Leicester City vs. Fulham: Head-to-head record and past meetings
Leicester City will endeavour to boost their Premier League survival hopes when they welcome Fulham to the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's side have suffered defeat in each of their last six league games, most recently losing 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, and they sit 19th in the table, two points adrift of safety.

Fulham, meanwhile, saw their nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions ended by West Ham United on Tuesday, losing 3-2 at the London Stadium, and Marco Silva's men currently sit 10th in the table, only five points behind the top seven.

Here, Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at the head-to-head record and previous meetings between the two sides.

Head-to-head record
Previous meetings: 89
Leicester wins: 29
Draws: 17
Fulham wins: 43

Leicester City and Fulham have faced each other a total of 89 times across all competitions, with the Cottagers comfortably leading the head-to-head record having posted 43 wins to the Foxes' 19, while there have also been 17 draws between these two teams.

The very first meeting between these two sides took place back in December 1907 when Fulham won 3-2 away from home in the old Division Two. In fact, the Cottagers won seven of their first eight meetings with Leicester and scored at least two goals in all of them.

Leicester and Fulham played each other regularly in the old Division Two and then the old Division One between the early 1910s and early 1980s, with the Cottagers winning 32 and drawing 11 of their 65 league encounters during that period.

In the Premier League era (since 1992-93), Leicester and Fulham have only butted heads 11 times in the top flight and a further four times in domestic cup competitions, with the Foxes coming out on top on only three occasions.

Leicester failed to win any of their first five Premier League meetings with Fulham (D3 L2) before securing a 3-1 home victory in March 2019. Since then, the Cottagers have won four of their last five top-flight encounters, including each of their last three.

Fulham won 5-3 at home to Leicester in May 2023 - one of five matches when they have scored five goals against the Foxes - while their most recent win in this fixture was a 2-1 home success in August 2024.

Paul Merson can only see one winner with his prediction for Leicester City vs Fulham
Leicester City will be looking to stop the rot when they host Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Leicester's 2-0 loss against Crystal Palace on Wednesday extended their current loss streak to six matches, seeing them remain in the bottom three.

Ruud van Nistelrooy wasn't impressed with Leicester in the game, claiming they weren't good enough as Jamie Vardy missed a few golden chances to score.

The Foxes must now erase their recent form and focus on their clash against a Fulham side who are 10th but winless in three league games.

The Cottagers are having a brilliant season under Marco Silva as a solid run of form could see them gatecrash the European places.

Paul Merson predicts Fulham to beat Leicester City
Ahead of the clash, former Arsenal forward Paul Merson has issued his prediction.

Last time out, Merson tipped Leicester to beat Crystal Palace but after the Eagles secured a 2-0 win, the 56-year-old has quickly changed his tune.

Now, in his latest prediction for Sportskeeda, the well-renowned pundit is backing Fulham to win 'comfortably' on Saturday and get their European hopes back on track.

"Nothing but a Fulham win here because Leicester cannot win a football match at the moment!" Merson exclaimed.

"I thought Fulham were really unlucky against West Ham, they had plenty of chances but still ended up losing that game. I don't see how they won't score against Leicester, they have too much quality to not do that.

"Leicester have now lost six league games in a row and in that run, they haven't shown enough for us to think it won't be seven this weekend! I'm backing Fulham to win comfortably here."

Leicester's H2H record vs Fulham
Many will agree with Merson and predict an easy three points for the visitors, with the overall history of the fixture going in Fulham's favour.

The Foxes have won 29 games to the Cottagers 43 while the other 17 games have ended in draws.

Recent history is on Fulham's side, too, with the Londoners winning four of their last five games in the top flight, most recently the 2-1 victory at Craven Cottage in August.

The last time Leicester beat Saturday's opponents was in February 2021 as strikes from Kelechi Iheanacho and James Justin clinched a 2-0 win.

Van Nistelrooy can only pray for a similar outcome this weekend as his side aims to win for the first time in eight attempts.

Before The Whistle: Leicester City v Fulham

We begin again at the King Power Stadium.

Our nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end against West Ham, but we have the chance to put it right against bottom-of-the-table Leicester, who just suffered their sixth defeat in a row.

You can say what you like about jinxing it, or it being Fulhamish that we'll fall to the Foxes on Saturday, but the fact is that we should head to the East Midlands and return with three points. Anything less is a disappointment.

There haven't been many moments of disappointment this term, but Tuesday night at the London Stadium certainly was. Nevertheless, all thoughts now turn to Saturday and the imminent return of Sander Berge, who's been missed in recent games. Slotting back in alongside Sasa Lukic could mean a return to the bench for Andreas Pereira, with Smith Rowe in the 10.

Aside from that, it'll probably be largely the same XI as we fielded in East London, as we look to avenge our first loss since November.

There aren't many better opportunities in the Premier League to do that than this. You Whites.

Wigan Athletic: The 12th Man - 'This could be a valuable missing piece of the Wigan Athletic jigsaw...'
Our panel of Latics experts reflect on FA Cup progression in midweek ahead of this weekend's long trip down to Stevenage...when vital league points will be up for grabs...

