So, that's the double over Brentford this season then with goals from Raul, TC and Wilson. This game had it all, from going 1 up to 2 down, with a Leno penalty save, Wissa not being sent off, to 2 second half Fulham goals and winning 3-2.
Nice end, to what seemed like a drop off since the Liverpool game, but always good to get a win over the bus stop boys from Hounslow.
Let's have all your Post Brentford reactions below.

First time we have done the league double over them since 1938 apparently, although Ludlow Rich will no doubt be able to confirm that.
Wasn't there today but will watch it on Fulham tv tomorrow, excellent win 👏🏻
Josh King looks like a real talent. I expect to see a lot more of him next season for us. Hopefully we get him on a long term contract soon.
Also takes us to our record points tally for a PL season at 54, and you couldn't really pick a better ground to do it.
We may not get Europe this season, we have tailed off a bit recently, but we're still in the mix and have a lot to be proud of from the team/squad/management/coaches this season.
Now to build quickly in the summer to have everyone in place for the season opener and feeling fresh and with a bigger squad and a bit more competition.
lovely to see the scenes at the end with Cairney, though it does suggest this is his last farewell for us based on how everyone was acting, which is a shame. Hopefully they announce it between now and the last match if so, so fans can prepare for the game properly and give him a well earned send off.
Well done team for picking yourselves up and getting the three points.
Nice to ruin the media love in for the Bees.
Normal service is resumed.
We were second best for most of the game.
But.. goals win games.

Interestingly the stats suggest differently, even though it may have felt like that. Funny old game.
For me nothing more pleasing than a double over Brentford .

Wonderful absolutely wonderful, to win any match.
But a London Derby makes it that much sweeter.
What a bizarre season, but definitely a huge positive for us is that we've had some unbelievable moments in local derbies that mean the most.
Harry in particular has really written his name into folklore.
God it's nice to upset those Bees fans on a big day for them on their final home match of the season.
Good second half, showed a bit of pride in getting back into it.
I've sent 10 texts to a Brentford friend,no replies. :slap:
Wow, just wow. I am glad I was sitting down to watch that one...
I was also surprised how many Snipers Brentford let in to watch the match... ::tongue::
Once again, Brentford are not a patch on Fulham.
On a related note, it's interesting to see the absence of certain posters on here...
Post subs we were excellent. TC ran the game for the first 25 mins of that second half. Wilson excellent again. Thought Raul worked his back side off and great header. Adama great run and assist again.
Let's talk about Josh King. Talk on here that he won't sign a new contract because of playing time and he only has a year left. I've alway stuck up for AP especially when playing 10 but honestly can we just sell him for £20 million and tell Josh look you are fighting to start with ESR next season if you sign a contract. If neither work we still have Iwobi and Wilson who can play there.
Every time this kid plays for the first team he looks class. Actually looks a lot better for the first team than he does for the U21's which shows he has the mentality for this level. The decision to not get carried away and hold the ball when we were on the break shows the maturity. His runs, touches and spacial awareness is brilliant. How good is he going to be in the next few years?!
We have to keep him and if that means selling AP just do it Marco!! He prob won't but if we let him go for free because he hasn't been played enough I'll give up.
A few fun facts after today:
- We now have the most goals from substitutes ever in a PL season (but supposedly Marco is bad at subs)
- We have beaten our records point tally
We've shown again we fare better against teams above us in the league. Everything is upside down.
Think King made a difference, hopefully we'll be seeing him for a long time at Fulham.
3 really great goals - have seen them on Sky Premier Highlights :
https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-highlights/video/36504/13370515/brentford-2-3-fulham-premier-league-highlights
Really needed that result and match to be honest. Been a bit deflated of late but seeing Cairney score, Adama assist, Raul look dangerous and King showing he's a real talent, it's give me some optimism for the future and less time to dwell on the ifs and maybes of this season. Up the Fulham. Brentford must bloody hate Wilson....

