Build up coverage has started on Sky, 5 minutes in its all been about Carrick and Man United ✌️
Nice to see King Kevin as a sub, I would luv it if we beat them.
When will Bruno have his first 'stumble'? He likes to get one in early to sound out the ref. My guess is about 7 minutes in.

It's my dreaded 70th Birthday on Tuesday . All I want is 3 points today please.
Get in there Fulham, get in their faces and let them know who the Guveners are.
Play to our tempo and show them no respect, make them respect you.
We need a big performance from Berge today - if he is bypassed easily we will struggle.
The lads are wearing black shorts. Win confirmed.
I worked a 12-hour shift last night, and by the end, I collapsed and injured my leg. I'm in pain and managed to sleep for only 2-3 hours, but there's no way I'm going to miss this match!
I see Mbeumo as their main threat, hopefully Marco has a master plan.

Nice save, Leno.
Utd look much better than they have been for years TBF.
Castagne looks up for it. Not so sure about Robinson.
I don't get why they let so much play go by before flagging for offside these days.

They've given the mandatory penalty.
Wtf...?
Shaping up to be a good fight.
That is NOT a pen!
Ref couldn't give that pen quick enough
He quite clearly got the ball....?
How's that a penalty? He let him go before he entered the box
Not sure about that call.
You have to be kidding
VAR should clear it.
Eh???
No chance
Refs trying it
COme on VAR!!!!!.....
No Penalty
He played the ball damn it!
Never a penalty
The ref showed his true colours there, very worrying
What an absolute joke that was. Corrupt.
Var trying to give it for a shirt pull anyway...
They are looking to conspire though ay
Damn
Sh1t
I dunno. No defending whatsoever there, but in another era that would have been a corner.
FFS
All cos the ref gives a penalty for nothing. Infuriating nonsense. Ref didn't give the penalty for a shirt pull
absolutely rubbish.
Anderson blocked like that leaves us completely exposed without Diop
VAR shouldn't have given the free kick. They should have just said no penalty.
Again we've been f***** by VAR
Fernandes... ****
I thought VAR wasnt there to give freekicks?
Ffs castagne!
Where was the marking? Really dislike this zonal defending. That was so easy. Come on lads pick this up
Cuenca needs to stop sliding in like that with this ref

Depends on the size of the club. We definitely wouldn't get that kind of decision.
Marco has a Yellow Card and an Angry Red Face
This has the markings of a game that's going to ruin my Sunday.
Castagne is defo todays weak link, poor on the goal. We look very suspect on crosses

Can we get a new RB if Tete is going to be absent we cannot rely on this guy in his absence he's useless.
We are playing right into united hands here with the dodgy last min tackles.

Castagne was superb early on at around the fifth minute winning possession twice to get us going up the right side. To me Robinson looks far weaker than Castagne today.
I'm more worried about Jedi than Castagne. He's had a good few games back now, but has lost all of his confidence and no sign of getting it back.
Quote from: KentFulham on February 01, 2026, 02:23:20 PMCastagne is defo todays weak link, poor on the goal.
Huh???
Thats a fffking joke!
First Cuenca played the ball, the ref gave the pen having allowed advantage for the shirt pull but then gave a freekick for it!
That's making decisions up to accommodate the home team
Really sick of the sky commentator continually going on how , "we got away with it " . Neither of Cuenca's challenges was a penalty - end of . Stop being so biased
Quote from: mcbride5912 on February 01, 2026, 02:21:20 PMI thought VAR wasnt there to give freekicks?
Yeah, can someone explain to me why the free kick was given for an incident before the one VAR were brought in to assess?
The grab of the shirt happened outside the area, and VAR were brought in to assess a penalty appeal - which wasn't given and even valid? And was a separate incident altogether
Feels like a bit of something odd that they can assess the penalty claim, dismiss it, and then go back to an earlier instance to benefit the team because the penalty wasn't given?
I admit I don't know a huge amount about VAR but it seems inconsistent
I'm really unhappy with that VAR decision. The ref clearly blew for a penalty because of Cuenca's slide on cunha in the box where he got the ball.
Therefore that decision was clear and obviously wrong which VAR corrected but then they shouldn't have got involved to bring the play back to give a free kick outside the box. That is clearly out of their remit.
It shouldn't have been a freekick.

