Title: Southampton Away
Post by: C Block on April 24, 2025, 04:37:19 PM
Anyone else got a bad feeling about this game?
They look a changed side under this caretaker manager and last weekend they were all over West Ham and should have won comfortably,
This is going to be a very tough nut to crack.

It's a must win game, I have no feelings at all, but we must win!

We have to win, no win and we are staring at a 12th placed finish! At that point  I do question this "Genius" status some give to MS, we have been tactically poor recently, if we are going to get Europe, it is time to sort ourselves out

I was put in my place for that prediction three matches ago!

No bad feelings, believe that we will win. One view one vision.

We are a better team than Southampton. We should win. If we don't, barring bad luck / dodgy decisions, then I think we have to question whether the issue is tiredness, fitness or,God forbid, commitment and motivation of some of the players. Especially given recent performances.

A common theme sometime on the board of you dare to question the ability of MS

Muniz confirmed out which is a huge disappointment. Southampton are down now and so playing without fear as they have nothing to lose. They drew last time out with West Ham, and let's not forget our previous scoreless borefest at the Cottage against them! Worried our season is petering out tbh..

Despite Muniz being out, we should still have enough to beat Southampton.  Especially if Tete starts and Wilson makes an appearance.

If we don't get a win then the season is virtually a set of dead rubber matches, and we could start to see criticism such as players going on the beach already.

Each place is worth £2.2m in prize money so we should really be going for it.

If it helps my attendances this season were Villa, Bournemouth, Wolves, Saints, Palace twice. I can't even start to put them into any order of wretchedness or  disdain but as a sacrifice to the common cause I can't go on Saturday now so enjoy the free flowing goal fest everybody👊

Definitely agree that this could well be a tough game, for the reasons mentioned.

Saints players will be keen to impress, and the team has been playing well, and has nothing to lose, and all the pressure is on our players.

Though don't think our players are 'on the beach'- sure they will want to get as high a finish as possible, with the chance  of European competition, as much as the fans do.

A tough game, but hope we will get at least a point.

What's the news on Diop? If he's fit he'd be one of the fresher defenders with pace to cover breakaways

0-0 at home was impressive. I have concerns over this game.

Their home matches have been tough for them this season caused in part by a toxic atmosphere due to the fans displeasure with the managers,
Thats not there now and they've now got some optimism and hope going forward,
Tomorrow will be very tricky.
