Undeserved result, completely. We had a fair goal ruled out and they shouldn't have been allowed to take that corner.

Everyone is playing really well, but I have to single out Andersen, who is having his best game in a Fulham shirt in my opinion, and King, who is having his best game in senior football.

Quote from: SerbianLad on August 30, 2025, 01:34:43 PMEveryone is playing really well, but I have to single out Andersen, who is having his best game in a Fulham shirt in my opinion, and King, who is having his best game in senior football.

I think Andersen has returned from the close season in really good shape & we're seeing the player we'd hoped for.

I'm a qualified referee (obviously at a lower level) and we are taught that we will make mistakes, just like players do but we must be consistent.

Today and all too often we see PL refs make mistakes and then compound them by being inconsistent, they may know the laws but they don't have a feeling for football.

OK Var interfered too much in some cases and not enough in others but today's ref was simply appalling, weak and incompetent!
Title: Re: Chelsea 2-0 Fulham Saturday 30/08
Post by: LittleErn on August 30, 2025, 02:49:06 PM
I've said it before, but VAR should only be involved if the ref actually asks for its help. They should NEVER be able to call the ref to the screen and then influence him by making suggestions. I also think VAR should not show incidents in slow motion.
Title: Re: Chelsea 2-0 Fulham Saturday 30/08

Club need to kick up a stink here. Official complaints need to be made with requests that those involved in today's so-called officiating serve adequate bans and are blocked from any involvement in our remaining games. We won't get anything but the point needs to be made and shown it isn't accepted.

What bias? Anyone who watched the match, even if you're not a Fulham fan would say we dominated the midfield. Look at Chelsea's forum, they were saying the same thing.

What kind of bias would I have towards Berge, Tete and Castagne anyway (I don't think I'm biased towards Lukic either, but I guess that's what you're aiming at).

Btw, you're one of the most biased posters here. I've never seen you say anything bad about TC. The fact is, both Berge and Lukic are better options than TC at the moment. TC is a good option to have of the bench.
