Fulham aim for Andre
Fulham have revived their interest in Fluminense midfielder Andre after the departure of Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich, according to BBC Sport.
The Portuguese international's move to Germany has left Marco Silva in dire need of a replacement at the base of the engine room. The Whites were close to signing the Brazilian international last summer and have the fundamentals of a £25m in place following negotiations that were personally led by chief executive Alistair Mackintosh.
Andre, now 22, helped Fluminense lift the Copa Libertadores title last summer and has since been capped by new Brazil boss Dorival Junior. There are suggestions in the Brazilian press that the midfielder's representatives are poised to fly out to London to cross the is and dot the ts on the final agreement.

Exclusive: Fulham star George Wickens opens talks to join Lincoln City
Fulham goalkeeper George Wickens has opened talks to join Lincoln City, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has been given the green light by Fulham to leave the West London club and pursue opportunities elsewhere.
League One side Lincoln City have opened talks with Wickens and hope to lure him to the club and provide competition for current 'keepers Jamie Pardington and Sam Long.
The Cottagers are looking to offload Wickens as soon as possible and earn some cash to help improve their squad elsewhere.
Wickens is said to be open to the move having not yet made a senior appearance for his boyhood club.
Fulham set to let Wickens leave
Standing at 6ft 5in with a remarkable range of movement, Wickens has climbed up the youth ranks at Fulham but is yet to make an impact on the senior team.
He has enjoyed loan spells at National League outfit Wealdstone United and Scottish Premier League club Ross County, making 40 and 13 appearances for each club respectively.
Wickens has also featured for England at youth level, turning out for both the Under-16s and Under-18s.
After an impressive League One campaign in which Lincoln finished 7th, the Imps are looking to capitalise on a strong end to their season and improve their squad.

Lincoln City begin talks to sign Lukas Jensen replacement from Premier League club
Lincoln City have begun talks over a deal to sign Fulham goalkeeper George Wickens, as per a report from Football Insider.
Lincoln City boss Michael Skubala will be looking to build a side capable of going one further this season after narrowly missing out on the play-off spots last time around.
Former Leeds United coach Skubala led a fantastic charge up the League One table at Sincil Bank but the Imps fell just short.
The summer transfer window has been a busy one for the third-tier club with both incomings and outgoings aplenty. Now, links with a potential new number one have emerged.
Football Insider claims that Lincoln City have begun talks to sign goalkeeper George Wickens, who is currently on the books with Premier League side Fulham.
After successful loan spells with Wealdstone and Ross County, the 22-year-old has been given the green light to move on from Craven Cottage, it is said. That has piqued the Imps' interests and Wickens is open to the switch.
The Petersfield-born 'keeper has played extensively for the Cottagers' U18s and U21s but with no first-team chances to date, he has his sights set on an exit ahead of the new EFL campaign.
The Jensen replacement
As touched on before, there have been a number of departures from Lincoln City. Some of those have been for key players, one being goalkeeper Lukas Jensen.
The former Burnley man flourished in his first and only season at Sincil Bank. He kept 21 clean sheets and conceded only 43 goals in 50 outings for Skubala's side.
Such form prompted interest from elsewhere and Championship side Millwall secured his signature.
Two new goalkeepers have joined the Imps in Jamie Pardington and Zach Jeacock. However, a true replacement for last season's number one is needed, and Wickens could be just that as reports state talks have begun over a deal.
Ready for League One
Wickens has looked primed and ready for a challenge at a good level for a little while now. He got that with Ross County, though their dismal backline left the Fulham prospect helpless over the second half of last season.
After impressing in academy football, it was with Wealdstone where Wickens announced himself on the senior stage. He kept 12 clean sheets in 40 National League games for a side playing expansive football.
It meant he had to be comfortable with the ball at his feet as well as busy with shot-stopping.
League One looks to be a good level for Wickens as a Fulham exit beckons and Lincoln City could be a great place for him to kick on. Time will tell if a deal comes to fruition amid recent talks though.

