"It's always a competitive game against Liverpool" 🗣 | Marco Silva discusses Liverpool v Fulham
Fulham view: Is "wonderful" Harry Wilson good enough for Liverpool return?
Liverpool face an in-form ex-player when they come against Harry Wilson for Fulham, in another huge game for the Reds.
Arne Slot remains a man under pressure, following Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, and the big matches are coming thick and fast.
Fulham head to Anfield on Saturday evening, with Liverpool knowing that another bad result could be fatal to their Champions League qualification hopes.
With kick-off looming, we spoke to Fulham fan and JOE sports editor Henry Hill (@henry_hill94) to preview the weekend action.
How would you rate Fulham's season out of 10? Happy?
Seven-out-of-10. Depending on who you ask, this rating could vary.
Ultimately, we play lovely football and are pushing for Europe instead of fearing the drop, which is something teams of our size often forget to celebrate.
But this season feels like a big missed opportunity. We've had some great wins, but some absurd losses too, in the Premier League and in the cups.
With a bit more consistency, European football or even a Wembley trip could have been a real possibility.
Would you stick with Marco Silva? Is there a threat of him leaving?
I would love it if Marco Silva stayed, but that requires the board to back him properly.
Although our business is fun, it often arrives too late in the window.
Silva may feel he has taken the team as far as he can, and I don't think any Fulham fan would begrudge him leaving, which looks more likely than him staying.
He has turned Fulham around, and his own reputation along with it, so there is no bad blood.
Which three players have impressed most for Fulham? Who has flopped?
Obviously, Harry Wilson. He's proof of what confidence can do for a player and I couldn't be happier.
It's easier said than done, but Liverpool shouldn't let him onto his left boot near the box.
Alex Iwobi continues to shine as one of the Premier League's most versatile and interesting players to watch, capable of finding space all over the pitch and breaking the lines with his running.
And finally, I'll go for Sander Berge. Others might disagree, but I just love his physicality alongside Sasa Lukic.
For flops, I'll reluctantly say Rodrigo Muniz. It's obvious we need to upgrade the striker position.
Muniz has been injured a lot, but rejecting close to £40 million from Atalanta for him last summer looks increasingly foolish.
And I am sorry to say that Bernd Leno is having his worst season in years.
Perhaps a victim of his untouchability at the Cottage, Leno's save rate is far below his normal standards.
Hopefully, this is just a blip rather than a long-term problem, but he might be worth targeting early on at Anfield.
Could you see Wilson being a good re-signing for Liverpool?
To be honest, not really.
I love Wilson, but there is a reason he is more closely linked with Everton, not Liverpool.
You should be fishing in the Michael Olise pond instead of the Wilson bucket.
And for his own sake, I would rather see him play consistently than become a bench option at Anfield.
Wilson is wonderful, but he is no Salah replacement.
How do you rate Liverpool's season? Would you keep Arne Slot?
Six-out-of-10. Arne Slot is a victim of his own success after last season, and he gets credit from me for that.
But some of the performances have been unacceptable for a while.
Not signing Marc Guehi was a massive mistake, and you can't help but think the Alexander Isak money could have been better spent elsewhere.
Slot clearly isn't feeling the fans' support, which is a shame. Focus on finishing in the top five, then walk away.
From where I am writing, it seems pretty obvious which Spaniard the majority want in charge!
Where do you predict both teams will finish this season?
I'd love Fulham to reel in Brentford and finish eighth or in the Conference League spot, but ninth looks realistic at this point.
As for Liverpool, I am sorry to say that Everton could be a problem.
I am backing Liverpool for fifth, but if the squad's mood sours significantly, seventh is a possibility given that you play Everton, Man United and Aston Villa away.
Looking ahead to Saturday, where are the key battles?
Prepare for the Sandstorm that is Oscar Bobb-Bobb-Bobb-Bobb-Bobb.
Joking aside, Brighton got plenty of joy from their talented wingers against Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, so I hope Bobb, Wilson and Iwobi can do the same.
Ryan Gravenberch vs. Berge will also be a fun match-up, as in my opinion, this game will be dictated by who can control the midfield and limit the ball reaching the danger men.
Finally, what's your prediction?
I think Liverpool 1-2 Fulham.
We have lost only once in our last five matches against you, and we rarely draw. Plus, Liverpool could be there for the taking after the defeat to PSG.
Fulham have a weird knack for stepping up at Anfield in recent years, so why not go for it?
That said, anything is possible with Fulham, so we could easily lose 3-0! It should be a fun game.

"Weren't going so well" – Fulham face issues during discussions with player over summer signing
Fulham have made several attempts to sign PSV Eindhoven's Ricardo Pepi in this calendar year.
The Premier League side made multiple offers in the winter market by PSV did entertain any of them for various reasons.
Fulham still didn't give up and made concrete advances to secure his services in recent weeks. Their plan was to agree a deal with the Dutch club for the striker to arrive in the summer.
On March 17th, Sport Witness covered claims from the Netherlands than Fulham and PSV reached an agreement for a €40m deal.
The 23-year-old made a trip to London to carry out medical tests with Fulham and then returned to his club. Despite all this, the operation collapsed on one key aspect.
Marco Silva's side wanted to call off the deal if Pepi were to suffer a serious injury this season. The Dutch club didn't agree to this and the deal collapsed. PSV technical director Earnest Stewart insists the Fulham transfer could still go through.
After the Eredivisie side secured the title earlier this month, the American said he could continue beyond this season.
Issues not just between PSV and Fulham
Journalist Jeroen Kapteijns covers PSV Eindhoven for De Telegraaf and reports of another key factor in the operation. He discusses this case for the newspaper and PSV Inside have relayed his comments.
The Dutch club were left unhappy that Ricardo Pepi's transfer to Marco Silva's side didn't go through.
"They thought it was a real shame that the Pepi deal fell through, because then they would have had that money right away, the €40m or so, at an early stage," he said.
"And they already have something else in mind; they could have done that right away. Now they have to wait until a major transfer happens before they can move forward with certain things again."
Another De Telegraaf journalist, Mike Verweij, insists Fulham could return again in the next window.
When responding to that, his colleague reports there were also issues between Pepi and the London club.
"I wouldn't rule it out entirely, were it not for the fact that there were some issues between Pepi and Fulham that weren't going so well, or whether Pepi would even want to go that route anymore, I don't know," Kapteijns explained.
Our take: Summer deal more challenging for Fulham
If Fulham were to return for Ricardo Pepi, they not only have to convince PSV but also the player.
It isn't clear about the issues that the American had with the London club. Either way, now Fulham have to sort this and also find a fresh agreement with the Dutch club. The task for a potential signing became more complicated.

Premier League: 14 stats to know before Liverpool v Fulham
Read a statistical preview of Liverpool's hosting of Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Reds switch their focus back to domestic matters for the visit of Marco Silva's Cottagers to Anfield.
Ahead of the 5.30pm BST kick-off, Opta and club statistician Ged Rea have provided the following facts and figures.
A victory in this game would see Liverpool reach the landmark of 1,500 league wins at Anfield in their history.
The Reds are two goals short of recording 100 against the Cottagers at Anfield in all competitions.
Both Liverpool and Fulham have scored at least twice in each of their last three Premier League meetings; the only fixtures to see both sides score two or more four times in a row in the competition are Brighton & Hove Albion v Leicester City (September 2022 to April 2025) and Crystal Palace v Manchester City (December 2023 to April 2025).
No side in the Premier League this season has netted more goals in the final 20 minutes of games than Liverpool and Fulham (both 18).
Fulham have won just two of their 32 away league visits to Anfield (drawn eight, lost 22), winning 1-0 in both (May 2012 and March 2021).
Each of Liverpool's last eight Premier League goals have been scored by different players.
Only Bruno Fernandes (73) has created more chances from open play in the Premier League this season than Florian Wirtz (47).
Liverpool have found the net 24 times in their last seven home fixtures in all competitions.
The teams have met once before on April 11, playing out a goalless draw at Anfield in 2010.
Cody Gakpo has either scored (two) or assisted (one) in three of his last four Premier League appearances against Saturday's opponents.
Since the start of matchweek 13 (November 29), only Manchester United's Fernandes (19) has had a hand in more Premier League goals than Harry Wilson (14 – eight goals, six assists), with each of his last five goals putting the Cottagers in the lead.
Antonee Robinson has more Premier League assists against Liverpool than he does versus any other side, with all of his three coming at Anfield.
Two players have featured in every Fulham league match this season. Goalkeeper Bernd Leno has started all 31, while Sander Berge has made one of his 31 appearances as a substitute.
Eleven different players have scored for the Cottagers in away league games this season. Raul Jimenez, with five, is their leading scorer on the road.

