The FFC Rumour Mill: Fulham looking at several targets as business picks up
Jack Stroudley looks through all the ongoings at Fulham this week.

We're more than halfway through the January transfer window and we're yet to see an incoming in SW6. Without trying to be too cliche, January is a notoriously tricky time to get business done and with Fulham being usual late bloomers in transfer windows, you'd imagine that we won't see any potential business done until late. While this is frustrating, there have been a fair few exciting murmurs this week, let's take a look.

Incomings
Peter Rutzler has reported that Fulham want two signings this month with a midfielder and a forward being the ideal two positions that Marco Silva will fill ahead of the January deadline on 2 February. The midfielder that looks closest to coming through the door as Arthur Atta, who we've already had a €20m bid rejected for this month. Sky Sports claim that Fulham remain in talks with Udinese for the midfielder with the Italian side wanting €40m for the 23 year old, a valuation deemed too high by the Fulham board.

Despite Reed's heroics against Liverpool and TC still proving to be a decent option off the bench, I think all can see that another body in the middle of the park is needed. I can't see Fulham paying the €40m reported so you'd imagine that we'll begin to look elsewhere for a new recruit, that recruit could be winger/midfielder Oscar Bobb.

Fabrizio Romano reported early on Tuesday that Fulham are in talks with Manchester City over the Norwegian with a £35m proposal being discussed between the two sides who also have interest from German side Borussia Dortmund. Personally, I'd be all over this with the 22-year-old struggling for minutes at City this season despite showing bright sparks last year. A young lad who's shown he can do it in the Premier League and would raise the squad's ceiling would really show ambition from the club. Get it done.

Despite breaking his arm last week, Fulham still remain interested in forward Ricardo Pepi despite PSV's reluctance to sell and with Sky Sports reporting that Fulham aren't giving up on the 23-year-old and Fabrizio Romano claiming that there is still a chance of a deal happening this month.

While I'd be surprised if Fulham paid a large chunk of money for an injured player, it's evident that interest is high and Pepi is seen as a long-term prospect. Will be an interesting one to follow in the latter stages of this window.

With Pepi's injury, Fulham have be looking at other forwards with two Irishmen coming to the forefront. Miguel Delaney is reporting that Fulham are leading Wolfsburg and Real Betis in the race to sign AZ Alkmaar forward Troy Parrott who is valued by the Dutch side at €20m. The second of those according to Mike McGrath is Evan Ferguson. The Telegraph journalist is reporting that Fulham hold a long-term interest having being linked last January with a loan move with a permanent option a potential for Fulham.

Another midfielder who's been mentioned this week is Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with TeamTalk suggesting that Fulham are a number of clubs interested in bringing the former England international back to the Premier League. Personally, I can't see this one happening. There was a lot of bad blood between Fulham fans and RLC during that disastrous COVID season and bringing him back could be a poor move for all involved.

In the wide department, Fulham and Everton are both interested in Wolfsburg winger Patrick Wimmer, alongside a number of European clubs according to Rudy Galetti. Fulham have been linked with Wimmer in the past with the now 24-year-old being viewed as a long-term target.

Outgoings
The incoming news on Oscar Bobb has raised a few question marks regarding the future of Harry Wilson, with TalkSport claiming that Fulham will now face an "uphill battle" to tie down Wilson to a new deal. I'll believe this one when I see it with this more than likely being agent talk pushing for a more lucrative offer from the Fulham board.

There have been a few suggestions that the Bobb deal would facilitate a move for Wilson which I personally cannot see. Competition is exactly what you want in order to succeed and bringing in Bobb doesn't change Wilson's future at the club, if anything it probably guarantees a way out for Adama Traore, with West Ham said to be interested in the oiled-up juggernaut.

Elsewhere, it's been a quiet week with a few names being sent out on loan for the remainder of the season from the academy. Aaron Loupalo-Bi has secured a loan move to League Two side Walsall, and Luke Harris has secured a loan move to League One side Wycombe Wanderers.

Fulham can hijack move for €25m attacker – Leeds United look out of it
Last week, AreaNapoli nudged forward Leeds United as a possible destination for Napoli's Noa Lang, but now it's believed Fulham can now bring the Dutchman to the Premier League.

Leeds United had been linked to Noa Lang for years, going back to his time at Club Brugge. Therefore, that he'd been edged towards Elland Road again caused some amusement for many fans.

The winger joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven permanently in the summer, however, it hasn't all gone to plan.

Lang has had an eventful few months. It all started with a bit of a war of words with Antonio Conte due to a lack of game time. Lang then began featuring more, and has started three of the past four Serie A games.

Despite that, his exit from Naples is possible. Galatasaray have emerged as a suitor but Fulham can hijack Lang's switch to Turkey.

Gianluca di Marzio spoke to Sky Sport about the 26-year-old, mentioning interest from Craven Cottage.

He said – relayed by AreaNapoli: "There could be a new deal for Lang, a permanent transfer and no longer a loan. It could happen with Galatasaray or with a Premier League team trying to get involved, probably Fulham."

The outlet go on to clarify that the winger's sale is likely to be important for Napoli. Lorenzo Lucca is yet to make a decision about his future. This makes the Dutchman's exit a key source of funds for the Italian champions.

Fulham pushed forward as late option
Conte's side paid €25m to land Lang from PSV in the summer. Fulham may be able to get a permanent transfer for a little less, or perhaps a loan with obligation.

Gianluca di Marzio's own website offers a bit more information about the situation. It is reported that Napoli are considering a move for Hellas Verona's Giovane.

A deal for the talent would only go through if Lang is moved on. Even though Galatasaray are progressing in a move for the Netherlands international, interest from Fulham is pushed.