Alan Rogers:
After the announcements regarding new signings in recent days, I definitely won't be complaining about the incoming players. Because in particular, I had been calling out for a dominant leader figure who would fight and scrap right through to the end of each game. We'd also been pleading for a target man up front. So the signings of Jon Mellish and Will Goodwin seem to fit the bill...and that's without even bringing our other two signings into consideration. However, I have to say that, sadly, the arrival of Jon Mellish has perhaps cost me a friendship, and also the dissolution of a horse racing partnership!

I'll try to explain. I know that, to all of us who visit the Brick each home game, the Latics are a massive part of our lives. This also applies to a lot of people who maybe cannot get to the games any more. But as I've got older, I've tried to develop other interests that help distract me occasionally from an all-consuming 'interest' in Wigan Athletic. One of these interests is horse racing and, over the years, I've made new friends and experienced many highs and lows in the equine world. One of these good friends is a Carlisle season ticket holder and last week, within seconds of the Mellish announcement, I messaged him and asked him what kind of player Mellish is? My (former) mate replied immediately and waxed lyrical about Jon. 'A leader, a warrior, a massive part of Carlisle United' were among just a few of the tributes he paid. Then, abruptly, he asked me why I wanted to know...he really hoped Wigan weren't interested. Anyway, I sent him a copy of the announcement...and he hasn't spoken to me since! I'm sure I'll talk him round eventually, but he is someone whose opinion I really value, so the simple fact he is so genuinely upset makes me think Mellish could be a valuable missing piece of the Wigan Athletic jigsaw.

Hopefully, over the coming weeks, the new signings will successfully integrate and, with some injuries also clearing up, well perhaps the future is brighter than some of the doom merchants have been claiming. But back in the real world, this week has been all about the FA Cup. After the terrible weather last week, Saturday's game at Mansfield was put back to Tuesday night. This caused me a big problem, because we were due to meet old work colleagues for a long-awaited reunion. We'd already rescheduled twice so I couldn't cancel again and, to make matters worse, we were meeting in the shadow of the Toughsheet Stadium! But all's well that ends well...a good meal and a great result sent me home happy. So I'd missed the game, but the result is obviously the most important thing. But when I was trying to catch up with the highlights later that night, the performance of Thelo Aasgaard obviously stood out. His contribution was so pleasing on so many levels, but particularly as a response to one or two anonymous 'negative' comments from social media earlier in the season.

However, there's usually a downside to most things at Wigan Athletic, and the big worry is that Thelo's performances in recent weeks can't fail to be recognised higher up the food chain. I'm dreading the day when I get a message from a mate who supports a Championship side - or higher - asking me what I think about Thelo Aasgaard. Karma?

For the third time in four seasons, we got to witness a Thelo Aasgaard screamer in the third round of the FA Cup. His looping stoppage-time wonder goal against Blackburn in 2022 signified a 'coming out' party in the middle of a promotion campaign, while his impressive volley against Luton in a 2023 replay marked one of the few highlights from Kolo Toure's short time in charge at the DW. The ultimate narrative behind Thelo's 54th-minute curling effort into the top left corner at Mansfield still remains to be told. However, moments after completing his brace on Tuesday evening, many fans took to social media to declare Thelo leaving Latics during this window was all-but a done deal. He had performed too well on a national stage for the club to hold onto him for the next few weeks.

The realisation added a bittersweet ambience to our 2-0 triumph at Field Mill. Yet, there was more to celebrate than not at full-time, as our first victory of 2025 delivered a handsome payday and a February date with Fulham at the Brick. The abundance of storylines centered around the fourth-round clash will create quite a bit of excitement in the coming weeks, even before you introduce the fact Fulham are a thriving Premier League side who currently sit above the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the league table.

However, before we look too far ahead to our next cup tie, we must remember there is work to do within our own division over the coming weeks. Our next opponents, Stevenage, will be just as eager as us to scrap their way out of the league's lower mid-table over this next stretch of fixtures. They currently sit four points and three spots above us in 14th position, having only lost one of their last eight fixtures. Our first clash at the Brick back in late September produced very few scoring chances between the two teams and ended in a scoreless draw. Considering Stevenage have allowed the fourth-lowest number of goals in the division (20) and Latics only 23, the odds of a tight, low-scoring affair at Broadhall Way have to be quite high.

Nonetheless, we proved on Tuesday how good we can be away from home, when we withstand an early storm from our opponents and start the second half with gusto. This weekend could give us our first look at new arrival Jon Mellish from Carlisle and, possibly, an extended look at other new signees, Joe Hungbo and Will Goodwin. The ebb and flow of a nine-month season will give us numerous high and low moments, so it's important to bask in the glory of the good times as they come and go. At the moment, our confidence should be high following an important win away from home accompanied by a clean sheet. If we do our part to help the lads keep the momentum going over the next five fixtures, we could generate just the right amount of magic to continue our FA Cup dreams next month. Up the Tics!

