Very good half. Lots of pressing and good passing. Hot day must take its toll so subs will be needed after an hour. Could do with a 2nd goal. Iwobi, Kevin, Timmy and Bobb all look sharp today.

He has been the reason Spurs are winning, has made loads of tackles and blocks so far, popping up all over the pitch and then scores a goal, a goal that just sneaks over the line by a couple of inches.

Still a chance though, and I can see Palhinha being knackered in the second half he has given so much...come on the Toffees,

First half observations:

Iwobi - Still making too many poor passes.  Has a few good moments, but can look poor, really fluffed a pass to release for a goal scoring chance early.
Bobb - Have not been impressed with Bobb so far this season, but he did have some nice moments in this game, and you can see the potential we have with both Bobb and Kevin in their quickness and ball handling skills.
Kevin - Great free kick and same as above about Bobb, showed some real nice skills.
Castagne - Excellent save to prevent tap in.
Back four defensive end - FFC do look vulnerable back there.  But to their credit, have made enough stops and blocks to keep FFC up for the time being.
Robinson - Looks better today than recent shows.  Glad to see him try a shot from distance, want to see more of that from all the players.

Muniz - I see he's getting stick in the main forum page right now, but I didn't think he was terrible 1st half.  Some decent hold up play and header flick-ons.  He's had a poor campaign, not sure what future is for this player.

I feel bad for Muniz because the referees give him absolutely nothing. They always give him fouls for the same things they ignore when the defenders guarding him do.

It's been a pretty frustrating end to the season with just missing out on Europe.

Decent enough freekick by Kevin and quick reaction by Diop for the goal.

A win today would put us on 52 points - only two less than last season.

Great to finish on a high. Newcastle are no mugs. I don't really understand why they have fallen away but we've done the business. As I've said all season, we generally play great approach football but lack a cutting edge. Think where we could have finished if we had had a reliable striker. Essential to get one in the transfer window as soon as possible to allow him to bed in before the new season starts. No doubt the World cup will put most transfers on hold though.