Leeds United, however, appear out of the picture... for now.

Fulham vs Brighton & Hove Albion: How to watch, date, time, live stream and TV channel
After suffering a stoppage-time defeat in the Premier League last weekend, Fulham will be keen to respond quickly when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

Marco Silva's side sit 11th in the table coming into the fixture, with Fabian Hurzeler's Brighton one place and one point behind.

Here, Sports Mole provides details of how to tune into the Premier League contest.

What time does Fulham vs. Brighton kick off?
The match will get underway at 15:00 (UK time) on Saturday afternoon.

Where is Fulham vs. Brighton being played?
Brighton & Hove Albion travel to Craven Cottage, a ground that has recently undergone renovations and now holds 28,800 spectators.

It is the first time the two sides have met in West London since December 2024, when Fulham were 3-1 winners.

How to watch Fulham vs. Brighton in the UK
TV channels

Due to the 15:00 blackout, the game will not be broadcast live in the UK.

Online streaming

The blackout also prevents the match from being streamed live for UK audiences.

Highlights

You can catch highlights of the game on Match of the Day, which will start at 22:30 on BBC One on Saturday.

If you do not want to wait until MOTD, you should be able to find highlights on the BBC Sport website from 20:00.

There is also the option of visiting the Sky Sports app or the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel to find a recap of the contest.

What is at stake for Fulham vs. Brighton?
Fulham's late defeat last weekend will sting, and the hosts will view this as a big chance to stay in touch with the European places.

A win for Fulham could see them go as high as sixth, with the current table being so tight.

Brighton, meanwhile, need to continue their recent good form and momentum if they are to get their underwhelming season back on track.

The Seagulls are looking to extend their unbeaten run to five matches in 2026 after a late draw last time out and an impressive FA Cup win away at Manchester United.

A win at Fulham could push Hurzeler's men up to seventh and further revive what has been an inconsistent campaign.

Fulham man eyed as 'blockbuster signing' – Club building funds to get him in
Club América are aiming to make Fulham star Raúl Jiménez their 'blockbuster signing', after lining their pockets with funds from the Club World Cup.

That's according to Marca, who cover the planned move for the Fulham striker today. They report that América are 'licking their lips' at the prospect of getting Jiménez back.

The return of their 'prodigal son' is one that has been mooted for years. Jiménez has often played up the idea too, admitting he wants to go back to his former club before the end of his career on numerous occasions.

Fox One journalist Rubén Rodríguez has now explained that there's a plan to make that happen. According to him, Club América duo Santiago Baños and Emilio Azcárraga are 'lining their pockets' thanks to the World Cup. And once that is done, they plan to move to sign Jiménez.

He would be available on a free transfer at that point, with his Fulham contract due to expire. There may even be sales at the Mexican club to help further fund the move.

But Jiménez has made it clear he'll also reduce his salary just to play for his old club again. It's a dream he wants to fulfil before his career comes to an end.

Thus, Club América are working to build the required funds and make him a blockbuster signing following the World Cup.

Raúl Jiménez turns 35-years-of-age in May and his time with Fulham, and in the Premier League, may be coming to an end. The forward first moved to England in 2018 with Wolverhampton Wanderers, after a mixed time in Portugal with Benfica.

He last played in Mexico in 2014.

Fulham now interested in signing "incredible" £24m Champions League forward
Fulham have now joined Everton in the race to sign an "incredible" attacker, as they continue to assess options to strengthen their forward line this month.

Cottagers could be busy before transfer deadline
The Cottagers are yet to make any new signings during the January transfer window, but they could be busy before the February 2nd deadline, having set out to make a number of additions in attacking areas.

Manchester City's Oscar Bobb is among the main targets, and Fabrizio Romano recently revealed an offer has already been made for the Norwegian winger.

As Rodrigo Muniz has been sidelined since November due to a hamstring injury, Marco Silva's side have also tried to bring in a new striker, with PSV Eindhoven's Ricardo Pepi among the targets, but the Dutch side have thus far been unwilling to sanction a departure.

According to Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, Fulham have also set their sights on a versatile forward, who is capable of playing on both wings and at centre-forward, with it emerging they have been showing interest in signing Napoli's Noa Lang.

Di Marzio states Lang is a 'prime candidate' to leave the Italian side this month, and a number of clubs from across Europe have been named as potential suitors, including Galatasaray and Everton.

It is unclear what sort of fee Napoli would be looking to receive for the forward, but he arrived at the Serie A side from PSV for £24m back in the summer, which could provide a reference point.

"Incredible" Lang could be risky signing for Fulham
In truth, the Dutchman's Napoli career is yet to truly take off, failing to score in his opening six Champions League games, but he was very impressive in front of goal in the Eredivisie during his two seasons at PSV.

Season       Eredivisie appearances        Goal involvements
2023-24       11        6
2024-25       29        21

Hailed as "incredible" by journalist Jacob Schneider, the 26-year-old has also started to establish himself at international level, scoring three goals in 15 caps for the Netherlands, and as previously mentioned, his versatility could be useful to Silva.

That said, it would be a risk to sign the Napoli ace, given that he remains unproven in one of Europe's major leagues, playing for Belgian side Club Brugge and Dutch giants Ajax prior to moving to the Serie A.

Having scored just one goal in 18 league outings this term, there are some doubts over whether Lang would be a good addition for Fulham, but it could be a gamble worth taking, if he is available for a relatively low fee.

Games for the Weekend 24/01
We get to welcome Brighton to the Cottage for a 3 o'clock kick off
(https://www.friendsoffulham.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/2526-Brighton-H.png)
Losing an unbeaten run the way it happened always stings, but it didn't really feel like a game where we did quite enough to earn the three points.
Whilst it was a frustrating result, it doesn't feel like a turning point in a negative sense — more like a reminder of how fine the margins are at this level. If the response is right, there's still plenty to be excited about.