Lowey:
Think we all witnessed a miracle in Wigan this week...we signed a player that seemingly generated zero negativity! Even stranger that the player is signing on the back of a relegation and from the current worst team in the Football League. Amazing! The January transfer window, in my opinion, couldn't have gone better thus far, but the big test is still to come. Can we keep hold of Sam Tickle and Thelo Aasgaard? Keeping the latter certainly will not have got any easier by his two-goal heroics in the FA Cup win at Mansfield, which sets up a very exciting draw against Premier League Fulham and the 'Return of the Jedi' in Antonee Robinson. May the force be with us going forward!

Tony Moon:
Life's comparatively rosey in Latics World at the moment. More points (and decent performances) than we might have expected against three of the top six, (well, top four now) coupled with a decent away win in the FA Cup to a team in the top 10, which earned us a home tie against a Premier League team that gives us a chance of a giant(ish)-killing. What's there to moan about? (Yes, of course those last words are famous, and yes, of course I'll be eating them by Saturday tea-time). With a trip to Stevenage, who are just above us in the table, followed by three teams currently below us, by the end of January, we might be looking at a very comfortable run-in to the end of the season. I'm not going to say we'd be looking at a push for the play offs, because personally I'm not sure we've got the team - and certainly, squad - to cope with the Championship if we were successful... Though I exclude Sam Tickle, Jason Kerr, Will Aimson and Thelo Aasgaard from that. But hey, no point getting giddy. There's still plenty of work to do, and plenty of opportunity for things to go the wrong way. Up the capable-of-cocking-things-up-at-any-point Tics!

Sean Livesey:
A midweek trip to deepest Nottinghamshire isn't usually the way I'd plan on spending a Tuesday in January but, thanks to last week's second Ice Age, a trip to Mansfield became a necessity. It was one of those nights where an earlier-in-the-season-Wigan-Athletic may well have crumbled. Indeed, what happened when we played Mansfield at home. That night we were the better team for much of the game, but struggled to impose ourselves, like we have on numerous occasions this season. But the difference now is this side is really starting to come together. Even with the horrific injury list which has seen us lose three first-choice central midfielders, two first-choice left-backs and our first-choice right-winger. Some may say Latics rode their luck in the first half, certainly for the first 20 minutes or so. But after that, we grew into the game, the second part of the first half was all Latics, and they continued that in the second period.

What more can be said about Thelo Aasgaard that hasn't already been said? Along with Sam Tickle, he's battling it out for the most impressive product to be produced by the Academy in recent years. Some may have questioned his consistency at the start of the season, but by goodness he's showing that now. His header showed a physicality and power to his game that wasn't there previously, but the second was absolutely top drawer. After that, it was a case of Latics seeing out the match, and they did that perfectly with a performance that was professional with a capital 'P'. The FA Cup means so much to this club, and it showed on Tuesday evening. Let's not forget Mansfield have been one of the form teams in the league this season. Nigel Clough has them drilled well, and they've taken some big scalps this season. Thankfully, though, not us this time, and we left Lee Anderson country with the bragging rights on the return trip to Red Rose Lancashire.

So it's on to round four. Fulham at home would have been great if it had been reversed...a Saturday afternoon by the Thames would have been a perfect reward for those putting in the hard miles across the country this season. But then again, we've a poor record at Craven Cottage, so maybe we can have another of those famous FA Cup matches back in Wigan, ala 2018 perhaps.

A word to those coming into the side in midweek - Scott Smith and Jensen Weir definitely grew into the game, and Luke Robinson was excellent on his return to the side at left-back. Smith in particular has a lot of responsibility on those young shoulders at the minute, so much so that Shaun Maloney has indicated they'll be looking to strengthen that area in the transfer window, which wouldn't have been the case without the injuries. Some were predicting he would be moving on this month, but I hope that isn't the case. Equally, Will Goodwin was impressive when he came on, and certainly puts himself about.

So it's back to league action on Saturday and another long old away day at Stevenage. Last season saw the most ridiculous match at their place, with the referee handing out cards like it was Christmas. Much to the delight of Steve Evans - thankfully he's moved on now - but it won't be an easy match by any stretch. There's a run of games over the next month that we could really do in picking up points. We've faced some tough matches over the last month but, with us now taking on sides towards the lower reaches of the league, we really need to capitalise. Put in the effort we did on Tuesday night, and I don't see why we can't.

eicester City predicted XI vs Fulham as Ruud van Nistelrooy makes call that will shock the fans
It's been a depressing period for Leicester City supporters with very little shout-about, aside from seeing their first signing of the January window confirmed.

Leicester announced the arrival of Woyo Coulibaly from Parma moments before their clash against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The powerful right-back watched on, though, as Leicester fell to a 2-0 defeat against Palace, resulting in boos from the Foxes faithful.

Fans now feel Leicester will be relegated this season, and that was the resounding verdict at full-time after losing for a sixth game in a row.

Now, ahead of their clash against Fulham on Saturday, Ruud van Nistelrooy's men must pick themselves off the canvas and deliver a much-improved performance and result.

Leicester City team and injury news ahead of Fulham
The one positive heading into the game is that Coulibaly could make his debut against Fulham, with the 25-year-old being made available.