I agree but this is Man Ure, the rules are different.
Never a penalty, never a free kick, should've been a goal kick...oh I forgot - it's manure....how was the push on ESR not a free kick...oh I forgot - it's Fulham
Thats the thing, they were two separate challenges, one outside the box which wasnt given and then the one inside the box which was incorrectly given and then overturned. Even though they were close to each other they are separate incidents.

Referee John Brooks gave the penalty because for the shirt pulling by Jorge Cuenca, which he thought had continued into the area.
Cuenca released Matheus Cunha's jersey before the Manchester United forward reached the box.
It is a factual overturn for the VAR, James Bell, based on where the foul took place. There is no need for the referee to go to the pitchside monitor.

Fulham have had more possession and shots in the first half.
Shame Onanana wasn't still there, ah well.
ESR actually decent, just not brilliant. Can see the argument for pushing Wilson there with chuk right Kevin left. But would hold out another 20+ and see how we go.

We're playing well. As expected, it's a very tough match. Just need a bit more quality in the final third.
I still think we should have started with a back 5. Robinson and Castagne (in particular Robinson) have struggled, and our midfield looked superb at times offensively but got bypassed quite easily defensively(although Berge has done a good job). 5 atb would have solved both those things.

He's putting in some good crosses, something Jedi never really does well. But keeping that set up allows ESR to sit in that gap as he drops back, from there it's a matter of who comes to support him whether it be Raul (who drags Maguire with him) or Wilson/Iwobi.

Robinson and Chukwueze doesn't work, Chuk staying wide and putting crosses in, so Robinson not offering much going forward. Either bring on Kevin to go on the left or bring on Sess for AR.
Wilson fairly quiet but he often is before he pops up with a goal or assist.

Does Silva not have a plan B?
Are the subs not always warming up?
Shaw fell to the ground & didn't get a free kick!
Sess for Jedi and King for ESR

We were playing well before the goal to be fair
But yeh it's time
Quote from: Jules on February 01, 2026, 03:22:19 PMTypical we had to play United away when they are firing and full of confidence. They were woeful earlier this season under Amorim.
To be fair we played them under Amorim and I thought we did well to get a point from that game.

You really don't rate Sess do you!
I do, I'd start him in the next match. But today, I feel like that sub wouldn't change much.
Robinson and Cuenca have been the poorest players today. Really awful. Cuenca for their first goal and Cuenca moving back slightly for their second meaning Cunha was onside.
yes
Yes!
Get in Cuenca!!!
Interesting....
Yeeees

Offside
Ffs, looks offside to me
Bam!!!
uh oh watch the man utd var rule it out.
Clearly offside. Subs please.
trying to disallow it
Ah I spoke too soon. They'll definitely rule it out.
Going to be disallowed.
Fair enough if its the correct decision, but this is why I dont really celebrate goals anymore.
comes off 2 man utd players so bound to ruule it offside
They'll also spend as long as possible doing it.
This is ridiculous to be taking so long. If it's that tight then they should give the goal.
What a surprise!
Trying. To find any frame that makes it work 😅
Screwed over by VAR again
100% offside & they should send off 5 Fulham player's....this is a sick joke...you really can't make this up
I salute our fans who travel to these games, incredible dedication
Chuk was offside
Chuk to blame... absolutely rubbish.
Can someone ask Silva why he hasn't made any subs for 10 mins.
Quote from: Nero on February 01, 2026, 03:27:54 PMcomes off 2 man utd players so bound to ruule it offside
But if the Fulham player is offside when the ball is played he is still offside.
If it takes a frigging hour to review then clearly it's not an obvious error
These subs are far, far too late.

I guess cos we've looked mostly likely to score and conceded against run of play
So much for the 5cm rule, that was much tighter than for Wirtz.
Just give Utd 3 points and don't bother playing them away!
Come on Kevin, utilise these wide spaces
Todays defeat is on Silva with that shocking defensive line up. It shouldn't have taken 70 mins to make the change
Quote from: St Eve on February 01, 2026, 03:30:15 PMIf it takes a frigging hour to review then clearly it's not an obvious error

Sessegnon might bring something. Kevin will get blown over by a vicious gust of wind

Get TC on for Iwobi
The claw machines at arcades are more fair than games against the big teams. You need to play well and have a lot of luck to take away any points.

