Ochoa, Jiménez return to Mexico squad for U.S. friendly
High-profile veterans Guillermo Ochoa and Raúl Jiménez have earned a return to Mexico men's team after being included in manager Javier Aguirre's 27-man call-up for friendlies vs. Valencia on Oct. 12 and the United States men's national team on Oct. 15.
Ochoa, who joined Portugal's AVS this summer, and Jiménez, currently in his second season with Fulham, were recent noteworthy absences from El Tri's Copa América squad under former head coach Jaime "Jimmy" Lozano. Without their aging but key figures, Mexico failed to impress with an early exit in the tournament's group stage, thereby leading to the eventual firing of Lozano.
The move to include Ochoa and Jiménez highlights a desire to slow a generational change that was unable to develop through Lozano in the Copa.
Elsewhere in the 27-man roster for October, the squad is also highlighted by prominent names such as West Ham's Edson Álvarez, Lokomotiv Moscow's César Montes, and AEK Athens' Orbelín Pineda.
The call-up is the second for Aguirre after taking charge in July.
As for possible debuts in October's friendlies -- which will host Valencia at Puebla's Estadio Cuauhtemoc and the USMNT at Guadalajara's Estadio Akron -- a total of two players (Seattle Sounders' Obed Vargas and Monterrey's Germán Berterame) could represent Mexico's senior team for the first time.

— Mexican National Team (@miseleccionmxEN) October 1, 2024
October's roster was unable to feature players that are currently recovering from injuries like PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving "Chucky" Lozano, Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez, and Dinamo Moscow midfielder Luis Chávez. Lozano, like Jimenez and Ochoa, was one of the marquee names left off the summer's Copa squad.
Aguirre's call-up is also noted for including 38-year-old legend Andrés Guardado, who returns after a two-year absence in order to take part in a farewell game against Valencia.
El Tri currently maintain a 1W-1D-0L record under Aguirre. Mexico's camp begins on Sunday, Oct. 6.
Mexico's 27-man call-up

Defenders: Rodrigo Huescas (FC Copenhagen), Jorge Sánchez (Cruz Azul), Jesús Orozco (Chivas), César Montes (Lokomotiv Moscow), Johan Vásquez (Genoa), Jesús Angulo (Tigres), Bryan González (Pachuca)
Midfielders: Edson Álvarez (West Ham United), Luis Romo (Cruz Azul), Obed Vargas (Seattle Sounders), Marcel Ruiz (Toluca), Carlos Rodríguez (Cruz Azul), Andrés Guardado (León), Sebastián Córdova (Tigres), Orbelin Pineda (AEK Athens)

Liverpool face the threat of losing to Man United for the signature of Premier League star
Liverpool and Manchester United are set to be involved in the race to sign Fulham defender Antonee Robinson, according to GiveMeSport.
Both the clubs will be joined by Chelsea as they target a move for the left-back who has impressed the biggest clubs in England with his performances.
As per the report, Man United are ready to accelerate plans to sign the Fulham defender.
The Red Devils have splashed the cash on new signings this summer and they have extensively strengthened their squad.
Doing that has not translated into their form this season though, with Erik ten Hag's team sitting in 12th position at the moment after their latest defeat against Tottenham.
The Fulham left-back has a long term contract at the club and that puts the Cottagers in a strong position.
Man United are intensifying their efforts to sign a new left-back after Luke Shaw's constant injury issues and his back-up choice Tyrell Malacia also struggling with his fitness.
Diogo Dalot has been deployed in the left-back position this season and that has weakened the Man United defense and the balance of their side.
Fulham will demand around £40million for the United States international and it remains to be seen if Man United, Liverpool or Chelsea are willing to meet that.
The Red Devils are ready to open negotiations with Fulham over the possible signing of Robinson as they are well aware of the interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.
Liverpool have been targeting a move for a new left-back
Liverpool have left-back issues of their own with Andy Robertson not being the player he was a few seasons ago and his understudy Kostas Tsimikas failing to cement his place in the team at Anfield.
The race to sign Robinson could heat up soon and Fulham would love to see a bidding war for their defender.
Fulham manager Marco Silva has no intention to let the defender leave the club so any club interested in signing him would have to meet the demands set by the west London club.