Exclusive: Everton and Fulham eyeing Watford star
For Watford, the 2025/26 Championship campaign is set to fizzle out with yet another mid-table finish after falling short of competing for a potential play-off push.
It has been a varied season for the Hornets, who have occasionally appeared capable of staking their claim higher up the table but have lacked the consistency and, once again, have also contended with atypical managerial churn.
Having appointed Edward Still last month, Watford are now on their third manager of the campaign after parting ways with Paulo Pezzollano and Javi Gracia and they haven't enjoyed any serious upturn since inducting the Belgian.
Watford are positioned in 10th place with five games to spare, and any hopes of launching an eleventh-hour pursuit of the top-six feel futile with sixth-placed Southampton currently nine points clear and unbeaten in 16 matches across all competitions while also boasting a fixture in hand.
The Hertfordshire-based outfit will hope to end the season on a strong note before undertaking the requisite work in the summer transfer window to have a serious crack at challenging for a Premier League return next time around.
Much of that, however, will depend on the future of star midfielder Imran Louza, and Football League World can now exclusively reveal a fresh development involving the sought-after 14-cap Moroccan international.
Everton and Fulham eyeing Watford star Imran Louza
Louza is poised to represent one of the Championship's hottest properties as we edge ever closer to the summer window, with an increasing number of clubs joining the impending race to prise his services away from Vicarage Road.
As such, Football League World has learned that Everton and Fulham are now both in the mix to compete for the 26-year-old's signature this coming summer.
Sources close to FLW have described the Premier League pair as being "very keen" on Louza, with scouts from both Everton and Fulham understood to have regularly attended matches at Vicarage Road in recent months.
Whether that transpires into a move only awaits to be seen, with the current indication being that Everton and Fulham are taking an interest in watching Louza as opposed to readying a proposal at this moment in time, but scouts in attendance will doubtless be impressed with what they have seen in what has been a standout campaign from the ex-Nantes man.
A separate update via X from Sebastien Denis of Foot Mercato on Thursday afternoon has claimed that two unnamed top-flight outfits have sounded out Watford over a potential swoop for Louza, who is reportedly valued at €14 million (£12.1 million) and is also said to have interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Imran Louza has been immense for Watford this season - summer exit feels likely
Louza has been among the most impressive performers in the Championship this season, made all the more eye-catching by the fact he's done so while playing in a mid-table side with scarce designs on promotion and a lack of consistency throughout the current term.
An all-action central midfielder with no notable weaknesses to speak of, Louza's ability to score from range and carve out chances at will have come to the fire with a more-than-respectable haul of seven goals and nine assists.
He's easy on the eye, is technically a class or two above the Championship and can inject clear X-Factor, but Louza is also capable of helping to control the tempo of matches and even breaking up play when Watford are sitting deep and weathering the storm.
Such a versatile skill-set is only bound to earn further admiration as the summer window approaches, with Louza finally making good of his undoubted talent to establish himself as one of the leading operators outside of the Premier League.
The former French youth international will have two years to run on his Watford contract by the time the summer rolls around, which could represent the Hornets' last real opportunity to make serious money on a player who was snapped up for a £10 million fee back in 2021.
Should the reported asking price be true, they'll hardly be collecting much of a profit and Watford supporters would rightly be dismayed if they were to part ways with Louza for that kind of fee.
If that's how much they're asking for, though, then the writing would appear on the wall regarding his future, and time will tell whether Everton or Fulham will look to follow up their admiration with an official offer.

Ladies face champions at Craven Cottage
Town aim to spoil the party against league champions
Our Ladies' side will also be making a trip to London this Sunday, but to the South West of the capital as they take on already crowned FA WNL Division One South East champions, Fulham.
The Town will be looking to spoil the party on the day when the Cottagers lift the trophy and aim to round off a second successive league season undefeated.
The opposition
After promotion into the division in the summer of 2025, the Cottagers have gone back-to-back and continue their surge up the ranks of the women's game.
A remarkable unbeaten streak in league competitions for Steve Jay's side has now passed the two-year mark. Not only this, but his side have also only dropped points on two occasions this campaign – a 0-0 draw away to QPR and a 2-2 draw at home to Dulwich Hamlet.
The Cottagers have gone three for three at the Cottage this season, picking up victories over Norwich City, QPR and, most recently, Milton Keynes.
Town on the road
Sunday's clash with the champions will be the Ladies' final on their travels this season. A memorable return to the fourth-tier sees the Hatters currently positioned in seventh place, and their away form can claim credit to the success.
The Town have picked up four wins, two draws and suffered four defeats on the road in the league this campaign.
The first came via a late double at Stadium MK, with Tasha Fensome putting the game to bed as it approached the 90th minute, wrapping up a 2-0 win for the Ladies. Fensome was the standout performer once more during the Ladies' second league victory on the road, netting a hat-trick in a 4-1 thrashing of Chesham United.
A fortnight on, the Hatters claimed a vital point at Loftus Road against QPR. Lisa Milliken's long-range effort pulled one back for the Town, who had trailed by two, before Taylor O'Leary's late header rescued a point.
Just before the Christmas break, Fensome's opener against Dulwich Hamlet was cancelled out by a late equaliser from the hosts.
Fensome bagged a brace in a narrow 2-1 victory in West London against Actonians, as 10-player Town remained firm to claim all three points.
Most recently, the Hatters edged a seven-goal thriller away to AFC Sudbury. Natalia Makowska scored her first two league goals in Luton colours, while forward-line partners Emily Wilson and Amy McLean also finding the back of the net in a chaotic afternoon in Suffolk.

Team News: Three to miss Liverpool clash
Fulham will be without Kenny Tete, Harrison Reed and Kevin for the trip to Liverpool on Saturday.
However, all of our international players returned unscathed, and Calvin Bassey is also fit despite not meeting up with Nigeria due to a back issue.
"From international duties, all good," Marco Silva revealed in his press conference. "Good news in terms of the fitness of the squad.
"Of course, some in a better mood than others, depending on the results, as you expect, but it's part of the job. Fitness point of view, all of them, they came back in good conditions.
"Related with the [Liverpool] game, Kevin is going to be still out. Kenny in the same situation, too. There's something there, the foot, let's see. When he's going to be without pain, he's going to start to work with the team, and he's going to be, after a matter of time, back in a good fitness way and good physical condition, to be in contention for the games.
"And Harrison Reed is going to be out. He got a knock two days ago in the session, in his knee. Doesn't look like anything really serious, but he's going to be out of the Liverpool game."
Kevin posted a video on his socials this week of himself running on a treadmill as he continues his rehab from surgery, and Silva retains some hope that we could see the winger in action again before the end of the season.
"It's going very well. He is very positive, we have to be positive, too. But at the same time, we have to respect the timings and the steps until we see him with us.
"He's in a good mood, he's in a positive way, working hard on the things that he can do with our medical staff. Let's see if we can have him before the end of the season.
"He's always a very, very good player for us, a player that can do different things. Unfortunately for us, he got injured in the best moment of the season for him, when he was capable to understand things better.
"His physical condition was probably in the best moment since he joined ourselves. For us, was a really big blow, in terms of the capacity that he was showing to help the team.
"But okay, it is what it is, it's football, it's part of a season. Let's hope he can recover well, and when he comes back, he comes back stronger."

Liverpool could equal 59-year club record in Fulham fixture as Arne Slot reveals two fresh concerns
Liverpool will be at risk of equalling an unwanted 59-year club record in Saturday evening's Premier League showdown with Fulham at Anfield.
The Reds return home bidding to end a dismal run of three straight defeats in all tournaments, having fallen to Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain's superiority in recent weeks.
A 2-0 defeat to the latter on Wednesday evening has put Arne Slot's side on the verge of exiting the Champions League, but their hopes of qualifying for the 2026-27 competition remain in their own hands.
Thanks to England's unrivalled UEFA coefficient, the top five Premier League teams will earn a ticket to next season's Champions League, and Liverpool currently sit one point clear of Chelsea in fifth spot in the top-flight table.
However, the reigning Premier League champions have found Fulham to be tricky customers in recent times, having failed to win any of their last three games against the London club in the top flight.
Liverpool out to avoid equalling club-worst run against Fulham
Slot's men took just one point from their two top-flight games with Fulham last season, settling for a 2-2 draw on home soil in December before succumbing to a 3-2 away loss at Craven Cottage in April.
Earlier this season, Liverpool were also held to another 2-2 stalemate in West London, and the Reds could now equal their longest league run without victory against Fulham - a four-match sequence from February 1966 to December 1967.
The Reds suffered one defeat and were held to three draws by Fulham in that sequence during the old Division One days, before ending that streak with a 4-1 win in 1968, in which legendary striker Roger Hunt scored twice.
However, Liverpool enter Saturday's contest having only managed one victory from their last five games against Fulham in all tournaments - a 3-1 top-flight triumph at Craven Cottage in the 2023-24 campaign.
Arne Slot reveals two fresh Liverpool concerns for Fulham fixture
The hosts will be without injured quartet Alisson Becker, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Wataru Endo against Marco Silva's side, although Alexander Isak is now fit and ready once more following his leg fracture.
The Swede came off the bench in the second half of Wednesday's loss to PSG, where Slot opted for an unfamiliar 3-5-2 setup, featuring Joe Gomez in central defence and Jeremie Frimpong at right wing-back.
Both defenders completed over 90 minutes - Frimpong was brought off in second-half injury time - and Slot has admitted that the injury-plagued Dutchman and Gomez are two additional concerns for the weekend.
"The players I'm of course worried about again for tomorrow will be Jeremie Frimpong and Joe Gomez," Slot told journalists. "When you look at our bench against Paris Saint-Germain, it's the best bench we've had throughout the whole season. But sometimes things don't look as good as they might be."
Frimpong is nevertheless anticipated to start against the Cottagers in gameweek 32, but Gomez is expected to make way for the returning Mohamed Salah in one of a few changes from Slot.

