions, so let give it another week or two at least!

Robinson has had some kind of surgery but has said he will be ready for the start of the season, so not sure why he was in the list.

If he just did surgery what makes you
Think  he'll be ready come the beginning of the season ?
Nobody knows exactly including Robinson

Currently who's our replacement left back

Agreed. It is quite boring too. But I will add that when we make great signings there will also be no praise towards the club and that AM is tight with Mr Khans money.

I never attack the khans I've always been fully supportive of them and am super grateful that they own our team

I have full faith in them BUT losing JP is a big big one, we really need to get signings in and bedded sooner then later

Isn't that pretty much the same team that won at Old Trafford last season? Diop for Tosin and maybe Willian or Reid instead of Wilson

This team will struggle to gather points, but should collect a point per game, which is not ideal but is enough for the first half-dozen games. What this squad needs is not early signings but genuine long-term upgrades on players like Diop, Lukic, Reed, and Wilson which are hard to obtain for Fulham even with cash.

What a strange thing to pop up and post. I can only think of one poster who still regularly posts criticisms of the owners regarding their transfer dealings. The vast majority have been complementary about signings in recent seasons.

FWIW I agree that In an ideal world it would be great to see a couple of key signings in the next two weeks or so. I'm sure Marco would love to have them in for a bit of pre season planning, training and familiarisation. However as we all know it just isn't that easy to align the interests of selling clubs, transfer targets and their agents plus our own interests. Patience I'm afraid is the key word.