Troy Deeney says Fulham star did something vs Nottingham Forest that he didn't see anywhere else
Fulham continued their strong start to the new Premier League season with the first away win of the campaign on the road against Nottingham Forest.
Raul Jimenez's 51st-minute penalty was all that separated the two sides at the City Ground as the Cottagers climbed up to sixth in the Premier League standings after six games, just two points off a UEFA Champions League spot.
With Marco Silva's summer signings in Emile Smith Rowe and Joachim Andersen proving to be some of the best in the league this season, Fulham fans could expect yet another exciting campaign even after losing a key player in Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich.
And Troy Deeney has praised one Fulham star for what he managed to achieve this weekend against Forest.
Joachim Andersen praised after 'excellent' defensive display vs Forest
Writing for BBC Sport, the former Watford captain hailed Andersen after the Danish international's performance against Forest, with Fulham the only side to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League facing off against another 11.
Signed for £30m this summer, Andersen has been a coup for Fulham since returning to west London in the transfer window, and Deeney was impressed with what he saw from the former Crystal Palace star against Forest.
Deeney said when talking about Andersen and Fulham's defensive performance: "They were the only team to get a clean sheet having played 11 v 11 at Nottingham Forest. They were excellent, he was excellent.
"The Dane been a real strong addition for Fulham. He has a passing ability which is quite under-rated. He hit some lovely diagonal balls which got them moving forward."
Andersen is proving to be one of the Premier League signings of the season
Andersen impressed during his last spell at Craven Cottage with Fulham, and some three years later, the Danish international is again showing why he is made for the Premier League having thrived under Silva.
Although one could argue Fulham paid over the odds to bring Andersen back to the club, the results speak for itself, with the former Palace star thriving this season at his old side alongside Calvin Bassey.
Indeed, Silva has stumbled upon a fantastic back-five and a solid defence that could take Fulham a long way this season, and signing Andersen has been key to this revelation, with the 28-year-old centre-back at the peak of his powers back in west London.

'My vision for the New Riverside Stand was to provide our fans, and our neighbourhood, with a destination that would continue to honour history and tradition at Craven Cottage – the home of Fulham Football Club since 1896,' says Shahid Khan, Fulham's chairman. 'When it comes to match days, we will offer a premium experience that will be unlike anything in football, in London or elsewhere.' The focus, he adds, is not just on offering a world-class matchday experience, but also benefiting the long-term future of the club, now in its 17th Premier League campaign.
Similarly, the New Riverside Stand has sought to honour the Fulham community by partnering with local architects and suppliers where possible. Design on the stand was led by Populous, a renowned architectural practice based just over the river in Putney. Completing the stand has supported 2,750 jobs, with an emphasis on local workers.
To ensure that the interiors of the stadium will be just as spectacular as the outside, Fulham has also brought on board some of the most celebrated designers from across Europe, including Lázaro Rosa-Violán of Soho House fame; Stuart Forbes Associates; and the Manchester-based creative agency Music.
Luxury matchday experiences are now available to purchase from Fulham Football Club directly. The final experiences, including the Sky Deck, are scheduled to open in December 2024, in time for the second half of the football season.