The opposition lowdown: Fulham
Get the lowdown on Fulham ahead of Liverpool's hosting of Marco Silva's team at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
Season so far
The Cottagers sit ninth in the table ahead of the weekend fixtures, with 44 points from their 31 games.
Silva has overseen 13 wins, five draws and 13 defeats this term.
Prior to the international break, Fulham came from a goal behind to beat Burnley 3-1 at home.
Key players
Former Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson is Fulham's top scorer in the Premier League so far in 2025-26 with 10 goals, while Raul Jimenez is close behind on nine.
Wilson also leads the way for assists with six.
Joachim Andersen has played the fourth-most passes across the division this season (2,011) and ranks sixth for touches (2,430).
Previous meeting
A dramatic ending saw the points shared when the sides clashed at Craven Cottage in January.
Wilson's first-half goal was equalised by Florian Wirtz just before the hour, and Cody Gakpo then put the visitors in front four minutes into added time.
But Harrison Reed's long-range stunner levelled the game with 97 on the clock.
Team news
Calvin Bassey is available after recovering from a back injury that saw him withdraw from the Nigeria squad.
However, Reed, Kevin and Kenny Tete have been ruled out.
What they said
Silva, Fulham head coach
"The last results against them, the last performances, last games, they have been very, very good. Good performance, some good results from us, very, very competitive always home and away – and this is what we want to be again.
"We prepare ourselves for the best Liverpool possible. We want to be competitive like we did show last season, against them this season already [too]. Let's hope we can repeat the same type of performance."
Stats
Fulham have won just two of their 32 previous away league games against Liverpool (eight draws, 22 defeats), winning 1-0 in both May 2012 and March 2021.
Since the start of matchday 13 on November 29, only Bruno Fernandes (19) has had a hand in more Premier League goals than Wilson (14 – eight goals, six assists), with each of his last five goals putting the Cottagers in the lead.
Antonee Robinson has more Premier League assists against the Reds than he does versus any other side, with all three coming at Anfield.
After winning only two of their first eight top-flight games of 2026 (two draws, four losses), Silva's men have won three of their last five (one draw, one loss).

Casey signsThe Club is delighted to announce the signing of Dan Casey.

Speaking to fulhamfc.com, the midfielder said: "This is my first professional contract, so it feels great. I'm really excited to get going.
"I want to finish the season strongly, go as far as we can in the PL2 Play-Offs, and then make my way into the First Team as soon as possible."
Dan played six PL2 games during his trial period at Fulham, impressing in a midfield role.
This is a full circle moment for Dan, who was actually with Fulham during the pre-academy stage before joining Arsenal. He was in the same age group as the likes of Josh King and Jon Esenga.
He enjoyed a decade with the Gunners, finishing with a strong season as a second year scholar, scoring 18 goals in 21 appearances in the U18 Premier League, including two against Fulham.
He is eligible to feature against Chelsea U21 in PL2 on Friday evening, 7pm kick-off at Motspur Park.

Silva Sees 'Opportunity' to Take Points at Anfield
Fulham manager Marco Silva believes his side have a genuine opportunity to take points away at Anfield against Liverpool on Saturday.
Marco Silva spoke about Fulham facing Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday in the late kick-off.
The Cottagers have climbed back into the comfort of mid-table after a sluggish start to the season in terms of results, and they will fancy their chances against the fallen Premier League champions.
Silva's side sealed a point at Craven Cottage in the first fixture of 2026 when Harrison Reed scored a screamer in injury time of the second half, and they will take confidence from that contest.
'We want to be competitive'
"It is always a real opportunity. Because, as you mentioned, the last results against them, the last performances, last games, they have been very, very good – good performance, some good results from us, very, very competitive always, home and away, and this is what we want to be again.
"Of course, all the clubs, they have ups and downs. In a big club, any defeat probably hurts more.
"A defeat is always a defeat, I know, and I had this conversation with our players, for example, after the two defeats that we had in a row [against West Ham and Southampton] in a short period of time before the Nottingham Forest game.
"With other clubs and other players and other managers, it's the same thing. It's part of a season. Of course, it's always the way you are going to react for the bad moments that is going to be decisive."
"We come from a good result [against Burnley], we come from a result where we were losing and we won the game in a good way at home. We went for the international break with three points, massive three points in my opinion, for us.
"And let's hope we can start in the same way against a very, very good side – with the bad run, it's true. They lost three games in a row in different competitions, and if it's going to have an impact or not in the game, we don't know.
"We prepare for the best Liverpool possible. We want to be competitive like we did show last season, against them this season already [too], and let's hope we can repeat the same type of performance."

"Surreal": Lily Stevens on Fulham's rapid rise up the FA WNL
Fulham will lift the Division One South East trophy following promotion in the summer
In many ways for Fulham's Lily Stevens, the route to the FA Women's National League Division One South East title feels like something of a paradox.
It is in the same breath both surreal and an achievement the Cottagers having been building to for a while.
Perhaps the biggest factor in that fantastical feeling is rooted in the fact they were newly promoted into the FA WNL this season and will now prepare to compete in the Southern Premier Division next year.
Even more remarkably, the title winners have achieved that feat by, so far, having gone unbeaten with two draws in their 20 games representing their only dropped points.
"It is really surreal because I feel like football is so unpredictable," said Stevens.
"You never really think that you're going to go two seasons back-to-back winning the title and then doing it unbeaten as well. It's just such a surreal feeling.
"I don't think it really like has sunk in, to be honest.
"In tier five, we always tried to have the highest standards possible anyway, so that if we did get promoted, we would feel ready as a group to make that step up. That's exactly what we did."
With two games left of the season, and a trophy lift to celebrate, attention now turns to maintaining that immaculate record.
A day out at Craven Cottage awaits where they will face Luton Town at 2pm on 12th April before hoisting the trophy in fitting fashion at the club's main stadium.
For midfielder Stevens, it is the perfect opportunity to thank all those involved on a remarkable journey for the support and effort they've shown along the way.
"The opportunity on Sunday to lift the trophy at Craven Cottage is the most amazing thing because we can celebrate it with everyone who has supported us, not even this season, but over the last few seasons too," said the 27-year-old.
"How it's played out, you couldn't write it. It's honestly worked out perfectly because it gives us that opportunity to celebrate at such an amazing stadium with our friends and family and with the fans.
"It's been such a long season and to have that moment to celebrate it with everyone is going to be special. We should all try and really enjoy the moment."
But full enjoyment will surely only come if that moment follows another memorable win over a side against whom they managed a 1-0 win over in the reverse fixture.
An invincible season is now tantalisingly close as they bid to keep their record as immaculate as the white shirts they will don on Sunday.
But winning is something that the Whites have become accustomed to over the course of the season.
"I definitely think there is a confidence. We have a very clear plan and we know exactly what we're capable of," explained Stevens.
"It's down to us as players to execute that on a match day because we know that if we can put into practise everything we work on in training, we put ourselves in a good position.
"We've just got into a rhythm of doing that, which has been amazing. [Going unbeaten] was never, ever mentioned within the group until these past couple of weeks.
"But now that we have won the league, we've made an effort to really recognise what an achievement it is and just be really proud of the hard work that everyone's put in over the last two years."
Stevens knows all too well what now awaits higher up the tiers having previously represented Oxford United, who will likely be familiar opponents for the midfielder next season, in tier three.
Born in Reading, Stevens spent 11 years at the Reading Centre of Excellence from the age of seven before making the move to then Women's Championship outfit Crystal Palace.
From there, she made the switch to The U's, but after struggling with injuries in her final season decided to make a fresh start at Motspur Park in 2024.
And now, as a key cog of their ascent up the tiers, she is fully immersed in a club looking to reclaim its historic place in the women's football pyramid, having once been the first women's team to turn full-time professional in Europe back in 2000.
"Hopefully we can get the club back into the top leagues of women's football. That is the ultimate goal," she said.
"We know the history and the players that have played for the club, so it is something that we are aware of.
"We all know that this step from three to four is a really big jump and something that we have to be prepared for.
"We know that it's going to be a huge challenge, but within the group, we work really hard and we know that on our day we can compete and we can grind those out.
"Hopefully, we just follow that same process in tier three and see how it goes."

