Born and bred there I mean rather than just moving up there.
In the early 1990 's I was in the Riverside Bar when I heard young chap buying a drink with a distinct northern accent wearing a black and white scarf.
Turned out he was from Macclesfield and supported Fulham because his Dad did - the Dad had no connection to the South East , just always supported Fulham . Used to take him and his sister to watch Fulham when they played in the north now and then . Thankless task very often as in those days Fulham were struggling in the lower leagues.
They played Macclesfield in the Cup in the late 60's and Dad was on the Macclesfield supporters coach and on the way home had to pretend he was sad as Fulham won.
The chap said he was getting married soon so wasn't sure when he would be next back at CC - hopefully still a Fulham fan.
I was born in Woking and my Dad was a Fulham fan. But we moved up to Manchester when I was about 5 years old and lived there all through schooling and until my Dad retired and I left school in the early seventies. I remember travelling to Bury and Stockport and Bolton and Macclesfield etc to see Fulham. I saw Fred Callaghans last match when he came on as sub and had to play up front because of injury. I went to Burnley and Old Trafford a few times.
I actually was lucky enough to have United as a second team as a friend of my Dads would lend him his season ticket and so saw BEST AND CHARLTON AND LAW etc. Didn't see Craven Cottage until a home game with Barrow near Christmas. As we were visiting relatives.
So I may not really fit the question but am close enough.
Yes name of Ossie season ticket holder sat in J block until covid, would cycle to the game, has now moved back to Huddersfield. I sent him a message.
Must be several, at least, living in London from up north, who support Fulham, I would think.
Musician Alan Price, keyboard player with the Animals rock band on hits such as The House of the Rising Sun, from Newcastle, who also made solo singles such as Simon Smith and His Amazing Dancing Bear, would be one- is he still around?
Robert Wilson is from up There, met him quite a few times.Lovely fella.

Robert Wilson, our ex player? I thought he was from Fulham. Pretty sure he lived in Harwood Road as a boy.

He was born in Kensington, London !
Yep quite a few surprisingly enough. Most have connections to the Fulham area, know a couple born & raised in Yorkshire whose dads were Fulham. Over the years met Fulham fans from the north east, got talking to one, a proper Geordie whose dad again was Fulham.
Nearest i get is my father was born in Leeds. I was born in Chatham, Kent so Essex is 'up North' as far as i.m concerned.
I met one in Watford once, if that counts.
They don't exist.
I remember someone on here saying they'd seen a bloke with a Fulham tattoo in a swimming pool in Newcastle (I think) and he'd started supporting them because his dad loved Kevin Keegan so much.
I'll try to find the thread.

There's also a fan in Preston, according to a post a few below.
I'm from Kingston and moved to Leeds about 40 years ago. My Son is a season ticket holder and travels down for every home game. Also goes to as many away games as he can. There are quite a few others who travel with him.
I was born in Glasgow... is that North enough??
:slap:
I'm sure there is a Geordie who does a Fulham YouTube podcast who lives in Newcastle.

Didn't know Alan Price was a fan. Love that guy. He has a great appearance in Don't Look Back, the doc about Bob Dylan's first UK tour. He's the only one who doesn't treat Dylan with kid gloves.

He was well know as a fan, but maybe hasn't been going recently, if he's still alive, don't remember reading of his death. He must be getting on anyway, like myself- and Bob Dylan!
Remember that from Don't Look Back, seems to have been in Dylan's inner circle at the time. My memory's' not so good, haven't watched the film for sometime - he was drinking wasn't he? agree - didn't seem fazed by Dylan.
Unlike Donovan!
Top musician I think, love that organ in House of the rising Sun, and he did a lot of stuff with Georgie Fame, I think.
Just remembered that traditional folk song, House of the Rising Sun was recorded by Dylan on his first lp - song and arrangement pinched off of fellow folkie Dave van Ronk, as an acoustic folk song, so likely that the Animals heard that version- their version has the exact same tune and words etc., and obviously made a great , timeless, rock record out of it; and Dylan may well have wanted to meet Alan Price because of that.

This might help to resolve the confusion:
Memory Lane: Robert Wilson (https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2013/april/28/memory-lane)
"
Now a professional northerner - "with a flat cap and a couple of whippets to prove it," he claims, Robert was happy to look back on his two spells at the Cottage, two contrasting periods during which he made 256 appearances in midfield."
"
I was born in Fulham and was a supporter as a boy," Robert said. "My Dad took me to Chelsea, where we used to watch the likes of Bobby Tambling from the Shed, me perched on my Dad's shoulders. But my Mum, one brother and I were all Fulham fans."
The horses mouth, so to speak.
Rotherham Ray.
Ray Brookes who moved to Leeds.
Good bloke.

There's a 14 year old Leeds fan wandering around West Cumbria in a Fulham shirt, he likes ESR so got a Fulham shirt with his name on it for Christmas. Not technically a fan but fan of one of our players.
I know a couple of Geordies who have Fulham as their 2nd team. One works in London and one in Worcester Park. Both have long attended (occasional) games at the Cottage and are pretty enthusiastic about us.
Not the north, but as a big fan of This Country I was chuffed that Charlie Cooper (from Cirencester) is one of us.
On a similar vein, the boyfriend of a very sexy acquaintance of my partner is a Fulham fan despite them both being from Oxford. Often see him at games. Hope my Mrs isn't reading this ::cool::