Marco Silva's Fulham evolution enters its next stageProgression is there for all to see at Craven Cottage
Take a glance at the Premier League table and you will see that one top-half team stands out, sandwiched between those with vastly deeper pockets and much loftier season expectations.
Fulham have so far kept pace with the title contenders and favourites to finish in the European places come May. They sit sixth in the table, above Newcastle, Tottenham, Brighton and Manchester United.
Still early days but still an impressive feat, and not one considered a surprise in west London.
While last season's 13th-place finish could be chalked down as a regression on paper, having finished 10th the season prior, they did add statement victories against big-six opposition by beating Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham.
Marco Silva rightly saw them as significant milestones in the club's evolution. And 'evolution' is the appropriate word.
The 47-year-old has been the key cog in the Fulham machine since their 2022 return to the Premier League and has honed his favoured 4-2-3-1 system across four seasons, while also taking on a leading role in the club's recruitment policy and genuinely making players better.
Bernd Leno joined from Arsenal in 2022, Emile Smith Rowe this summer. Leno has played some of the best football of his career in a Fulham shirt; Smith Rowe looks certain to.
Fulham have a knack for buying smartly. Alex Iwobi, Sasa Lukic and Adama Traore have all come to the fore this season or last, all better players than when making their debuts under Silva.
Raul Jimenez's form is the most immediate and best representation. The former Wolves striker looked off the pace last season and was outshone in the second half of the season by Rodrigo Muniz remarkable purple patch in front of goal.
Plenty will expect Fulham to fall, but betting against Silva has tended to backfire
The tables have turned, though, and now Jimenez is the form striker after scoring in three straight league games. A £5.5million move from Molineux was last summer viewed as an affordable, largely risk-free punt, following Aleksandar Mitrovic's exit, and is now verging on 'steal' territory.
Silva made sure there was no hangover from a frustrating loss at Manchester United on the opening night of the new Premier League campaign. They beat Leicester City the following weekend to get on the board for the season and have since earned three points against Newcastle and at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest.
Battling draws with Ipswich Town and West Ham — Fulham the better team in both — means that narrow loss to United remains the only blot on their 2024/25 report card thus far.
And that includes an early Carabao Cup exit to Preston North End.
Silva has made it clear in recent seasons that the Premier League is his main priority, so will be happy to focus solely on climbing the league standings until FA Cup third-round weekend in January.
Plenty will expect Fulham, in time, to fall down the table, but supporters will be eager to remind them that betting against Silva has tended to backfire.

Raul earns Mexico recall
In-form Fulham forward Raul Jimenez has been recalled to the Mexico squad for their friendly matches against Valencia and the United States this month.
Jimenez has scored in three consecutive games for Fulham and his winning penalty at Nottingham Forest was his 50th Premier League goal. The 33 year-old striker had been dropped for the Copa America but after Mexico crashed out at the group stage, Jaime Lozano was sacked and replaced by Javier Aguirre.

Poaching top six cast-offs is working in Fulham's favour
Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson have definitely hit the ground running at Craven Cottage this season. The former is starting every week and already frequently contributing at the business end of the pitch. Nelson has made a couple of encouraging cameos too, and scored both in the league against Newcastle and in the league cup defeat to Preston North End. While they joined on entirely different terms, both moved to the club from Arsenal after falling down the pecking order in North London. Nelson and Smith Rowe will have felt the need to prove a point and to kickstart their careers in the Premier League, with the view to getting back into contention at international level, Smith Rowe already having senior England experience (Nelson last featured in the England setup in 2020 for the U21s).