Fulham: Harry Wilson explains Marco Silva change which triggered stellar form amid Erling Haaland comparison
Welshman sees a clear correlation between his performances and those of Manchester City's talisman striker
Harry Wilson believes the uptick in his goalscoring output this season is simply down to the fact that he is playing more than he has in bygone campaigns.
The Welshman has been in fine form this season, with 16 goal involvements to his name after 29 league appearances, the most of any Fulham player.
He is already enjoying his best goalscoring season in the English top flight to date despite having seven matches left to play, and is one assist away from matching his best playmaking record.
His impressive numbers this campaign came in spite of Fulham's slow start to the campaign, which manager Marco Silva has managed to rise above and drag the Cottagers into the European conversation.
But Wilson insists that his improvement this season is not down to a tactical revolution from Silva. Rather, he believes it is simply down to the fact that he has played more minutes in this campaign than any other in a Fulham shirt.
He has played 2,279 league minutes thus far in the campaign, 615 more than his previous record.
"I don't think so, our relationship has always been really good," Wilson told BBC Sport, asked whether Silva had tweaked something tactically to get the best out of him.
"I don't think anything has drastically changed from him to me. It is just that natural confidence that has come into my game because I've been playing well, that happens with any player.
"The biggest change for me over the course of the season is minutes played. If you look at the end of the season, the players that are top of the goals, top of the assists for whatever teams, they're the players that play the most minutes. That has been the biggest change.
He continued, comparing his own fortunes to Erling Haaland's. The Norwegian leads Manchester City and the Premier League for goals, and ahs played more league minutes than any other outfielder in the squad.
"The other players from each team that are leading the team in whatever are the ones that play the most minutes. You look at Haaland at City, his goal record is incredible and he spends probably the most minutes on the pitch.
"That is testament to him, he keeps himself fit, he's rarely injured. It is also down to the manager who keeps him on, because he knows he only needs a moment, and I think I'm that type of player.
"Things might not be going well, but I feel like all I need is a moment to create or score, and I think that is true for the rest of the attacking players that are on that list."

Support Spirit of Shankly's 'Not a pound in the ground' campaign at Anfield tomorrow
The Fulham Supporters' Trust stands in solidarity with Spirit of Shankly, the Liverpool supporters' union, as they launch their 'not a pound in the ground' campaign ahead of tomorrow's fixture at Anfield following Liverpool Football Club's decision to increase season ticket prices for the next three seasons.
As Spirit of Shankly said in a statement last month, Liverpool Football Club are leading the way in pricing out loyal fans for years to come – despite the club turning over a record £703 million. Like the Fulham Supporters' Trust, Spirit of Shankly signed up to the FSA's Stop Exploiting Loyalty campaign and petitioned their football club for a season ticket price freeze.
The Trust remain proud of our historical links with Spirit of Shankly, who were founded in 2008, including campaigning against Tom Hicks and George Gillett and poor policing of football fans as well as the fantastic Fans Supporting Foodbanks initiative, which began on Merseyside.
We ask all travelling fans to consider not spending money in the ground and instead support the local business owners, who could do with the cash. We also look forward to further campaigning with Spirit of Shankly on this important issue.

Premier League 2 report: Fulham 2-1 Chelsea
Despite a frustrating evening as our regular season campaign concluded with a narrow loss at Motspur Park, Chelsea Under-21s will go into the Premier League 2 play-offs as the top seeds after winning the league phase.
We went into Friday evening's final league fixture top of the Premier League 2 table on goal difference, and that is exactly how we ended it as first place was confirmed, although we could not conclude this stage of the season with the victory we wanted.
This west London derby began at a high intensity, with both sides eager to assert themselves early on. It was Shumaira Mheuka who broke the deadlock just past the half-hour mark, firing home a powerful effort to give Chelsea a deserved lead heading into the break.
However, Fulham emerged stronger in the second half. Alfie White headed the hosts level, before Jonah Kusi-Asare completed the turnaround eight minutes later, giving the Cottagers the advantage. We pushed until the final whistle in search of a late response, but it was Fulham who claimed victory.
Nevertheless, despite disappointment on the night, it is the Blues who finished top of the Premier League 2 table. With Manchester United - who began the day level on points with us - falling to defeat against Newcastle United, our superior goal difference ensured we could not be caught and are now officially crowned league winners.
We now await the outcome of the other remaining fixtures to learn our first opponents in the Premier League title play-offs.
Quick start
Chelsea tried to set the tone from the first whistle, applying relentless pressure on Fulham in our final regular Premier League 2 fixture of the season. Winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen was at the heart of it, using his pace and close control to drive into the penalty area and pin the hosts deep inside their own half.
However, Fulham quickly responded with a threat of their own. Jonathan Esenga whipped in a dangerous free-kick that forced Max Merrick into early action, our keeper reacting sharply to leap and punch clear under pressure.
The hosts continued to test our resolve. Farhaan Ali Wahid struck from close range, and although Merrick produced an excellent initial save, Daniel Casey pounced on the rebound - only to fire wide and spare us in a frantic opening spell.
We responded by settling into a rhythm, enjoying spells of controlled possession. Kavuma-McQueen remained a constant outlet and his trickery inside the box drew a foul, leaving the referee with no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Mheuka stepped up, but his penalty was well saved by Alfie McNally, who guessed correctly and produced a strong stop to keep the scores level.
The contest remained open and fiercely competitive. Ali Wahid came close again, drilling a low effort from a tight angle, but Merrick reacted superbly, getting down quickly to make the save.
Breaking the deadlock
Our pressure finally told midway through the first half. Kavuma-McQueen surged forward once again, sparking a slick attacking move. Kiano Dyer linked play intelligently before finding Reggie Walsh, who threaded a precise pass into Mheuka inside the area. This time, he would not be denied.
The forward showed composure to guide his effort goalwards and, despite McNally getting a hand to it, the ball found the back of the net to give Chelsea a deserved 1-0 lead.
Buoyed by the breakthrough, we pushed for a second. Dyer came close with a curling strike from distance that looked destined for the corner, only for McNally to gather well and deny the midfielder.
Fulham pressed for a response before the interval, but Harry Hudson's side stood firm. Organised and disciplined, we dealt with the pressure and protected our advantage, heading into the break with momentum and a narrow but deserved lead.
We got off to a bright start in the second period, looking to build on our first-half momentum. Kavuma-McQueen once again looked dangerous out wide, driving forward before unleashing a fierce effort that flashed just wide of the post. It was an encouraging opening for the Blues.
Frustration hits
However, despite our positive start to the second half, Fulham found a way back into the game. Esenga delivered a floated cross into the area, and White rose highest to direct a header into the net and bring the scores level.
With momentum now on their side, the hosts struck again. Kusi-Asare used his strength to drive forward before unleashing a powerful strike into the top corner, beyond Merrick's reach, turning the game around at 2-1.
Merrick was called into action once again, producing two important saves from dangerous Fulham set-pieces. Esenga delivered a pair of whipped corners that curled menacingly into the box, forcing our keeper to react sharply and beat the ball away on both occasions to keep the deficit at just one and prevent the game from slipping further away.
With seven minutes of added time, the Blues continued to push forward in search of a late equaliser. There was no shortage of effort as we pressed in the final third, but time ultimately ran out and the final whistle confirmed a narrow 2-1 defeat.
However, despite the result, there was still reason to celebrate. With Manchester United - who began the day level on points - falling to defeat against Newcastle, the Blues were confirmed as league phase winners in this season's Premier League 2. Our superior goal difference proved decisive, securing top spot and ensuring we head into the play-offs as the highest ranked team.
What it means
Following this result, our regular Premier League 2 campaign has now concluded, with the Blues finishing top of the table.
We will now move into the play-off stage of the competition - a knockout format featuring the top 16 teams. Our first round opponents will be the side that finishes 16th, which will be confirmed once all remaining fixtures have been completed.

Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Leeds United keen on Leo Scienza
Southampton have a big fight on its hands with regards to the future of key attacker Leo Scienza amid heavy Premier League interest.
According to Sports Boom, Leo Scienza has considerable interest coming from the Premier League, as at least four clubs are vying for his signature. Southampton have a big fight on their hands with regards to deciding on the Brazilian's future, with the club only likely to sell at a high asking price.
Southampton signed Leo Scienza from Heidenheim last summer in a bid to improve their attack, and the Brazilian has been much better than initially expected. With six goals and eight assists to his name, the 27-year-old has been a big part of their promotion push via finishing in a playoff spot, something that is still within sight.
Speculation surrounding Scienza's future has grown exponentially since Southampton's shock victory over Arsenal in their FA Cup quarter-finals. The Brazilian put in a strong display against the Gunners, which has alerted plenty of Premier League teams, including Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Everton.
All of those teams are eager to add quality attacking options in the upcoming summer window, and could view Scienza as a reliable outlet. The Brazilian can play in the attacking midfield role or as a winger on either flank, which gives him the edge when it comes to tactical flexibility.
Southampton are reportedly seeking at least £25 million for the attacker, or at the minimum double their £9 million investment in the Brazilian. For now, they insist that Scienza is not for sale, which might be a measure to strengthen their market position, although they can only retain him if they were to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
Leo Scienza to Demand Big Wages?
Scienza is reportedly on big wages, and a move to one of the teams like Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Everton or Fulham could increase his chances of improving his salary. He is reportedly seeking a wage bracket of £2.5 million to £3 million net, which will be seen as considerably high by some of those clubs but still within an achievable range.
Southampton are surely not in a position to pay him as much, meaning they might have to ensure promotion to the Premier League to keep hold of the Brazilian. The player's level has shown he is ready for the big stage, which is the main reason some of those sides are showing strong interest in signing him.

What is at stake for Liverpool and Fulham?
Liverpool manager Slot is under extreme pressure from the Reds' fanbase, despite reportedly retaining the backing of CEO Michael Edwards and sporting director Richard Hughes.
If the boss is to stay in the role and dampen criticism going forward, Champions League qualification will be seen as a minimum requirement, though considering the club's shocking campaign so far, it will take a major turnaround to avoid slipping down the table.
Liverpool currently sit fifth in the Premier League, only one point above sixth-placed Chelsea, and three above both seventh-placed Brentford and eighth-placed Everton, and anything other than victory could be damning for the Slot.
Meanwhile, Fulham are ninth - just five points behind the Reds - and their hopes of playing in UEFA competition next season would be significantly boosted by a win this weekend.
However, with a mere six points separating sixth from 13th in the table, any slip-up could see the Londoners overtaken by a number of their rivals.

Liverpool vs. Fulham: Preview, Predictions and LineupsArne Slot is seemingly on the brink as the Reds return to Premier League action.
Liverpool are aiming to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat across all competitions when Fulham visit Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The upcoming domestic encounter arrives in between the Reds' Champions League quarterfinal against Paris Saint-Germain, with Arne Slot's side still just about in the tie at the halfway mark.
Slot changed tack and deployed a back five in Paris, seemingly evolving his Liverpool team into everything the self-professed soccer romantic hates about the sport, but the idea to match PSG's fluid frontline with aggressive man-marking was a sound one. His players struggled to execute, though, and the Reds were mightily fortunate to escape the French capital with a 2–0 defeat.
Their attentions now switch to boosting their chances of securing a top-five Premier League finish, having succumbed at Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break. Liverpool head into the weekend just a point clear of Chelsea in sixth.
Fulham, meanwhile, have won three of their previous five league outings and are still in with a shout of competing in Europe next season. Marco Silva's Cottagers are ninth in the table but Brentford are merely two points ahead in the Conference League qualification spot.
A rare but not completely unsurprising victory at Anfield would serve as great inspiration down the stretch.
Liverpool vs. Fulham Score PredictionDefeat to End Slot's Tenure?
Slot has said he's still feeling the support from Liverpool's hierarchy, even if much of the fanbase has started to turn. The Reds aren't securing the necessary results, but their performances for much of 2025–26 have left plenty to be desired, too.
In summary: they're boring. Anfield is designed for rock-and-roll, not what Slot has served up this season.
Calls for his head will be widespread if Liverpool's losing run continues on Merseyside this weekend, with the frustratingly unpredictable Fulham coming to town. The Cottagers harbor significant aspirations of their own, with supporters dreaming of a first continental adventure since 2011–12.
Dire Reds Form: Liverpool have been flat-out bad over the past few weeks, with supporters growing tired of Slot's stale framework, which has failed to provide either a semblance of defensive security or attacking cohesion. Excluding a 4–0 beatdown of a mediocre Galatasaray side, the Reds have lost four of their previous five and three on the bounce—by an aggregate score of 8–1, no less.
Recent Head-to-Head Record: Fulham have enjoyed themselves in this fixture as of late, with Liverpool winning just one of the previous five meetings against the Cottagers. The spoils were shared in the reverse fixture, and Marco Silva's side earned a result at Anfield last season.
Fresh Fulham: While the hosts have been beaten up by Manchester City and PSG over the past week, Fulham's sole focus since returning from the international break has been this match. Slot still has no idea what his strongest XI looks like, and will have to make changes this weekend.
Prediction: Liverpool 0–1 Fulham

Isak could make his first Premier League start since Christmas. | FotMobWhile Liverpool can ill-afford to drop points on Saturday, Slot must consider next week's second leg at home to PSG. Thus, the Dutchman is expected to rotate his team at the weekend.
Alexander Isak enjoyed his first minutes of 2026 on Wednesday night, and may be included in Saturday's starting lineup to offer Hugo Ekitiké, who toiled in Paris, respite. Mohamed Salah could work in tandem with the Swede after he was overlooked by Slot midweek. Curtis Jones may also come in to face the Cottagers.
Alisson hasn't yet recovered from a hamstring injury, so Giorgi Mamardashvili, Liverpool's standout performer on Wednesday, will continue between the posts. Conor Bradley, Wataru Endo and Giovanni Leoni remain sidelined.
Limited options at right back will likely force either Jeremie Frimpong or Joe Gomez into the role, although Slot has expressed concerns about using either of them from the outset on Saturday.
Liverpool predicted lineup vs. Fulham (4-2-2-2): Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Jones; Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Salah, Isak.

Fulham sustained no fresh injuries over the break. | FotMobThe Fulham cohort that departed for international duty returned to west London unscathed, with Calvin Bassey believed to be fit for Saturday's game despite missing Nigeria's recent outings due to a back issue.
Marco Silva has confirmed that Harrison Reed, whose 97th-minute stunner earned Fulham a point in the reverse fixture, will miss the trip to Anfield after picking up a knock in training. The midfielder joins Kenny Tete and Kevin on the sidelines, with the latter recently stepping up his recovery from foot surgery.
Still, there's hope the exciting Brazilian winger will feature for Silva's side before the end of the season.
Raúl Jiménez is battling to reclaim his starting center forward spot from Rodrigo Muniz, having maintained his perfect record from the penalty spot on Fulham's previous Premier League encounter against Burnley.
Fulham predicted lineup vs. Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Iwobi, Wilson, King, Bobb; Jiménez.

Liverpool line-ups for Fulham as Alexander Isak and Mohamed Salah decisions made
Our Liverpool FC writers select their line-ups for Saturday's evening crucial Premier League against Fulham at Anfield
Liverpool have no time to feel sorry for themselves. Yes, they are out of the FA Cup and, yes, they stand on the brink of an exit from the Champions League.
Add that to the fact that their hopes of retaining the Premier League title they won at a canter last season are long gone, and there is no disputing it has been a disappointing campaign.
But Arne Slot and his players must rally themselves and achieve what is the club's minimum objective - qualifying for next season's Champions League.
And Liverpool can take a big step in the right direction this evening with victory at home to a Fulham side who have ambitions of gatecrashing the European places.
So how should Reds boss Slot line-up given he may have one eye on Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final decider against Paris Saint-Germain, who will be favourites to progress but whose 2-0 first-leg advantage is not insurmountable?
Our Liverpool writers have their say...
Paul Gorst
The back five experiment at PSG can be consigned to the dustbin for this one, its four at the back for me and a return for Andy Robertson, who is set for a hero's ovation after his announcement that he will leave at the end of the season. Jeremie Frimpong starts at right-back.
In midfield, Curtis Jones returns in place of Alexis Mac Allister. Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch keep their places.
I'm going to start Alexander Isak. The Sweden international needs minutes and may likely tire as the games wears on after so long out but he could still be important this season.
Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo return also. Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike can wait in the wings.
My team (4-3-3): Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Jones, Szoboszlai; Salah, Isak, Gakpo.
Ian Doyle
Not long to go now, folks. Just the seven Premier League games remain in a season that feels like it has gone on forever for Liverpool.
Fulham are up next at Anfield this evening. What, though, is Reds boss Arne Slot to do?
With this the second of three games in seven days - and how often that has been asked of Liverpool this campaign - there are going to have to be changes.
Not in goal, though. That remains Giorgi Mamardashvili. And with a return to 4-2-3-1, Andy Robertson can come in at left-back and Dominik Szoboszlai can go to right-back for this one. Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk are the centre-backs.
Midfield also sees some alterations, with Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister the deeper duo and Florian Wirtz in the number 10 role.
Up front, it's all change with Rio Ngumoha left, Mohamed Salah on the right and Cody Gakpo down the middle.
My team (4-2-3-1): Mamardashvili; Szoboszlai, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Jones, Mac Allister; Salah, Wirtz, Ngumoha; Gakpo.

