Title: Reserved away seating in Fulham hospitality.
Post by: sarnian on April 08, 2025, 07:45:23 PM
After years of season tickets I decided to treat myself to the Matchday Plus package this year. I have no regrets and yes it's expensive but it's dry and warm before and after games and has decent loos which as a pensioner I appreciate.

However I was dismayed this Sunday to be told among others that I could not sit at a long table with reserved signs in the bar area as it was reserved for AWAY guests. I was more concerned for a couple of Fulham supporters who must have been approaching their 80's and were told they could not sit and would have to try and find other seats or stand.

When purchasing these packages you assume that they are sold solely for home supporters.

If away guests are to be allowed surely everybody should be treated at least equally.

Unless it was for travelling Liverpool executives, i.e. CEO, Sporting Director, etc. then that's pretty appalling. I realize that there are going to be Liverpool supporters and of other Big 6 clubs in hospitality areas and that's just reality, but to have a table reserved for them is ridiculous.

To be honest that should be brought up to the club possibly by the supporters trust. Even CEO's/VIPs of Liverpool FC should be sat in areas where it's not for public purchase or at worse potentially within The Chairman's Private Dining Room hospitality area. When you look on our website for hospitality under the Matchday plus section quoting the below

..."Before kick-off, at half-time and after the final whistle, this is a great venue for talking a good game with fellow fans, grabbing a bite to eat, enjoying a drink and staying warm. And during the match, you've got seats that are nicely poised between the halfway line and penalty areas.

Be part of an atmosphere that's all about Fulham..."

100% agreed with OP about it being wrong. It says fellow fans and not away fans. Definitely a case for a refund there or voucher for another match in hospitality. The irony is that matchday plus is the only hospitality that mentions socialising with fellow fans. Others mention networking with friends and business contacts others no mention about networks just the service.

That's really poor. Do you mind me asking how much it was for the game and what you got for it?

Whether it is good value depends entirely on what you are looking for.

The average cost is about £165 for which you get access to the bar area, food and drink vouchers, etc and therefore monetary wise alone probably not good value.

I chose this package for different reasons being a pensioner with some mobility issues.
There is a lift available which to me is a godsend as I have trouble with lots of stairs, decent toilets and padded seats. It also provides somewhere warm and dry if it is cold and rainy where you can spend time before, at half time and after the game. It also gives me time to relax after the game giving time for the rest of the crowd time to  disperse and queues at the tube stations to disappear.

So as I say it depends entirely on what you are looking for comfort or value.