I don't really understand how you have players like Schade/Wissa/Mbuemo and still embrace the long throw as a primary weapon. It's enough to make you consider Wenger's kick-ins.
I am not sure who I could pick as MoM. I think ultimately it has to be Leno for the penalty save and that point blank one toward the end, but say it quietly, I thought that Andersen and Raul were both outstanding today too.
I also wonder how Berge would fare if he was allowed to push a little further forward, although he is good at it, he seems to be stifled in the role that he currently has.
Just noticed that a few sites haven't credited Adama with the assist for Jimenez's goal - that's crazy

I think the only penalty Leno has saved in a PL game for FFC before today was on 8 May 2023 v Leicester when he saved Vardy's penalty. 17 penalties (I think) have been been put past him in league games for us in nearly 3 seasons. So 2 v 17.

Two years and ~10 days ago against Leicester/Vardy. He's faced 20 non shootout penalties for us (19 in the league, 1 in the FA Cup) and saved 2.

His cross was deflected (which is also why Tete didn't get an assist on Cairney's goal). Adama also played a big role in Brentford's first.
Beating them always feels that little bit more satisfying, and knowing we've likely ended their season doing it is extra special

Have to say I was incredibly impressed with some of their play in the first half. Aggressive pressing, vertical, direct football that was causing us nightmares.
Can't believe we ended up winning that one.
They definitely got away with one with Wissa staying on, and penalty was undeserved.
I quite like Thomas Frank, seems a good egg.

Hilarious that we won there on their last home game of the season. Think there were about 5 people who stuck around for their lap of honour ::wine::
As for the game, the substitutes obviously made the difference. Josh King needs more game time, nuff said.
I read on the match day thread how poor our defence was today. Watching the highlights now, I think it was the Bees defence that went missing not ours? Particularly the two unchallenged headers for our first two goals.

Never been on their board before but I looked in & it's hilarious. I still don't see them as bitter local rivals, more a temporary irritant that will likely return to the Championship at some stage.
I laughed when I read about the poxy FFC fans OTT celebrations - this criticism from a team that released a full match DVD & framed picture of one of their victories over us.

It was a good laugh, but I have to admit that some of the points they made about how long it takes for the players to go back to the dressing room then come out again and the families and the random people that accompany them on the pitch rang true even for our year-end appreciation laps - I guess it's the same at most clubs.