Why Crystal Palace must avoid competing against Fulham to sign Emile Smith Rowe
Crystal Palace are looking to bolster their attacking ranks over the summer transfer window, with Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe the latest name linked with a move.
It comes as the club begin life after Michael Olise, who left Crystal Palace to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth £50.8million.
The 22-year-old scored ten goals and assisted six in an injury-hit Premier League season that saw him make just 19 appearances.
Replacing that quality won't be easy, giving Dougie Freedman and the rest of the recruitment team a huge challenge.
With that in mind, the latest name that has been linked with a move to Selhurst Park is Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe.
The 23-year-old has predominantly played on the left or as an attacking midfielder since breaking into the first-team with the Gunners.
Recent reports have stated that Crystal Palace have had an initial bid rejected for Smith Rowe, with Fulham also competing for his signature.
While it could be a move that the Eagles pursue further, there is one key problem that may prevent a deal.
Emile Smith Rowe injury history
Considering the fee involved for Smith Rowe, which would make him one of the most expensive signings in Crystal Palace's history, some concerns need to be addressed.
The main one surrounds the injury history of the Arsenal star, who has struggled in recent seasons with those issues.
According to Transfermarkt, Smith Rowe has suffered five injuries that have lasted over 90 days since the 2018/19 season.
A recurring groin injury has accounted for three of those, with surgery on the issue in 2022 keeping him out for over 120 days.
Two whole seasons have passed since Smith Rowe has been a regular player in the Arsenal team, which will also raise concerns over his ability to reach the heights again.
In all, it may be an expensive gamble that could backfire if Crystal Palace aren't able to take the 23-year-old back to that level he can hit.
Emile Smith Rowe value
While it may be an expensive deal, the reality is that if Smith Rowe can rediscover his best form and stay injury-free, then the move could work out to be a bargain.
However, the move itself doesn't make much sense for Crystal Palace at this stage due to several different reasons.
Not only are there the injury concerns and the transfer fee involved, but his profile isn't exactly that of a replacement for Olise.
Smith Rowe is right-footed, often favouring the left wing or central spaces as opposed to the right wing and cutting in.
In this instance, the Arsenal academy graduate would be a better replacement for Eberechi Eze, who has admirers but is still a Palace player.
It remains to be seen whether a deal will be pursued, but it may be one that makes little sense for the current setup at Selhurst Park.

Lincoln line up Wickens move
Fulham goalkeeper George Wickens is in talks with Lincoln City over a permanent move to Sincil Bank, according to Football Insider.
The 22 year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Ross County, has been given the green light to seek first team football away from Craven Cottage. It will be a wrench for the lifelong Fulham fan to leave his boyhood club, where he has been highly rated since impressing as a seventeen year-old scholar.
Wickens has had to go on loan to get a taste of senior football – starring in a superb spell with Wealdstone, before making nineteen appearances for County as the Staggies saved their SPL status last season. The 6ft 5in custodian has attracted interest from a number of EFL sides, with League One Lincoln looking to add competition for Sam Long and Jamie Pardington as Michael Skubula plots a promotion push.

'Will stay' - Fulham and West Ham sent £40m transfer blow by pundit
The two London clubs are rumoured to be competing for the Manchester United academy product.
Fulham and West Ham have been told that their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay could be a waste of time by Scottish football legend Ally McCoist.
The Cottagers are believed to be frontrunners to complete a move for the 27-year-old as Marco Silva looks to recruit in midfield. Star man Joao Palhinha is expected to complete a move to Bayern Munich with the riverside club also linked with a swoop for Arsenal star Emile Smith-Rowe.
West Ham have long been interested in McTominay with former manager David Moyes confirming that the club had failed in a transfer move last summer. There have been conflicting reports this window, some suggesting that the Hammers' interest has died with Moyes' departure, but other outlets claim that new manager Julen Lopetegui could still be interested in the Scotland international.
The Manchester Evening News have reported this week that Manchester United have rejected a bid from Turkish side Galatasaray as interest grows. The failed West Ham bid last season was believed to be around £30 million with the Red Devils valuing the player closer to the £40 million mark.
Speaking to talkSPORT BET, Rangers legend and former Scotland international McCoist has given his opinion on the player. The 61-year-old believes that Manchester United's rejection of bids comes from a desire to hold onto the player, rather than drive up his price.
McCoist said: "Scott McTominay will stay at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag. You can count on one hand the number of players who have been successful under Ten Hag at Manchester United – McTominay is probably top of the list.
"He's come in and handled the responsibility of playing for United far better than some of the other players so I think he'll have a good future at the club under Ten Hag."
The midfielder, who came through the Manchester United academy and would represent a strong profit if sold by the Red Devils, scored 10 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions last season.