Var should have a timer, 2 minutes they get when a decision gets sent up there to make a ruling, if the time expires before they can make a decision, then its clearly not a "clear and obvious" error and the original call stands.

Eh?
We acting like stranger things have happened than coming back from 2 down for a draw or more. We were in the ascendency when we conceded and we actually got worse in aftermath of subs on
I also think it woulda been a good idea to get a sub on but we were playing well and looked capable of a goal so just saying I understand the thinking in this case
Need a striker and a CM tomorrow if we really want to push on. Need someone with some of TC's passing with defensive steel so we don't look lightweight in the middle and someone that gives us more mobility than Raul. His age looks like it's caught up with him in the last few weekks
Penalty for us!
lovely dink from tc and what a move and surely this pen will stand?
This will get disallowed lol
Wonder how VAR will rule this one out.
Not changing it - clearly they realise that too many decisions for United is a bit too dodgy
is that 12 out of 12 for Raul
Raul. Class penalty.
Our midfield looks much better with an actual midfielder (TC) than with a winger/attacking midfielder(Iwobi). We really need a new cm asap.
Excellent pk by Raul.

Donkeys at the back
There is ONE player in the box to mark and Andersen is the other side of the Penines, he did the same shite with Mateta a few weeks ago and it's absolutely atrocious

We dominated them on their own patch, especially second half. Poor refereeing and even worse defending are to blame for not getting a comfortable win here.
Great effort overall but why do we always have defensive lapses. It's so frustrating.
Just lapse in concentration at the wrong times. Not really anyone to blame, but I'm sure someone will go that route. Think it was a really good showing against an in-form team that has a lot of momentum. I don't think this loss will ruin ours by any means. Hopefully we can get another signing in to move on very quickly. COYW.

Great argument, they'll be printing that on a tea towel one day. Inspirational.
Bassey seems out of shape to me. I dislike blaming players for a single mistake, but come on, man.
I won't blame the defence - we didn't do enough in the first half when going forward so it's a team loss for me. Playing the officials too. We move on.

Football is rubbish. Gonna get into tiddlywinks
Ultimately it's Man U away and they've got the "new manager" honeymoon period.
However, I was disappointed by Marco's resistance to making substitutions. It took some 10 minutes after the 2nd goal went in before we made our changes.
Right at the end, Bassey and Anderson to allow them that chance to win it was inexcusable. Let's reflect.. they picked the ball up literally on the half way line practically on the wide right. We had both our CBs back. How did they let them get a shot on goal? It's surely basic Premier League defending. Bassey was far too advanced and over committed himself. Anderson appeared completely at sea in the penalty box.
So frustrating.
Going forward, we need better balance. Can Bobb start on the right wing and push Wilson more central?
Quote from: Milo on February 01, 2026, 04:02:34 PMSo.. Anderson.. are we collectively fed up of him ]
Not fed up with him, no. I think he us our best central defender.
A calamity of errors by two midlevel defenders.
Bassey gets turned by playing his man playing him too closely and not having enough pace to recover...and then who is Anderson marking?
That defensive pairing has mental lapses too often.
Anderson in particular. You can't fall asleep like that.

If you want to start blaming people for that goal, you should start with the midfield and Ryan Sessegnon.
The only issues with that sequence was Bassey getting fooled by Fernandes, but that's a bad mismatch. That's a lapse in concentration from Bassey, but he hadn't done much defending since he was on, so yes I agree Marco possibly should have brought him in earlier. Regardless, the job's the job. I don't think Andersen expected a low ball against their massive striker in Sesko where the previous cross was a high one when he headed off the post. That's the quality Fernandes brings and United brought in general. From Casemiro's goal and his no-look assist, with Fernandes playing 1-2 flicks here and there.

I'm sorry but you had to concede that our CBs should've done better there.
I'm not surprised the result as it's Man U away.. but we have to learn from these mistakes or else we won't improve.
I really think a holding mid...or a top flight starting CB is a much bigger need than a striker by the end of the tranfer window, but that's just me apparently.
I've not been a fan of Bassey starting for over a year.

I wrote "IF" yiu want ti blame individuals (I don't), Sess was way out of position for their winner, and there was collective midfield failure to track back too. But if people wanr to scapegoat Andersen for evey goal we concedee that is their prerogative.