The positives are definitely there though. Getting both Sessegnon and King back is huge in itself; match sharpness will come, and both add things we've clearly missed. Sess in particular just needs minutes — the quality is obvious when he's fully fit.

Having the AFCON lads back makes a big difference also. The squad suddenly looks deeper and more balanced, especially in midfield and defensively, and Muniz returning to training gives us another genuine option up front rather than running poor old Raúl into the ground.

If we can:

    keep key players fit
add even one or two ready-made reinforcements
and cut out those lapses late in games

then top half is absolutely realistic, and Europe isn't fantasy either — especially with how inconsistent the teams around us have been.

Our record against Brighton is interesting as well, we first played them in 1928 division three(south), with 27 wins, 23 losses and 9 draws.
The last, Premier League, 11 games 5 wins, 1 loss and 5 draws.
Slightly in our favour "overall", and that recent PL run (only 1 loss in 11) shows we generally match up well with them, even if it's often tight and cagey.

I don't think that Lukic, Muniz or Tete will be available and I think Marco will have 2 of the 3 AFCON lads on the bench so team would be...

Over 6,000 Man United supporters set to protest ownership as Fulham statement made
While the mood at Manchester United has been lifted by the triumph over Manchester City, another protest is set to take place at Old Trafford

Manchester United supporter group 'the 1958' have announced there will be another protest against the Glazer family and Sir Jim Ratcliffe at the home clash against Fulham - with over 6,000 set to take part.

This weekend, Michael Carrick's side travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Premier League leaders Arsenal. But in the following home match against the Cottagers, there will be a demonstration against the Glazers and minority shareholder Ratcliffe, who has been overseeing the football operations at the club.

The Glazers have been a target for United supporters since they took over the club in 2005, while there is also dissatisfaction with Ratcliffe since he bought 27.7% of the club as part of a £1.6billion deal. As frustration continues to reverberate around the fan base, the 1958 confirmed there will be further protests against the United figureheads.

A spokesperson for the 1958 said: "Jim Ratcliffe chose to get into bed with the Glazers and, in our opinion, is helping to keep them in charge. Twenty-one years of a debt mountain, mismanagement and financial greed is 21 years too long. Enough is enough."

They also added: "We will not be complicit. Jim Ratcliffe, you have chosen your side, and it is not ours. You now stand shoulder to shoulder with the Glazers. You are no saviour.

"For many, you come across as a clown, fumbling from one disaster to another, hopelessly out of your depth at one of the world's greatest football institutions, adored by millions. We were promised best in class, but for us the club is a laughing stock resembling a circus, and that includes the new stadium design."

Further explaining the decision to protest, they also said: "Earlier this season, we asked supporters if they wanted to protest. Many chose to give Ratcliffe time.

"That time has been squandered. The situation is undeniably worse. We beat City, but one swallow does not make a summer. This is not about Carrick and results. It is about our ownership.

"We have been down this path of false hope too many times. History shows what happens at our club with the dysfunctional ownership model we have. They are like a boomerang, and we cannot move on until they are gone."

t's also been claimed by the group that they are expecting "well over the estimated 5,000-6,000 who marched peacefully against Arsenal last May" and "the biggest ever protest against Manchester United's owners, for the first time also officially directed at Sir Jim Ratcliffe".

United's recent victory over City saw the Reds move into fifth position, which could be enough to see them qualify for the Champions League, depending on the performances of English clubs in European competition this season. In March last year, Ratcliffe backed Ruben Amorim, only to sack him at the start of 2026.

The club are looking for a third permanent manager after already sacking Ten Hag and the Portuguese boss. Carrick has started well, but his time in the dugout is only expected to be until the end of the campaign.

What transfer deals Fulham could do before January window closes
Whites could be active in market before February 2 deadline

Fulham could be active in the final few days of the January transfer window.

Here, Standard Sport assesses what deals could be done at Craven Cottage before the deadline on February 2.

What has already been done
Goalkeeper Steven Benda has returned to Fulham after spending the first half of the campaign at Millwall.

Midfielder Luke Harris was playing regularly in the Championship for Oxford United but was recalled and then loaned to Wycombe.

What else they need
Fulham want to add more quality in attacking positions, with wide forwards and strikers among their targets.

A midfielder is on their wishlist, too.

Now or in the summer?
Fulham are keen on signing Oscar Bobb from City for around £35million, and that deal would be completed now rather than the summer, but Bobb has other suitors.

A host of players are out of contract in the summer, including striker Raul Jiménez and their player of the season so far in Harry Wilson.

Fulham chiefs are desperate to keep Wilson.

Possible ins and outs
Ricardo Pepi, the 22-year-old USA striker, was of interest this month but faces two months out with a broken arm.

Brighton striker Evan Ferguson, on loan at Roma, has been linked.

Fulham have also explored a deal for the French defensive midfielder Arthur Atta.

A £17.5m bid this month was rejected by Udinese, whose £35m asking price is viewed as too high by Fulham.

Fulham hope to sign Ricardo Pepi for €35 million
Fulham are reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old USMNT international Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven in the winter transfer window.

Fulham are hoping to sign Ricardo Pepi this month, and they are ready to submit a new offer of around €35 million, according to a report by Dutch outlet Soccer News. The American striker is valued at €45 million, but the London club is hoping to sign him for a more reasonable fee. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

Fulham have enjoyed an impressive first half of the 2025/26 season, and they will look to push for European qualification. Signing quality players this month could help them sustain their current run and perhaps improve, thus explaining their interest in Pepi.

