Marco looking like a Ball Boy next to Peter Crouch, haha

Chris Coleman doing a bit of Punditry too.

Fulham will smash them, 4-0.

I would swap Chukwueze and Bobb. Bobb looked good at lw against Spurs. He and ESR swapped positions constantly. Chukwueze is better on the right.

They look more dangerous. Our attacks are too much wing it, cross it, clear it. Need more players making late runs into the 6 yard area.

Title: Re: Southampton (H) 08/03
Post by: SerbianLad on March 08, 2026, 12:54:10 PM
Some good moments in attack, defensively we're struggling a bit. Larin is causing Cuenca and Andersen all sorts of trouble and Sess ans Castagne aren't having their best games either. Reed and TC are getting a bit overrun in the middle too.

I disagree about Muniz being poor as suggested by some. He's won tons of aerial duels and managed to get shots off with limited service. Scored a goal too that perhaps shouldn't have been disallowed.

I think Chukwueze has offered little, but I'd swap him and Bobb around and I think that would solve that issue.

Maybe taking TC off will allow us to use our left wing as well as our right. TC always favours a pass with his left foot towards the right.

You can make 5 subs but only use 3 sub "windows". So you absolutely need to make multiple subs if you want to use all 5 subs

We all see Silva is a passionate man but if he can't put a bit of devil into the players and send out a team to play with passion and drive it's time for a change.

Title: Re: Southampton (H) 08/03

They deserved it. We have reached our limit for this squad. Muniz  doesn't have the speed for the Prem. Apart from him We are lightweight across the forward line. Bobb has a long way to go to  justify his fee as does Chuk who is good in flashes but not yet consistent. ESR makes very few    incisive passes and is at best a link man.
Defensively we make too many errors especially when the ball is played behind our back line. Our best performances occur when we are pushed back , which gives our forwards the space they need. Unfortunately that is a two edged sword and our worst results come when we dominate possession and the defenders get sucked forward, leaving the opponents one on one too often.
I also think we should try a few speculative shots , we might get lucky, it raises the tempo, and rebounds can often break for us.

Since he's been at Fulham, he's saved or been very close to saving pretty much every penalty. He guessed the right side almost every time. Leno,on thr other hand, Manchester United shoot-out aside, has looked hopeless at penalties for Fulham.

1) FYP

2) LOL, again. So your rationale for saying "Leno is terrible at penalties. Lecomte is excellent" is 8 penalties faced by Lecomte, all against lower level opposition, 7 of those in a penalty shootout against League 1 plodders??? Again, a detailed look at their career record shows that against top level opposition Leno saves penalties at a ~4% better rate than Lecomte (who if we're being honest has been playing against weaker opposition in France than Bernd has faced in England and Germany). Look, I'm not arguing Leno is good against penalties, I don't think he is, but I do think that the statement "Leno is terrible at penalties. Lecomte is excellent" is completely unsupported by evidence and frankly quite ridiculous.
