Chelsea vs. Fulham: Head-to-head record and past meetings
As two of the West London clubs that have spent the most time in the top flight of English football, Chelsea and Fulham are well accustomed to each other.
No iteration of a West London derby has been played as often as this one, but given Chelsea's unprecedented levels of success, it is no surprise that they have been the dominant force in this specific fixture.
Here, Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at the head-to-head record and previous meetings between the two sides.
Head-to-head record
Previous meetings: 91
Chelsea wins: 52
Draws: 27
Fulham wins: 12
The first meeting between Chelsea and Fulham came all the way back in 1910, with the Cottagers winning a second division fixture, but the Blues would quickly dominate their neighbours over the following years, losing none of the next 12 head-to-heads - winning eight.
Chelsea did not lose again for another 26 years, until falling to defeat in a fifth round FA Cup replay to Fulham, who themselves would then lose in the semi-finals.
There were no top-flight meetings between the two until 1949, but once they became regular occurrences, Chelsea resumed their dominance, losing just two of the 22 clashes until Fulham were relegated in the late-1960s.
That would be the last time the two West London clubs met in the top flight until 2001, when Fulham surged up the divisions and won promotion to the Premier League thanks to healthy backing from Mohamed Al-Fayed.
In the same year as Fulham's Premier League debut, the most high-profile encounter between the two occurred, when John Terry's solitary goal saw Chelsea win a tense FA Cup semi-final over the Cottagers, before eventually losing in the final to another club from the capital, Arsenal.
The 2004-05 season threw up another important cup tie between the sides, but this time in the League Cup quarter-finals, and when the Blues lifted the trophy under Jose Mourinho, Frank Lampard's late winner at Craven Cottage would have been noted as a critical moment.
More cup drama between them occurred in 2011, when a third-round League Cup tie saw Chelsea edge through on penalties, despite playing with 10 men for the final 40 minutes of regular time and all of extra time, after Alex's red card led to a penalty, which was saved by Ross Turnbull, who had been on the pitch for just four minutes, denying Pajtim Kasami from 12 yards.
Fulham's dismal record against Chelsea carries over into the Premier League too, with just two wins in 34 PL meetings, including none at all at Stamford Bridge.
The Cottagers have not even managed a goal at the Bridge since 2011, when Clint Dempsey's strike earned them a 1-1 draw; 660 minutes of action have passed since.
Despite being a rivalry, the fixture did throw up a nice milestone when they met in December 2006, with Moritz Volz scoring the 15,000th Premier League goal in a 2-2 draw, and the German right-back subsequently donated his £15,000 reward money to local charities during the festive period.

Offer tabled for Fulham player keen on transfer – Ready to raise offer to convince Silva's side
Over the past few days, the Brazilian media has talked about Palmeiras' keen interest in Fulham's Andreas Pereira.
Last weekend, Nosso Palestra stated Fulham want €30m and the Brazilian club could only meet this by including a player as part of the deal.
On Monday, the same website said Fulham have sent positive signals over taking Richard Ríos plus money for Pereira.
Globo Esporte now claim Palmeiras have made an attempt to sign the Fulham midfielder without including any player.
He's reportedly keen on joining them and has given his approval to his representatives to continue talks. This would give the Brazilian club an advantage when negotiating with Marco Silva's side.
It's claimed Palmeiras have tabled a €20m bid and are waiting for the Premier League side to respond in the coming days.
Fulham had turned down Marseille's €25m offer, likely in the summer window. Despite this, the report states Palmeiras are optimistic of reaching an agreement for the former Manchester United man's transfer.
Journalist Venê Casagrande took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report about the €20m offer made by Palmeiras.
If Silva's side were to not accept it, they are ready to raise the offer by €2m and this is the 'financial limit' they have to convince Fulham.
The negotiations are ongoing, and Palmeiras are counting on Pereira's desire to join them, to try and get this deal over the line.

Premier League star opens own shop and gives away free food in incredible Christmas gesture
Alex Iwobi spent part of his childhood in one of the more deprived areas of London, and the Fulham and Nigeria star has been spreading goodwill during the festive period
Alex Iwobi has been giving back to his childhood community, giving away free food to those in need at Christmas.
Fulham midfielder Iwobi grew up in East London after moving to the UK from his birth country of Nigeria. He represented England at youth level before playing for the West African nation, and still has ties to Canning Town after spending his childhood there.
Canning Town sits in the Borough of Newham, one of the London boroughs with the highest poverty rates. With low-income families and individuals struggling with the cost of living, Iwobi decided to give something back.
Former Arsenal star Iwobi has been a regular for Fulham under Marco Silva, scoring 10 league goals since the start of last season. This week, though, he has taken on different responsibilties with his 'Alexpress' pop-up shop where those in need are able to pick up food, drinks and items for the house - and even a Christmas turkey.
"We like to do something every Christmas to try and give back," Iwobi told BBC Africa. "Here, we're creating my own 'Alexpress', a little minimart to try and give out food to families that are not able to go and get food for their families at Christmas.
"If I can help them celebrate a great Christmas, why not? Just seeing how my parents are, I've always seen them give back.
"And with that as role models, it's just made me feel like when I get in a position where I am today - or even if I was in less of a position - I would always try to do my best to give back and help out the less fortunate or people that are not able to eat."
On the pitch, Iwobi and his Fulham team-mates will be back in action on Boxing Day. They make the short trip to Chelsea, with both teams going into the game off the back of goalless draws on Sunday afternoon.
Teenage midfielder Josh King made his first Premier League start as Fulham drew with Southampton on Sunday, and could feature again after injuries to Sander Berge and Sasa Lukic. "He's a great talent, it's not a coincidence he had a chance to start the game, he showed in some spells of the game what he's capable to do," manager Marco Silva said of King. "It's an important moment of his career, let's hope there's more to come."
"Not good signs for Sander and Sasa," he added. "Lukic was out a long time with his shoulder but he felt something in final minutes."

