Could we get away with 2 strikers upfront today?

We are struggling to make chances in the final third.

I would bring on Jiminez for Berge.

It's because of our wingers, we have nothing out wide because we're playing with two wingers who want to come inside. I will die on the hill that we should've given Leeds Wilson and got George in because he is much more direct which is something we sorely lack at the moment

Our passing today is atrocious, especially from the two CBs

Fulham FC are not the same team without Jedi Robinson in the lineup. They appear so slow.

If Kevin doesn't get at least 20 mins after watching this dross from our wingers then I've no idea what Marco is playing at
Title: Re: Leeds (H) Saturday 13/09
Post by: Nittany_Joe on September 13, 2025, 03:28:27 PM
The lads seem to be playing with heavy legs. Leeds have dominated possession.

So far, it's a disjointed effort from the Whites. Maybe they are trying to lull Leeds to sleep.

Post by: Milo on September 13, 2025, 03:29:40 PM
Has Bassey completed a pass this match?

Missed 3 or 4 simple balls so far. Won't get away with that against the better teams.

Kevin's been training here for a week and is our most expensive player ever!
Sitting on the bench - is Marco proving some silly point to his bosses?

We need wingers!
We paid a fortune for one and don't use him!

Bloody mindless from Marco

30 mins and no shot - tbh Marco deserves some heat for how we've started the season because 45 mins against Chelsea isn't good enough
Title: Re: Leeds (H) Saturday 13/09
Post by: Milo on September 13, 2025, 03:35:10 PM
Think the whole performance has been poor so far.

Only Muniz playing reasonably so far and he's been mostly chasing lost causes.

Ps I don't quite know what Berge contributes to the team. Lukic at least gets about a bit. I would sacrifice his role for an extra striker.

Title: Re: Leeds (H) Saturday 13/09
Post by: Deeping_white on September 13, 2025, 03:36:19 PM
That just sums it up - we win the ball back and Wilson is gently jogging whilst Lukic is bombing down the right wing, the urgency is awful
Title: Re: Leeds (H) Saturday 13/09

Why play Wilson against the team he's going to in Jan? He ain't gonna want to there in a relegation situation and so won't be trying too hard today, maybe?

Ok silly but I'm getting pissed orf

I agree about Berge. There are times when he is the slowest player on the field, not worthy of Premier League status.

I would sub:

Berge
King (sorry)
Wilson

For:

Traore
Kevin
Jiminez

Try to inject some pace and energy into the second half.

Not impressed with this performance so far. Can't agree that Muniz has been good - he's not been bad, but his first touch has been poor. We look to be on a level to Leeds on this performance.

Interested in our performance, Think it's time for Silva to walk away. We are horrible to watch. No attempts on target at home.

We need someone in charge who is prepared to take risks, especially at home. We ought to be on the front foot here. He speaks very negatively and our performances during his reign in the PL are negative.

Some exceptional results of course but generally we provide very little entertainment, enthusiasm or value for money.

If Robinson is fit enough I'd sub him on as well as Kevin.

Replace Wilson, and either move Iwobi to the right and replace sess, or move sess to the right wing position and replace Iwobi.

Give the team a massive bollocking about picking the pace up and demand more from the fullbacks with overlapping runs

It's almost as if they have forgotten that not shooting equals no goals!

If we're relying on a LB (Jedi) for our attacking threat then that's a serious coaching issue. Not having a single shot at home to what will be a relegation candidate is also a borderline sackable offence. 3/4 of the XI look knackered and the fact he refuses to rotate based on fatigue is insane. Are you seriously telling me that throwing Kevin in with two weeks of training over Wilson would be such a risk, or picking Chuku when we know he's a better player with attacking output. Poor old Muniz might as well be 2 miles down the road, he's got 0 support from the team and King has looked his age today as well with basically no control over the ball

I am wondering about Marco's pregame preparation. Does he over exert the team during training sessions?

The entire teams looks tired and lethargic. Instead of professionals they look like amateur's. Sorry to be so harsh but this effort is unacceptable. They did did the same thing last season when they faded down the stretch (remember that trash game against Everton).

Almost as if the managers lack of enthusiasm has rubbed off on the team. Not a shot in anger against a team who have injuries and have had to play defensive and still look better than us. First half of embarrassment.

Know it might annoy, but the moaning from MS and grumpy attitude doesn't help our club.  Might be best he goes at end of the season.

Why we never have a match full from start to finish of fire, passion and intensity, (well maybe the odd derby), but needs to be every game like other clubs do.

We bumble along in games far to often for my liking, has to be the managers responsibility to change that attitude and its been that way many times for years
Title: Re: Leeds (H) Saturday 13/09

You could sub any of our wingers - King, Wilson, Iwobi. All 3 ineffective today.

I suspect his only sub will be ESR.

Ps if we were all calling for subs at half time and he kept the team the same and effectively wasted 15 more minutes.. then surely it's the Manager at fault.

Leeds are not very good, yet Fulham are struggling to take shots.

Is this a harbinger of two relegated teams?

One thing for sure, there are no easy wins this year. Leeds and Burnley were predicted to go back down to the Championship. The question is who will be the third to go down? Wolves, Sunderland or Fulham?

Ironic that the worst performance for some time gives us a first win of the season. Lucky and well I guess after the awful officials we have had to put up with were due a bit of luck. Clearly Kevin is class but no doubt Silva will bench him again. Silva sometimes is so lacking in tactical ideas.
