Title: Loan watch Jan-Jun β€˜26
Post by: Hatch007 on January 17, 2026, 12:50:23 PM
I thought it might be interesting to have a thread dedicated to the progress of our PL2 players out on loan for the second half of this season.

Aaron Loupalo-Bi: Joined Walsall on loan until the end of the season in January 2026.

Terrell Works: Joined Yeovil Town on loan in January 2026.

Luc De Fougerolles: On loan at F.C.V. Dender (Belgian Pro League).

On 8 August 2025, Sanderson joined National League club Woking on a season-long loan.

Luke Harris, Devan Tanton, and Matt Dibley-Dias returned from loan spells in early January 2026

Aaron is on the bench today for Walsall who are 3rd in League 2. His squad number is 11.

Please feel free to add any I've missed and update the thread at will between now and the end of the season πŸ‘

It would be cool to read reports from FoFers that watch any live matches featuring Fulham loanees.

Woking are at home to Yeovil next Saturday 24th, for example, although we are at home to Brighton.

Tanton and didley dias is a strange one.Chesterfield is a strange one had 8 loans, think they used the system till the older ones were fit,we probably paid their wages sounds a bit iff.Big problem for these two I believe both are 22 bottom div tanton works hard plenty of effort but very lightweight easily knocked off ball.Didley dias youth coaching staff thought he could make 1st team has 1 more year, personally has been injured more times than he has played in the last 4years I think we can forget him for the record another ex Brentford academy same as arolgo

Thanks Mick

Your knowledge and insight into our U21s is unrivalled on this board.

Aaron Loupalo-Bi came on in the 76th minute for his Walsall debut on Saturday. Walsall won away at Tranmere 3-1.

Luke Harris been loaned out to Wycombe. Definite play off chances after a awful start to the season.

Dibley-Dias looked a massive prospect a few years ago I remember him playing away to Burnley one Monday evening he looked outstanding.

Β Add Harvey Araujo to the list of those on loan. Centre back on a season loan to Colchester Utd; happy to play the ball out of defence and also able to cope with the physical aspects of league football.

Not a loan player but academy defender Idris Odutayo who was let go three seasons back, he joined Bromley in the National League. Now six points clear at the top of Football League 2. Some of the fans tip him as player of the season. Seems set on a good career, which is nice to see.

Martial Godo has 8 goals in 19 games for Strasbourg this season, across Ligue 1 and Europe. Did we sell too soon / too cheaply?

Probably an error to sell Godo. We could have done with him as the back up to Wilson on the right. Rosenior a good judge of talent. Godo may end up at Chelsea. Playing extremely well at Strasbourg and scoring. The offer might have been difficult to refuse. With the benefit of hindsight we would have been better off keeping him and selling Traore.

Yes it's good to keep an eye onΒ  our youth loanees, biggest problem is in the premier league not many make it in this league look at the top clubs, few and far between and I'm sure agent's don't help.We have to sacrifice our 21s team to get them out early on loan to see if they will make it at a higher level playing against men if not we might make some return on our investment.Yes some are maturing early like saka,Rooney and our own king needs to score soon or he might get less game time. The under 18s aren't doing so well but are pushed through earlier to 21s at 17 and under 18s have about 3 to 4 under 16s to mature earlier must be done and I see some kids are playing in men's lower league teams to mature them quicker should have done that years ago.I would like to see our squad to have 5 homegrown in our 25 man team would help our finances.Perhaps one day.