Van Nistelrooy has already praised Coulibaly following his arrival, handing supporters multiple reasons why he's perfectly suited to the Premier League.

In terms of injury news, the Leicester manager didn't pick up any fresh concerns on Wednesday, with only a few of his first-team stars out of action.

First-choice goalkeeper Mads Hermansen is still out but Van Nistelrooy is hopeful of his return soon, providing an update in his press conference.

"We don't have a date yet," van Nistelrooy said via Leicestershire Live. "It's a work in progress on his rehab. He's making small steps in the right direction at the moment. Hopefully some time next week, there can be an update on when he can be back."

Wilfred Ndidi (hamstring), Ricardo Pereira (hamstring) and Abdul Fatawu (knee) remain the only long-term absentees.

Leicester City predicted XI vs Fulham as Jamie Vardy dropped
Although Leicester are on a run of seven matches without a win, losing six in a row, only a few changes could be expected from the side that were beaten by Palace.

Jannik Vestergaard was shocking in defence in midweek, though he will perhaps keep his place in the lineup alongside Wout Faes.

Fans booed the decision to take off Facundo Buonanotte when they were losing 1-0 against Crystal Palace, with the Argentine keeping his place on the right.

However, the most controversial change he could make is dropping Jamie Vardy for Patson Daka. Vardy was wasteful on Wednesday night, failing to score with six shots, missing two big chances and making 43 touches.

Van Nistelrooy wanted Daka at PSV, and the Dutchman could use Vardy's recent barren run as an excuse to try out the £23m star and rest the 38-year-old.

Leicester predicted XI vs Fulham (4-2-3-1): Stolarczyk, Justin, Vestergaard, Faes, Kristiansen; Winks, Soumare; Buonanotte, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Daka.

Luca Ashby-Hammond returns to Fulham
Lucy Ashby-Hammond has returned to parent club Fulham following his loan spell at ME7.

Lucy Ashby-Hammond has returned to parent club Fulham following his loan spell at ME7.

The goalkeeper, 23, joined Gills in late August as cover for the injured Jake Turner, and made four appearances in all competitions. One of those was as a second-half substitute in a league game at home to Accrington Stanley in mid-October.

He has previously played for Aldershot and Notts County.

We thank Luca for his services while at MEMS Priestfield Stadium and wish him well for the future.

'Developments Are Expected Soon' In West Ham's Push For Striker Target
Developments regarding West Ham's talks to sign Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz this month are expected to take shape soon.

Graham Potter has been appointed this month after Julen Lopetegui struggled to pick a rhythm after a shaky first half of the season.

Jarrod Bowen, Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio's injuries have made the Hammers re-think their transfer strategy this month.

Even though they are interested in strengthening other positions, adding a striker has become very necessary as only Danny Ings is fit.

The Irons have been linked with multiple strikers of different profiles around Europe including some from the Premier League as well.

Fulham's Brazilian hitman Muniz is a player they have shown interest in and are in negotiations for now.

And according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, 'developments are expected soon' in the saga.

It has been suggested that the London club are looking to bring Muniz on loan with a £30m buy option at the end of it.

Now it remains to be seen if Fulham will be willing to let Muniz go before securing a replacement for him mid-season.

Everton, Fulham considering Milan van Ewijk move
Everton and Fulham are reportedly interested in signing 24-year-old Dutch full-back Milan van Ewijk from EFL Championship club Coventry City this month.

According to a report by ESPN Netherlands, Everton and Fulham are keen on signing Milan van Ewijk in the winter transfer window. The two Premier League clubs want to bolster their right-back berths this year, with AS Roma also eager to land the 24-year-old full-back from EFL Championship club Coventry City this month.

Who is Milan van Ewijk?
Milan van Ewijk has established himself as one of the best full-backs in the EFL Championship since joining Coventry City from Heerenveen in July 2023. A native of Amsterdam, the Dutchman spent his formative years in his homeland and graduated from the youth division at Excelsior Maassluis.

The 24-year-old has gone from strength to strength in the last 18 months, establishing himself as a mainstay at the back for Coventry City. The player has amassed over 2,500 minutes of game time across 30 appearances in all competitions this season, chipping in with two goals and one assist.

Meanwhile, van Ewijk's progress at Coventry City has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known Premier League clubs. Everton and Fulham are keen on signing the Dutch full-back from the EFL Championship club in the winter transfer window.

Premier League move on the horizon?
Everton's interest in Milan van Ewijk is understandable, although they do not need a new right-back in the winter transfer window. Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman are in the twilight of their careers, while Nathan Patterson has struggled with fitness issues at Everton. So, several candidates, including Kyle Walker-Peters, have emerged on the Toffees' radar, with van Ewijk also a viable target.

As for Fulham, the Cottagers are scouring the market for a right-back after losing Kenny Tete to a long-term injury. In addition, recent reports have linked Tete with Ajax. So, van Ewijk has emerged as a viable target for Fulham, and the Dutchman can compete with Timothy Castagne for the right-back berth.

