Title: Perhaps we are the “bigger club” now …
Post by: DadCreature on March 01, 2026, 05:56:10 PM
From the report in today's match-

"Contact by Jimenez was soft but the incident was strikingly similar to the goal ruled out for Spurs forward Randal Kolo Muani against Arsenal last Sunday due to a slight push."

100% certain the goal would have been waived off had we been playing Arsenal, Chelsea, City, etc.

Everyone has forgotten the goal Man United scored against us in similar circumstances a few short months ago.

This illustrates perfectly why VAR is so corrupt. Our goal could easily have been ruled out, and we would have little sympathy from the pundits on MotD. It would have been ruled out against a high flying team. How the mighty Spurs have fallen, eh?

It will be interesting to see the "expert" comments on TV tonight. While it goes against the grain to sympathise with Spuds fans, I can easily see why they are annoyed at the inconsistency. But, to any Spurs fans who have got this far, welcome to our world. As the OP said, maybe we really are the big team.

No, I don't think so either.

Doubtless we will be royally robbed by the officials against Wet Spam now. Just to bring us down a peg or two.

I think the so-called "push" by Jiminez today was much softer than the one on Bassey against Man Utd that IMHO was far more blatant and deserving of a free kick

Igor Tudor is a very bad loser it seems, on top of his poor management.

Tudor should be more concerned about how we battered his team and played them off the park for 90% of that match.  ::smile::

I don't think it was a foul, but also I don't think the one on Gabriel was a four either. We shouldn't create a second wrong because of a mistake last week

He should also be concerned about his job