Did Arsenal make a huge mistake by selling Emile Smith-Rowe to Fulham?
I think this question will probably not divide many Arsenal fans at this time, with Martinelli struggling to do anything meaningful, despite his slightly improved performance yesterday, and Emile Smith Rowe slowly recapturing his past form at Fulham. It begs the question: what did Arteta see in Martinelli that he didn't see in ESR?
Certainly, anyone who has ever watched football will acknowledge that Emile is a far more rounded player, with superior technical ability and passing. You could also argue that he is a better dribbler than Martinelli. Emile even proved a few years back that he is more than capable of contributing goals to this team when cutting in from the left. So could it really be as simple as Arteta lost faith in ESR's ability to stay fit, rather than in his ability to be a part of the team?
Perhaps Gabriel Martinelli's greatest asset right now, much like Ben White (usually), is being available. Other than that and great straight line speed he doesn't appear to offer much else anymore, which is a shame because he too showed great promise that has not really materialised into anything beyond high velocity sprints toward the touchline that usually culminates in an aimless low cross into the box.
I don't think anyone could or should question his effort; he is a willing runner both going forward and going backwards, but it is his tunnel vision when nearing goal that lets him down a bit. It is an attribute that could make him a dangerous striker were he ever to play that position on a regular basis, but as a winger he needs to be able to pick out players in a better position and this is probably why Arteta alternates him with Trossard so often.
I find Trossard an incredibly frustrating player. He has excellent technical ability and puts in a shift whenever he is on the pitch, but has never really convinced me he is of sufficient quality to match the manager's ambitions. I once described him as a Poundland Eden Hazard and I stand by that description. What he brings though is everything Martinelli lacks, and the two of them combined is roughly what we had with Emile Smith Rowe; Great technical ability combined with pace, dribbling, and an eye for goal.
So did Arteta sell the wrong player and should he have allowed ESR more time to learn to trust his body again, because the Emile Smith Rowe of 2021/22 was so good he was arguably better than Bukayo Saka at that time. Trossard is already too old and is as good as he is ever going to get, and I do not believe Martinelli's skill set or top-level ceiling is close to that of Smith Rowe.
Personally, I would have preferred Arteta keep Smith Rowe and allow him to operate down the left wing as he did back when he was good enough to get into the England squad on merit. Sadly, those days appear to be gone and whilst there may be a buy-back option I doubt he would be willing to return to play for a manager who overlooked him after he returned from injury, reducing him to 5 minutes cameos in the wrong position, and then subsequently sold him.

Enzo Maresca gives Chelsea injury update ahead of Boxing Day clash against Fulham
Chelsea will welcome local rivals Fulham to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day to look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
Enzo Maresca's men were held to a 0-0 draw with Everton last time out, snapping their eight game winning run in all competitions.
The manager was forced to get a little creative with his team selection at the weekend in the absence of a number of key players, with injuries beginning to play their part at Stamford Bridge.
One absentee who will definitely be returning is Marc Cucurella, after he was suspended for the last game due to a red card.
However, the Blues were also without Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia due to injuries.
Chelsea injury update ahead of Boxing Day clash vs Fulham
Maresca has already confirmed that Fofana and Badiashile are unlikely to play again in 2024, and this seems to still be the case after they weren't mentioned today.
However, the boss did have an update on the fitness of Lavia, saying while he is much better he is not ready for the game on Boxing Day.
He said in his pre-match press conference: "He is still recovering. It is much better but unfortunately he is not ready for the next game."
There was no mention of James' condition, however he has only just returned to any solo training in the last week or so and will still be some way away from competing.
Lavia's terrible injury record at Chelsea
Lavia has made just 11 appearances for Chelsea since he joined the club in the summer of 2023.
Only one of these came last season under Mauricio Pochettino, when he was probably thrown back into action a little too quickly after a lengthy layoff.
The Belgian has spent nearly 300 days out since his move to Stamford Bridge, missing close to 50 games.
His absence will again see Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo start in midfield together, while Cole Palmer is likely to operate ahead of them both.

Chelsea vs Fulham: Who is the referee and VAR for the Premier League clash?
The officials have been confirmed for Chelsea's Premier League clash against Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
Chelsea will be confident of extending their unbeaten run to 13 games in all competitions when Marco Silva's side make the very short trip. Enzo Maresca's Blues have not lost any of their last 19 home league games against Fulham (W12 D7).
After a visit to Goodison Park for a goalless draw prior to Christmas, Chelsea return home for the Boxing Day clash and will be keen to mark the end of the year at home with all three points.
As Thursday's league clash awaits, the officials have been confirmed for the meeting in the capital.

Assistants
Sam Barrott will be supported by Lee Betts and Nick Greenhalgh on the touchline.

Chelsea XI vs Fulham: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League game
Romeo Lavia still absent for west London derby, but Marc Cucurella will return
Chelsea will have Marc Cucurella back from suspension when they host Fulham in a Premier League west London derby on Boxing Day.
Cucurella missed Sunday's goalless draw away at Everton after being sent off after the final whistle following the previous weekend's victory over Brentford.
The Spaniard, however, kept sharp with a goalscoring performance in last week's Conference League thrashing of Shamrock Rovers and will surely come straight back into the side at Stamford Bridge.
Midfielder Romeo Lavia is back in training but will not be fit in time to feature against the Cottagers.
"Romeo is still recovering," manager Enzo Maresca said on Tuesday. "He's much, much better. He's on the pitch and working but he's not ready for the next game."
Maresca is not spoilt for choice at centre-back, with Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile still sidelined and Tosin Adarabioyo likely to continue his partnership with Levi Colwill.
Noni Madueke could come in for one of Jadon Sancho or Pedro Neto should Maresca opt to rotate out wide, but Mykhailo Mudryk remains suspended following his positive drugs test.
Up front, Christopher Nkunku will be hoping that Maresca decides to rest Nicolas Jackson but the trip to Ipswich on Monday perhaps looks a more likely option for rotation.
Predicted Chelsea XI: Sanchez; Gusto, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson
Injured: Lavia, James, Fofana, Badiashile
Suspended: Mudryk
Time and date: 3pm GMT on Thursday December 26, 2024

Marco's Chelsea PreviewMarco Silva discusses our South West London Derby against Chelsea on Boxing Day.
Pre-Chelsea Press Conference
48 hours after the draw at home to Southampton, Marco Silva talked to the press ahead of the Boxing Day derby against Chelsea.
The questions put to the manager were, for the most part, around team news.
There was praise for Josh King following his impressive full Premier League debut.
"It's too early to be sure about some players, we have to keep assessing.
"Saša is probably going to be ready for the game. It was a knock, it didn't look serious.
"Sander took a big knock on his ankle and we need to keep assessing, we will make a decision tomorrow.
"Emile is doing his work, let's see whether he will be ready for Chelsea or Bournemouth.
"We will see (if Josh King will feature against Chelsea). I want to be clear, he didn't play just because it was Southampton.
"With the injuries we have and Andreas suspended, we needed a creative player in the middle.
"It was a good performance for him. It was a surprise for some people that he was so composed, but it wasn't a surprise for us.
"I took the decision (to start him) because I saw that he is ready. He is a really good boy who is focused on his goals and the team's.
"(Chelsea are) very, very good. The impact (of Enzo Maresca) is clear.
"A football club that has spent (that much) money in a short amount of time, we knew the quality they would have. We will embrace the challenge.
"Not much time to switch off tomorrow, but all of our families adapt in this situation. We have a job to do."