Meanwhile, Everton and Fulham face stiff competition from AS Roma for the 24-year-old Coventry City full-back. It will be interesting to see where the Dutch defender lands if he leaves the EFL Championship club in the winter transfer window.

West Ham eyeing January move for Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz
West Ham United boss Graham Potter defeated Fulham by a 3-2 margin in his first Premier League match in charge of his new employers. The Hammers earned a vital win against Marco Silva's men but remain 13th in the league with a herculean task ahead if they are to finish the campaign at least in the top half of the standings.

The number nine position has caused a particularly worry at the London Stadium and led to Julen Lopetegui's downfall as well, as Niclas Fullkrug has been substandard since joining West Ham from Borussia Dortmund earlier this season whereas Michail Antonio's road accident is set to keep his out for the foreseeable future.

West Ham, who spent extensively on rebuilding their squad last summer, are willing to support Potter in the January transfer window with the former Chelsea boss making a striker's signing his top priority. Standard Sport has reported that he is keen on raiding London rivals Fulham this month by landing Rodrigo Muniz from them.

Muniz transfer on the cards
Rodrigo Muniz would be open to departing Craven Cottage as he has lost his place in the Fulham line-up to Raul Jimenez. The Brazilian forward will be looking for regular minutes and West Ham can offer him the playing field to feature on a consistent basis, in spite of his young age and relative lack of experience in a starting capacity.

Muniz's signing will not be easy, however, as Standard Sport's report has added that it would take a 'substantial offer' to price him away from Fulham or a loan for the remainder of the campaign with the obligation to make the deal permanent. The West Londoners' demands are not known yet although last year, Manchester United would have had to pay £50 million for the forward.

It remains to be seen what offer West Ham are willing to make for Muniz in the upcoming days and whether Fulham are indeed prepared to let go of him midway through the season, especially following Marco Silva's comments on him not being for sale.

Marco Silva deals West Ham transfer blow as Fulham boss confirms Rodrigo Muniz latest
Cottagers boss confident Brazilian forward will remain at Craven Cottage

Marco Silva has insisted Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is simply not for sale.

Standard Sport understands West Ham are keen on the Brazilian, having identified Muniz as a target during Julen Lopetegui's brief spell in charge of the club.

Silva believes Muniz will remain in west London and that Fulham are not willing to enter talks with any teams interested in his signature.

"No not at all," Silva said when asked if any clubs have been in contact for Muniz.

"We are not open to listen to anything about Rodrigo and it's better if no one contacts us because it will be a quick and easy answer from us.

"There's no chance at all to even start to talk to clubs."

Raul Jimenez, who recently became the highest scoring Mexican in Premier League history, turns 34 years of age in May.

Silva believes the 23-year-old Muniz has the potential to lead the line for the Cottagers for many years to come.

"I don't have doubts about it," Silva added when asked if Muniz has a big future at Fulham.

"He's been here with me for four years. I pushed hard to have him here in that moment and he's going to be for the future.

"He has much more years here and a bright future in front of him and he has all the conditions to be the number nine for this football club for many years."

Fulham conceded twice in two minutes in their 3-2 defeat to West Ham on Tuesday as they saw their nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end.

Silva praised his side's ability to win matches over the congested festive period and wants his men to bounce back at Leicester on Saturday.

"The unbeaten run was very good and it's difficult in the December month where we have injured players and players who had a fifth yellow card," he said.

"We responded really well. The small details made us draw some games, the run was really good.

"The last game against West Ham, it was the worst way possible (to lose) and it was not something in our thoughts.

"We cannot change that game no more, we've analysed and know what we need to do to improve, and we have belief in our quality to win the next one."

Leicester City vs Fulham: Preview and Prediction
Leicester City will host Fulham at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, looking to end their disappointing run of form and get back to winning ways.

Leicester City are currently on a six-match losing streak in the Premier League, and they will be desperate to get their season back on track, starting with the game vs Fulham on Satuday. The Foxes are 19th in the table, and they are one of the favourites to go down.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's men will hope to secure safety in the Premier League, and it remains to be seen whether they can grind out a positive result here. Meanwhile, Fulham are 10th in the Premier League standings, and they will look to pile further misery on the Foxes.

The Cottagers are coming into this game on the back of a disappointing defeat against West Ham United, and it remains to be seen whether they can bounce back strongly. The West Londoners will definitely fancy their chances against the struggling Leicester side, and it will be interesting to see if they can grind out all three points.

Team News & Tactics
Leicester City

The Foxes will be without Ricardo Perreira due to a thigh injury, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku due to a long-term knee injury, Wilfred Ndidi due to a hamstring injury, and Mads Hermansen due to a groin injury. Leicester City are likely to shape up in a 4-2-3-1 formation vs Fulham, with Jakub Stolarczyk in goal.

James Justin and Victor Kristiansen will start as the full-backs. They will look to keep things tight at the back and hit the Cottagers on the break. Wout Faes will form the central defensive partnership alongside Jannik Vestergaard.

As for the midfield unit, Harry Winks will start alongside Boubakary Soumare in the double pivot. Winks will look to add composure and control to the side, and Soumare will look to break down the opposition's attacking moves.

