From the Press Box: Fulham seek to end losing run in the cup
JK provides the latest news from Marco Silva's press conference.

Fulham have had a difficult 10 days or so. Three league defeats on the spin, the latest being a 3-0 defeat in Manchester on Wednesday, where the game looked pretty much over at half-time.

Sunday provides a chance to switch the focus onto the FA Cup, a competition that Marco Silva and the fans will feel they can go far in. A win on Sunday would advance the Whites into the last 16, and boost morale ahead of some big games to come in the league.

Silva confirmed that Sasa Lukic and Tom Cairney will miss the trip to the Bet365 Stadium, but everyone else is available.

"No fresh injury concerns from City. We have another session tomorrow. Still TC and Lukic out", the Fulham boss stated.

Sunday's game could see a first start for new signing Oscar Bobb, and perhaps a first start for Rodrigo Muniz since returning from injury.

Silva didn't want to give anything away, but said it was a good chance for Bobb to play some minutes.

"Could be, we have to wait. We have another session tomorrow for us to see", said Silva.

"A good session from him today, like all the other players. We have to decide tomorrow, we are going to take a decision on whether he's going to start. It's a good chance for him like it is for Kevin or Rodrigo (Muniz)."

Fulham's exit from last season's FA Cup was one of the most sobering and brutal days of the 2024/25 campaign. Sucker-punched by two quick fire Crystal Palace goals after Fulham had made a bright start was a bitter pill to swallow.

But, after a good win from behind against Middlesbrough in the third round, Fulham will look at this season's FA Cup campaign with fresh optimism, hoping to at least go one better, and seal a date at Wembley.

Fulham's fourth-round tie last season saw us win away against Wigan. Muniz's brace got us over the line, after the hosts had equalised in the second half.

Like those games against Middlesbrough and Wigan, it is further proof that games against Championship or League One opposition is far from a walk in the park. Especially away from home.

Stoke lost late on to Charlton on Wednesday night, and haven't won a game since their third round success against Coventry, but like every underdog, Mark Robin's side will be looking to cause an upset.

Our last trip to Stoke was a fun one. Muniz's brace after Fulham conceded in the opening minute turned the game around. Stoke equalised, but Fulham won the game through the ever reliable Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

A great day out, which saw Fulham springboard themselves several points above third place. Being in the away end that day, that was the day I started getting very excited about the prospect on promotion.

Another win on Sunday, and Fulham fans may start to sing 'Que Sera, Sera.' Plenty of football to be played between now and the semi-finals though.

A safe journey to all travelling to Stoke on Sunday, see you there. COYW!

Wholesale changes: Stoke City team news and predicted XI to face Fulham
Stoke City host Premier League Fulham in the FA Cup 4th round on Saturday.

Stoke City fell 1-0 at Charlton Athletic on Wednesday night in the Championship. The Potters were unable to find a breakthrough against the Addicks at The Valley, suffering a disappointing defeat in London.

SCFC sit 14th in the second-tier table after 32 matches, four points adrift of the play-off places behind Wrexham in sixth, with 14 games remaining.

Mark Robins was appointed head coach in January 2025, signing a three-and-a-half-year deal after leaving Coventry City.

Meanwhile, Fulham occupy 12th in the Premier League, comfortably mid-table, and have cemented themselves as a top-flight side in recent years.

Marco Silva's men were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in their last outing, their third consecutive league defeat. They will be keen to return to winning ways on Sunday.

Stoke City's injury crisis shows no sign of easing, with centre-half Bosun Lawal's promising start to the season halted by setbacks, as reported by Stoke On Trent Live.

After missing much of last year due to a back problem, Lawal impressed early on this campaign but picked up a hamstring injury while covering at right-back in late September. He went down again in the same position during Wednesday's match at Charlton.

Stoke City's current injury list

Player     Issue/Injury    Status/Note
Viktor Johansson      Shoulder    Sidelined
Lewis Baker      Ankle    Sidelined
Divin Mubama      Ankle    Sidelined
Robert Bozenik      Shoulder    Sidelined
Ato Ampah      Toe    Sidelined
Sam Gallagher      Hamstring    Sidelined
Junior Tchamadeu      Knee    Sidelined
Gavin Bazunu      Thigh    Sidelined
Ben Gibson      Illness    Missed Charlton trip

Speaking on the situation, Robins said: "For Bosun and all the injured players it's not a pleasant time for them... Some of the injured players start to make inroads into that and then become ill, which sets them back."

He added that the club is managing recovery carefully: "The physios seem to now have a handle on how long it takes for each individual to repair... you try to treat each player, treat the symptoms, and when they dissipate make sure you're not putting them at any risk."

Robins admitted the string of absences has tested the squad's depth. "It started to look pretty good and healthy, until it didn't, then it becomes a challenge," he said, highlighting the difficult winter Stoke have endured.