Before The Whistle: Chelsea v Fulham
Ah, Chelsea. The annoying kid at school with tons of money and who was popular too.
We've not had a great time against them, well, ever. Bar a glut of wins in the 1970s, history has been littered with Ls in this rivalry, which to some fans means the most. Yes, we have Luis Boa Morte in 2006. And we'll always have Carlos Vinicius on that cold, glorious January night in 2023.
But what we don't have is a W at Stamford Bridge in the last 45 years. We've not even scored a goal there since 2011. So, when you see the Blues are top of the form table and attempting to mount their first title challenge in quite a few years, the task looks even tougher on Boxing Day.
After Marco made quite a few changes for Sunday's snoozefest against the Saints, the starting XI is anyone's guess. Joachim Andersen is fit and ready to go, but Issa Diop's form meant he had to sit on the bench. Diop kept a clean sheet on Sunday alongside Calvin Bassey, but Marco knows the task facing the boys at the Bridge, so the Dane could still get the nod.
Josh King impressed on his debut, slotting in as Emile Smithe Rowe dropped out of the squad. Andreas Pereira returns for this one, but ESR might have to wait for Bournemouth on 29 December; Silva says our starboy will be in contention.
The biggest questions surround the base of midfield. Sander Berge left the pitch injured on the weekend, replaced by Sasa Lukic who himself is returning from a spell on the sidelines. Oh, what we'd give for the Lukic/Berge double pivot, but it's unlikely for this one. Sasa looks ready, Sander less likely.
Up top I'd wager Marco will shuffle the front three after the Saints stalemate. Alex Iwobi will remain, but Raul Jimenez coming in for Rodrigo Muniz wouldn't surprise me, and Silva might fancy Adama Traore running at the Chelsea defence as we look to bag our first goal there in 14 years.
The boys will be up for this one. Hopefully we get a late Christmas gift from the footballing gods. You Whites.

Chelsea vs Fulham: Match Preview, Latest Team News and TV Watching Guide
Chelsea vs Fulham Preview: A Festive Derby Day at Stamford Bridge
As the festive season reaches its zenith, a riveting London derby unfolds at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea are set to host Fulham on Boxing Day. This encounter is more than just a game; it's a battle of tactics and resilience in the Premier League. Both teams come into this clash with a point to prove and will be eager to end the year on a high note.
Form Guide: Chelsea's Unbeaten Streak Meets Fulham's Grit
Chelsea have not tasted defeat since a Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Newcastle back in October. Under the meticulous guidance of Enzo Maresca, the Blues have woven an eight-match unbeaten streak in the league, disrupted only by a stalemate at Everton last Sunday. Despite the goalless draw at Goodison Park, Chelsea's form has been largely positive, keeping them just four points adrift of the league leaders, albeit having played an extra game.
Fulham, sitting ninth in the standings, have shown considerable mettle, drawing four of their last five matches, including commendable performances against Tottenham, Arsenal, and Liverpool. The Cottagers' resilience, especially against top-tier opposition, suggests that the upcoming derby will be anything but straightforward.
Tactical Setup and Team News
Chelsea welcomes back Marc Cucurella from suspension, a boost for their defensive line, while the return of Reece James to training adds further depth, though the fixture might come too soon for him to start. Romeo Lavia's potential return could also bolster the midfield options for the Blues.
On the Fulham side, Timothy Castagne is expected to continue his defensive duties in place of the injured Kenny Tete. Meanwhile, Fulham will be without Reiss Nelson, sidelined with a hamstring issue, but Emile Smith Rowe could make a comeback, adding creativity to their midfield.
Viewing Options for Fans
Fans eager to catch every moment of this thrilling encounter can tune into Amazon Prime Video, where the match will be broadcast live. For those preferring digital consumption, a live stream will be available via the Amazon Prime website or app.
Prediction: Expect Goals at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea's fortress, Stamford Bridge, has seen them lose only to Manchester City this season. Given the offensive nature of both teams and Chelsea's rare clean sheet record, the match promises goals on both sides. However, with home advantage and a tactical edge, Chelsea are likely to edge this contest. Expect a competitive game with Chelsea clinching a 2-1 victory, reaffirming their title aspirations and delivering festive cheer to their fans.
Head-to-Head Record
In the historical context, Chelsea dominate the head-to-head statistics with 52 wins to Fulham's 12, alongside 27 draws. This record not only highlights Chelsea's historical upper hand but also sets the stage for an intriguing match-up where past encounters and current form suggest another exciting chapter is about to be written in this London rivalry.
With both teams geared up to provide a Boxing Day spectacle, the stage is set for a memorable encounter in the Premier League. As the year draws to a close, Chelsea and Fulham will look to deliver a performance that resonates well beyond the festive period.

