He was struggling to put in to words how good he was in training. He said he thinks we've signed "Pele's son." Can't wait to see him live in action.

Tom likes an odd jokey throwaway comment now and then, and whilst he's been at the club a while and a majority of those years have been in the championship or relegation teams, its fair to say we've had some talented players in the door, who even if not in their peak, could still play at a very high level.
Willian, Schurrle, Babel, and others.. all at one point playing at the very top of the game, winning leagues, cups, the world cup and being full internationals for the best teams in the world at the time they played for them.
I imagine that, coupled with genuine interest in football, gives him more than enough insight to appreciate quality.
Don't forget, Anguissa went on to win serie A, Lookman a hattrick in the EL final, Bassey and Iwobi - AFCON finalists..
Given Kevin has only been in the door 3? days, and is only 22 - it's quite the statement to already put Kevin into his all time fulham 5 aside.
Granted not many players have shown up and played at an incredible level whilst for us, but I imagine he's got an eye for it.

But I'm not sure Mitrovic would be so good at 5-a-side, though it may depend on whether it's with a head height rule.

Mitro did have close control skill, sharpness and pace in the box, surrounded by defenders, and an eye for goal, of course, which I think we've definitely missed.
Brief mention for Tete as well. Interesting pick, shows what a top quality defender he is that he is TC's first pick. Can't believe he didn't go with Jazz Richards!
Can't wait to see what this guy can do, sounds like he could have a Dembele style wow factor we haven't seen in a while.
Lookman at times was explosive for us, I remember his debut and thinking this is what a winger should be like. Expecting something similar here.

A number of players have mentioned Tete as being incredibly difficult to play against and beat in a 1 on 1. He's a brilliant defender and perfect for a 3 at the back situation when we play that way. Not the quickest bomb down the wing type as an RB but he's so strong, combative matched with being excellent at reading the game. Love King Tete.
As for Kevin, love to hear it, he's got the x factor, it's just a case now of Silva refining and developing his decision making from here but if we can get the best out of him, I'm very excited to watch him grow here.

That being said, he became a significant problem in his second season. Both in his beyond arrogant and borderline toxic demeanour when he didn't receive a pass, that passive aggressive t-shirt wasn't great.
But also by completely killing our tempo, slowing the attack down and having zero defensive commitment. That sort of luxury player doesn't seem to exist very often in modern football.
In a five a side team, he'd be incredible though. Bryan Ruiz would be pretty good too.

What used to annoy me was commentators saying Mitrovich scores with a free header. Never did they say how he was so good at losing his marker. Sad he left under such a cloud. Glad he didn't take Frank Newton's scoring record away.
