Everton rival Fulham in Arthur Atta race, price revealed
Everton and Fulham are reportedly interested in signing Udinese central midfielder Arthur Atta in the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Italian publication Tuttosport, Everton and Fulham are hoping to sign 23-year-old French midfielder Arthur Atta from Serie A club Udinese, and he will cost around €35-40 million.
Interestingly, Fulham were also keen on signing the youngster from Udinese in the winter transfer window, but they reportedly failed with a bid worth €20 million.
Arthur Atta is a new arrival at the Serie A club this season, but he has done quite well for them this term. The French midfielder has four goals and four assists to his name in all competitions. He could prove to be an excellent addition for the Premier League clubs as well.
The 23-year-old can operate as a central midfielder as well as in the attacking midfield role. He will help create opportunities for his teammates and add more creativity and control to the team.
Everton have done quite well in the Premier League this season, and they are pushing for a place in Europe. They need to keep improving the team to compete at the highest level consistently. Adding more control and creativity in the middle of the park could be a wise decision for them. They need more goals on the side, and the Serie A star could be ideal.
Atta Serie A 2025/26 stats
Goals and assists: 6
Key passes per game: 1.2
Pass accuracy: 82%
Big chances created: 5
Succ. dribbles per game: 1.9
Duels won per game: 4.5
Balls recovered: 3.2
Meanwhile, Fulham have done quite well in the Premier League as well. The Cottagers are very much in the race for European qualification, but it seems that they have now reached a saturation point. The West London outfit had a similar campaign last term, but they failed to finish strongly due to the lack of quality and depth in the team.
Marco Silva has clearly taken them as far as possible, and they need quality players in order to improve further. To compete in Europe, the London club need to bring in top-quality players. Adding a goalscoring central midfielder would be a wise decision.
Fulham recently crashed to a defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League, and it was clear that they need more goals and creativity from the middle of the park. Both clubs have the financial muscle to pay around €40 million for Atta, and it remains to be seen which of the two clubs comes forward with an official offer in the summer.

"I don't feel 100% yet" – Fulham striker candid on injuries and form, praises Marco Silva
Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is going through a very different season compared to his previous two campaigns, with just one goal in 19 appearances across all competitions.
After signing a new contract and becoming a key attacking figure at Craven Cottage in the past couple of seasons, expectations were higher this time around. However, injuries and a lack of rhythm have disrupted his momentum, forcing the Brazilian to rebuild his form step by step.
Those struggles formed the backdrop to a recent interview to ESPN Brazil, conducted right before Fulham's trip to Anfield last Saturday. Muniz would go on to start that match, leading the line before being substituted late on, as Fulham were beaten 2-0 away from home.
Injury struggles and search for rhythm
Rodrigo Muniz was open about the difficult period he has endured in recent months.
"The last six months were difficult. I've been back for a month now. I don't feel 100% yet. In the last two weeks without games, they worked on me more, with different training, and now I feel good."
It is a huge contrast from the 2024/25 season. Because of his top form, he was heavily linked with a move to Atalanta last summer that ended up not happenning. And he knows everyone misses his performances.
"I still hope to be the Rodrigo from last season. I think I have everything to be that player again, the one who scores goals."
He also pointed to external factors that can influence performance levels.
"Not just Brazilians, but players from everywhere feel better when it's warm. When it's cold, it's not an excuse, but it's a bit harder."
Studying forwards and improving his game
Rodrigo Muniz revealed he is still studying other forwards closely, especially Ollie Watkins.
"He's a player that catches my attention. I watch videos because of his movement. He can come short and attack space. It's what I need to do. He makes movements that confuse defenders. Because of that and the goals he's scored, he really stands out."
However, he also admitted his own game needs to adapt depending on the opponent.
"I think Marco Silva sets the team up very well for each week. There are games where I have to drop deeper, others where I have to push the defence back more. It depends on the match."
Teammates, Brazil links and dressing room life
Rodrigo Muniz also spoke emotionally about former teammate Andreas Pereira.
"He's someone I'll take for life, like a brother. I miss him every day. For the last three years he was here, helping me. The club misses him too because he was one of the captains and brought good things on and off the pitch."
He also shared a lighter moment about his time in England, including watching matches from the stands while injured.
"I asked the club if I could watch, but there was no space in the boxes. They said there was a place with the fans. I said fine and went there. It was a great experience."
He recalled hearing his own chant.
"When I arrived, the fans were already singing my song. I thought, 'this is amazing'."
Future ambitions and Fulham's targets
Looking at the bigger picture, Muniz made clear that Fulham still had ambitions for the final stretch of the season.
"Marco Silva is very ambitious. In meetings, he makes it clear we can reach Europe, but we need results. We have seven finals left and must treat them like finals. We have everything to do it because we're having a good season."
On a personal level, his motivation is equally clear.
"Playing in Europe is a dream since I was a kid. I've been here a long time, from the Championship to the Premier League, and it would be very special."
In the end, the defeat at Anfield underlined the challenge ahead for him. He is back on the pitch, but still searching for his best form.
The final weeks of the season will now be key, both for Fulham's ambitions and for Muniz's attempt to prove last season was not a one-off.

Not about Super Eagles: Real reason Ngumoha and Bassey linked up after Liverpool v Fulham
Allnigeriasoccer.com can report with certainty that the interaction between Calvin Bassey and Rio Ngumoha after Liverpool's 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday at Anfield was not related to the Super Eagles, contrary to speculation in some quarters.
Ngumoha has earned rave reviews for his imperious display against the Cottagers, during which he became the youngest player in history to score in a Premier League match at Anfield, breaking the deadlock at just 17 years and 225 days old.
Shortly after the final whistle, television cameras captured Bassey and Ngumoha smiling and exchanging light-hearted banter on the Anfield pitch, sparking speculation that the Fulham centre-back was acting as an unofficial intermediary to persuade the Liverpool forward to represent the Super Eagles.
Bassey and Ngumoha have known each other since childhood, having both trained at London-based grassroots club EastSoccerBase during their formative years.
They are both from the same locality, Manor Park, a residential area in the London Borough of Newham.
The Nigeria international was simply engaging in a friendly conversation with Ngumoha, given their shared ties to East Soccer Base and their common residential area.
As things stand, Ngumoha, who is provisionally cap-tied to England, remains committed to the 1966 world champions.
The Liverpool number 73 featured for the Young Lions at U15, U16 and U17 level, before being fast-tracked into the U19 setup after breaking into the Reds first team.