Pepi has 13 goal contributions to his name, and he has proven himself in the Netherlands. There is no doubt that he has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in English football. The 23-year-old could be a player for Fulham.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be exciting for him. It would be a step up in the young striker's career, and he would get to test himself against top-quality players in English football.

Regular football in England could help him improve as a player and fulfil his potential. It remains to be seen whether the West London club can get the deal across the line. A deal worth €35 million is a substantial sum for the player, and the Eredivisie outfit could be tempted despite their €45 million valuation.

Pepi could fancy the move
If Ricardo Pepi decides to push for a move to the West London club, the Dutch outfit will be under pressure to sanction his departure. This is a golden opportunity for the USMNT international to move on and take up an attractive challenge. He will not want to miss out on the move.

Meanwhile, Fulham will look to bring in the right additions before the January transfer window. The Cottagers have done quite well in the first half of the campaign, and they have a real shot at finishing the season high in the table. They will not want to jeopardise that chance by failing to improve the team in January. They are 11th in the table, just four points adrift of the top four.

Ricardo Pepi transfer news: PSV striker told why he should join Fulham as ex-USMNT international makes strong case for Premier League switch
USMNT star Ricardo Pepi has been told that a move to Fulham, allowing him to take on a Premier League challenge, could make perfect sense. The 23-year-old striker has endured unfortunate timing on the injury front at PSV, but Brad Friedel has told GOAL why he should be keeping the door open when it comes to reported interest in his services from Craven Cottage.

Pepi's career in Europe: Title winner flourished in the Netherlands
El Paso native Pepi left Texas in 2022 when linking up with German side Augsburg. He never got much of a look in there, with no goals being recorded through 16 appearances, but found his spark in the Netherlands.

A loan spell at Groningen in 2022-23 proved to be particularly productive, as he found the target on 13 occasions. Those efforts helped to earn the United States international a $10 million (£7m) transfer to PSV.

Regular starts have not always been easy to come by in Eindhoven, but Pepi has registered 37 goals through 90 appearances - becoming a two-time Eredivisie title winner along the way. He is now a proven performer in Europe, having also graced the Champions League stage.

Pepi is considered to be a leading contender to fill one of the attacking berths in Mauricio Pochettino's squad at the 2026 World Cup - allowing him to grace a major tournament on home soil. It could be that he is on the move at club level before then.

Premier League challenge: Why Pepi fits the mould for Fulham
Fulham have been credited with interest in Pepi, having enjoyed considerable success with USMNT stars Antonee Robinson and Tim Ream, and Friedel - speaking in association with betting on Champions League matches today - has told GOAL why a switch to west London could be beneficial.

He said: "I think that is a good size club for him. He's very good in the box, he gets himself in some excellent positions and is good in the air. If you see the type of goals that Fulham score, I think he would fit in with a team like that.

"If it was a team that was just full on possession based, one-twos on the top of the box and not much flank play, I would say probably not the right fit. But the way Fulham play, the way their team is, the pace they have on the outside and the service they get around the box, I think he would fit that system really well."

Jimenez replacement? Fulham looking for more firepower
Fulham currently have Mexico international striker Raul Jimenez on their books, and he is well versed in the demands of Premier League action. The 34-year-old will, however, be out of contract in the summer and may be heading towards free agency.

That situation could also play into Pepi's hands, with Friedel adding: "They might see him as a replacement, a younger version. And in the Premier League you do need two/three strikers to go through the whole season. No striker goes through every single game at a club like Fulham. You do need other weapons and I do think he would fit that system."

Broken arm: Unfortunate injury for Pepi ahead of 2026 World Cup
Part of the problem for Pepi is that he suffered a broken arm in PSV's clash with Excelsior on January 10. He has been forced to undergo an operation and is expected to be ruled out for two months - which could lead to potential suitors turning their attention elsewhere.

PSV boss Peter Bosz has said when delivering an update on Pepi: "Ricardo has had surgery and fortunately that went well. He now has to take it easy before he can start his rehabilitation.

"It's incredibly galling for himself, but also for us as a team. I would have liked to have had him in, because he is a great striker who scores goals. Every team wants to have a player like that. At the same time, I am sure he will come back stronger from this. Unfortunately, this is also part of football. He has actually rarely been injured, but this season he has been unlucky with his knee and now with his forearm."

Pepi will be hoping to fire on all cylinders again before the summer, allowing him to make a first World Cup squad - having been left out in 2022. A positive end to the domestic season, before catching the eye internationally, should help to keep the likes of Fulham keen.

Barrow man targeted Fulham footballer with online racial abuse
A South Cumbrian internet troll and court worker who told a Premier League star I hope your family dies — and branded him a slave — has been banned from attending professional football matches for three years.

Liverpool fan Harry Brown, 25, of Maple Street, Barrow, used direct Instagram messages to target Brazilian-born Fulham player Rodrigo Muniz on two different dates during the 2024-25 season.

Brown sent racist abuse to the centre forward after he had scored goals in home and away matches against Liverpool.

On Saturday December 14 2024, Mr Muniz netted for Fulham against Liverpool in a 2-2 Premier League draw on Merseyside.

Following the end of that fixture, the player received several direct messages from Brown which stated "f****** slave", "hope your family dies" and also "hope your family gets hurt".

Mr Muniz did not report the messages at that time. "I just tried to ignore them," he later told police.

Mrs Jackson said: "It was as a result of him scoring against Liverpool. The defendant is a Liverpool fan."

On April 6 2025, Brown sent two more direct messages after Mr Muniz played — and scored — again as Fulham beat Liverpool 3-2 in a return league game.
One contained a monkey emoji and Brown used the word "slave" again.

Mr Muniz screenshotted the offensive content, reported it to his club and police were alerted.

