Hit with 74 charges by the FA over breaches of multiple regulations.
Hope the punishments show some teeth.
Nothing frustrates me more than seeing clubs and owners who don't care about money, being hit with fines - as with City, Chelsea, PSG in the past. They'll see what change they have in their back pockets, pay it and plow on while reaping the rewards of their spending and the revenue increase that that spending manufactured.
Is one of them Chalobah making a meal of Rodrigo stepping on his foot?
Presumably these are the breaches the new owners reported when they took over from the Russian?
If so, I'll be happy with a light penalty for them, relegation to League 1 will suffice.

I have a little sympathy with new owners as not their doing, but are these not the sort of things they should have picked up before they purchased the club ?

The way I see it is that their company and asset which has greatly benefitted from these breaches should still be punished accordingly. Despite it not being their doing, they're still beneficiaries.

The new owners appear quite happy to be 'creative' in trying to circumvent financial controls. 'Selling' women's teams, 'selling' hotels, 'selling' players to other teams they own and control such as Strasbourg. If they see a potential loophole they go for it then whinge and use expensive legal teams.
So no sympathy whatsoever.
It will take years before any action gets taken as appeal after appeal follows.
Let's hope they are made to suffer the consequences of their 'ducking and diving' attitude to obeying the rules.
Expecting an announcement in 2029 that in view of the club's cooperation, it's a suspended £5 fine.
VAR have already started making sure any points deductions are made up by on the pitch decisions. As one of the big clubs they will get away with it.
I think the first thing that should happen is they are stripped of any titles they had won between those years and scrubbed from the records.

Good call Mick. I still dream that At.Madrid are thrown out of the Europa League for something, anything.

So they should have at least a six point deduction to make up for stealing our last game, ::angry::

It wasn't Chelsea's fault, it was the officials.

It should have been picked up by FA
Chelsea have been hit with 74 charges related to alleged breaches of agent regulations by the Football Association.
The FA said the charges span the period between 2009 and 2022, when the club were owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, and primarily relate to events which occurred between the 2010/11 and 2015/16 seasons.
Sky Sports News understands there will not be a points deduction or sporting sanction if the charges are upheld but Chelsea could face a punishment similar to their recent settlement with UEFA, a €10m fine.
This is currently reported on skysports.
10m euro - really?
If so, we may as well cheat as well!?
Nothing will happen, it never does.

No worries, they'll sell their ball boys to cover the €10m.
Really wish the big clubs would sod off to a big European league, or a world league.
Fed up with club corruption and dodgy Ref's/Var....football is definitely eating itself.

This always fascinates me, if Fulham manage to get up to the top tier and be successful, would you want them to sod off.
Get them down to league 2 as a punishment. :claping20hands:

Just want an even playing field for all teams, if that means not playing with the big boys, fine by me!
Crikey that was quick.... they've been hit with a substantial penalty.... they've been awarded 20 points for the coming season

Three of which were awarded as a downpayment.
