'Heading towards deal'– Fulham willing to pay substantial amount to secure signing
Fulham were keen on signing PSV Eindhoven's Ricardo Pepi in the winter market and made multiples offers.

The English club first offered €25m and then returned with a €35m bid at the end of the window.

Earlier this month, PSV technical director Earnie Stewart explained there wasn't sufficient time to find a replacement for Pepi. This convinced them to reject Fulham's late offer.

On February 6th, Sport Witness covered claims from the Netherlands suggesting that a tax issue may have paused Fulham transfer.

Fulham not giving up on Pepi
The January disappointment won't put off Marco Silva's side from making a fresh attempt to sign the American.

Eindhovens Dagblad, a newspaper local to PSV, now brings the latest updates on Fulham's ongoing interest.

Pepi suffered an arm fracture in January and is now close to returning to the pitch. He has been on the sidelines for close to five few weeks and only training with the squad for the first time on Thursday.

This won't be the only good news for the 23-year-old as he could be on his way to London in the summer.

ED state Fulham and PSV are 'heading towards a deal' and explain why that is the case.

Transfer agreement not 'far off'
Fulham have informed the Eredivisie side of their willingness to offer a lot of money for him. According to the report, PSV are expecting a fee of around €35-37m, and it looks like that's 'almost enough', likely for an agreement.

As things stand, PSV haven't signed anything with Fulham over Pepi's transfer but the 'deal doesn't seem far off either.'

Should the two clubs agree terms for Pepi to arrive at Fulham in the summer, ED insist it won't have an impact on PSV's current season.

Pepi has scored 11 goals and contributed two assists from 22 matches in all competitions this season. His aim is to help PSV, who are currently leading the table, to win the title this season.

The American could replace Raúl Jiménez at Fulham as the latter could leave Silva's side when his contract expires in June.

Stoke City injury news vs Fulham as at least 10 players ruled out
Stoke City have a packed treatment room ahead of an FA Cup fourth round tie against Fulham at the bet365 Stadium

Bosun Lawal is set to be out for up to six weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the latest blow for Stoke City.

Lawal had shown his potential as a centre-half at the start of this season after missing most of last year due to a back problem.

But he picked up a hamstring injury while filling in as emergency right-back in late September that kept him out for two months and he went down again while playing in the same position at Charlton on Wednesday.

It continues a remarkable run of injuries for Stoke during the winter ahead of an FA Cup fourth round tie at home against Fulham on Sunday (2pm).

Viktor Johansson (shoulder), Lewis Baker (ankle), Divin Mubama (ankle), Róbert Boženík (shoulder), Ato Ampah (toe), Sam Gallagher (hamstring), Junior Tchamadeu (knee) and Gavin Bazunu (thigh) are all stuck in the treatment room.

Ben Gibson also missed the trip to Charlton due to illness - and Mark Robins revealed at his pre-match press conference today that there was further illness in the camp .

He said: "Bosun will be a while It might be six weeks."

He added: "He will be rightly disappointed. I think it's difficult when you lose players, any player. We've spoken before about the squad size and the depth to it and that started to look pretty good and pretty healthy - until it didn't, then it becomes a challenge..

"For Bosun and all the injured players it's not a pleasant time for them. Some of the injured players start to make inroads into that and then become ill, which sets them back.

"It's frustrating for everybody. You've got to deal with it. It's the time of the year for people picking up illness and if you've got kids you know what it's like. It's all those things that you have to factor into a recovery period, which is why I don't like giving time frames.

"The physios seem to now have a handle on long it takes for each individual to repair and you can give a rough guide but you try to treat each player, treat the symptoms and when they dissipate try to make sure you're not putting them at any risk, any stupid risk, so they can come back safely - and then be ready to play and hopefully stay fit.

"We have had too many that have been long-term injuries through impact."

Reedy wins Premier League Guinness Goal of the Month!

Harrison Reed has won the Premier League's Guinness Goal of the Month for January.

It was a strike that combined technique with context, as his venomous, swirling long ranger in the seventh minute of stoppage time at the Hammy End not only lit up Craven Cottage, but also earned his side a richly deserved 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

"It's obviously an amazing achievement to win Goal of the Month," Reedy told fulhamfc.com. "To be honest, it wasn't so long ago I was thinking about the goals I've scored, and when I finish my career is there going to be any decent ones to look back on! So there's one.

"Obviously a massive goal – the timing of it, to get a point against the champions, a really special moment for me. It's a real honour to be voted – thank you to the people who voted for me – and I'm just really happy to win this trophy."

It's the second month in a row that a Fulham player has claimed the trophy, following Harry Wilson's win in December. It also represents the seventh time that one of our boys has brought it home, meaning only Chelsea (9) and Manchester United (10) have won it more.

This marks a clean sweep for Reedy, who also claimed the Club's and Match of the Day's Goal of the Month votes.

Bobb could make first Fulham start in cup tie
Marco Silva could hand new signing Oscar Bobb his first Fulham start against Stoke City in the FA Cup this weekend.

Bobb has made two appearances off the bench for his new club since a recent move from Manchester City.

Whites boss Silva said on Friday afternoon: "A good session from him today, like all the other players.

"We have to decide tomorrow. We are going to take a decision on whether he's going to start. It's a good chance for him, like it is for Kevin or Rodrigo (Muniz)."