Offer made: Club make £16m+ January bid to sign "outstanding" Fulham star
Fulham could be set for a fight to keep hold of one of their star men after it emerged that one has tabled an offer to take him away from Marco Silva's side in January.
Fulham impressing in the Premier League
Though they were held to a goalless draw by Southampton in their most recent outing, it has been a strong start to the season for Fulham, who recruited aggressively over the summer.
Currently 9th, Fulham have lost just once in their last nine Premier League games, falling to a 4-1 defeat against relegation-threatened Wolves. In that time, they have held both Arsenal and Liverpool to draws, while they face Chelsea on Boxing Day hoping to go one better against their west London rivals.
It comes after Silva's side broke their transfer record to sign Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe in the most recent transfer window, also adding Sander Berge to their midfield ranks and re-signing Joachim Andersen from Crystal Palace, with the trio giving the Cottagers a new-look spine.
But their form has not gone unnoticed, and players are beginning to catch the eye of bigger clubs, with Antonee Robinson the chief suspect amid reported interest from Liverpool in the USMNT star. He is not the only man strongly linked with a move away from west London in the months ahead though.
Club make £16m+ bid for Fulham star
Now, reports in Brazil [via Sport Witness] claim that Fulham are set to be offered the chance to cash in on chief creator Andreas Pereira this winter amid interest from Brazilian outlet Palmeiras.
Pereira hit the headlines in recent weeks for suggesting a move away from Craven Cottage would be "very cool".
"It would be very cool [to go to Marseille], the way [Roberto] De Zerbi plays soccer. I was watching it with good eyes, but let's see now in January or at the end of the season if there will be a transfer or if I will stay at Fulham", he told the media in comments he later claimed were not accurate.
Palmeiras are a potential destination for the Brazilian. Previous reports revealed that the Brazil side had offered a swap deal to try and tempt the Cottagers into selling the ex-Manchester United talent involving Vitor Reis or Richard Rios, but now it is added that this deal was rejected and a fresh offer has been proposed.
This offer, without a player, consists of a flat fee of €20m [£16.5m], which could be raised to €22m [£18.2m] if Fulham reject the initial offer. The initial report claimed that Fulham were holding out for €30m [£25m], which suggests that the new bids may well be rejected out of hand by Silva's side, though it is claimed that "Palmeiras are optimistic of reaching an agreement" over the midfielder.
Any sale would come as a big loss to Silva's side, with Pereira among the top players in the Premier League when it comes to creating chances this season. Only five players provide more shot creating actions than the Brazilian, and though he is yet to register an assist he should have managed two according to expected goals.
Silva is also well aware of his qualities, dubbing him "outstanding" back in 2022 after his arrival at Craven Cottage. "He has been outstanding this season. I know a lot of people had doubts when I decided to sign him but I knew his qualities and his character", he told Sky Sports.
However, with his £50,000 a week deal set to expire in 2026, his value is only decreasing and Fulham may well look to cash in on him sooner rather than later in a bid to still turn a profit.

Premier League make official decision ahead of Chelsea vs Fulham
Chelsea and Fulham are both back in action on Boxing Day
The Premier League have announced that Sam Barrott will referee Chelsea's clash against Fulham on Thursday 26th December. Lee Betts and Nick Greenhalgh have been appointed as the fourth officials.
Meanwhile, Sam Allison is on fourth officials. Paul Tierney is on VAR with James Mainwaring as his assistant.
Chelsea are currently sat in 2nd place in the table behind Liverpool. They have had a decent season under the guidance of Enzo Maresca so far.
The Blues drew 0-0 away at Everton last time out and weren't able to find a winner at Goodison Park. Speaking after the stalemate, Maresca said: "I'm absolutely happy. I just said to the players I'm more happy today than the Brentford game. The reason why is I was quite worried about this game. It's a tricky game, a tricky stadium, a tricky team.
"They are defensively top. They are one of the five best teams in Europe in terms of clean sheets. You struggle to create chances against them. It was not an easy game. You have to deal with and learn to play different games: long balls, second balls, channels, set-pieces. Football is not only how good we play on the ball. It's also how you defend and how you deal with that. I'm very proud today."
He added: "In general, you always struggle to create chances against them. We knew it would be a tough game in terms of clear chances. For sure, we could have attacked better, but there was not space for Cole [Palmer]. In the last half-hour, we tried to move Enzo [Fernandez] into an attacking midfielder, with Malo [Gusto] next to Moi [Caicedo] to change something.
"Overall in this type of game, knowing you are not going to create many chances, you have to be clinical. First half, Nico [Jackson] had a one-v-one with the keeper, hit the post, and we had another two or three chances inside the box. If you are able to be clinical there and score, probably the game becomes different, but until that moment you're going to struggle."
As for Fulham, they were held to a 0-0 draw with Southampton on Sunday afternoon. They couldn't break down the Saints and had to settle for a point at Craven Cottage.
It was a frustrating afternoon for the Whites and their manager Marco Silva said: "I have to say that it's a missed opportunity for us to climb in the table. In our last four results, they were going to have a bigger impact if today we took a step forward and won the game. We respect Southampton but these are the type of games we need to win at home and we didn't create enough chances in the game."
The Cottagers are 9th in the league and have 25 points on the board from their first 17 fixtures. They have once in their last six outings and will be eyeing more victories over the festive period.

'It's going to be war' - Iwobi issues battle cry ahead of Fulham's trip to Chelsea
Alex Iwobi has sent a bold message to Chelsea ahead of Fulham's highly anticipated Boxing Day clash with their West London rivals.
The Super Eagles midfielder, who has been a key figure in Fulham's impressive form this December, described the upcoming derby as a battle and warned the Blues to expect a fierce encounter.
Speaking to the club's media, Iwobi, who has scored five goals and provided three assists in the Premier League this season, emphasized the challenge Chelsea will face.
"Confident team. They have got so many talented players not just the eleven. But the players they can bring on as well can impact the game," said Iwobi to Fulham's official website.
"It is another derby. So I am sure, how good you're is going to be out the window. It is going to be war."
The Nigerian international's message comes ahead of the crucial fixture at Stamford Bridge, with Fulham remaining unbeaten in December.
The Nigerian midfielder emphasized Fulham's preparedness to study and exploit Chelsea's weaknesses ahead of the derby.
"Yeah, we will analyze then, we will see their weakness and their strength and know how we can exploit them," he said.
With this statement, the Nigerian midfielder is determined to deliver a strong performance to help Fulham secure a positive result, maintain their unbeaten record in December, and strengthen their position in the league as they continue to vie for a European spot.