Araujo signs new three-year deal
Fulham have announced that defender Harvey Araujo has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract with the club.
The teenager, who has been with the club since the age of eleven, rejected interest from several other Premier League sides to commit his future to the Cottagers. The 19 year-old enjoyed an excellent campaign for Ali Melloul's under-21 team, making eighteen appearances in the PL2, and shining as the Whites won the Premier League Cup by thrashing Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage.
Araujo told the Fulham website:
"I'm very excited to sign this new deal. Hopefully there's many more years to come and I can break into the first team. I've been here for eight years now, so Fulham feels like home. I'm going to continue to take each day as it comes, work hard and be the best player I can be. My goal is to just keep developing as a player."

Fulham's FPL Price RevealsFantasy Premier League has today gone live, meaning you can choose which Fulham players make your team!
Rodrigo Muniz was a fantastic budget option for managers throughout the game following his fantastic second half of last season, but you'll have to part with a bit more if you want the Brazilian in your forward line this time around.
At £6m, Muniz is the most expensive Fulham player in the game, a £1.5m increase on his starting price in 2023/24. Though not really a surprise after he bagged 97 points.
Bernd Leno was our top points scorer last term, with his highly impressive figure of 133 the third highest of all goalkeepers. It's form which has seen his price rise to £5m this time around.

Andreas Pereira, Alex Iwobi, Timothy Castagne, and Antonee Robinson also all reached triple figures last season, garnering 438 points between them, and offer good value this time around too, with the midfielders priced at £5.5m and the full-backs £4.5m.

Fulham reach 'agreement in principle' after club put foot down – Now talking to player
Fulham have reached an agreement in principle with Fluminense for midfielder André as they seek a replacement for Joao Palhinha.
That's according to journalist Valentin Furlan, who say Fulham are ready to pay £25m for the midfielder after the Brazilian put their foot down in negotiations.
Marco Silva's side had been expected to return for the Brazilian this summer after losing Palhinha, who has left to join Bayern Munich.
They were interested in André last season when Palhinha was close to a move to Bayern, but abandoned their efforts when the Portuguese midfielder's exit was cancelled on deadline day.
They've now revived their efforts for the 22-year-old and Furlan reports that there is an agreement in place between Fulham and Fluminense on a £25m deal. This is only an agreement in principle, though.
It seems they have been given permission to speak to the player regardless as he also reports that the Premier League side are now in talks with him on various contractual details.
The positive for Fulham is that a deal seems to be moving quickly as it was only two days ago that it was claimed Fluminense were 'in the process' of selling the player to Craven Cottage.
That's now very much on and expect more on this in the coming days, if not hours as Fulham speak to André and try to work out a contract agreement.

Man United REJECT bid for Scott McTominay from Fulham, while West Ham are weighing up an offer for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka for £15m
McTominay, who has one year left on his contract, is attracting plenty of interest
Wan-Bissaka cost United £50m when he signed from Crystal Palace in 2019
Manchester United have rejected a bid for Scott McTominay from Fulham and are aware of interest from West Ham in Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Fulham's offer for McTominay is understood to be less than the £30m United turned down from West Ham for the Scotland midfielder a year ago before he scored a career-best 10 goals last season.
McTominay, who has attracted interest from Galatasaray, only has one year left on his contract but United have the option to extend it by another 12 months.
The 27-year-old was the first of the players who appeared at Euro 2024 to return for pre-season training on Wednesday and could feature in Saturday's second game against Rangers at Murrayfield.
Meanwhile, West Ham are understood to be weighing up a bid for Wan-Bissaka in the region of £15m.

West Ham are said to be eyeing up a bid for Man United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The 26-year-old cost United £50m when he signed from Crystal Palace in 2019, but is now in the final year of his contract after the club activated the 12-month extension until June 2025, and could leave for nothing next summer.
Wan-Bissaka, who is also on Galatasaray's radar, has fallen behind Diogo Dalot in the pecking order at right-back.
United are prepared to listen to offers for most of their players to help fund new signings this summer as long as they match their quality and value.
They are looking at signing a new right-back and defensive midfielder so McTominay and Wan-Bissaka are among the players who could be available if the price is right.