Liverpool vs Fulham preview | Team news | Line-ups | How to watch | Prediction
Liverpool boss Arne Slot will hope to guide his side to their first win after three consecutive losses when they welcome Fulham to Anfield on Saturday evening.
Liverpool's difficult run has worsened further following a heavy 4–0 FA Cup loss to Manchester City, followed by a 2–0 first-leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Their league form has offered little relief, with 10 defeats from gameweek six onwards—surpassing their nine victories—leaving them fifth with seven matches remaining.
In their most recent Premier League outing at the American Express Stadium, they fell 2–1 to Brighton & Hove Albion, marking a third consecutive match without a win.
Although a top-five finish would still secure Champions League qualification, Liverpool are only five points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa and sit just three points above Everton, keeping the race tightly contested.
They now return to Anfield, where they have suffered just one defeat in 13 matches, but face a challenging fixture against Fulham, a side they have failed to beat in their last three league encounters (two draws and one loss). The only longer winless league spell against the London club came between 1966 and 1967, when they went four games without a victory.
Fulham endured a sluggish start to 2026, managing only two wins from their opening eight Premier League fixtures, but have since shown improved form with three victories in their last five matches (alongside one draw and one defeat). That recent surge includes a confident 3–1 home triumph over relegation-threatened Burnley three weeks ago.
Currently sitting ninth in the league table, Marco Silva's side are still firmly in contention for a potential return to European competition for the first time since the 2011–12 season. They sit just two points outside the top seven and are only five points behind fifth-placed Liverpool, their opponents this weekend, with seven matches still to play.
Despite that optimism, Fulham's historical record at Anfield remains a major hurdle: they have won only two of their 32 away league meetings with Liverpool (eight draws and 22 defeats). Those rare victories came in May 2012 and March 2021, both ending 1–0 in their favour. Another win on this occasion would significantly boost their European ambitions.
Having scored the third most goals (43) of any team below the top eight, Marco Silva will be optimistic his side will produce a clinical outing in this game, especially against a Liverpool side that has conceded eight goals in their last three games. In contrast, the West Londoners have conceded just two goals in their last three and have not conceded more than one goal in any of their last seven games since conceding three against Manchester City in February.
Team news
Italian centre-back Giovanni Leoni remains Liverpool's longest-standing absentee due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury. At the same time, Alison Becker, Wataru Endo, and Conor Bradley are ruled out of the game with respective long-term injuries.
Mohamed Salah, who was an unused substitute against PSG, is expected to return to the lineup against one of his favourite opponents, having provided six goal contributions in ten games against Fulham.
Alexander Isak returned to the pitch for the first time in over three months after coming off the bench in the second half against Les Parisiens and is likely to come off the bench with Hugo Ekitike getting the starting nod.
Fulham, meanwhile, are boosted by the return of centre-back Calvin Bassey to the squad after pulling out from international duty with Nigeria due to injury.
However, they will remain without Brazilian winger Kevin, who suffered a foot injury in February against Sunderland, while Kenny Tete is still undergoing rehabilitation and won't be available for the trip to Merseyside.
At the same time, Harrison Reed, who scored a Puskas-worthy equaliser in the 2-2 draw against the Reds, is ruled out of this clash with a knee injury.
Expected lineups
Liverpool: Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Jones; Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Ekitike.
Fulham: Leno, Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Iwobi; Wilson, King, Bobb; Jimenez.
How to watch/stream
Liverpool vs Fulham will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK. The coverage will begin at 5pm BST on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
Sky Sports subscribers can live stream the match via the Sky Go app on a variety of devices, including most smartphones and tablets, as part of their subscription.
Supporters without an active subscription may need to rely on post-match highlights once they are officially released.
However, some viewers sometimes turn to unofficial online broadcasts that appear around kick-off time to follow the game live.
These unlicensed streams circulate across various online platforms, though they remain unauthorised, unsupported, and not approved in any way.
Prediction
Liverpool 2-1 Fulham: Since their Premier League promotion in 2022, Fulham have netted 13 goals across seven top-flight meetings with Liverpool, a tally only bettered in that period by Tottenham (14) and Brighton (15) against the Reds.
As such, the Cottagers are not expected to sit back in this game and are expected to take the game to the defending champions.
However, they will also be wary of going out guns blazing into unfriendly territory, as at Anfield, where they've recorded only two wins in their last 32 games.
The match is expected to be an interesting matchup between two teams that are relentless until the final whistle. Both teams have netted 18 goals in the last 20 minutes of games this season, more than any other team in the Premier League.

Expect late drama: The telling 18-goal stat that could define Liverpool vs. Fulham
Liverpool's meeting with Fulham could be set up for more late drama, with both teams 'stronger' in the second half and not proficient at keeping a clean sheet.
Fulham make the trip to Anfield, and no side in the Premier League this season has scored more goals in the final 20 minutes of a game than they have. They are level with Liverpool on 18 goals.
It speaks to the fact that the visitors, since Christmas, have scored only four of their 19 league goals in the opening half of games.
Liverpool, meanwhile, struggle to keep the ball out of the net at home, with just four clean sheets in 15 league fixtures at Anfield this season.
Liverpool aim for 1,500 league wins at Anfield
A victory in this game will see Liverpool reach the landmark of 1,500 league wins at Anfield in their history.
This is Liverpool's 50th game of the campaign. They have won 25, drawn 7 and lost 17, for a win percentage of just 51%.
Slot's men have not scored in their last two games, the last time they failed to score in three successive games was February 2016. Let's not have a repeat!
A mixed record with 5.30pm kickoff for Liverpool
This will be Liverpool's sixth game this season that has kicked off at 5.30 pm. They have won one of the previous five (drawing two and losing two), overcoming Tottenham 2-1 in London last December.
The Reds will want that record to read better, but they have not won in the last three league meetings with Fulham. Only once have they had a longer run without a league victory, four games between 1966 and 1967.
Ex-Red Harry Wilson the one Liverpool have to watch
Fulham could equal a club record today by recording a fourth successive league game without defeat against Liverpool.
The last time Fulham won at Anfield was in March 2021, when Mario Lemina (who scored for Galatasaray against Liverpool last month) netted the only goal in a match played behind closed doors.
Harry Wilson has been directly involved in 16 Premier League goals this season (10 goals, 6 assists).
Wilson is his club's leading scorer in the league with 10 goals. He is only the second British player to reach double figures for the Cottagers in a single Premier League campaign, after Andy Cole's 12 in 2004/05.
Liverpool and Fulham scorers so far this season

Liverpool predicted starting line-up against Fulham - five changes as Rio Ngumoha decision made
Liverpool team predicted to face Fulham in the Premier League at Anfield.
Liverpool's focus returns to the Premier League when they welcome Fulham to Anfield (17.30 BST).
The Reds head into the game with Arne Slot under intense pressure as head coach. Although Slot guided Liverpool to the title in his maiden season, this term has been insipid. The Reds have lost 16 games in all competitions and sit just fifth in the Premier League - facing a battle to qualify for the Champions League.
In addition, they crashed out of the FA Cup after a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend while a 2-0 loss against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-final first leg puts them on the cusp of crashing out of the competition.
As a result, Slot needs to deliver as he faces calls for his head from significant sections of supporters. But with the second leg against PSG taking place in three days' time, the Liverpool boss also has to consider that showdown.
With everything in mind, here is the Liverpool team predicted.
GK - Giorgi Mamardashvili
Made several big saves to keep the scoreline down against PSG and he will be hoping that he's not as busy.
RB - Curtis Jones
Slot suggested that he is 'worried' about Jeremie Frimpong and Joe Gomez because of their injury issues. Therefore, a makeshift option may be needed so Jones could be deployed in the role.
CB - Ibrahima Konate
Was dragged all over the place by PSG's defence throughout the loss but he should, in theory, have an easier evening.
CB - Virgil van Dijk
The Liverpool skipper will be so frustrated how many games he has lost this season. He needs to lead from the front.
LB - Andy Robertson
The vice-captain will receive a rousing reception after announcing his exit at the end of the season.
CM - Ryan Gravenberch
The midfielder struggled to give Liverpool proper protection against PSG and Manchester City. While there won't be as much emphasis on his defensive duties, Gravenberch has to offer more.
CM - Alexis Mac Allister
Endured a difficult season overall but the lack of options means that he will likely continue.
CM - Dominik Szoboszlai
Was pretty anonymous against PSG but that was somewhat understandable. More will be needed from Szoboszlai, though.
RW - Mo Salah
Prepares to play his first game at Anfield since announcing his departure. Given that he was an unused substitute at PSG, he looks almost certain to start - and his name will be chanted vociferously.
ST - Cody Gakpo
Hugo Ekitike had a poor game against PSG while Alexander Isak may still not be ready to start. Therefore, Gakpo may be tasked with leading the line.
LW - Rio Ngumoha
The 17-year-old made his full Premier League debut a month against in a 1-1 draw against Tottenham. Ngumoha underlined he is ready for the level and could be given his latest chance.
Subs
Woodman, Frimpong, Gomez, Kerkez, Nyoni, Ekitike, Isak, Chiesa, Morrison.