Fulham looking to end 45-year winless run in Boxing Day clash with Chelsea
Fulham will attempt to end a 45-year winless run when they face West London neighbours Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
Marco Silva's side have put together a five-game unbeaten run since they fell to a heavy 4-1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers on November 23.
However, they have only recorded one victory in that period, having been involved in draws against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton.
The Cottagers played out a goalless affair in Sunday's home clash with basement side Southampton, leaving them in ninth position in the Premier League table and three points adrift of fifth-placed Bournemouth.
Fulham will be back in action on Boxing Day when they take on a Chelsea side that have avoided defeat in each of their previous nine Premier League matches.
Fulham looking to end 45-year wait in Chelsea clash
The Cottagers will have aspirations of following in the footsteps of Manchester Citt and Liverpool by becoming the third team to beat Chelsea in the Premier League this season.
For that to happen, Fulham will have to beat their West London neighbours in an away game for the first time since they recorded a 2-0 victory in October 1979.
In the 45 years since that result, the Cottagers have drawn eight and lost 14 of their 22 competitive away games against Chelsea.
Fulham have also failed to score in any of their last six trips to Stamford Bridge since Clint Dempsey found the net in a 1-1 draw on Boxing Day 2011.
Thursday's visitors may at least be able to take some confidence from the fact that they have avoided defeat in six of their last seven Premier League games on Boxing Day.
However, the only defeat in that period took place in last season's Boxing Day clash against Bournemouth, conceding three goals without reply in a heavy defeat at the Vitality Stadium.
What is Fulham's latest injury news?
If they are to claim all three points against Chelsea, Fulham have to do it without the services of Kenny Tete, Reiss Nelson and Harrison Reed.
Emile Smith Rowe is a doubt after sitting out the draw with Southampton, while it is also unclear whether Sander Berge will be ready for the West London derby.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Silva said: "Sander took a big knock on his ankle, and we need to keep assessing - we will make a decision tomorrow.
"Emile is doing his work, let's see whether he will be ready for Chelsea or Bournemouth.
However, Silva is hopeful that midfielder Sasa Lukic will shake off a knock to play a role in Thursday's meeting with Enzo Maresca's side.
Andreas Pereira is set to return to the matchday squad after serving a one-match suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.

Pedro Neto dropped, Joao Felix starts - Chelsea lineups Enzo Maresca needs to choose vs Fulham
Chelsea welcome Fulham to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day as the Blues look to reduce the gap to Premier League leaders Liverpool with three points against their neighbours
Chelsea are in action on Boxing Day as they welcome west London neighbours Fulham to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have the opportunity to go within one point of Liverpool, with the table-topping Reds taking on Leicester City at Anfield a few hours after. As Liverpool found out recently, though, Fulham are a very strong side that can cause anyone problems on their day.
Enzo Maresca will recognise there can be no complacency from his players and that will be the overriding message to his squad in the coming days. After the goalless draw with Everton at the weekend, will the Chelsea head coach make many changes to his side?
Well, below, Bobby Vincent and Lee Wilmot discuss and debate what they would do if they were in Maresca's shoes...
Bobby Vincent
Robert Sanchez was actually really good on Sunday. I'm usually so critical of the Spanish goalkeeper, but I'll give him his flowers for what was a really strong performance. So, he can start in goal, of course.
Personally, I would move Malo Gusto back to right-back and drop Axel Disasi. Marc Cucurella is eligible again and he can play left-back with Tosin Adarabioyo and Levi Colwill starting in the centre of the Blues' back-four.
Even if Romeo Lavia is fit enough to take part, it may be sensible for Maresca to use him from the bench, if at all. In front of him, I would make one change - and it might surprise some of you.
Jadon Sancho to come out of the side. Not because he has been playing badly, actually the opposite, but simply to give him a rest and allow Joao Felix to get some minutes on the left-hand side. Then, Pedro Neto on the right wing, Cole Palmer in the No.10 and Nicolas Jackson leading the line.
Bobby's team: Sanchez; Gusto, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Felix; Jackson.
Lee Wilmot
It looks like Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo have built up a good partnership at the back and I'd go with those two again at centre-back. The full-backs should be Malo Gusto on the right and Marc Cucurella on the left.
In midfield, Romeo Lavia could be back, but there's no need to rush him with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in good form. Ahead of them Cole Palmer obviously sits in the No.10 role - who else would you want?
Who plays either side of him is probably the most intriguing question. I think I'd be inclined to play Jadon Sancho on one side, with Noni Madueke on the other. Nicolas Jackson may have blanked against Everton, but he's the main man in the Premier League and starts up top, with Christopher Nkunku ready on the bench if needed.
Lee's team: Sanchez; Gusto, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.

Chelsea vs Fulham: Preview and PredictionEnzo Maresca's Chelsea will look to return to winning ways when they host Fulham on Boxing Day after dropping points last time out. While Enzo Maresca continues to insist that Chelsea are not a part of the Premier League title race, they are the team that is closest to Liverpool at this stage, and a win against Fulham will ensure they stay within touching distance.
The Blues are second on the points table, with 35 points out of their 17 outings. They are four points behind the Premier League leaders, who also have a game in hand. Chelsea's five-match winning streak in the Premier League came to an end last time out as they played out a frustrating goalless draw against Everton.
Chelsea were not clinical in the final third, and it cost them two important points ahead of the visit of Fulham. So, Maresca's charges will be eager to return to winning ways and given the kind of form the hosts have been in, the Cottagers will find it difficult to stop them.
Fulham are ninth on the table with 25 points in 17 outings. While they have been unbeaten in their last five league games, four of those fixtures have ended in a stalemate. The away side are heading into this fixture on the back of a 0-0 draw against Southampton, and they will have to punch above their weight to get something out of this one. The Hard Tackle takes a close look at both teams and tries to predict the tactics they could put to use.
Team News & TacticsChelseaThe Blues will remain without the services of Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chelsea do have a boost, as Marc Cucurella is back from suspension. While Romeo Lavia is closing in on a return, this fixture against Fulham has come a touch too early for him.
Chelsea will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, where Robert Sanchez will take charge between the sticks. Malo Gusto and Cucurella will be the full-backs, while Tosin Adarabioyo and Levi Colwill will feature in the heart of the defence.
In the centre of the park, Enzo Fernandez will partner with Moises Caicedo. The duo will look to protect the backline and control the tempo of the game. Cole Palmer will continue in the no. 10 role, with Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke stationed on the flanks. Nicolas Jackson will continue to lead the line for Chelsea against Fulham.
Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; Gusto, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Enzo, Caicedo; Pedro Neto, Palmer, Madueke; Jackson