Tried and tested
They are not the only players in Marco Silva's squad at the moment who were seen as surplus to requirements at a top six club. Bernd Leno lost his place to Aaron Ramsdale at Arsenal before becoming Fulham's number one and flourishing at the Cottage. Alex Iwobi may not have come directly from Arsenal but last season arguably played the best football of his career and has established himself as a quality Premier League player, changing the slightly more negative opinions held of him from his time at the Emirates. Andreas Pereira was rarely a regular starter during his time at Manchester United, but as we all know rarely is dropped by Marco Silva. While mostly down to injury, Ryan Sessegnon never kicked on at Tottenham, and despite a number of successful loan spells, Harry Wilson's main break came at Fulham rather than Liverpool.
It seems to be a strategy that works for every party. The selling club moves on a fringe player for a fee, and the player gets to develop under Marco Silva, who has gained a reputation at the Cottage for helping players whose careers have stagnated. It's been well publicised in the last three seasons how the likes of Tim Ream, Willian, Andreas Pereira, Joao Palhinha and more have either played the best football of their career at Fulham or pushed on to a level that previously didn't seem possible.
A smart strategy
For Fulham as a buying club, the possibilities are endless. Firstly, and as has been proven with the number of success stories, the club gain a quality player. These signings weren't coming through at these top six clubs because they're any old Tom, Dick or Harry. They were highly rated by some of the best scouts and coaches in the country and either struggled to push on or found game time hard to come by. Within a couple of seasons, Fulham are likely to then have a first-team regular or a player they can sell on for a significantly higher fee than they bought them for, something which has never been so important as in the era of PSR.
It's not just Fulham that are proof of this sort of strategy working. Nottingham Forest are flying this season, thanks a lot to the wing play of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga, two players who never kicked on at Chelsea or Manchester United but look to be fulfilling their earlier potential after being shown confidence in their abilities at the City Ground. Emerson Palmieri and Aaron Wan-Bissaka left those same clubs after losing their starting spots at their respective clubs, but will now surely provide a quality full-back pairing for West Ham. Even Brighton, whose transfer strategies are well publicised and correctly complimented, have added the likes of James Milner, Adam Lallana, Danny Welbeck and Tariq Lamptey during their journey towards European football because they knew the value of having these sorts of players in the squad who have experience of playing alongside players at the very top level.
So, who else in the doldrums of the traditional top six's squads could Fulham potentially look? Bernd Leno won't be our goalkeeper forever, and whether you look at Stefan Ortega at Manchester City or Caoimhin Kelleher at Liverpool, there are some phenomenal gloves-men sitting on the benches of the big sides. Joe Gomez, Jakub Kiwior and Sergio Reguilon all feel like players discarded at their current clubs who could plug gaps in Fulham's defence at any time in the event of a big sale or an injury crisis.
In terms of the other half of the pitch, Richarlison, Cesare Casadei, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Doak and Matheus Nunes would all excite me greatly if they pitched up at the Cottage anytime soon. Are many of them likely? Maybe not... but they shouldn't be written off as options as Fulham continue to prove that this is a market worth looking into.

