came on and made all the difference. Both Wilson and ESR scored excellent goals, and it was wonderful to see Kevin net his first goal.
Looking ahead to the next match: Who was your Fulham Man of the Match, and what's your reasoning?
Wilson
And it's not close
Came in and absolutely dominated , levels above
Other shout outs to Raul , Cairney and Robinson who also massively improved us . ESR had a good game too
Hard to judge JKA when he had none of the support around him that Raul was afforded, relatively quiet one that means he'll be destined for no more than 2mins again 😅
Went a bit early with the final score did we? ;)
Only caught the second half but cant see how it can go to anyone other than Wilson. Great goal but the assist for Kevin... Just added another zero to the end of his wage demands!
Smith Rowe or Wilson. What a difference when the subs came on.
And at last Kevin has his goal. Harry Wilson is talismanic, completely unstoppable right now.
Adama's time really really is up. JKA did fine for his start, but today really underlined how much we need our key players to carry us through.
And Kevin finally scored.
Wilson yet again, goal and an assist.
We looked awful until Silva brought on our real attack, then it became trivial. Maybe a bit of tiredness, lack of depth showing through.
I thought we were genuinely atrocious until 55 odd minutes, and Middlesbrough totally deserved to be ahead.
The Wizard yet again. He is on black and white hot form.
Quote from: alfie on January 10, 2026, 05:01:11 PMAnd Kevin finally scored.
And his defensive work has improved enormously
TC for me. After he came on we got control of the game and began to dominate. Wilson's contribution was great but without Tcs contribution I'm not sure he would have seen so much of the ball. Wilson's assist for the last goal was great as well but Cairney's pass to ESR was sublime and came at a vital time.

Missed the match today, interesting to read, Kevin got the first assist and his first goal, so thought he may have been in contention, but Wilson sounds like head and shoulders above despite even that productivity from kevin. Curious to see highlights.
Interestingly for Kevin, that's his third assist and 1st goal in the last 6 games he's played for us. Has he turned a corner?
I appreciate it was boro, but the other two assists were in PL games
TC gives us so much more control of the midfield when he comes on: the small things just like aways showing for the ball and taking it on the half turn / always looking to progress if the ball is on makes such a difference.
Other than the peerless Wilson, ESR and Kevin also looked good second half. Jedi far better than Sess when he came on too.
There were good performances from our established first team players, but the "hopefuls" did very little to further their claim for a starting place.
Wilson.
Kevin had a good game. Not only his goal but his work load in closing their attack down & interceptions.
Adama really very poor. As has been mentioned, too slow on the ball but his passing was atrocious. Gave the ball away 5/6 in first half.
Subs were great & changed the game completely.

Yeh for sure we really need to find a new Putney De bruyne to blood in. king I suppose is the great young hope at CAM alongside a very good ESR. But we need someone who can read and dictate a game like TC from deep., a thing few players can. When at his best , he's a story teller.
Will be greatly missed when he does hang up his boots
A brief mention for Boro who in the parts of the 2nd half I saw looked bright going forward and kept the ball quite well. I wish them well for the rest of the season now we've seen them off.
I think it has to be Wilson. His goal got us level and a brilliant assist sealed the win. Others subs made a good impact as well. Kevin has had his best game for Fulham imo,my only criticism of him is the shot he had in first half when he was in acres of space. It was terrible.
Only worrying performances for me were Traore anf the two fullbacks. Traore for some reason slowed down play every time he had the ball, bar the two times he went direct and he actually put in excellent crosses both those times. Why couldn't he do that more often? Castagne and Sess were terrible defensively and made some mistakes in attack too. Worst game from Sess I've ever seen.
Death, Taxes and Harry Wilson ........the Welsh Wizard does it again , another goal and assist in his red hot form .
1st half - Borough had a game plan to slow the game down and control possession , have to give them credit thats what they did . We just didn't control the ball or hold possession . Can't fault JKA he's young and hasn't had a lot of game time , maybe could have got his header down . Traore well he was a bit sloppy and not as much of a threat as he should have been . ESR was working hard , same as Lukic and Reed. Mix up with trying to clear the ball , just not clean enough and Borough take the lead. 2nd half - Silva had to make changes with Raul, Cairney and Wilson on , instant impact with more controlled possession and Wilson equalizes . ESR and Kevin grew into the game and we pressured Borough into mistakes . ESR get his reward with a quality goal to take the lead . Wilson with the assist for Kevin to get his first . Borough made us work for it thats for sure but the Cup run continues

Given more time with Marco and on the pitch, I am confident he will come good. He's one of those players you can almost see him trying to adapt in real time, but you're right seems he may be turning the corner. Hopefully the goal will relax him and he kicks on.

That Cairney can play a bit can't he. Wilson on his left foot - magic and i thought Kevin had his best game for us battled to the end.

Harry made an instant impact. So even though they both scored one and assisted one, Harry gets the MOTM.
Pleased with the comeback, and relieved, as the FA Cup retains its excitement for me, and keeps our dream of a trophy alive this season for now. I also think it helps the team in the league too. The substitutes (especially Harry Wilson, MoM)) turned the game, although Middlesbrough too had some decent chances in the second half at both 0-1 and 1-1. In the circumstances, that was a decent result, and most of the team did either at least OK, or better.
On the negative side, it seems clear that Adama Traore's time with us is done. I wish him well elsewhere, but his returns and performances for us have been poor. Also, I don't like saying it and others will disagree, but I thought Kevin had a bad game again, I lost count of the number of times he coughed up possession or wasted threatening positions, and he missed a really good chance at 0-1. I hope finally getting a goal will give him some confidence, and he will start to show more consistently his undoubted ability of which we have had only fleeting glances to date. Perhaps he will be like Emil Smith-Rowe, who is now demonstrating why we paid so much for him.
Bring on Round 4!
Show ESR the game video of his ball control going forward and impress on him that's what we paid for......
.......but don't show Harry anything of his performance because it'll cost us a fortune in his contract negotiations...
Thought Middlesbrough were a neat little outfit. Two points above Ipswich having played a game more. Fulham binging on PL players showed them the difference between Champ and PL. Lots of good performances 2nd half.
ESR for me.
Wilson assist pass with the outside of his left boot for Kevin's goal was sublime👏👏👏