FulhamThe Cottagers will remain without the services of Sasa Lukic, Sander Berge, Kenny Tete, and Reiss Nelson. Meanwhile, Emile Smith Rowe's availability is also a doubt after he missed their last outing because of a leg injury.
Fulham do have a boost ahead of the game against Chelsea, as Andreas Pereira is back available after serving a suspension last time out. The visitors will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, where Bernd Leno will be in goal. Timothy Castagne and Antonee Robinson will be the full-backs, while Joachim Andersen will partner Calvin Bassey in the heart of the defence.
Pereira, Tom Cairney, and Alex Iwobi will form the midfield trifecta. They will look to ensure that Chelsea midfielders do not end up dictating the pace of the game and Palmer does not have too much free space to do damage. Adama Traore and Harry Wilson will feature on the flanks, while Raul Jimenez will lead the line for Fulham.
Probable Lineup (4-3-3): Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Cairney, Pereira, Iwobi; Wilson, Jimenez, Adama Traore

Key Stats Chelsea have won 52 out of the 91 matches against Fulham.
The Blues are unbeaten in their last 19 home games against the Cottagers in the league.
Marco Silva's team have only won two out of their last 34 English top-flight games against Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca's team have lost two out of their last three Boxing Day games in the Premier League.
The Blues have only won two out of their last 11 London derbies on Boxing Day.
Player to WatchCole Palmer
Palmer is the one running the show at Chelsea. He has been their X-factor player since joining them in the summer of 2023. The Englishman has 11 goals and six assists in his 17 league outings and it won't be much of a surprise if he adds to his tally against the Cottagers and ends up being the difference between the two teams.
PredictionChelsea 3-1 FulhamThe Blues did drop points in their last outing but in general, they have been a force to reckon with in the 2024/25 season. The Cottagers will surely try to put up a fight but they might not be able to stand in their way. The individual quality that Chelsea have could do the trick for them against Fulham. The Hard Tackle predicts a 3-1 win for Enzo Maresca and his charges.

Fulham thrive among big spenders by giving players second chance to shine
Only two miles separate Stamford Bridge and Craven Cottage but Chelsea and Fulham inhabit different worlds. It is a one-sided rivalry – Fulham have finished above their west London neighbours once in the past 41 years – and there are few similarities in the way the clubs go about their business.
The contrast when it comes to recruitment is striking. While Chelsea's owners, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, have invested more than £1bn in their unique model of buying promising young players on long and heavily incentivised contracts, Fulham have used their smaller budget to implement an unglamorous approach that nonetheless has them set to enjoy another season making a lot out of a little.
Marco Silva's side, unbeaten in five matches after last Sunday's draw at home to Southampton, are six points off the top four and a push for European qualification should not be discounted. Fulham, who have established themselves as a Premier League force since promotion in 2022, are a match for anyone these days. They attack with elan, are well coached and are rarely cowed by wealthier opponents. They have drawn with Arsenal and Liverpool this month and, although they are winless at Stamford Bridge since 1979, they will fancy their chances of leaving another mark on the title race when they visit Chelsea on Boxing Day afternoon.
However, it is unlikely Chelsea are going to look at Fulham and wonder how they do it. There is nothing revolutionary to copy here. Chelsea are focused on data and have tapped heavily into the Brighton mainframe, luring a host of key personnel from the Amex Stadium, but it is hard to see why they would ever want to do the same to Fulham.
The beauty of the Fulham project is simple: there is no project. This is less an incredible scouting journey, more a triumph of shrewdness, expert bargain-hunting and intelligent coaching. Not for Fulham the search for unpolished young gems hiding in European leagues. Instead they have tended to go for the tried and trusted, often spending relatively modest sums on players deemed surplus to requirements by other Premier League sides, leaving Silva to construct a team made up of individuals who tend to arrive with much to prove.
The numbers are revealing. Of the 21 players signed by Fulham since promotion, 15 had Premier League experience and one – the Nigeria centre-back Calvin Bassey – had played in the Scottish Premiership. This is a clear strategy and it is striking that Silva is not afraid to bring in players with plenty of miles on the clock and in need of a bit of love and attention.
Sander Berge and Timothy Castagne arrived after respective relegations with Burnley and Leicester. Raúl Jiménez, 33, and Adama Traoré, 28, had fizzled out before leaving Wolves. There were few tears at West Ham when Issa Diop, the 27-year-old French centre-back, departed. Alex Iwobi, who struggled for consistency after leaving Arsenal for Everton, has found a new lease of life since joining Fulham. Bernd Leno, formerly of Arsenal, is a solid No 1.
There is a home for everyone. Even Emile Smith Rowe falls into the discard category. No longer wanted by Arsenal, the 24-year-old attacker joined Fulham for £27m last summer and has shown signs of the form that brought him an England debut in 2021.
Do not let the number of creative players in Fulham's ranks fool you into thinking they are a soft touch, though. They are feisty and wily under Silva. Perhaps it is why they were able to match Arsenal's physicality in their 1-1 draw. Antonee Robinson, one of the division's best left-backs, dealt well with Bukayo Saka. Traoré's strength was an asset at defensive set pieces.
Of course, there are limitations to Fulham's approach. If players are not quite of the standard required for the very top, there will be times when they mistakes at key moments. Fulham play neat, intelligent football and know how to create chances but they can lack ruthlessness. They should have won at Tottenham this month, only to draw 1-1, and squandered leads in defeats by Aston Villa and Manchester City. Better finishing could have had them rubbing shoulders with fourth-placed Nottingham Forest, who were beaten 1-0 by Fulham in September.
Still, Chelsea will not underestimate Fulham's threat. This is another test for Chelsea, who remain in the title race despite Enzo Maresca's repeated claims to the contrary. They were not downhearted after their goalless draw at Everton on Sunday, even though it left them four points behind the leaders, Liverpool, and will expect to get back to winning ways. Maresca has more than enough in attack to down Fulham. Chelsea's aims are lofty and their vision is beginning to come together. The young talent is clicking and Maresca's authority is growing. Yet there is more than one way to measure success and Fulham are comfortable with commanding less attention than their moneyed neighbours.