Jordan Ayew and Stephy Mavididi will start in the wide areas, and they will add pace and flair to the side.  Facundo Buonanotte will start in the attacking midfield role. He will look to carve out opportunities for his teammates in the final third. Finally, Jamie Vardy will lead the line for Leicester City vs Fulham on Saturday.

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Stolarczyk; Justin, Vestergaard, Faes, Kristiansen; Winks, Soumare; Ayew, Buonanotte, Mavididi; Vardy

Fulham
Fulham will be without Kenny Tete due to a knee injury, while Reiss Nelson is recovering from a thigh injury. The away side are likely to shape up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Bernd Leno taking his spot between the sticks.

Timothy Castagne and Antonee Robinson will start as the full-backs. They will look to contribute at both ends of the pitch. Issa Diop will pair up alongside Joachim Andersen at the heart of the defence.

As for the midfield unit, Sasa Lukic will start alongside Andreas Pereira in the double pivot, and they will add defensive cover and creativity to the side. Emile Smith Rowe will start in the attacking midfield role, and he will look to create goalscoring chances for his teammates.

Adama Traore will start along with Alex Iwobi on the flanks, and they will add pace and flair to the side. Raul Jimenez will lead the line for Fulham vs Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Diop, Andersen, Robinson; Lukic, Pereira; Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez

Key Stats

Leicester City have lost their last six matches in the Premier League.
Leicester City have conceded at least two goals in their last seven matches in the Premier League.
Fulham have won four of their last six meetings vs Leicester City.
21 goals have been scored in the last six meetings between these two sides.
Fulham have failed to win four of the last six matches in all competitions.

Player to Watch
Antonee Robinson

The Fulham defender is our key player to watch out for. Robinson has been in impressive form this season, and he has nine assists to his name. He will look to continue in his rich vein of form and affect the game at both ends of the pitch.

Robinson will help Fulham tighten up at the back and create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates going forward as well. The 27-year-old United States International is playing his best football right now, and he will look to make a defining impact for his team here.

Prediction
Leicester City 1-2 Fulham

Both teams will be desperate for a positive result here, and this is likely to be a cracking contest. Leicester City are currently lacking in confidence right now, and they need a major slice of luck to get something out of this contest.

On the other hand, Fulham are a better team, and they should be able to grind out a good result here. This is likely to be a close contest, but the away side should be able to edge out a narrow victory. Leicester City are likely to put up a fight here, but they could come up short eventually. The Hard Tackle predicts a 2-1 win for Ruud van Nistelrooy and his charges.

Former Weydon School pupil Sophia Roberts makes Fulham debut against London City Lionesses in Women's FA Cup
A former Weydon School pupil has made her debut for Fulham's women's team.

Sophia Roberts came off the bench for Fulham in their 5-0 defeat against London City Lionesses, which was shown live on BBC iPlayer.

Roberts came off the bench in the 89th minute of the fourth round Women's FA Cup tie at Craven Cottage.

Sophia's mother, Stephanie, was at Craven Cottage to witness her daughter's debut.

"It was so exciting," said Stephanie.

"Sophia found out a couple of days before the game that she was in the first-team squad.

"We were hoping she might come off the bench.

"The fact the game was at Craven Cottage was great, as Sophia got to experience playing at the stadium.

"Sophia started playing football when she was ten. She had been doing gymnastics but she wanted to do football.

"She played locally for Bourne Blades and for Beacon Hill, and had a spell at Reading before joining Fulham at the start of the season.

"Sophia is having a good season with Fulham's under-18s, but to play for the first team was a great experience.

"Sophia is currently studying at a Chelsea Football Club sixth form academy, where she is combining her studies with training and matches.

"She loves football and is following her dream."

Sophia completed her studies at Farnham's Weydon School last summer.

Weydon head of PE Lucy Harper said: "Sophia is a great role model for our younger students, known for her exceptional skills on the football field during her school years and was part of the winning district team.

"Sophia was a key player in the school team, consistently showcasing her talent and dedication.

"Her recent achievement with Fulham is a testament to her hard work and passion for the sport, making her school and community proud."

How to watch Leicester vs Fulham live: Stream link, TV channel, team news, prediction
Both Leicester and Fulham head into their matchweek 22 meeting at King Power Stadium fresh off a midweek defeat, but that's about all they have in common as of late.

Fulham's loss to West Ham (and debuting manager Graham Potter) was the Cottagers' first defeat in nine Premier League games (2W-6D-1L), dating back to Nov. 23. Marco Silva's side (30 points - 10th) remains in the thick of the top-half race, with the European places just five points above and the relegation zone 14 points below. Life is pretty good in west London, especially now that striker Raul Jimenez is back amongst the goals on a regular basis (8 on the season; 5 in his last 8 appearances - all competitions).

2025 (and most of the back half of 2024) has been anything but jovial for Leicester, as the Foxes have just three PL wins this season and have lost six straight by a combined margin of 16-2. Furthermore, Leicester have scored multiple goals in a PL game just three times this season (2W-2D-0L). Typically, when you pair a bottom-three defensive record (46 goals conceded in 21 games) with the fifth-worst attack in the league (23 in 21), you have a bona fide relegation candidate, and that's what Leicester are (14 points - 19th), though two points is currently all that separates them from 17th-place Wolves.