'Letters have already been sent' – Fulham receive request as player set for national team return
Fulham's Raul Jimenez wasn't part of Mexico's squad for the Copa America earlier this year and he last played for the country about 11 months ago.
While that somewhat helps Fulham because of how he can focus on club duties, the striker could again become an important part of the Mexico side soon enough.
As per La Opinion, Jimenez will return to the national team's fold soon and 'letters have already been sent' to Fulham to notify them them the player will be called up, with Meixcan club AVS also told veteran Guillermo Ochoa is set to return to El Tri.
The expectation is that in the next few days, Jimenez's return to the Mexico side will be made official. Manager Javier Aguirre will have the striker in the squad for their upcoming games against Valencia and the US.
Feyenoord's Santiago Gimenez, who is a vital part of the Mexico side, will miss out with injury but that's now the only reason the Fulham player is returning.
The 33-year-old has impressed in the Premier League this season, scoring three times. Those goals have come in the last three games and Jimenez is Mexico's in-form striker.

Fulham ace among 'top three in the Premier League' as pundit hails 'outstanding' star
It is a testament not only to Marco Silva's coaching but also the club's recruitment team that one of Fulham's players can be considered amongst the Premier League's 'top three'.
In fact, there are a handful of Cottagers players who could claim to be amongst the best in the division these days.
No conversation of the Premier League's best left-backs is complete without the barnstorming Antonee Robinson. Adama Traore, back in form after being reunited with his former Wolves partner Raul Jimenez, surely belongs amongst the three fastest footballers in the competition.
Summer signing Joachim Andersen, meanwhile, is one of the Premier League's finest when it comes to playing the ball out of the back. The Denmark international's trademark diagonals the catalyst for many a Fulham attack during Saturday's 1-0 win at a previously unbeaten Nottingham Forest.
Marco Silva's side knew what they were getting when Fulham completed a £30 million deal for Andersen in August.
The former Lyon, Sampdoria and Crystal Palace colossus spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Craven Cottage after all. And while that campaign ended in relegation – a Fulham side containing Andersen, Ademola Lookman, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and co somehow finishing in the bottom three – the former captain was such a hit first time around that it felt inevitable he would pick up where he left off.
And that he most certainly has.
Fulham star Joachim Andersen labelled amongst Premier League's 'top three'
"Strange decision from Crystal Palace to sell a defender like Andersen," former Aston Villa and England forward Agbonlahor tells talkSPORT, Fulham's gain most certainly the struggling Eagles' loss.
"Him and [Marc] Guehi were so good together.
"His distribution is probably top three in the Premier League. How he can pass out from the back, his long-range passing, his composure, but also defensively, you know, he was outstanding against Nottingham Forest.
"[Andersen helped secure] a clean sheet and a 1-0 win for his team."
There were concerns when Fulham lost Tosin Adarabioyo to West London neighbours Chelsea over the summer.
Andersen, however, not only feels like a replacement but an upgrade on current form. Fulham have picked up seven points from nine since his return, beating Champions League-chasing Newcastle 3-1 last time out before dealing Nottingham Forest their maiden defeat of 2024/25.
Troy Deeney included Fulham returnee Andersen in his Team of the Week too, via BBC Sport.
"[Fulham] were excellent, he was excellent," the ex-Watford skipper said. "The Dane been a real strong addition for Fulham. He has a passing ability which is quite under-rated.
"He hit some lovely diagonal balls which got them moving forward."
Marco Silva delighted as Fulham beat Nottingham Forest
With only one loss from six outings, Fulham are currently just outside the top four following a flying start to the new campaign.
The defender's old employers, meanwhile, are 12 places and eight points worse off. Stuck in the relegation zone and going nowhere fast.
"Great win for us. Great battle, tight game, as we expected, and the boys did really well when we had to keep our organisation and show the character in the last minutes of the game," Silva told reporters after that City Ground triumph, Andersen helping ensure Forest managed only one shot on target with star creator Morgan Gibbs-White suspended.
"We showed it (character) from the first minute, to be honest. We started to command the game the way we like to on the ball. We faced a team playing a direct game, one striker to fight second balls, the other running in behind, and every throw-in around our box.
A lot of challenge, a lot of battles, a lot of second balls. But the reality is that [goalkeeper Bernd Leno had to make] one save from long range.
"There was not one chance for Forest throughout the game."

Man Utd 'accelerate' plans to sign Fulham ace, as Liverpool hijack threat sees price tag soar
Manchester United are accelerating plans to snatch Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson out of Liverpool's grasp, and the genuine threat of the Reds may force the Red Devils into paying over the odds, according to reports.
The left-back position has become something of a headache for Erik ten Hag in recent times. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have spent most of the last 14 months on the sidelines, with Diogo Dalot deputising on the left-side in the early going this term.
According to an update from Give Me Sport, Man Utd are 'beginning to accelerate' plans to solve their left-back problem once and for all by plucking Antonee Robinson out of Fulham.
The USA international, 27, is also on Liverpool's radar. Andy Robertson is now the wrong side of 30 and the Reds are understood to be seeking a long-term replacement.
To avoid losing the full-back to their bitter rivals, Man Utd are stepping up their pursuit of Robinson and are ready to make a firm bid in 2025. Whether United would make a move in January or wait until the summer was not specified.
Man Utd are reportedly reluctant to meet Fulham's £40m asking price. However, GMS concluded that with Liverpool posing a serious threat, Man Utd may feel the need to bite the bullet and pay up to avoid missing out.
Robinson is contracted to Fulham until 2028, meaning Marco Silva's side are under no pressure to accept a cut-price bid.
Liverpool January bid could force Man Utd's hand
The Sun recently confirmed Liverpool are admirers of Robinson and suggested the Reds were weighing up whether to make a January approach.
Doing so would force Man Utd's hand and potentially spark a winter window bidding war, much to Fulham's delight.
Robinson was signed for just £2m when bought from Wigan Athletic back in 2020. A sale worth £40m would place Robinson third on Fulham's all-time list of most lucrative sales. Aleksandar Mitrovic (Al Hilal – £50m) and Joao Palhinha (Bayern Munich – £47.4m) hold first and second spot respectively.
Robinson was named Fulham's player of the season for the 2023/24 campaign and given his extensive Premier League experience, would very much represent a signing for the here and now.
In the event Man Utd were to win the race for the American, TEAMtalk understands Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez has been identified as a more than viable alternative by Anfield chiefs.