Thought Kevin's game was 50/50. Did one thing great, then one thing poorly all game. Ultimately got in a good position to take the goal well so that's a real positive for him.
Not as good a performance as the last 2 games but not bad either imo.
Obviously Wilson wins but Kevin had a good showing, he'd be my second choice. ESR also good.
Quote from: Coastwalker on January 10, 2026, 05:30:11 PMESR for me.
Much improved in the second half but terrible in the first IMO. Everybody was awful in that first 40 mins though
TC transformed the game when he came on.
Wilson is my MOTM. Ran the show when introduced. Excellent goal and assist too. That sublime pass with the outside of his left peg to set up Kevin's goal. WOW!!
ESR
Kevin votes can only be setimental ones sadly.
Cuenca was solid,ESR was excellent,
But over the 90 minutes I would give it to Lukic who was superb for the whole 90 mins plus.
Don't think Adama will get many votes. He was shocking.
Harry and TC changed the game for sure. Kevin is definitely improving but ESR was my MoM. You could see how pleased he was to score.
Also I thought Diop was excellent and surprised he hasn't been mentioned.
ESR covered so much ground today he really has upped his game this season.
The first half performance was shocking and I was surprised that Adama stayed on the pitch as long as he did.
Much, much improved in the second half, obviously and although Boro are a good side, we had too much for them. Their right winger had Sess in knots and that centre half of theirs looked decent too. Hackney was outstanding and I really wouldn't mind him ending up in our colours.
As for MoM? It isn't Kevin but he is improving and he now has the monkey off his back of that missinggoal, I really hope he will kick on. ESR is hitting the heights at long last as well, I am properly pleased for the lad.
MoM for me was Wilson though. Different class.

As I said on another thread earlier today - Hackney would be the player Who would be a good signing for us.

Call him a cab and get him over here
I'm surprised at the criticism of Kevin. I thought his work rate was excellent, defensively he worked hard and made a couple of decent tackles, and, if nothing else, going forward he always seemed to try to make things happen. I like the way he comes in from the wing, making the defenders work very hard.
By contrast Adama had a very poor game. Extremely reluctant to take anyone on. He has always had blinding pace but just seemed scared to use it.
The last 30 minutes Cairney strolled through the game, completely in charge. He was excellent. And Wilson is on another planet at the moment.
Finally, a shout for Lecomte. An early save with his legs was important. And his distribution is very good.
First trio of subs made all the difference. Turned to the family I went with after about 25 mins and said we were missing TC, and he made such a massive difference on the pitch. ESR was good throughout and having the subs we did have him more outlets and support. I think we huffed and puffed a lot in the first half, could've had a few goals but as soon as we made subs it never felt like we wouldn't win. Shoutout to the Boro fans singing "premier league you're having a laugh" for three PL regulars to come on and we scored every 10 mins thereafter, you might be a decent championship team lads but welcome to the big boy league where the standards are miles apart.
Reed, Adama and Sess were all quite poor today. Sess probably rusty coming back from injury, but he was getting roasted down the left quite regularly. Separate thread on Adama I know but he was genuinely honking and I don't think he should play for us again. Think Reed found his level today, I know he scored a banger the other day but he's not good in a team that wants to have the ball because he always takes up positions where you can't pass to him and he's just not versatile.
Side note for my first time in the new Riverside stand. It has an unbelievable view but getting out of it was one hell of a clusterf*ck so not sure if that's a regular issue. Well worth the price of entry and view just to watch TC pull the strings
ESR, Cairney and Wilson were the standouts but overall I went for ESR.
ESR for me. He's such a fun player to watch when he's up for it.
Tom Cairney is still the best player we have, I think these last few games have proven a lot of people wrong about his ability to still cut it at this level.
always wanting the ball and directing play, some of his passing is sublime, especially the assist to ESR.
We should make the most of him while we can, there is no substitute for class.

It was good to see Kusi Asare get 55 minutes. Some good touches and a header that went close but I thought his most memorable moment was when he won possession back in their half with a well timed tackle, one that wasn't a free kick.
Kevin played well, he is much improved and developing into a team player and it was good to see him score his first goal. How anyone could criticise him I have no idea.
ESR looked good.
But it was Harry for me, he who got us going so soon after coming on. We needed a lift and he provided this. ::thumb::
We have to renew his and Marco's contracts.
The most memorable moment for Adama was that he was the player who showed the most response to the us fans watching when he left the team coach, Raul was not far behind.
Esr looks two yards quicker, always looking for the ball and his touch is superb. Got a deserved goal too.

Adama 1st half put in 2 great crosses to the back post but nobody on the end of it.

I don't know about the best as he can't manage 90 mins anymore. I suppose it depends what criteria you judge it on. we have one or two candidates but he is still an outstanding player for us. I love watching him play. Over 90 mins Iwobi and Wilson on current form must be up there, a resurgent ESR is fast becoming very important and even Kevin is showing glimpses of why we paid the money for him. Chuk could be vying for consideration if he maintains form from before Afcon. He also has played limited mins so should be relatively fresh.
Things are looking rosy at the moment but, this is our beloved Fulham.