Godo delighted with 'wonderful' Premier League debut
Winger Martial Godo was delighted with 'a wonderful experience' after making his Premier League debut during Sunday's stalemate with Southampton.
The England under-20 international came on for Tom Cairney and put together an encouraging cameo just two years after joining Fulham's academy from non-league Margate. Godo, who spent last season on loan at League One Wigan Athletic, told FFCTV:
"A wonderful experience playing in the Premier League, one of the best leagues in the world – very intense, of course back and forth, but very enjoyable none the less. Hopefully, many more to come!
About two and a half years ago, I was playing in non-league with Margate. I joined Fulham in the summer and done one year in the academy. That was good because I was still learning and growing ... I've never been in the academy system. Then I went on loan to Wigan. That's when I kicked off. It was lovely out there. I met some great people there who helped me and now I'm here in the Prem, with a great team, great staff and a lovely club.
Since I joined, I've been training with the lads. They've always welcomed me with open arms, even the gaffer who has put so much trust and support into me. I've grown massively, not just on the pitch but off the pitch as well. I just try to take every game as it comes, keep working hard and try to fulfil my potential."

Iwobi opens pop-up shop to help struggles families
Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has opened up a pop-up shop in Canning Town to support struggling families through at Christmas.
The Nigerian international's 'Alexpress' shop provides vulnerable residents of his hometown with the essentials they require free of charge. The pop-up has a wide array of stock to cater for those who might be struggling – with turkeys available too.
Iwobi told the BBC:
"This is where I was raised for my primary school education. Families come in, select drinks, and stuff for the house. By the end of it, there is a turkey. It's a minimart to give out food to families that are not able to get food for Christmas. If I can help them celebrate Christmas, why not?"
Iwobi emphasized how his upbringing shaped his values. "Just seeing how my parents are—I have always seen them give back. With them as my role models, I feel like, whether in the position I am today or a lesser position, I would try my best to give back and help the less fortunate and people who are not able to eat," he added.

Chelsea team newsChelsea will welcome left-back Marc Cucurella into the starting lineup after the Spaniard served his suspension, with Malo Gusto likely to return to the right side of defence and Axel Disasi potentially dropping to the bench.
Reece James has been back in partial training recently but is not yet nearing a return from his hamstring injury, meaning he will remain on the sidelines alongside centre-back duo Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile.
Romeo Lavia will hope to make the bench but there will be no Mykhailo Mudryk, who has been provisionally suspended after a positive doping test.

Fulham team newsFulham will also welcome a big name back from suspension as Andreas Pereira is free to start at the top of midfield once again.
Both Sander Berge and Sasa Lukic limped off injured last time out against Southampton and may not recover in time for this one. Kenny Tete, Harrison Reed and Reiss Nelson are all expected to miss out.

Chelsea vs Fulham score predictionFulham have proven to be a tough test for the Premier League's elite recently and the Cottagers will likely cause the same sort of problems for Chelsea, whose stalemate with Everton hints at a vulnerability against a stubborn defence.
Unlike Everton, however, Fulham have been really going for it in their last few games, scoring once against Arsenal and putting two past Liverpool. With Chelsea's defence not at its strongest, there could be some joy for Marco Silva's side.
Expect a gritty clash between two rivals who may be forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

There is one clear reason why Enzo Maresca must start Pedro Neto for Chelsea against Fulham
Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways this afternoon when they welcome local rivals Fulham to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues had been on a winning run of eight games in all competitions under Enzo Maresca before they were halted in their tracks by Everton last time out.
The boss had to get a bit creative with his team selection for the trip to Goodison Park, with Malo Gusto starting at left-back and Axel Disasi on the right.
The usual headache over who starts in the wide areas for the Blues saw the Italian leave Noni Madueke out of his starting side last time out, in favour of Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho.
Chelsea need Pedro Neto to start to deal with Antonee Robinson
The Portuguese international was coming back into the side after serving a suspension for picking up too many yellow cards this season.
However, his work-rate against the Toffees was crucial, especially when it came to protecting Disasi from the threat of the dangerous Iliman Ndiaye. Jason Cundy described Neto's performance as 'brilliant'.
Fulham's biggest threat in this afternoon's fixture is going to be down the same side, however this time from left-back Antonee Robinson.
The American has six assists so far this season, and has created 20 chances in the Premier League.
He has also clocked a high speed of 35.1kph this season, a total very few in the top flight can match.
Is Pedro Neto Chelsea's fastest player?
One of those is Neto though. He has been recorded at 35.4kph this season, a figure higher than any other Chelsea player including Mykhailo Mudryk.
According to SpeedSBD, Madueke has only reached a top speed of 28.7, and would therefore find it far more difficult to track back with Robinson, particularly on the fast break.
Leaving Madueke out of the side will take out a bit of their direct attacking threat. The England international has five goals and three assists to his name in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea have more than enough attacking talent to win the game though, and should also be taking into account their defensive duties against a dangerous opponent.
For this reason, Neto is going to be crucial at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Fulham's record against the Premier League's top six clubs this season ahead of Boxing Day clash with ChelseaChelsea return to action on Boxing Day with a showdown against local rivals Fulham at Stamford Bridge.Chelsea host their West London neighbours on Thursday afternoon in a festive cracker, which is a match up between two sides exceeding expectations in the Premier League this season.
For the Blues, they currently sit second in the division table going into the league clash at home to Fulham. Enzo Maresca's side will temporarily close the gap to leaders Liverpool to just a point with a victory today, though.
Chelsea supporters are calling for Joao Felix to start versus Fulham, but let's see if the manager shakes things up during a busy schedule.
Meanwhile, Fulham sit ninth in the Premier League right now, only two points behind Manchester City in seventh.
Fulham record vs the Premier League's big six clubs this seasonFulham, who play some great football under Marco Silva's management, are an established top-flight club. The Cottagers have the quality within their ranks to go toe to toe with any opponent, too.
As Chelsea prepare to face Fulham on Boxing Day, here is a look at how they've fared in their league fixtures versus the Premier League's 'top six' clubs this season:
Manchester United 1-0 Fulham (16 August)
Manchester City 3-2 Fulham (5 October)
Tottenham 1-1 Fulham (1 December)
Fulham 1-1 Arsenal (8 December)
Liverpool 2-2 Fulham (14 December)
If Chelsea supporters are expecting an easy fixture at Fulham, it may be time to rethink that. They deserve big respect for going unbeaten this month in league clashes with Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs.
Chelsea's predicted line-up against Fulham includes a few changes from the weekend's goalless draw with Everton. You'd suspect they'll need to improve on that performance to get three points on Boxing Day.
Who are the key Fulham threats for Chelsea to watch out for?Not only are Fulham a well-organised side under Silva, but they've also got a few really talented footballers.