Fulham Still Keen On 23-year-old Defensive Midfielder
Fulham are still pushing to secure a deal for the signature of Fluminense defensive midfielder Andre this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Cottagers are looking to bring in midfield reinforcements after losing Joao Palhinha in the ongoing transfer window.
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay is a target but Fulham have already failed with a bid for the Scottish midfielder.
Fulham tried to sign him in the winter window when they offered to sign him for a deal worth €25m in January.
It has been claimed that Andre has continued to remain a target for the west London club in the ongoing transfer window.
Fulham have continued to put in an effort to take him to England and are pushing to sign him.
Andre was keen on the move to the Premier League in January and is still interested in joining Fulham.
The Cottagers believe that the fee for Andre should be lower than what they offered in the winter window.

Fulham back in talks with star compared to Javier Mascherano, hope medical can be done this weekend
HITC understands that Fulham are back in talk with a midfielder this summer as they bid to replace Joao Palhinha.
Bayern Munich agreed a deal to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham last week and the Cottagers are now looking for replacements for the former Sporting Lisbon defender.
We had previously reported that Fulham had made an enquiry to Manchester United over a potential deal to sign Scott McTominay.
However, it appears the West London club are back in the race for a former transfer target with sources telling HITC that the club are holding talks over the potential signing of Fluminense midfielder Andre, who the club were keen on last summer.
Fulham enter talks over Andre deal
The two clubs have been in talks, on and off, for 18-months about Andre who is finally closing on a move to Europe.
Liverpool came close to signing him last year, whilst Fulham almost brought him over to replace Joao Palhinha last summer but the Portuguese midfielder stayed at Craven Cottage which meant a deal for Andre was off.
Fulham had spoken to United about McTominay, but were put off by his £40million asking price.
Another player that they also had an interest in and a made an enquiry over was Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who had a rather poor loan spell at West Ham United last summer under David Moyes.
Fulham hoping to fly Andre out this weekend
Sources have told HITC that Fulham are hoping to fly the Brazilian out to England for a medical this weekend.
This would be a major coup for the club as the Brazilian, as mentioned, had interest from a whole host of top European clubs.
Lyon and Atalanta had also been linked with a move for the midfielder but HITC has been told Fulham are confident of finalising a deal.
Brazilian football expert Tim Vickery had previously claimed that Andre reminded him of a 'young Javier Mascherano' and it now appears a deal to take him to West London is close.

Manchester United reject bid from Premier League rivals Fulham for midfielder Scott McTominay
Manchester United have rejected a bid from Fulham for Scott McTominay, talkSPORT understands.
A product of the Red Devils' academy, McTominay has established himself as a regular player for the first team in recent seasons.
The Scotland international was the subject of transfer interest from West Ham last year, but he remained at Old Trafford.
Fulham have made steps to try and bring him to west London for next season, but have seen an offer rejected by United.
It is understood that the offer was below that of the £30million proposal made by West Ham in the previous summer window.
talkSPORT reported Fulham's interest in McTominay earlier this week as they look to replace Joao Palhinha, who has joined Bayern Munich.
United would be prepared to sell the 27-year-old, who has entered the final year of his deal at the club, for the right price.
McTominay has made 252 appearances across all competitions for United, scoring 29 goals and assisting another eight.
He made only 18 Premier League starts last season, but featured in the entirety of their FA Cup winning run, including the final against rivals Manchester City.
The midfielder is also of interest to Galatasaray after their vice-chairman Ibrahim Hatipoglu said: "McTominay's transfer fee is being discussed."
United's summer transfer window recently sparked into life when they announced the signing of Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.
They also look set to sign centre-back Leny Yoro after Lille accepted a £52million bid for the 18-year-old.
And we told you earlier this month how Erik ten Hag is eyeing up a reunion with Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt at the Theatre of Dreams.
Meanwhile talkSPORT understands West Ham are in advanced talks with United over a move for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Ten Hag is preparing for his third season in charge at the club despite speculation over his future, with his contract being extended to 2026.