Leicester vs Fulham prediction
Fulham's six recent draws don't seem so impressive until you see that four of the six came against Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Bournemouth, and West Ham were absurdly lucky to score three goals on four shots. The Cottagers are due for an offensive explosion. Leicester 1-3 Fulham.

Leicester XI vs Fulham: confirmed team news and predictions
Leicester City Football Club welcome Fulham to King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The visitors currently sit 10th in the Premier League. After an eye-catching campaign, the west London outfit could have expected to be slightly higher in the table. And the Cottagers will obviously fancy their chances against a Foxes side that is finding it very difficult, almost impossible, to keep its head above water.

Fulham's recent top flight progress has halted or declined somewhat of late, however. They were unable to see off another relegation-threatened team in Ipswich Town nearly a fortnight ago. Then
Marco Silva's men lost to West Ham United, who are a similarly struggling club. Nevertheless, Leicester's form and plight is arguably the worst of the lot. A concerning season continues.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's squad haven't managed a win in seven (that's seven) EPL matches. I quite like the Dutchman, and he's clearly inherited an inadequate roster. But he will begin to come under fire soon unless results change for the good. And rightly so following six consecutive league defeats. With all that in mind, what did RvN reveal fitness-wise? And how do we expect the east Midlanders to line up?

Confirmed Leicester City team news and predictions for Fulham clash
First of all if you weren't aware, City made a signing this week. Right back Woyo Coulibaly came to the King Power. And the Frenchman may play against the Cottagers if called upon. That's if paper work is completed.

Leicester will be without four players through injury this weekend: Wilfred Ndidi, Abdul Fatawu, Ricardo Pereira and Mads Hermansen. The latter is slowly progressing according to van Nistelrooy. Therefore the Dane will be assessed next week.

The game is winnable but don't count on it. Here is Foxes of Leicester's predicted XI: Stolarczyk; Kristiansen, Faes, Vestergaard, Justin; Soumare, Winks; Mavididi, El Khannouss, Buonanotte; Vardy.

Leicester vs Fulham: Preview, predictions and lineups

Struggling Leicester face visit from Fulham in the Premier League
Foxes suffered sixth straight Premier League defeat midweek
Fulham tasted first defeat since late November on Tuesday evening

Leicester City are aiming to end their six-game losing run in the Premier League on Saturday when they host Fulham at King Power Stadium.

The Foxes endured another miserable defeat against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening, with their profligacy punished by their clinical opponents. The pressure is already rising on new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has overseen just a solitary Premier League victory after a fortuitous 3-1 win over West Ham United on his debut.

Fulham could well push Leicester further into crisis on Saturday, although they did taste their first defeat since the end of November during their trip to West Ham on Tuesday. Alex Iwobi's brace couldn't earn the Cottagers a point as they stumbled to a 3-2 defeat during Graham Potter's first league match in

Leicester team news
Leicester had a threadbare squad at the beginning of the season and injuries have only exacerbated their issues. Abdul Fatawu's season-ending ACL tear has seen them struggle for creativity, while the influential Mads Hermansen's absence in between the sticks has proven costly.

The goalkeeper remains missing for Saturday and Jakub Stolarczyk will continue to guard the net. Wilfred Ndidi is unavailable in midfield and Ricardo Pereira is absent at right-back, both players who could add genuine quality to the Leicester team.

Leicester predicted lineup vs Fulham
Leicester predicted lineup vs Fulham (4-2-3-1): Stolarczyk; Justin, Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen; Soumare, Winks; Buonanotte, El Khannous, Mavididi; Vardy.

Fulham team news
Fulham could welcome Sander Berge back to their matchday squad for Saturday's trip to the East Midlands, with the midfielder having been missing since before Christmas with an ankle injury. He could feature in some capacity at King Power.

Reiss Nelson will not be part of the travelling party, however. He remains out of action with a hamstring injury and is joined by Kenny Tete in the treatment room, with the latter unlikely to return until the end of March at the earliest. That means Timothy Castagne will line up at right-back against his former side.

Fulham predicted lineup vs Leicester
Fulham predicted lineup vs Leicester (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Lukic, Pereira; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez.

Leicester vs Fulham score prediction
Leicester certainly created chances against Palace midweek but lacked the ruthlessness to take them. Despite boasting an xG tally of 1.7, they drew a blank, and their struggles in the final third have been a consistent issue this season.

The Foxes are also suspect defensively, having conceded two or more in 11 of their previous 12 matches. Fulham aren't the division's most prolific scorers but they will fancy their chances of unpicking the Leicester backline on more than one occasion.

Prediction: Leicester 1-2 Fulham

Leicester City Predicted Lineup Vs Fulham for January 18
After a midweek loss to Crystal Palace, Leicester City made a quick return to the King Power Stadium. Here is the Leicester City predicted lineup as they play host to Fulham.

