COYW! ::scarf:: :claping20hands:
Have been enjoying TC but suppose he was never going to start every game. Glad to see King back on the bench and hope Sess has a good game. Shame to drop Kevin after his first goal. Weird call that in terms of man management. But hey, hopefully he's raring to go off the bench.

Maybe he needs some rest. Good thing is we again have multiple options of the bench if we need a goal. We have 5 attacking options now.
I don't understand dropping Kevin
Kevin has looked much better last couple of outings. Unfair on him and hardly a confidence builder.
Sess on the left wing? Interesting. Normally Marco likes an inverted winger.
Surprised at the number of changes from a team that won their last match. Very unMarco like. Not a fan at all of Sess starting on the wing (especially when Kevin is an option). Marco may have ditched the back 5 but this is still a defensive lineup.
I don't mind that team at all....just think how much stronger we'll soon be with:-
Bassey
Chukwueze
Iwobi
Muniz
Tete
Today I'm going for a goal from Sess
We now have a very good squad. I don't think that it's a case of players being dropped, but Marco selecting players based upon the opposition. What a great position to be in.
perfect game for Berge and lukic to prove they can play together
I can only think Silva is worried Kevin will get bullied or he is planning on him coming on second half and terrorising the Leeds defence when they're tired.
Finally after years of waiting, we see Sess on the left wing where he is supposed to be

Last season we complained, myself included, that Marco didn't rotate enough.
As I mentioned in another thread recently, Saka was on the bench for Arsenal against Bournemouth then started the next league match against Liverpool.
I'm pretty sure Saka wasn't dropped and Marco has proven himself to be an excellent man-manager.
Perhaps he said to Kevin words to the effect "I want to wear Leeds down, quieten the crowd and bring you on against tired legs to win us the game".
Who knows? 🤷🏻 But I'd take bets that being on the bench has not been portrayed to Kevin as being "dropped" 🙏

I really hope you're right. I don't think I've ever seen Sess on the left wing so let's hope it works.
I would have preferred Diop to Andersen to counteract their big strikers. I think that we will regret it.
If we win and Sess scores, Marco's a hero for making a brave and correct call.
Anything other than victory and the calls of "what if Kevin had started?" will ring loud.
I'm not saying benching Kevin is the right call, we'll know by around 4:55pm.
But we could just have easily started Kevin, he could be anonymous / bullied / injured by a robust Leeds challenge (God forbid) and then some smartass will no doubt ask why we didn't rotate and use the squad.
Who'd be a Manager? 🤦

I think that is the plan, but my concern is Sess is not likely to be 90 minutes fit. So it also leaves no 1st team FB's on the bench which is a bit of a risk.

Bring Diop on and move Cuenca left.

In an interview on the Offal Sess said he was a left full back and that was his preferred position. Hope he does well tiday.
Kevin with a repeat of the home game against Leeds, this time he scores ::scarf::
I'm wondering whether there a continuation of five at the back with one of Robinson, Sess or even possibly Castagne joining Anderson and Cuenca. If Tete were fit he'd be great in a three, it's a bit less obvious to me with these three.
The Leeds dressing room should be left a bit guessing at that lineup.
Quite like the underpinning message - if Sess is fit, he generally starts. He's a very flexible option for us.
The option of a fresh Kevin against a tired Leeds defence, well it has a bit "previous" in its favour!
COYW!
I'm perfectly happy with this. Yes, Kevin is unfortunate, especially after scoring. However Sess is a goal scorer and I'm excited to see him link up with Jedi. It's equally possible to argue that TC is unfortunate but again I can understand Marco's thinking. Great to be able to rotate even when we have three key players not yet back from AFCON.

He's a Left wing/forward and everyone including Sess knows it , can't fault hime today he got switched to right wing and getting no supply
Sessegnon struggling, doesn't look match fit.
We are showing nothing offensively. Would take a point gladly ...
Sess on the right, Wilson in the middle and ESR on the left wasn't working and Marco was way too late to change it.