Silva confirmed that midfield duo Sasa Lukic and Tom Cairney will miss the cup tie.

Silva also spoke of his sympathy for former Brentford boss Thomas Frank, who was sacked by Tottenham this week.

Results speak louder than all the other things that we are doing," said Silva.

"About Thomas and other colleagues, (when) they leave their jobs, it is always a difficult moment. Of course, a very good coach and a great man as well."

Don't judge Stoke City on current form says Fulham boss
Marco Silva is braced for a tough game when Fulham head to Stoke City for an FA Cup fourth round tie

Fulham boss Marco Silva won't just Stoke City from current form with an ominous promise not to take this FA Cup tie lightly.

Fulham head to the bet365 Stadium for a fourth round tie on Sunday (2pm) ready to take on an injury-hit Stoke side that has drawn three and lost three of its last six games.

But Silva points to the atmosphere at the club earlier in the season with a suggestion that the hosts will be out to give him a tough afternoon.

He said: "They started very well, a very good start to the competition for them, always in a very good position around the play-offs. The start was strong, playing good, you know when the club is in a good run, the environment or the atmosphere in that stadium is always a difficult place to go and to play, because the home support is very good.

"Of course, after they have been a bit down. Because the Championship is so demanding, it can happen. The last run is not the best, but looking at them, we don't look for the last run or whatever. We look for everything, and their quality as a club – because if they want to look for our last run, it's not so strong like it was one month ago.

"It's up to us to react, it's up to us to respect them and to see that they have a quality side that is going to make our life really difficult."

Silva is expected to make changes to his starting XI following a mid-week defeat at Manchester City but he promises to go strong in a competition he knows there is a chance for glory. Fulham are 22/1 to win the cup this year and claim their first major honour.

"(The FA Cup is) very important for us," said Silva. "I don't like really just to go by words, we have to prove it on the pitch. But yes, any time we start a competition like this one, we aim high and we want to arrive in the final stages.

"Of course, we have to be serious. And sometimes, people want to be serious, but they make seven or six changes for one game – these things are not related. Sometimes you have three games in a week. Other times, the players that have been on the bench really deserve a chance to prove their quality as well. This is the way you can set all of them in the same page and to compete for the positions and make our group stronger.

"But definitely very serious. We didn't arrive – in the last four years and a half – in one final, I know, but we have been every single year, in one cup or the other, able to arrive in the quarter-finals, and we want more. And if you want more, it's an opportunity for us.

"FA Cup is tricky, against a Championship side is very, very tricky to play, and we have to really respect them, and be humble enough to understand if we are not at our best level it's going to be a very, very tough afternoon. And that is our aim, really – to play good football, to be able to win the game, and to play the next one."

Former CEO Tips Sunderland To Launch Summer Raid For Fulham Ace: Good Move For Black Cats?
Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness just dropped a major revelation about Harry Wilson's future. He reckons Sunderland might pull off a surprise move for the Fulham midfielder this summer. Speaking on Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, the 67-year-old insider said the Black Cats have emerged as serious contenders for Wilson's signature.

Sunderland Eye Shock Summer Swoop for Fulham Star Harry Wilson
Wyness noted that a January move didn't materialise because Fulham didn't want to weaken their squad mid-season. Things look different for the summer window, though. Manchester City prospect Oscar Bobb recently arrived at Craven Cottage. His presence means more competition for attacking spots, which could clear a path for Wilson to leave

The situation is still changing as we head through February 2026. Fulham stood their ground in the winter window. They chose to chase European qualification rather than sell a player whose contract ends in June. Even so, Wyness suggests Wilson has to think about his next big career move.

At 28, the winger is at a real crossroads. Wyness believes that if Wilson wants a big move, he'll need to hit a run of form to show clubs like Sunderland what he's worth. The link caught Wyness off guard at first. After thinking it over, he admitted the Welsh international actually fits the Sunderland style perfectly.

He told Football Insider's Inside Track podcast: "He's a very talented kid, but he's getting on, he's 28 now. So this is an important move for him as to where this goes.

"But I don't see him moving. I'd thought he may have done something in January, but Fulham want to hang on to him just now. With Oscar Bobb coming in, that's going to be competition as well up front. So let's just see how this pans out for the second part of the season.

"But he's another player that if he is going to be agitating for a move, expect him to hit some form as well. He's scored some very good goals before, and he has got talent, and he will fit certain teams' playing styles.

"Now, the one that came out of the blue for me when I talked to some of my contacts was Sunderland, who were thinking about a possibility for Harry Wilson. I think he would fit their style of play very well, and that's one I'm not discounting to show some interest in the summer as well."

Good signing for the Black Cats?
Sunderland's interest shows they aren't just happy to be back in the Premier League; they want to compete. They currently sit comfortably in the top half of the table. To stay there, they need proven top-flight talent. Wilson fits the bill. He loves to cut inside from the right onto that dangerous left foot. That would give the Sunderland attack a completely different dimension.

Wilson will also be demanding regular game time. He has nine goals already this season, proving he still has that clinical touch. Bringing in a player of his calibre on a free transfer would be a massive bit of business for Sunderland. It adds real Premier League experience to a young, hungry squad without overspending.