"The defendant was then arrested at his place of work, which was Barrow Magistrates' Court," prosecutor Diane Jackson told Carlisle Magistrates' Court today.

At the time, Brown worked for firm GEOAmey in the Barrow court cells.

In a statement, Mr Muniz had said: "I was disgusted and offended by these comments and it is my opinion that the monkey emoji and using the term 'slave' was sent as a racial insult due to my heritage. Also wishing for my family to be hurt or die is grossly offensive.

"My family still live in Brazil but makes the comments worse," the player also stated. "I had no previous interaction with this account before the messages."

Brown admitted sending an offensive electronic communication to Mr Muniz on two separate occasions, for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety. The charges were brought under the Malicious Communications Act 1988.

Brown — a man of previous good character — fully admitted his criminal conduct when interviewed by police.

During a sentencing hearing, defence solicitor Trystan Roberts, mitigating, said Brown was utterly and thoroughly ashamed of himself.

"He has made a very, very foolish error, on two occasions, when his temper, his anger and emotions got the better of him. He has hit out in a way which is, in hindsight, was disgusting," added the solicitor.

Brown received a 12-month community order. He must complete probation service rehabilitation work and 150 hours' community service.

He was also given a three-year banning order which prevents him attending Premier League, Football League and England matches for three years.

"Rodrigo Muniz Carvalho is entitled to go about his lawful business without being threatened, racially abused and have his own family threatened by you," Brown was told by district judge Philip Holden. "What you did was to engage in tribal behaviour of a racist nature."

After the sentencing, Chief Inspector Kim Brown, Cumbria Constabulary, said: "We stand against racism and condemn the vile abuse which Brown sent to Mr Muniz.

"Hate crime, in person or online, is never acceptable and you cannot hide behind a social media profile to post these despicable comments.

" With the support of Mr Muniz, we have pursued this case to hold Brown accountable for his actions.

"There is simply no place for this in society, and we will continue to bring offenders to justice.

"I want to commend Mr Muniz for his strength to stand up and speak out. I also want to thank the Premier League, the UK Football Policing Unit and Cumbria police's dedicated football officers for their determination to this investigation.

"They worked together to gather the evidence, identify the social media account and the person behind it, before locating and arresting him. I want to reassure any person out there who is subject to this level of racist abuse, that we will listen and we will seek to take action."

U21: Boro preview
Fulham Under-21s host Middlesbrough on Friday night in PL2 action at Motspur Park.

A win over Boro would take Hayden Mullins' side to the summit of the PL2 table, with other title contenders set to play their matches later in the weekend.

Our Young Whites

Last weekend's 2-2 comeback draw against Man United stretched our unbeaten run in PL2 to double figures – with Mullins' men now half a season without defeat.

Naturally, January has brought around plenty of turnover in the squad, with the likes of Chibby Nwoko, Aaron Loupalo-Bi, Terrell Works and Marco Underwood heading out on loan.

However, that's presented opportunities for a number of our players, with Seth Chingwaro, Dino Kaiser and Tom Wingate stepping up in the last couple of weeks, and adapting well to U21s football.

Another player who continues to rise to the occasion is Farhaan Ali Wahid, with his brace against Man United salvaging a point and taking his goal contributions tally to nine in seven starts.

The opposition

Boro's 6-1 thumping of third-placed Ipswich last weekend was only their third victory of the season. A glance at the scoreline would suggest that it was a shock result, but Boro's squad was strong.

Their starting XI mostly featured of players who were on the bench in the First Team's 3-2 win over West Brom last Friday.

There were 40 2025/26 Championship appearances in their starting XI, while Finley Munroe and Law McCabe started following loan spells at Swindon Town and Plymouth Argyle respectively.

Among that experience was a young player making a mark on his full PL2 debut. 17-year-old Cruz Ibeh was handed his first U21s start and grabbed the headlines with a hat-trick against the Tractor Boys.

Priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions, tickets will be available at Motspur Park reception on the evening of the game.

Wilson talks over new Fulham deal on hold
Harry Wilson's talks with Fulham over a new deal are on hold amid growing Premier League interest in the Wales forward.

Wilson is out of contract at the end of the season, and Fulham are yet to reach an agreement over an extension despite making a priority of securing his future.

It is understood that Wilson would prefer to have clarity on the future of head coach Marco Silva, who is also out of contract in the summer, before making a final decision over any new deal.

Despite the prospect of losing the 28-year-old for nothing at the end of the season, Silva has publicly there is "zero chance" that Wilson would be sold in this month's transfer window.

Wilson has emerged as one of the Premier League's in-form players.

He has scored six goals in his previous 12 games in all competitions - taking his season's tally for Fulham and Wales to 12, with five direct assists.

It is understood a number of top-flight clubs have expressed an interest in signing Wilson during the window, with Aston Villa, Brentford, Everton and Crystal Palace among those monitoring his situation before the 2 February deadline.

Several English and European sides are expected to join the race in the summer if he leaves on a free transfer.

Fulham have held talks with Manchester City over a potential £35m deal for Oscar Bobb, who also operates on the right side of attack.

If the Cottagers can pull off a deal for Bobb, 22, it remains to be seen as to whether the club's stance on Wilson changes later in the transfer window.

Wilson joined Fulham from Liverpool in 2021 - initially on loan - in a deal worth £12m and has made 171 appearances, scoring 33 goals.

Preview: Fulham vs Brighton & Hove Albion - prediction, team news, lineups
Eleventh faces 12th in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as Fulham welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Craven Cottage.

The Cottagers and the Seagulls butt heads for the first time since the opening weekend of the season in August when they played out a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.