Gabriel Agbonlahor baffled by what Crystal Palace agreed to do in August, it has hurt Oliver Glasner
Crystal Palace made a number of bold decisions during the summer transfer window.
After such a strong end to the 2023/24 campaign – which involved six wins and one draw from the final seven Premier League outings – Crystal Palace decided to sell Joachim Andersen to Fulham in a £30m deal.
Bayern Munich also pinched Michael Olise from Selhurst Park – although that was not exactly a club decision, given the France international's fixed £50m release clause.
Jordan Ayew, Sam Johnstone, Jairo Riedewald and James Tomkins – who Wolves could sign – also left SE25 over the summer, with the vast turnover affecting results, leaving us sat 18th in the Premier League.
Now, Gabriel Agbonlahor has admitted his surprise at one "strange decision" from Crystal Palace made back in August...
Gabriel Agbonlahor questions why Crystal Palace sold Joachim Andersen to Fulham
The 37-year-old has pointed the finger at Crystal Palace for selling Andersen to Fulham, after naming the Denmark international in his Team of the Week on talkSPORT.
Agbonlahor said: "Strange decision from Palace to sell a defender like Andersen, him and Guehi were so good together. His distribution is probably top three in the Premier League, how he can pass out from the back, his long range passing, his composure, but also defensively, you know, he was outstanding against Nottingham Forest. A clean sheet and a 1-0 win for his team."
Luka Milivojevic was surprised to see Crystal Palace sell Andersen too, expressing his shock at the news on Instagram.
The Dane has since made three Premier League appearances for Fulham, helping the Cottagers secure seven points from encounters against West Ham, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
Steve Parish was right to sell Andersen
Of course, the decision looks like a poor one as things stand, with Fulham sitting sixth as we languish in 18th place.
However, it was the correct call.
Andersen was upset with Crystal Palace for not matching Fulham's contract offer, which is believed to be worth over £150,000-a-week across five years, keeping him in west London until the age of 33.
At the moment, Oliver Glasner is missing the 28-year-old's leadership qualities as the backline looks disorganised, but once Maxence Lacroix and Trevoh Chalobah gel alongside Marc Guehi, we believe people will look back on this sale and feel it was the right decision.
From a business perspective more than anything, it made sense to offload a player close to his thirties who was asking for around £150,000-a-week, and bring in Lacroix, who is four years younger, on a salary of £50,000-a-week for a fee of £15m.
Hopefully, time will prove us right.

Conor Coady says Fulham have a 'fantastic' player who is the real deal despite Marco Silva criticism
Fulham were 1-0 victors against Nottingham Forest on the weekend.
Marco Silva's men picked up their second successive win in the Premier League and moved up to sixth in the table.
The Cottagers dominated the ball for much of the encounter – averaging 60 per cent possession – and were fully deserving of the three points.
Reflecting on the clash, Leicester City centre-back Conor Coady waxed lyrical about one Fulham man in particular.
Conor Coady hails Fulham striker Raul Jimenez
Coady, speaking on BBC's Monday Night Club, hailed Raul Jimenez, who was the matchwinner against Forest, and said he's the complete striker.
"I was lucky enough to play with Adama and Raul, and they have really, really hit the ground running this season," the 31-year-old said.
"I know he got a bit of stick from the manager after the game, but Raul took the penalty the other day.
"What he brings to a team, I can say first hand from sharing a pitch with him, Raul, he is fantastic when he is on his game. He really really is. He is a real all-round striker."
Marco Silva wasn't happy with Raul Jimenez after Nottingham Forest clash
Silva wasn't best pleased with Jimenez on the weekend after he took the penalty off Andreas Pereira – who is the designated taker.
"It's clearly the fault of Raul. It is not going to happen again.
"Has Raul apologised? Yes. He had to because he knows the rules and how important discipline is in our squad."

