Title: How many more points
Post by: South Coast White on March 08, 2026, 05:32:25 PM
Can we realistically expect from our remaining matches.
It doesn't look good, even the teams below us are improving and fighting to survive, the teams above will be very difficult to beat. I see 4 points at best 3 maybe against Burnley and maybe 1 from Wolves.
If we aren't more solid and don't take our chances we will end up around 15/16th.

I think we'll get another 12 points.

I think about 8 points from our remaining games.

We are an inconsistent team and  our falling away form in March onwards historically (recent seasons) would suggest that's the season done.

But, Football's a funny old game! Get behind the team....

We can wallow in self pity or get on with!

There is no time like the present, and there is no present like time!
Don't know if I just made that up or heard it some place, anyway COYW

Before West Ham, I said 5 wins and a draw. After Spam and Southampton, I am now thinking 3 wins and 1 draw.

I see us getting another 5 points. We are Sh1t towards the end of every season under Marco and this year is no different. He's becoming a one trick pony!

We'll break the points record from last season and get Europe. Call me delusional if you like, but I'm very optimistic.  ::scarf::

No point in trying to guess who we may beat and who we may not.
I am no better than anyone else at predicting, that's why I don't bother.
Because Fulham are so unpredictable when it comes to actually how they are going to perform.
What is predictable is that they never seem to have 2 good halves in the same game.
Of course it is generally impossible to dominate for 90 mins, every team will generally have a good spell.
How many times have Fulham had a good first half and then a stinker in the second half.
Or it's the other way round.
Fulham have just lost the last 2 home games, not because the opponents are technically better than us, but because they wanted it more than we did, Because they played for each other, because they were more tenacious than us, and because they were fitter than we were.
No player should have needed resting after West Ham because Fulham hardly broke sweat.
This resting of players is a farce, an excuse to cover up our shortcomings.
The players are not blameless because they have a duty to play with pride. No matter the opponent or the score.
The buck starts with the manager, is he motivating them, although a successful player will motivate himself.
Perhaps maybe and the signs are there that some of the players, or maybe most of them, are no longer playing for the manager for one reason or another.
Check out Marcos demeanour and manner in the dugout.
In recent matches he has changed habits from someone who wants to fight the world and everyone in it, due to his passion, energy and spirit, unable to control his emotions. Pacing up and down the technical area.
To sitting in the dugout looking passive with a big sulk feeling sorry for himself attitude, almost as though he cannot wait for the season to end.
He seems to now looks disinterested as though he would rather be somewhere else.
Is he losing the dressing room somebody asked me in a pub earlier.
It's a theory and no doubt it will all come out in the wash sooner or later.

Nothing wrong with being optimistic. But now that you have mentioned it.
You are  " delusional if you like "
There, I have said it word for word.

Silva needs to get the team fired up for Forest. Get the three points and take it from there.

While I do admire your optimism, be careful what you wish for!

I'm sure all us fans, and players and coaches alike, strive for and hope for Euro play.  But we need to ask if FFC is really ready for that, the more rigorous schedule and added games.  Biggest thing in my FFC world is staying in PL.  It's now been a couple seasons in a row where FFC has had good chances to move up the table and get into Euro positions, oft times v (so-called) weaker opponents, and have fluffed.  These two recent losses v Everton and WHU are just inexcusable for a club looking for top half table positions.  I have no problem with FFC making it into Euro play, but ONLY if the team can remain competitive in the PL, and necessary additional investments/players are obtained to ensure our PL status.

Additionally, these last two games, clean sheeted, at home, v a drop zone PL team and a Champ club, should tell you something too, about the readiness of this squad to participate at much higher levels.

Better not be: How many more seasons do we have to wait to get a Wembley final?

On current form and the fact there's a history of us switching off at this stage of the season, I think we will be lucky to make 50 points.

This version of a Fulham team that the club no which team good or bad team is going finish result wise every game including Marco says it all,so I haven't got a clue I'm slowly after being peed of seeing us miss umpteen chances from 26 chances created with not a decent Fulham striker on the pitch and think he has to be a priority also time for TC to go as 2 poor performances, give him a coaching role.