Match preview
Fulham's six-game unbeaten run in the Premier League - picking up points against Liverpool (1-1) and Chelsea (2-1) - was ended last weekend, as they suffered a slender 1-0 defeat away against Leeds United, four months after winning the reverse fixture by the same scoreline.

Lukas Nmecha's 91st-minute winner condemned the Cottagers to their ninth league loss of the campaign and they have subsequently slipped down to 11th in the table, albeit just four points behind fifth-placed Man United who they will face at Old Trafford on February 1.

Marco Silva's side finished the defeat to Leeds with just a single shot on target in 90 minutes and generated an xG of 0.39, while they also had just seven touches in Leeds' penalty box, their fewest in a Premier League match since December 2024 when they had only three at home against Arsenal.

Keen to swiftly move on from their Elland Road setback, Fulham will welcome a return to Craven Cottage this weekend, as they have accumulated 64.5% of their Premier League points on home soil this season (20/31), winning six of those games out of 11 and scoring 19 goals in the process.

The Cottagers head into their contest against Brighton with an unbeaten record in all five of their Premier League home encounters with the Seagulls (W4 D1) - including a 3-1 success last season - having previously lost three in a row against them in the Championship.

Brighton have only won one of their last nine Premier League games (D5 L3), but since losing 2-1 away against leaders Arsenal on December 27, the Seagulls have put together a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions, drawing three of their last four top-flight matches with West Ham, Man City and Bournemouth.

Fabian Hurzeler's men were on course to suffer their first defeat of 2026 at home to the Cherries on Monday before 18-year-old Charalampos Kostoulas scored a superb bicycle kick in second-half stoppage time to salvage a 1-1 draw for the 12th-placed Seagulls, who sit only five points behind the top five with 16 games still to play.

Brighton are building a reputation as comeback specialists, as they have avoided defeat in a division-high eight Premier League matches when conceding the first goal so far this season (W3 D5), coming from behind to draw their last two against Bournemouth and Man City (both 1-1).

However, the Seagulls have struggled to grind out positive results in the capital, as they have won only two of their last 18 Premier League away matches against London clubs (D7 L9), with those two wins coming against Tottenham in May last season and Chelsea in September.

Against Saturday's opponents Fulham, Brighton have won just one of their 11 top-flight meetings (D5 L5), their lowest win rate against any team they have faced more than twice (9%).

Team News
Fuham's Sasa Lukic was forced off with a muscle injury in the defeat to Leeds and has joined Rodrigo Muniz (thigh) in the treatment room, while Kenny Tete (thigh) and Emile Smith Rowe (knock) will both be assessed ahead of kickoff.

However, Marco Silva will be boosted by the return of Nigerian trio Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze following their spells away at the Africa Cup of Nations, and all three players could be in contention to start this weekend.

In-form attacker Harry Wilson could either operate in a central role or battle for a start out wide with Chukwueze, Kevin, Ryan Sessegnon and Adama Traore, while Raul Jimenez is expected to continue up front - all five of the Mexican's PL goals have put Fulham one goal ahead in a game this season, the highest such 100% record of any player.

As for Brighton, Mats Wieffer (toe), Solly March, Adam Webster and Stefanos Tzimas (all knee) all remain sidelined with injuries, while Maxim De Cuyper missed the draw with Bournemouth due to illness and will be assessed ahead of kickoff this weekend.

Hurzeler will consider recalling midfield duo Carlos Baleba and Yasin Ayari, but Jak Hinshelwood and Pasal Gross may be preferred in the first XI, wile 40-year-old James Milner is another midfield option available for selection.

The Seagulls boss may also consider freshening up his attack by handing Georginio Rutter and Yankuba Minteh starts in the final third at the expense of Diego Gomez and Brajan Gruda, while Danny Welbeck is the most likely Brighton player to lead the line.

Fulham possible starting lineup:
Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Iwobi; Chukwueze, Wilson, Kevin; Jimenez

Brighton & Hove Albion possible starting lineup:
Verbruggen; Veltman, Dunk, Van Hecke, Kadioglu; Ayari, Gross; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck

We say: Fulham 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion
Five of the last 11 meetings between Fulham and Brighton have ended all square and another closely-contested battle could be on the cards between two evenly-matched teams this weekend.

The Cottagers will be considered as slight favourites considering their strong home record and Brighton's struggles in London, but we are backing the Seagulls to claim at least a share of the spoils on this occasion.

Fulham lineup vs. Brighton: Predicted XI for Premier League clash
Fulham could be without four players for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at Craven Cottage.

Sasa Lukic was forced off with a muscle injury in the Cottagers' 1-0 defeat at Leeds United last weekend and has joined Rodrigo Muniz (thigh) in the treatment room, while Kenny Tete (thigh) and Emile Smith Rowe (knock) will both be assessed ahead of kickoff

However, head coach Marco Silva will be boosted by the return of Nigerian trio Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze following their spells away at the Africa Cup of Nations, and all three players could be in contention to start this weekend.

Bassey could replace Jorge Cuenca at centre-back and join Timothy Castagne, Joachim Andersen and Antonee Robinson in a four-man defence, protecting goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

In the absence of Lukic, Iwobi could be deployed as a deep-lying midfielder alongside Sander Berge, unless Silva wishes to play Iwobi further forward and use either Harrison Reed or captain Tom Cairney in the middle of the pitch.

In-form Harry Wilson could either operate in a central role or battle for a start out wide with Chukwueze, Kevin, Ryan Sessegnon and Adama Traore, while Raul Jimenez is expected to continue up front – all five of the Mexican's Premier League goals have put Fulham one goal ahead in a game this season, the highest such 100% record of any player.

Man who sent racial abuse to footballer sentenced
A man who sent abusive online messages to a Premier League footballer which included a monkey emoji and wishing death on his family has been sentenced.

