Newcastle down to 14th after todays home defeat to Bournemouth.
Think he might be gone shortly, after all their previous season expectations.
Good replacement for Marco I reckon, clearly carrying too much weight on his shoulders at that dump

It's already been widely reported for a while now that the Saudis want a high profile manager for next season, this is thought to be the reason why results have tailed off.
I do believe a position at Bournemouth has just become available

I don't think he'd be an upgrade. The table doesn't lie.

Dead man walking. Decent bloke. But club too big for him.
Fulham a good fit for Howe IF Silva goes back to the olive oil business.
I'd take Eddie in a heartbeat if Silva goes. Take away someone like Isaak and put too much pressure on anyone, tough to recreate brilliance every season. We've got good players. They're just bored.

It's clearly not too big for him given he one The League Cup last year, beating Man City. The issue is they failed to adequately replace Isak, Howe is partly culpable for that as he was closely involved with the transfer process, but it's nothing to do with the job being too big for him.
I often think managers like Howe run out of ideas after two or three seasons? I rate him but think his quite far off being an elite type. International management might end up suiting him better long term. Would I take him at Fulham "Yes" but I think he would see us as a backward step now and we might be looking at him in a similar way to what some are looking at Marco now thinking as it gone stale?
I've not been a Silva out fan but if Howe would come then I'd take him in a heartbeat rather than let Silva umm and aarh any longer. I really rate Howe.
I'd take Frank too if eddies not available

bored is right and the motivation has disappeared.
I don't think he'd be a good replacement for Marco. In our current set up, it appears to me that we are heavily dependent on the manager as far as transfers go. The club has no director of football or institutional scouting set up. I think Marco has a big say in who we identify as targets and who we end up signing. In both instances where Howe was in charge of transfers in the past both at Bournemouth and this last summer at Newcastle it's been a disaster. I would not want Eddie Howe in charge of the clubs transfer business.