Predicted XI
(4-2-3-1)

Simkin; Talovierov, Phillips, Wilmot, Bocat; Seko, Pearson; Manhoef, Bae, Thomas; Smit

Multiple changes are expected by Stoke City after yet another disappointing result in midweek.

With Lawal unavailable Maksym Talovierov coming in as his replacement. The other change at the back sees Eric Bocat come in to give Aaron Cresswell a rest.

Ben Pearson replaces Steven Nzonzi in the side after he played a full 90 in midweek. He is alongside Tatsuki Seko in midfield.

The other changes see Million Manhoef and Bae Jun-Ho in behind Milan Smit. The trio come in while Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Tomas Rigo and Lamine Cisse drop to the bench.

FA Cup: Marco Silva to bench Samuel Chukwueze for new Man City import
Fulham boss Marco Silva has hinted that new signing from Manchester City Oscar Bobb is in line for a place in the starting eleven ahead of their FA Cup fixture against Stoke City on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Cottagers welcome the Championship side to Craven Cottage on Sunday, and while Silva is keen on a deep run in the competition, the Portuguese tactician will likely rotate his squad to give opportunities to new players and reduce the workload on the regulars.

Samuel Chukwueze, who has been a regular fixture on the flanks since his move from AC Milan last summer, might be one of those who could be dropped.

The Super Eagles star has been brilliant since joining from the Rossoneri, contributing three goals and four assists in 13 appearances. But the arrival of Bobb has made the competition for places in Fulham's attack even tighter.

Oscar Bobb Set for First Fulham Start?
Bobb joined the Cottagers in a €31.2 million deal in the final days of the January transfer window. He had to make the switch due to his inability to get regular minutes at Manchester City.

Speaking ahead of their tie against Stoke City, Silva confirmed that fans should expect some tweaks to the starting XI, with Bobb in particular among one of beneficiaries.

"We are probably going to have some changes, but we're looking at this competition very seriously," Silva said during his pre-match press conference.

When asked about the possibility of Bobb starting, he said, "Could be, he's had a good training session this morning. Let's see."

Should Samuel Chukwueze Be Bothered?
Samuel Chukwueze should be bothered if Oscar Bobb gets a chance to start and he performs well for Stoke City.

The former Villarreal man has had a solid start to life at Fulham. However, with Bobb—a player known for his technical ability and versatility—now breathing down his neck, the Nigerian will need to be at his best whenever he gets the chance.

The Cottagers are heavy favorites heading into the game, but Silva will also be wary of a possible upset.

Bobb would add a different dimension to his frontline, due to the youngster's ability to drift inside and create overloads in the half-spaces.

Everton make Harry Wilson transfer plan as Fulham exit nears
Everton are planning to make another move to sign Harry Wilson this summer after they saw a January approach rebuffed by Fulham.

Wilson is out of contract at Craven Cottage in June, and Everton may well be his next destination after some standout form this season.

Everton made a move to sign Wilson near the end of the winter transfer window, but Fulham had no plans to let one of their key players leave midway through the campaign.

The Wales winger has produced some of the finest performances of his career so far in the last few months, with eight goals and four assists in 25 Premier League outings in 2025-26.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, the Toffees could return with an approach for Wilson ahead of next season as he prepares to leave Fulham at the end of his deal.

Everton likely to reignite their Harry Wilson interest in the summer
Several other Premier League sides, such as Leeds, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, have been linked to Wilson recently, but Everton were the only club to approach Fulham over a possible transfer in the last window.

Wilson will want to keep impressing in the latter stages of this season to create an even bigger battle for his services, with the Toffees set to reignite their interest if he does choose to leave Fulham.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "I think probably half the Premier League are looking at Harry Wilson.

"Everton made a cheeky enquiry in the January transfer window which was quickly rebuffed by Fulham, but I'm sure they'll be back at the table looking at him, and I'm sure there'll be clubs from abroad looking at Wilson (too).

"He's just been in red-hot form for Fulham in the last couple of months. It's a wide-open race for Wilson right now."

Everton want to sign Jack Grealish for a cut-price fee despite injury blow
Everton's potential move for Wilson could hinge on Grealish's future at the club, as he prepares to sit out for the rest of the campaign with a foot fracture.

The Man City loanee has been a key man under David Moyes this season, and Football Insider have revealed that Everton want to sign Grealish for a fee of around £20million, rather than the £50m option-to-buy in his current contract.

City are open to all possibilities when it comes to how he departs the Etihad Stadium in the summer, but it is clear that he has no future in their playing squad.

Grealish and Wilson primarily play on opposite wings, but the Toffees may be forced to sign one or the other ahead of next season, due to potentially lofty wage demands from both players.