Harry Brown, 25, from Barrow, targeted Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz after he scored in both home and away matches against Liverpool in 2024 and 2025.

Brown sent messages saying "hope your family dies" followed by a monkey emoji and another message which called Muniz a "slave".

Brown previously admitted two malicious communications offences at Carlisle Magistrates' Court and has now been handed a three-year football banning order and ordered to undertake 150 hours of unpaid work.

Sentencing him, district judge Philip Holden told Brown: "Rodrigo Muniz Carvalho is entitled to go about his lawful business without being threatened, racially abused and have his own family threatened by you.

"What you did was to engage in tribal behaviour of a racist nature."

The court previously heard that after Muniz scored against Liverpool during the 2-2 draw at Anfield on 14 December 2024, Brown referred to Muniz as a "slave" and said he hoped the Brazilian's family "gets hurt".

Then, after Fulham beat Liverpool 3-2 in the return fixture on 6 April, Brown, of Maple Street, sent another abusive message which included a monkey emoji.

'Disgusted and offended'
Muniz screenshotted the offensive content after the second lot of abuse, reported it to his club and police were alerted.

"The defendant was then arrested at his place of work, which was Barrow Magistrates' Court," prosecutor Diane Jackson told the court on Thursday.

At the time, Brown worked for firm GEOAmey in the Barrow court cells.

In a statement, Mr Muniz said: "I was disgusted and offended by these comments and it is my opinion that the monkey emoji and using the term 'slave' was sent as a racial insult due to my heritage.

"Also wishing for my family to be hurt or die is grossly offensive."

Solicitor Trystan Roberts, mitigating, said Brown was "utterly and thoroughly ashamed of himself".

"He has made a very, very foolish error, on two occasions, when his temper, his anger and emotions got the better of him.

"He has hit out in a way which is, in hindsight, was disgusting."

In a statement, Fulham said: "Today's sentencing sends a clear and strong message that abuse in any form will not be tolerated.

"This also serves as a reminder that online abusers could face serious consequences and that there is no protection of hiding place for people posting hateful comments."

Ch Insp Kim Brown of Cumbria Police said the force "condemned the vile abuse", adding that Brown "cannot hide behind a social media profile to post these despicable comments".

Everton told they could have a chance at Harry Wilson deal due to what Marco Silva is doing
Everton want to sign Harry Wilson from Fulham.

The Wales international has now entered the final six months of his contract, putting several clubs on red alert as he enjoys a spectacular season – netting eight goals and assisting a further five in 25 appearances so far this term.

The BBC have now provided an update on Harry Wilson for Everton fans to digest – with Marco Silva at the centre of the story.

Marco Silva is hesitating over a new contract at Fulham and it could see Harry Wilson depart
The BBC now state that the Welshman is reluctant to sign a new contract at Fulham due to the uncertainty surrounding Silva as well.

As it happens, the former Everton boss also sees his terms at Craven Cottage expire in July, and it is said that Wilson has put discussions over a new deal on hold until he receives clarity over the 48-year-old's situation.

Therefore, the longer Silva continues to hesitate over his own future in west London, the more Everton fans can dream of the Fulham No.8 moving to Merseyside this winter.

In the meantime, another potentially decisive development is progressing, as Fulham are close to signing Oscar Bobb in a £35m move from Manchester City – a player who operates in the same areas as Wilson out on the right of the attack.

The BBC explicitly state that Fulham signing the Norway international may open the door to a late exit for Wilson closer to transfer deadline day on 2nd February.

Everton should put a bid on the table after losing Jack Grealish to injury
David Moyes could potentially move Iliman Ndiaye out to the left flank after Jack Grealish suffered a serious foot injury – which may rule him out for three months.

With Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling also struggling to impress on the right wing this season, a move for Wilson – who thrives when cutting inside on his stronger left foot – now makes even more sense for Everton.

It feels like a transfer saga which will open up a bit more as we approach deadline day, so Everton will have to be patient, but the Toffees could inject some urgency into the situation by making a bid now.

The BBC add that Aston Villa, Brentford and Crystal Palace are monitoring Wilson too, so Everton would be making a significant statement by submitting an offer now.

Statement on online abuse of Rodrigo Muniz
The Fulham Supporters' Trust would like to send our support to the family and friends of Rodrigo Muniz following the sentencing of a man this afternoon for racially abusing the Fulham forward. Rodrigo's achievements since joining Fulham Football Club should be celebrated rather than denigrated.

There is no place for discrimination in sport or society. The Trust would like to thank Fulham Football Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team, the Premier League, UK Football Policing Unit, Cumbria Police and the Metropolitan Police for their efforts in ensuring the perpetrator of this crime will now face the consequences of their actions.

The Trust are proud of our work on equality, diversity and inclusion over the past two decades and will continue to work with Fulham Football Club to make sure that the beautiful game remains welcoming and accessible to all.

Fulham face race against time to extend Harry Wilson deal
Fulham face a pressure situation with regards to Harry Wilson's contract situation as Everton and Leeds United circle the Welshman.

According to TEAMtalk, Fulham are coming under pressure to find a solution to Harry Wilson's contractual situation. Not only is the Welsh attacker's deal expiring in the summer, but Leeds United and Everton are already circling to find a way to convince the player to make the move away from Craven Cottage.

There were rumours back in the summer heavily linking Harry Wilson with a departure. In hindsight, a decision to sell him then would have made sense given his contract will expire in the summer of 2026, which did leave the Cottagers with an opportunity to cash in.

Moreover, Fulham made late moves for Samuel Chukwueze and Kevin to shore up the wide areas, which may have made Wilson dispensable. However, the Welshman has enjoyed a tremendous season by contributing to 13 goals, including 11 in the Premier League alone.