Man Utd quickly lining up move for "insane" £40m star, formal bid possible
Manchester United are looking to beat some of their Premier League rivals to the signature of a top performing defender by accelerating their transfer plans and testing the resolve of his current club, according to a new report.
Man Utd transfer news
Given how the season has started for the Red Devils, supporters will have more important things on their minds than transfer news. But it appears that while the club's hierarchy takes their time deciding Erik ten Hag's future, they are also looking at potential players they could recruit in 2025.
According to a recent report, Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi has emerged on the Old Trafford radar, as the club still looks to bolster their defensive options. The defender was chased by Newcastle United during the summer but remained in South London, and it now seems that United could look to sign the England centre-back, despite adding Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt to the squad recently.
As well as looking to sign Guehi, Man United may also be in the market for a new goalkeeper, as a report claims that the Red Devils are keeping an eye on Real Madrid's Andriy Lunin. As well as United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the shot-stopper. The Premier League side already have a number one in Andre Onana, but they may want to add a bit more competition in that area of the pitch.
Man Utd looking to beat Liverpool in battle for £40m player
According to Give Me Sport, Manchester United are looking to accelerate their pursuit of Fulham defender Antonee Robinson so they can beat Liverpool and Chelsea to the signing. The report states that the Premier League side are looking to progress their plans quickly to sign a new left-back and have had Robinson on their list for some time. They are apparently considering testing Fulham's resolve next year, presumably meaning a formal bid is in the offing.
Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested in the USA international, and they are both planning to make offers in 2025, which means United face a battle to secure the transfer. Robinson, who was labelled as "insane" by football analyst Ben Mattison, still has four years remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage, meaning Fulham are also in a good position when it comes to negotiating a transfer.
This update goes on to add that United are unlikely to be willing to meet Fulham's £40 million demands for the player, but his experience in the Premier League makes him a major attraction so perhaps more injury troubles for Luke Shaw could change that stance.
The Red Devils are keen to strengthen in the left-back area as injury concerns still loom over both Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Manchester United set to intensify efforts to sign Antonee Robinson
Manchester United are ready to push ahead in their pursuit of Antonee Robinson and beat their rivals for the Fulham left-back.
According to Give Me Sport, Manchester United are prepared to step up their pursuit of Antonee Robinson ahead of the next window. The Red Devils are aware of the growing interest from Premier League rivals in the Fulham left-back, with Liverpool and Chelsea also keen.
Antonee Robinson has made himself a big name in the Premier League over many years in English football due to his consistent availability. The latter might be a commodity that attracts big clubs to him, as there were considerable links in the summer window.
Since arriving at Fulham from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2020, Antonee Robinson has barely missed games, as he has been available for most of the season year after year. Moreover, he has been posting consistent performances for the Cottagers, which has led to teams like Chelsea looking at him during the previous window.
Fulham had placed a £40 million price tag on the left back, who has four more years left on his £50,000-a-week deal at Craven Cottage. Hence, the West London club are in total control if they enter into negotiations with suitors in the future.
The Blues are keen to replace Ben Chilwell when the January window opens. Liverpool and Manchester United are also keen, with the Merseysiders in particular looking at him as a potential long-term addition, either to replace Andrew Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas. Those interested parties are now pushing Manchester United into action as they ponder making an approach in January.
Manchester United are pushing for Robinson
Manchester United clearly need a left-back who could make himself available at all times during the season. The Red Devils are indeed interested in Robinson ahead of January. They are mulling over bringing in a full-back on the left side, as their current options, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, have thoroughly disappointed with their dreadful fitness records.
Hence, the Red Devils could make a move for Robinson when the January transfer window opens. Manchester United are not willing to match Fulham's £40 million price tag, although, with an early approach, they could well have the upper hand over their rivals in negotiations with the Cottagers.

Make no mistake that the strength of our back four is a major factor in our good results.
However no sooner do we start to get results than the big six are in there trying to break things up with interest in Robinson, hard for the smaller clubs to build a strong team.

as a fan it makes you sick nicking top players from clubs coming up, weakes those clubs and should make teams like manure stronger. In there case they don't seam to get stronger.
Hope siva tells them to bog off and is backed by the Khans myself.
If it really is all about the money - and those two money-bags clubs want one of our players that much, then surely we as a club are in the driver seat on this.
Just put a price tag on our players, thats attractive to us but unattractive to them!

Surely all clubs do that, getting players from lesser clubs.