Funny old game yesterday. They were by far more dominant in the first half that's for sure. For me our midfield balance with Berge & Lukic is just not working. The only thing it offers is lots of running around in circles. I do see why they have been picked together and I have said before certain games where backs to the wall you go horses for courses but it's offering next to nothing going forward let alone any vision or threat.
Difficult game for our full backs but both did extremely well all told. Good substitutions at last? Jiminez worked tireless up top and showed how intelligent a footballer he is.
We were a lot better second half a looked far more a threat in our build up and on the break. Was our second half performance better than there first half? probably not but we've been dealt similar results and yesterday we got the rub of the green with a win. Thought the team had more cohesion than Brentford last 20-25mins and though Cairney coming on moved us more forward the Wilson substitution was tactically good.
Not just the win yesterday but good character shown considering recent results as it was looking like season was petering out slowly considering three quarters of this season has been good. If the manager stays and I do not see any reason why he won't unless he was offered perhaps Spurs job! might be to tempting to turn down? then if board back him financially I would look at another Top 10 finish next year.
Leno-I'll start with the only negative, I thought he should have done much better for their first goal. Apart from that it was a perfect performance. His penalty save was absolutely superb, and the save he made in the second half was even better. Made some good saves in the first half too. Probably my MOTM.
Tete-rough first half. Was perhaps lucky to stay on the pitch after he nade that foul when he was already on a yellow. I thought he was superb in the second half though.
Andersen-don't get why he got criticised by some people online for his performance today. I thought he was one of our best players. I don't think that the penalty they got was a penalty either.
Bassey-weaker of the two, especially in the first half. Improved in the second.
Robinson-looked rusty. His touch was very heavy in the first half and he lost the ball often because of that. Also improved in the second.
Lukic-also looked a bit rusty in the beginning, but grew in to the game. Our midfield pretty much always looks much better with him on the pitch as he does a lot of work that goes unnoticed and I think that was the case yesterday too.
Berge-I thought he was pretty good, but I get why Marco subbed him off. As shown in the Chelsea game, having both Cairney and Berge on the pitch doesn't work as our midfield becomes too slow against energetic teams, so because Marco thought Cairney could help us in this game, Berge was realistically the only option.
ESR-I don't agree with those who say he doesn't try. I think he tried his best. The problem today was that he just didn't have his best performance on the ball.
Traore-games like this are the reason why I'd always start Adama when he's in good form, and he has been for a few games now. When on form, he is almost unstoppable. I do acknowledge that he was one of the main culprits for the first goal we conceded, however, he's also one of the main reasons we scored our first and third goal. Yes, they were both brilliant finishes, particularly Wilson's goal, but Adama did a lot of hard work before both those goals.
Iwobi-pretty poor performance from him, especially by his standards. I think Marco overplayed him in the first half of the season. He had some good performances (and a few great performances) in the second half of the season too, but unlike in the first half of the season, he had more than a few subpar performances.
Raul-great performance. That header was perfect. Apart from that, he might not have done much in attack, but he really emptied the tank yesterday, he tracked back and helped defensively until the final second of the game.
Subs:
Cairney-made a really positive impact. Moved the ball faster than Berge which allowed us to take more control in the game. His header was excellent. I was actually a bit surprised by how well he took that chance, as that was a really really good header. Loved his celebration too.
King-his best game in a Fulham shirt(I mean for the senior team of course). Didn't look out of place at all. He seemed to struggle with the physicality of the PL at times in his previous appearances, but not yesterday. His decision making was great too and obviously we all know how talented he is on the ball. Would love to see more from him and hats off to Marco for being brave and putting him on the pitch ahead of Pereirs, Sess and Willian.
Wilson-great performance. The goal he scored was one of my favourite goals he scored in a Fulham shirt. Incredible shot. He gave his all defensively too and some nice touches in thr final third.
Sess-wasn't on the pitch long, but he did fine.
Cuenca-was on the pitch for even less time than Sess. He did fine too.
Too much beach talk on here!
There is a game to win on Sunday. ::scarf:: ::scarf:: ::scarf::

Agree about Jimenez. Thought Andersens' achilles heel is really starting to show. Seems in recent games, players are always getting past/behind him, and he's always chasing. Again v Brentford, drawing the PK. I think we all know he's not the quickest of foot, so maybe his anticipation and positioning need to be looked at. He's getting beat quite frequently......

To be fair that Schade looked rapid to me. Looked like he burned Tete at one point as well and Tete isn't rapid but not slow either.
Think Andersen was brilliant start of the season, poor the first Wolves game when he got injured and then middle of the season on his return and then very decent at the end where feel he's had too much stick in my opinion. Topped blocks and clearances charts I believe in quite a few games last few months. Thought in general he was very good yesterday defensively and a few beautiful long passes as well.
I thought King was brilliant in his cameo. Put in the sort of performance I was expecting from ESR. Really hope we can keep him.
Also, given he's captained England at several youth levels, this suggests he has leadership skills. We could do with more leaders when the chips are down.

Nice end, to what seemed like a drop off since the Liverpool game, but always good to get a win over the bus stop boys from Hounslow.

Why should Wissa have been sent off? Not mentioned in the highlights or MOTD2.

He threw himself down in the box trying to con a penalty, the ref was having none of it but did not book him for simulation, he was already on a yellow.

Not only that, he made a foul that was a clear yellow card soon after he got his first yellow and then also at the start of the second half he made another foul that could have been a booking.