7 players missing Liverpool vs Fulham as Alisson injury update given
Liverpool faces a crucial game against Fulham at Anfield as the Reds return to Premier League action, with both sides heading into the clash with some big names missing
As many as seven players are expected to be absent from Saturday's Premier League clash between Liverpool and Fulham, highlighting the toll of an increasingly congested fixture schedule.
Arne Slot has faced a particularly challenging period since the Reds resumed action following the March international break. Liverpool was unceremoniously knocked out of the FA Cup quarter-finals by Manchester City last weekend, suffering a comprehensive 4-0 thrashing at the Etihad Stadium, before Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain brought further misery. The Reds returned from the Parc des Princes on the wrong end of a 2-0 defeat.
While Liverpool faces a considerable uphill battle ahead of next week's second leg at Anfield — given PSG's extraordinary current form — its focus will now shift entirely to this weekend's league fixture against Fulham.
With just seven games remaining, the Reds find themselves fifth in the Premier League table, five points adrift of the top four, although its current position would be enough for a place at Europe's top table next season.
Nevertheless, should the club wish to secure European football for the 2026/27 campaign, a strong run-in domestically or outright Champions League glory will be required — the latter appearing increasingly unlikely in light of this week's result.
Slot's vital Premier League push must begin this weekend, yet it is no secret that his squad has been significantly weakened by a string of notable injury setbacks of late.
Despite Alexander Isak making his return against PSG with limited minutes — his first competitive appearance since breaking his leg against Tottenham in December — four others will require additional time on the sidelines before they are ready to feature, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Alisson Becker has been working tirelessly to recover from a recent setback that has kept him sidelined since Liverpool's mid-March fixture with Galatasaray ahead of the international break. However, Saturday's encounter with Fulham looks to have come a touch too soon for the Brazilian shot-stopper.
Slot spoke about the goalkeeper during his pre-match press conference: "We don't get the player back yet but Alisson is working hard to get his way back. He won't be in this weekend."
Conor Bradley, meanwhile, is anticipated to remain absent for the remainder of the season following a knee injury sustained against Arsenal at the turn of the year, while Wataru Endo faces a similar outlook due to a foot injury picked up against Sunderland in February.
Giovani Leoni has also yet to feature for his club since his debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup back in September, where he suffered a season-ending ACL injury. Isak may also find his playing time restricted once more as he continues to gradually ease himself back into contention.
However, Liverpool is not the only side contending with injuries going into this weekend's fixture. When questioned whether supporters might see Kevin again before the campaign concludes, Fulham boss Marco Silva said: "Lets see. Okay, he is very positive, so we have to go step by step.
"For the next one no, but we have seven games to play. Lets see if at least we can have him or not. But right now, not sure about it."
The Brazilian remains unavailable due to a foot injury sustained against Sunderland in February. Additionally, Silva has confirmed that Kenny Tete will be absent as he continues his rehabilitation from his own foot problem, while Harrison Reed will also be unavailable owing to a knee injury.

Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham 'monitoring' Southampton star Leo Scienza
Leeds United are reportedly among the clubs monitoring Southampton star Léo Scienza.
The 27-year-old, who can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder, only arrived on British shores in September last year.
He sealed a move to the Saints from Bundesliga outfit 1. FC Heidenheim, penning a four-year deal.
Scienza has been a key figure in Southampton's resurgence under Tonda Eckert, pushing the Saints into the Championship promotion race with his creativity.
Since his arrival in England's second tier, the Brazilian playmaker has registered six goals and eight assists across 31 league appearances.
Leeds United linked with Southampton star
It appears Southampton may need to clinch promotion to keep the vultures from circling, as ESPN Brazil have credited five Premier League clubs with interest.
Leeds, who are currently locked in a battle for Premier League survival, are said to be among them.
Scienza is also thought to have been looked at by Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham.
After he was recruited by the Saints, Southampton's sporting director Johannes Spors said: "Leo is someone we feel can adapt well to English football. He is a creative player, a progressive dribbler and a strong set-piece taker.
"He is a player who has consistently produced goals and assists in every league he has played, and is an exciting addition to our forward line."
Leeds United's last playmaker signing
As it stands, Leeds look unlikely to make a permanent move for Argentina-capped attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte in the summer. The 21-year-old joined Leeds on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion in January but has been afforded just two league outings.
His return to Brighton may prompt Leeds to look at signing another creative midfield force, perhaps one more likely to feature prominently in Daniel Farke's side.
When asked about Buonanotte by our sister title the Yorkshire Evening Post earlier this week, Farke said: "I like a lot what he's done in the last two, three weeks. I've spoke with him, given him a sign we're happy with the consistency he delivers in training.
"He was pretty close to the matchday squad [at West Ham] though many players were fit. Perhaps a chance for him now there are a few injuries.
"But the solution is always deliver with consistency in training, not just one good session. You have to do this for a few weeks to be back in the spotlight. It means when I call him up I would need to leave another player in the offence."

Marco Silva says 'incredible' player who blew Arne Slot away will now miss Liverpool vs Fulham
Fulham will be without three injured first-team players as they travel to face Liverpool on Saturday evening, Marco Silva has confirmed.
The Cottagers will fancy their chances at Anfield having watched the Reds lose their past three matches.
They are also unbeaten against Liverpool in the past two meetings between the teams, with Harrison Reed's wonder-goal securing them a point at Craven Cottage in January. Three months on, Silva has declared that Reed will play no part on Saturday, along with Kenny Tete and Kevin.
Reed will not have a chance to repeat Liverpool heroics
Reed was the unlikely hero for Fulham during January's draw, scoring a last-gasp equaliser which Liverpool fans will not be forgetting any time soon.
Arne Slot was certainly impressed, hailing the 'incredible' nature of the strike immediately after the game.
But speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Silva confirmed that Reed had picked up a knock leading up to the game and would therefore not get a chance to repeat his heroics.
"Harrison Reed is going to be out," the Portuguese said. "He got a knock two days ago in the session, in his knee. Doesn't look like anything really serious, but he's going to be out of the Liverpool game."
Silva also ruled out right-back Tete and Kevin, who provided the assist for Reed's stunner in January.
"Related with the [Liverpool] game, Kevin is going to be still out," he said. "Kenny in the same situation, too. There's something there, the foot, let's see.
"When he's going to be without pain, he's going to start to work with the team, and he's going to be, after a matter of time, back in a good fitness way and good physical condition, to be in contention for the games."
For Liverpool, they are slowly returning to better shape in terms of availability, but will be without long-term absentees Giovanni Leoni, Wataru Endo and Conor Bradley, along with Alisson Becker.

Liverpool accidentally sold player to Fulham after manager got confused
Liverpool accidentally sold a player to Fulham in 2010 after a case of mistaken identity, with manager Roy Hodgson confusing Alexander Kacaniklic for another academy player in the Paul Konchesky deal
Liverpool once mistakenly offloaded a player to Fulham — this Saturday's opposition — due to a case of mistaken identity.
The peculiar episode occurred in 2010, during Roy Hodgson's troubled tenure at Anfield. Hodgson, who turns 79 in August, is back in the news at the moment after returning to soccer management with Bristol City. After moving to the Reds from Fulham in 2010, Hodgson was keen to bring Paul Konchesky with him to Merseyside.
The two clubs ultimately struck an agreement, with Liverpool paying a transfer fee and sending two promising academy prospects, Lauri Dalla Vale and Alexander Kacaniklic. However, according to Kacaniklic, he wasn't meant to be part of the transaction, with Liverpool accidentally negotiating for the wrong player.
"Before I signed [for Fulham], I had a conversation with Roy Hodgson on the phone, where we found out that he had chosen the wrong Alex," the Swede revealed in 2019. "In his head, he thought he had sold another Alex for Konchesky. But then it was too late."
Upon realizing the blunder, Hodgson attempted to reverse the deal — but without success. "He [Hodgson] just told me I was welcome back in Liverpool with open arms," Kacaniklic recalled. "But by then I had already made my mind up and was very excited about coming to Fulham."
Hodgson succeeded Rafa Benitez at the club shortly after steering Fulham to the Europa League final, where the London club fell to Atletico Madrid. He ultimately secured just seven victories from his 20 matches in charge before departing the club by mutual consent in January 2011.
"When Roy Hodgson came to the club, it was a little different, a big change," Kacaniklic observed. "Benitez had been there before and made the club his own with everyone who worked at the club.
"When he left and took all his people with him, it became a bit turbulent. Hodgson didn't look so much at us youngsters, he wanted quick results."
Kacaniklic arrived at Liverpool aged 16 in 2007, spending three years developing through the academy system before departing for Fulham. At Craven Cottage, he racked up 100 appearances during a six-year period, subsequently moving to French side Nantes in 2016. The winger also represented Sweden on 21 occasions before hanging up his boots in 2025.
Hodgson, for his part, bounced back from his underwhelming Liverpool tenure with a successful period at West Bromwich Albion, earning him the England manager's position in 2012. His four-year reign encompassed three major international competitions.
Yet his team never progressed beyond a knockout round — making the quarterfinals at Euro 2012, crashing out during the group phase at the 2014 World Cup, and suffering an unexpected last-16 elimination against Iceland at Euro 2016.
The 78-year-old will undoubtedly be watching with interest this Saturday as his two former clubs face off. Liverpool enters the fixture looking to narrow the deficit to Aston Villa, who began the weekend holding a five-point advantage over them in fourth place.
Arne Slot's players have been enduring a difficult spell lately, having lost three consecutive matches to Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Brighton. They have also managed just two victories in their last eight fixtures across all competitions.
Fulham, by contrast, trails Liverpool by five points in the table and is in strong form. Marco Silva's players are mounting a late charge for European qualification, having secured three wins from their last five league outings.