Fulham boss Marco Silva says Chelsea actually have a really 'quality player' in their ranks
Both Marco Silva and Enzo Maresca will be determined to hand Fulham and Chelsea fans respectively a Christmas present as the two sides meet each other on Boxing Day.
Chelsea are overwhelming favourites heading into the fixture, especially given the fact that the game is at Stamford Bridge.
Furthermore, Enzo Maresca will be hoping that the Blues can bounce back after their 0-0 draw against Everton.
Chelsea were rather flat against Sean Dyche's side and on the day, Robert Sanchez and Tosin Adarabioyo perhaps saved the visitors' blushes at Goodison Park.
Adarabioyo has a chance to reunite with his former club Fulham on Thursday.
Ahead of the contest, Marco Silva was quizzed about the Englishman.
Marco Silva hails "quality" Tosin Abarabioyo ahead of Chelsea vs Fulham on Boxing Day
The Fulham boss lauded Adarabioyo's performances in a Chelsea shirt while also praising his character during his latest press conference. Eddie Howe was surprised Adarabioyo signed for Chelsea considering he had a face-to-face meeting with him about a move to Newcastle United, with the defender making a last-minute move to Enzo Maresca's side.
Marco Silva said via BeanymanSports2: "He was so important in three seasons with us. I think he did improve really and it's nice to see him. It's going to be nice to see him there of course during the game, he's going to try to win, we're going to try to win as well."
"But [he] was a good professional, a good lad, always open to learn and a quality player and because he's a quality a player is the reason why he's playing for Chelsea and doing so well, that's it, it's going to be a good thing."
Adarabioyo rejected Manchester United as he had already given his word to Enzo Maresca about putting pen to paper for Chelsea.
Chelsea initially questioned Tosin Adarabioyo transfer
A claim emerged in September that Chelsea questioned why they signed Adarabioyo after he was named on the bench in their first three Premier League games.
The Blues are believed to have wondered why they completed a deal for the former Manchester City centre-back but went on to loan Trevoh Chalobah out to Crystal Palace.
But in their last four league outings, Adarabioyo has started.
It seems like the 25-year-old is finding his feet at Chelsea and after his commanding display at the heart of the defence against Everton, he seems likely to start against Fulham as well.
Enzo Maresca will especially value Adarabioyo if he keeps up his consistency and proves to be a reliable deputy in Wesley Fofana's injury-enforced absence.

Chelsea stars hint at starting midfield for Fulham as double Enzo Maresca decision made
Chelsea return to Premier League action with a traditional Boxing Day fixture at Stamford Bridge against Fulham
Two Chelsea stars have hinted at the starting midfield partnership Enzo Maresca will favour this afternoon when the Blues host west London neighbours Fulham in the Premier League.
Marco Silva's side are making the short trip across the city to take on their fierce rivals on what will be an action-packed day of sport on Boxing Day. For Chelsea, the hope will be that they can put one over Fulham to continue their push towards challenging table-topping Liverpool this season.
Before Christmas, the Blues lost ground to Arne Slot's pace-setters after being held to a 0-0 draw by Everton. As for Liverpool, meanwhile, they were impressive as they dispatched Tottenham Hotspur 6-3 in north London.
With a victory vital to heap pressure on the leaders - ahead of their match this evening against Leicester City - all eyes are on Maresca to see who he will choose to trust against Fulham. According to social media, it appears that the Italian will opt to start the same midfield pivot which played last time out at Goodison Park.
Indeed, both Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo posted match graphics to their Instagram profiles on Christmas Day, signposting fans to the action on Thursday. While not a guarantee that either man will be playing, these posts are often used by players to flag to family and friends that they will be in the team for the upcoming game.
The Fernandez and Caicedo partnership has been trusted by Maresca in recent Premier League matches. The pair have been played alongside each other in the past two Premier League games.

Chelsea v Fulham: Predicted Blues line-up for West London derby
Fulham make the short trip to face neighbours Chelsea in a West London derby ion Thursday afternoon.
Enzo Maresca's Blues have enjoyed a superb season so far and currently sit second in the Premier League table, four points behind leaders Liverpool.
Fulham, meanwhile, have also impressed and occupy ninth place having won six of their 17 games so far.
Here, we predict the XI that Maresca will select for the visit of the Cottagers.
Goalkeeper
Robert Sanchez has started 16 of Chelsea's 17 league games so far this season, and he is in line to start on Thursday. The Spaniard has been criticised for some of his performances this term, but he produced a number of superb saves during the Blues' goalless draw against Everton last time out.
Defenders
At right-back, Malo Gusto is set to start in the absence of club captain Reece James. The Frenchman has been hugely impressive since joining the Blues last summer, but he still awaits his first goal for the club.
In the centre of defence, Levi Colwill could be partnered by Tosin Adarabioyo, who started against the Toffees in their last game and impressed. Colwill has started 16 of Chelsea's 17 league games this season, while Tosin has stepped in to replace the injured Wesley Fofana in recent weeks.
Marc Cucurella has scored in each of his last two games – against Brentford and Shamrock Rovers – but missed the Everton match due to suspension after being sent off against the Toffees. He also donned the captain's armband in the latter stages of the win against Shamrock, and appears to be quickly becoming a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge.
Midfielders
In midfield, Romeo Lavia has been ruled out of the game, but Moises Caicedo could line up alongside Enzo Fernandez. Caicedo has been used at right-back when out of possession in recent weeks, but he is set to return to midfield for the visit of the Whites. Fernandez, meanwhile, has scored three times and provided seven assists in his last eight games across all competitions, captaining the Blues in the last six league matches.
Talisman Cole Palmer will once again start in an advanced midfield role, where he will hope to add to his combined tally of 17 goals and assists in as many Premier League games this term.
Forwards
In attack, Noni Madueke could start on the right. The Englishman has scored and provided three assists in his last five league games, and he will hope to get on the scoresheet again amid ongoing competition for the starting spot on the right of Maresca's attack.
Through the middle, Nicolas Jackson is in line to start once again. His next goal will be his tenth in the competition this term.
On the left, Pedro Neto is in line to start in the absence of the suspended Mykhaylo Mudryk. Jadon Sancho will also be available, but may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Strange to hear Marco speaking so highly about Tosin given his refusal to sign a new contract and what a lot of Fulham fans perceived to be a poor attitude whilst playing for us. The Fulham faithful are making their feelings about him known whenever he touches the ball!