Leicester City Predicted Lineup Vs Fulham
How Leicester City Have Lined-up Recently

Crystal Palace were the most recent opposition for the Foxes, where an almost identical side was fielded after their 6-2 F A Cup win.

Jakub Stolarczyk remains his side's shot-stopper with Mads Hermansen still out. A centre-back partnership of Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard was selected for the first time since Cooper has been manager, as Conor Coady was benched. James Justin and Victor Kristiansen then rounded off the backline as full-backs, on the day that the signing of Woyo Coulibaly was announced.

Harry Winks and Boubakary Soumaré started in the double pivot, but Winks was replaced after an hour for Oliver Skipp. Facundo Buonanotte started off the right for the second consecutive game, with Stephy Mavididi on the other side. Through the centre, it was Bilal El Khannouss trying to be a creative spark.

Leading the line was Jamie Vardy, with Patson Daka partnering him after the 66th minute.

Leicester City's Recent Form and Tactics
A sixth loss in a row marks a torrid time for Van Nistelrooy's side, who can't catch a break. It is a defeat that sees them remain in the relegation zone with just 14 points so far.

It was the same side chosen as the 6-2 win against QPR, but they couldn't replicate any of the glory. A solid first half saw the scoreline level at 0-0, with chances for both sides. With more possession, 11 shots and an XG of 1.05, it would be fair to say that the home side looked much improved.

However, this would all change in the next 45. Jean-Phillipe Mateta scored early on in the second half, to give his side the lead. This would then be doubled by a Marc Guehi volley, with 12 minutes left.

Ultimately, the East-Midlands based side weren't good enough in both boxes. Defensively, they made it too easy for the visitors and then going forward there was a severe lack of quality as three big chances were missed.

Changes will need to be made before this Fulham game, if they want any chance of staying up. Tactics could be a way in which this side could be improved. The space provided out wide is regularly exploited by the opposition, and is a major issue. With Justin progressing as a winger, he often struggles on transition to work back and then when in the low block, both fullbacks are often too narrow.

Leicester City Injuries to Consider
There are no new injuries for the Foxes this week as revealed in the Dutchman's press conference. Hermansen still remains sidelined, whilst Wilfred Ndidi and Ricardo Pereira are also out.

Leicester City Predicted Lineup
GK: Jakub Stolarczyk

LB: Victor Kristiansen

USMNT Predicted Lineup vs. Venezuela: International Friendlies
The United States men's national team will be without most of their key players, so those looking for more minutes must seize the opportunity.

The United States men's national team plays the first of their two January international friendlies on Jan. 18 taking on Venezuela.

Taking place at Inter Miami's Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the USMNT will be without many of their key stars including Christian Pulisic, Antonee Robinson, Weston McKennie, Gio Reyna, Folarin Balogun, Tim Weah, Yunus Musah, Tyler Adams and more. Though, January poses a big opportunity for those to earn their first senior national team caps as Mauricio Pochettino continues to assess his squad.

Pochettino will be taking charge of the USMNT in just his fifth game. Given the importance of going deep in the Concacaf Nations League later this year in March, he'll have a close eye on those selected to play this month.

Here's how the USMNT could line up vs. Venezuela on Saturday, Jan. 18.

USMNT Predicted Lineup vs. Venezuela (4-2-3-1)
GK: Matt Freese—NYCFC's starting goalkeeper makes his first senior start for the Stars and Stripes.

RB: Shaq Moore—The FC Dallas defender could be deployed on the right.

CB: Tim Ream—Still a valued member of USA's camp, the former Fulham defender gets the start next to Miles Robinson.

CB: Miles Robinson—FC Cincinnati's central defender pairs Ream at the back.

LB: DeJuan Jones—DeJuan Jones could be in line to make his ninth appearance for the men's senior team.

CM: Benjamin Cremaschi—The Inter Miami midfielder impressed during the Herons' Supporters Shield run.

CM: Jack McGlynn—The Philadelphia Union midfielder would be making just his second senior appearance for the Stars and Stripes.

AM: Diego Luna—Real Salt Lake's attacking midfielder will be deployed as the furthest creator.

RW: Brian Gutierrez—The Chicago Fire attacking midfielder had eight goal contributions in the 2024 MLS season.

LW: Caden Clark—Jesus Ferreira could've been in line to start, but Clark could be poised for a senior team debut.

ST: Patrick Agyemang—As Charlotte's only goal scorer to reach double digits last season, Agyemang gets the nod up top for his first senior cap.

Schoolboys Saurap Sampang and Maalik Hashi called up as Arsenal U21s face Fulham
Schoolboys Maalik Hashi and Saurap Sampang have been called up to the Arsenal U21 squad for today's game away to Fulham.

There is also a first callup at that level for first-year scholar defender Sam Chapman.

Midfielders Hashi and Sampang have both impressed for the U16s this season.

Hashi (pictured), who has also trained with the first-team on some occasions, made his competitive debut for the U18s against West Bromwich Albion earlier this season.

Sampang is also capable of operating at right-back and played for the U18s during pre-season.

Many players are unavailable for the U21s today due to involvement with the first-team or U18s.
