Title: Harry
Post by: perry geyton on December 22, 2025, 06:42:59 AM
Will he stay or will he go ?

Currently in the form of his life, must be some big teams eyeing  him up.

Tough one to call this

I hate to say it but I'm leaning towards he's going, unfortunately

I think he'll stay. He's still a bit inconsistent over a season and his form is based on him being able to carve out a starting point in our squad. At the moment he's one of the first names on the list but he wouldn't be in a team that is a step up from us IMO.

He's still a player of moments and goes quiet for large parts of a game. I don't think the big teams will go for that. But I wouldn't be surprised if Leeds go back in for him, and maybe someone like West Ham.

Marco said that the club and Harry's agents are in discussion currently. I think he'll sign a new deal but it'll only be a 2-3 year deal since we don't seem to offer lengthy renewals.

We are always crying out for a winger that can score. Why would we sell one?

Nah, Harry is not going anywhere, and I don't think there are any clubs after him at all.

From his interview it kind of sounded like he'll go with the best contract on offer to him. Said he was happy here, but he's in a great position to negotiate given his current form. Being a free agent as well means he'll probably have some very good offers.

His contracts up in the summer, it's not a case of us selling him it's a case of him going on a free to whoever offers him the best contract , as he said, I think he loves life at Fulham Theres no doubting that BUT it's all about the money these days, sadly

Personally I'd rather be skint in London over being minted in Leeds

I can see a situation where Harry moves on if we don't offer him a satisfactory contract but I very much doubt that any of the so called 'big teams' would look to sign a player who will  be 29 in March, on the basis of a good first half of the season for Fulham.

But it's not just been one good half of a season, he's had a couple of seasons where he was in the top five for goal contributions despite playing most of his Fulham matches from the bench: 2nd in 21/22 with 31 g/a, joint 1st in 23/24 with 14 g/a, and he's 1st again this season so far with 8 g/a. The other seasons he was close to being top five. I think if he had more starts in previous seasons he might've gotten more.

Leeds without a doubt, any mid table team, Everton, Forest, Sunderland etc etc

He's getting a lot of hype in the media currently as an in form player. Quite rightly so

We need to re-sign him just by virtue of how much other business we need to do in the next two windows. As it stands we need 2-3 new CMs, 1-2 new wingers and a striker assuming Raul, Reed, Cairney and Adama depart and we aren't expected to have an major sales to help fund it. That also assumes we activate the options on Chukwueze and JKA. The extra CM/winger depends on where Iwobi goes for his primary position.

It's tough though because Harry is already 28 which is right around when you'd expect wingers to start to decline so ideally we don't sign him for more than 3 years with an option. He's also very much a goals/assists player only. When he's in form that's great, but if he goes through a cold patch then he provides very little in terms of being able to build up through him or be a playmaker and he is quite streaky.