Harry Wilson has been Fulham's best attacker this season, and at the moment, offloading him will make the club look silly. Fulham have been angling for a new contract since the end of last summer's window, and it appears Wilson already has a contract offer from the club on the table, which remains without his signature.

Fulham face a race against time to find an agreement with the player or risk losing him on a free transfer. Everton and Leeds United are already circling to sign the Welsh wide man, probably as a summer target rather than in the present moment.

Will Fulham renew Harry Wilson's deal?
Fulham are certainly facing a pressure situation to get a deal in place with Wilson and his camp, with the general expectation that the club to get it done before the end of the month. Amid heavy interest in Oscar Bobb and the Cottagers' position as the favourites to land the Manchester City winger, there may be concerns from the Wilson camp about losing his place in Marco Silva's side.

However, Fulham are reportedly insisting that Bobb is seen more as a replacement for West Ham United-linked Adama Traore, who is widely expected to join the Hammers this month. It remains to be seen whether Harry Wilson and his camp are about to sign on the new deal or delay a decision to gauge the interest from other suitors, such as Everton or Leeds United, moving forward.

Talks opened: Aston Villa now pushing to sign ex-Fulham star after being offered deal
Aston Villa are currently in talks over the structure of a potential deal for one ex-Fulham star after being offered the chance to sign him, according to a new report.

Aston Villa eye new midfielder after Boubacar Kamara injury
Villa are scrambling for midfield cover after losing Boubacar Kamara for the rest of the season, and they've set their sights on a few interesting targets.

Kamara lasted just nine minutes in their FA Cup win over Spurs before hobbling off with a devastating knee problem that'll keep him out for Villa's final 16 Premier League matches.

It's a nightmare blow for the French midfielder, who already missed eight months in 2024 with a ruptured ACL.

Now, boss Unai Emery needs a replacement fast. Reports suggest Villa are eyeing former Chelsea man Ruben Loftus-Cheek as one option, following his struggle for game time under new AC Milan boss Max Allegri this season.

The 29-year-old's managed just 1,190 minutes in 23 appearances for the Italian giants, making him gettable, but Romano has reported that Milan are attempting to tie Loftus-Cheek down with a new deal to stop him leaving on the cheap.

Milan have slapped a £13m price tag on him, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via Milan Reports). That's way cheaper than what Villa would've paid for Conor Gallagher before Spurs nicked him for £34m earlier this month.

Romano also reported this evening that Villa are weighing up a potential reunion with Douglas Luiz, who'd re-join the Midlands side on loan from Juventus after terminating his current Nottingham Forest spell.

That being said, they face stiff competition from Chelsea for the Brazilian, with both sides considering a temporary deal.

Villa are also said to have made an approach for Club Brugge star Raphael Onyedika (Sacha Tavolieri), but Turkish Süper Lig champions Galatasaray are believed to be the frontrunners there.

Going back to Lofus-Cheek, The Mail and journalist Simon Jones have shared a key update.

Aston Villa hopeful of Loftus-Cheek deal with talks ongoing
According to their information, the ex-Fulham and Crystal Palace star remains a key target for Emery, and talks are ongoing over the structure of a potential deal.

Villa are accelerating efforts to bring Loftus-Cheek back to the Premier League from Milan as they scramble for midfield reinforcement, with the club apparently 'pressing ahead' with a move.

The Mail, contrary to Romano's report on new deal talks, also says Villa have been offered the chance to sign the Englishman.

Loftus-Cheek represents an experienced option who knows English football inside out following his lengthy Chelsea career, plus his loan spells at Palace and Fulham.

Milan are allegedly willing to sell after the England international struggled for consistent minutes under Allegri, having started just eight of his 19 Serie A matches.

This suggests his Rossoneri future looks uncertain, potentially making negotiations smoother for Villa.

Villa aren't putting all their eggs in one basket, though.

The Mail reiterate that Luiz has been offered back to his old club alongside Club Brugge's Onyedika.

The Luiz option would represent a remarkable U-turn after Villa sold him to Juventus for £42m in 2024, but his familiarity with Emery's system could prove tempting.

Villa face crucial decisions with the transfer deadline fast approaching.

Getting Kamara's replacement wrong could derail their entire season, so this is pivotal call.

Fulham join race to sign Noa Lang
Fulham are interested in signing the Napoli attacker Noa Lang during the January transfer window.

They hope to add more depth to the attacking unit, and the 26-year-old could be a useful acquisition. According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, the London club is looking to sign the 26-year-old before the window closes, and it will be interesting to see if they submit an offer for him. Fulham tried to sign the player before he joined Napoli.

They have done quite well this season, and they are pushing for a place in the top half. They need more quality in the final third, and the 26-year-old would be a useful acquisition for them. The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be exciting for Lang as well. It would be a step up in his career, and he would get to test himself in English football.

Noa Lang could be a useful signing
He has the physical and technical attributes for Premier League football, and it remains to be seen whether he can make an immediate impact if the move goes through. Fulham have a talented squad, but they need more depth to sustain their current run of form. It is no surprise that they are looking at attacking reinforcements. They have been linked with multiple attackers in recent days. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in the right additions before the January window closes.

It remains to be seen whether Napoli is prepared to sanction his departure in the middle of the season. They are pushing for the league title, and they might not want to weaken the team.

Meanwhile, Napoli are hoping to sign the Verona attacker Giovane. They will only be able to get the deal across the line if they manage to get rid of a player. Lang has been identified as an expendable asset. He is attracting attention from clubs in Turkey as well. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually. It is clear that Napoli are looking at other players, and it would be wise for the 26-year-old to move on.