Chris Sutton disagrees with Alan Shearer and Paul Merson on Liverpool vs Fulham prediction
Liverpool will be looking to end its losing streak as it returns to Premier League action against Fulham, although Chris Sutton disagrees with his fellow pundits on how the Reds will fare
Chris Sutton is expecting Liverpool's winless streak to continue as it returns to Premier League action against Fulham on Saturday.
The Reds have been in poor form on either side of the international break as their season continues to disappoint. Having been thrashed by Manchester City in the FA Cup last weekend, Arne Slot's side fell to a 2-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, leaving them a mountain to climb in their Champions League quarter-final.
Before it hosts the defending European champions at Anfield though, Liverpool will be aiming to get back on track in the league as it takes on a Fulham side with its own European aspirations.
The Reds currently occupy the final Champions League qualification spot, having been boosted this week by the Premier League securing another place for next season.
Given how tight things are in the table though, Liverpool is going to have to vastly improve on recent showings and send a message to its rivals by returning to winning ways against Fulham today.
Both Alan Shearer and Paul Merson have backed the Reds to do just that, which would come as a major boost ahead of Chelsea facing City on Sunday, with Liam Rosenior's side sitting just a point behind ahead of the weekend.
Former Blues striker Sutton doesn't fancy Liverpool's chances though, and is expecting the Reds to go a fourth league game without a win.
Predicting a 2-2 draw at Anfield, Sutton told BBC Sport: "It feels like a lot of Liverpool fans have made their minds up about Arne Slot, and that he needs to go.
"That still feels harsh to me - after all, Slot won the Premier League last season. Yes, this has been a disappointing campaign, but surely winning a title in your first year buys you some time?
"Liverpool are clearly not playing well at the moment, though. I've been thinking for a while now that they are going to get out of this slump because of the players they have got - but when you watch them there is nothing to suggest it will happen, and they have been so inconsistent for so long now."
Sutton added: "Fulham are a good side and I can see them causing Liverpool problems too, no matter what shape Slot goes with this time.
"It finished 2-2 when these two sides met at Craven Cottage in January, and I have a feeling there will be a few goals this time as well."
Liverpool will be hoping it can prove Sutton wrong as it begins what is set to be a decisive run of league games at the business end of the season.
The Reds are also set to face Everton and Crystal Palace before the end of the month, and will need all the momentum that can get before coming up against Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa in May, with Brentford the final team to visit Anfield.

Arne Slot's Liverpool v Fulham programme notesArne Slot previews the task for Liverpool against Fulham at Anfield today in his matchday programme notes. After a Champions League defeat by Paris Saint-Germain in midweek in the first leg of their quarter-final, the Reds return to Premier League duty.
Head coach Slot says: "It is clear and obvious that for us this is a phase of the season which not only includes a number of challenging games in a short space of time, it is also one that will go a long way towards determining whether or not we can fulfil our remaining objectives.
"While I would be the first to admit that the season has not been the one we wanted, it still offers us opportunities – if we can take them.
"We know exactly what is still on offer to us and we also know how much effort we will have to put in and how well we will need to perform if we are to finish as strongly as we would like to.
"Today this means taking on a Fulham team who have their own objectives and who will come to Anfield looking to make things as difficult for us as always.
"I am sure that no-one will need to be reminded of the last time we faced Fulham in the Premier League because that was a day when we showed so much character and quality to put ourselves within touching distance of a vital win only for it to be snatched away from us in the very last seconds.
"This is credit to them, of course, and it was also typical of the way Marco Silva's team play because they always give us a proper test and, as that occasion showed, they are the kind of opponent who will look to push you all the way.
"For us, though, that game should give us another incentive to go one step further today and we can do this if we use that disappointment and the knowledge of how it came about as an incentive.
"We also have to do something even more important and that is to not be distracted in any way, shape or form by the fact that we have another vital fixture coming in three days' time.
"The second leg against Paris Saint-Germain can wait. It would serve us no purpose to think about it now or even to look back too much on what happened in the first leg.
"This is the Premier League – a totally different competition – and if we are to give ourselves the best possible chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League, we have to give it our full attention and not get involved in thinking about what else is on the horizon.
"This is why we constantly tell ourselves that it is always about taking one game at a time. Any other approach would be a mistake, particularly when each match we play has so much riding on it, as is true of this stage of the season.
"We also owe it to our supporters to give this game and nothing else our full attention, particularly after the disappointing results we have had lately.
"I know a lot was said about some of our fans choosing to leave early at Manchester City last weekend, but I always say it is up to us to perform in a way that keeps them involved. Doing that is key in every game we play and this is something that is even more true at Anfield, where our supporters can – and so often do – make such a massive difference.
"On this note, I would like to thank our fans who travelled to Paris in midweek for the backing they gave us. When I went to the side of the pitch during our warm-up the first song I heard from the away end was 'We love you Liverpool, we do.'
"This said everything to me, particularly after the disappointment of our performance and result at City.
"So the onus is on us to perform for you. This has been easier said than done so far this season of course, but hopefully today we can do what is required before moving on to the next challenge."

Marco Silva shares his thoughts on Liverpool's recent struggles
Marco Silva Issues Clear Warning to Liverpool Ahead of Anfield Clash
Liverpool head into a crucial Premier League fixture against Fulham under growing scrutiny, with recent results raising questions about consistency under Arne Slot. A run of three straight defeats has disrupted momentum, yet expectation around the club remains unchanged. At Anfield, the demand is always for a response.
From Fulham's perspective, this is a moment filled with possibility, but not complacency. Marco Silva has struck a measured tone ahead of the trip, acknowledging Liverpool's dip while refusing to assume any advantage.
Liverpool Form Under Pressure
Liverpool's defeats against Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion have created an unfamiliar narrative around the reigning Premier League champions. Fatigue, squad rotation and the intensity of competing across multiple competitions have all played a part.
Slot has already hinted that changes may be necessary, particularly with player workload becoming a factor. Even so, Liverpool at Anfield remain a different proposition, especially when urgency replaces rhythm.
Fulham are fully aware of that reality.
Marco Silva Reaction To Liverpool Struggles
Speaking via Fulhamfc.com, Silva addressed Liverpool's recent form with a pragmatic outlook.
"Of course, all the clubs, they have ups and downs. In a big club, any defeat probably hurts more."
It is a sentiment rooted in experience. Silva understands the scrutiny that surrounds elite sides, and the speed at which narratives can shift. His focus, however, is on how Liverpool respond.
"It's part of a season. And, of course, it's always the way you are going to react for the bad moments that is going to be decisive."
Those words reflect caution rather than optimism. Fulham are preparing for a reaction, not a repeat of Liverpool's recent shortcomings.
Fulham Opportunity Against Liverpool
There is no denying the opportunity in front of Fulham. Three consecutive defeats suggest vulnerability, at least on the surface. Silva acknowledged as much, while also highlighting the uncertainty surrounding how those results will influence the upcoming match.
"They lost three games in a row in different competitions, and if it's going to have an impact or not in the game, we don't know."
That uncertainty defines this fixture. Liverpool could arrive fatigued and fragile, or re-energised and clinical. History at Anfield suggests the latter is often the case.
Fulham's approach, therefore, must balance ambition with discipline. Any lapse could be punished quickly, particularly if Liverpool find early momentum.
Anfield Factor And Match Outlook
Anfield remains one of the defining elements in fixtures like this. The crowd, the tempo and the sense of occasion can shift the balance within minutes. Slot has already emphasised the importance of supporters, especially during challenging periods.
For Liverpool, this is about reaffirming standards. For Fulham, it is about testing them at a moment of doubt.
Silva's assessment captures that balance. Liverpool may be experiencing a dip, but they remain, in his words, a "very, very good side." That acknowledgement ensures Fulham arrive prepared, rather than expectant.
The outcome may hinge less on recent form and more on mentality. Liverpool's response, Fulham's belief, and the influence of Anfield will shape a contest that feels finely poised despite appearances.