Leeds United face uphill task in Harry Wilson chase
Leeds United will not have a straightforward shot at the signature of 28-year-old Fulham winger Harry Wilson amid his links with other suitors like Crystal Palace and Everton.

According to a report by Football Insider, Harry Wilson is the subject of interest of Leeds United. The Whites are scouring the market for a wide attacker heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on Fulham winger. However, the West Yorkshire will face a tall order in the battle for the Welsh winger's signature, as Crystal Palace and Everton are also keen on signing him.

How has Harry Wilson fared at Fulham so far?
Harry Wilson has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Fulham from Liverpool in a deal worth £12 million in July 2021. While the 28-year-old was slow off the blocks at the West London club, he has transformed his reputation in the ongoing campaign.

The Welsh international has scored nine goals and provided five assists in 29 appearances across all competitions this term. However, Wilson's long-term future at the West London club is uncertain, as he has entered the final six months of his contract. The situation has piqued the attention of several clubs, with Crystal Palace, Everton, and Leeds United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Crystal Palace will dip into the market for a versatile winger in the summer transfer window, even though they have signed several attackers in the last 12 months. Nevertheless, the Eagles want more firepower in the final third, and they have set their sights on the Welshman.

Meanwhile, Everton's wanted to sign Harry Wilson in the winter transfer window, but a deal did not materialise. While David Moyes has several top-notch wide attackers in his squad, he can do with more quality in the final third, as it is unclear if Jack Grealish will remain at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after his loan deal expires after the 2025/26 season. So, Wilson has emerged as a viable target for Everton.

As for Leeds United, the Whites were keen on signing Wilson last summer, but a deal did not materialise. The continued interest makes sense, as Daniel Farke wants more firepower in the final third. So, Wilson is a viable target for Leeds United. However, the West Yorkshire outfit will face a tall order to secure the Welshman's services.

With Crystal Palace and Everton also involved in the battle for Wilson's signature, the former Liverpool attacker can pick the club that can offer him regular game time and European football. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 28-year-old Fulham winger.

Stoke City vs Fulham: Preview and Prediction
Stoke City will host Fulham at the bet365 Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with a spot in the FA Cup fifth round up for grabs.

Stoke City have been quite poor in recent weeks, and they have failed to pick up a single victory in their last six matches across all competitions ahead fo the game vs Fulham. This will be a massive challenge for the Potters, and it will be interesting to see if they can get the job done at home. The fans will certainly expect a strong reaction from the players.

On the other hand, Fulham in poor form. Marco Silva's men have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions. The West London outfit were in impressive form not so long ago, and it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back strongly.

On paper, the Cottagers are the better team, and they have done well against Stoke City in recent matches. They have picked up three consecutive wins against the Potters. The Hard Tackle takes a closer look at the encounter ahead of the latest meeting between the two sides.

As for the midfield unit, Tatsuki Seko and Ben Pearson will look to break up the opposition attack and win the ball back for their team. They will also look to shield the back four with their exploits in the middle of the park.

Million Manhoef and Sorba Thomas will start on the flanks and look to create opportunities for their teammates during transitions. Tomas Rigo will be deployed in the attacking midfield role and will look to link the midfield to the attack. Finally, Lamine Cisse will lead the line for Stoke City vs Fulham on Sunday.

Key Stats

Stoke City are without a win in their last six matches in all competitions.
Fulham are without a win in four of their last five matches in all competitions.
Both teams have picked up three wins each from the last six meetings between themselves. 17 goals have been scored in the last six matches between the two teams.
Stoke have progressed from five of their seven FA Cup fourth round ties played on home soil this century, though they were beaten in a penalty shoot-out by Cardiff City in this round last season at the bet365 Stadium after a 3-3 draw.
Fulham will be looking to reach the FA Cup fifth round for the second consecutive season, last achieving that feat in three seasons in a row between 2008/09 and 2010/11.

Player to Watch
Harry Wilson
The Fulham attacker has been in spectacular form in recent weeks, and he is our key player to watch out for. Wilson will look to create opportunities for his teammates and find the back of the net as well. It will be interesting to see whether he can maintain his impressive form and help his team progress to the next round of the competition.

The West London outfit will depend on him to make a defining impact in the final third. Stoke City will look to shut out the opposition, and they will need Wilson's ingenuity in the attack.

Prediction
Stoke City 1-2 Fulham

Neither side is in particularly good form, and this is likely to be a close contest. Both teams will be desperate for a victory, and they are likely to find the back of the net. It is unlikely to be a defensive affair.

The two teams have been quite poor recently, and they will look to outscore each other. Fulham have more quality in attack and should be able to edge this one. A narrow win for the Premier League side is on the cards. The Hard Tackle predicts a 2-1 win for Marco Silva and his charges.
